Four Brothers Pizza Inn
This restaurant has an identity crisis. It can't decide whether it is a Greek Diner or an Italian restaurant. We ordered a Greek salad and a half meat-lovers and half Vegetarian salad. Neither dish left me wanting for more. There were less than ten people in the restaurant with one waitress who also bussed the tables. She was pleasant but didn't seem particularly present. This was the first restaurant in Rhinebeck that was disappointing.
Delicious, wholesome food at fair prices. Very friendly, efficient waitress. This branch of Four Brothers looks nothing like the other branches, so I suspect that it may have once been a fused part of the neighboring restaurant, Country Kitchens. Small, single occupant bathroom, but clean. Free wi-fi and ample parking. My only suggestion is for the installation of coat hooks at the booths, since my party’s coats kept falling off the booth’s seat onto the floor, and I saw no coat rack in the restaurant.
Quinn's
Went here with 2 other people, did sake, non alcoholic and alcoholic beer, 2 types of ramen, potato croquette hot dog, crispy tofu, overall the ramen was executed perfectly, some of the other items I think have some work to be done; would def recommend checking it out Atmosphere hella cool, feels like you are in an underground Tokyo spot nobody knows about.awesome lighting, stage for small live music Service excellent, attentive and polite; made great suggestions on sake Food: this is where I think some recommendations could be helpful: Potato croquette hot dog: this came served as a normal hot dog with 2 potato croquettes on top, I think this was overall tasty, but the execution had so many missed opportunities!! This should be a hot dog coated in mashed potato croquette filling, and deep fried, no bun needed - this one conceptually wasn’t complete and the needle wasn’t thread across the dish Crispy tofu - the sauce was all sitting at the bottom, although the tofu was super crispy and delicious. The sauce needed to be spread evenly and properly when served; half way through we realized we had all this good sauce sitting at the bottom instead of coating the tofu Ramen: excellent, veggie ramen had these juicy delicious mushrooms cooked to perfection 🤤
The atmosphere of this place is perfect and the food is great too. You have got to get a hot dog. Honestly get two!! There was a band playing and it was bustling but not too loud to carry on a conversation
The Tasting Room Restaurant
The duck confit was excellent: strong flavors and moist. I would happily eat this many times. The skewer appetizer and the fettuccini were good. The desserts left me expecting more.
Had a delicious dinner here before seeing a play at Bard. I had the beautiful tasty crab cakes to start and my husband the clam special. We both had the lamb main course, which was cooked to perfection with an amazing onion tartlet. The baked Nebraska and affogato were a great way to finish the meal. Linda our waitress was attentive and really lovely. We will be back.
Golden Buddha
Beautiful place with Buddha decorations, relaxing and calm, we could do meditation. The waitress was very welcoming and nice. Thai tea was very very good. We had chicken satay as an appetizer, red curry, basil Thai fried rice, level 3 it was very spicy but still tasty. Also pad Thai noodle with tomatoe sauce, it was different from some other pad Thai I had before, more sweet/salty flavor. It tasted like authentic Thai spices, it’s a pretty strong flavor. As a desert, we had banana sticky sweet rice with coconut cream, it was light and delicious. We enjoyed every bite!
I can’t recommend this place enough. What a great find! We went here yesterday as a group and the food and the service was impeccable. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options and they accommodate greatly to make your meals for that. Also, what’s amazing about this place is it’s good for spicy food lovers and non-spicy food lovers. My friends and I love spicy, so we could order things level-5-Thai-spicy, which we enjoyed so much. On the other hand, for our spice intolerant friend, they made things mild. This is the attention to detail that we really value and that keeps us coming back. The drunken noodles were the best that I ever had and the green Thai curry. Save some room for dessert, because the mango sticky rice is amazing. Also, a unique dessert that I got to try was the fried cheesecake. It was so delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Thank you Mix for the amazing time !
Leo's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
Went for pizza on the left hand side. The right side is the restaurant. Pizza looks decent. Enough seating for a quick bite as well. They also have gluten free cauliflower crust. They were very busy so food must be good.
My father was a culinary trained chef and Sicilian, so I am spoiled when it comes to Italian food. Leo’s surprised me! Their Pasta e Fagiolo and garlic bread with Kalamata olive spread could have been a whole meal by itself. You could taste how fresh the soup was. The orrechiette with broccoli rabe and sausage had real Italian sausage. My husband had Parmesan encrusted Chicken Martini and the chicken was moist and the lemon sauce was bright. The spinach was sautéed with roast garlic and divine! To top off a great meal, our waiter John was so warm and attentive. We will be back!
Momo Valley
Food: ⭐⭐⭐ The food is good and I want to say it is good, however, I have to say there are aspects to their food that aren't good. For example: the potatoes in the dal bhat Everest platter were raw and crunchy. To a point that a few were inedible. Mind you, it was tasty, but raw. The mango lassi was delicious, however, had a lot of thickened yogurt (curd) which wasn't churned enough. Himalayan chicken bowl was tasty, however, extremely creamy. Last but not the least, although the name of the restaurant reads momo valley, they didn't have Momos at all on a Sunday night!!!!!!!! Service:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All 5 stars for service. The receptionist welcomed us and made us wait 5-10 mins until a 5 top table opened up. Upon our 6th guest arrival he accommodated us with a 6 top table even at the rush hour. The laterine cleaners were kind enough to let us use the restrooms before we left. Their service was excellent. Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The restaurant is pretty small probably 30-40 members could dine. A very tiny waiting area that is probably in the way of the kitchen and the restroom. They need to work on the waiting area for the guests. The music was soothing, however, could barely hear the music.
This place is run with love. Wonderful service. Pleasant interior design. Don’t get fooled by the simple look of the foods. Their fragrant smell, sophisticated flavors, and right-on-the-spot textures will take you on an amazing sensory journey that makes your eyes pop and jaw drop.
Wonderbar Beacon
So glad we stopped here when we were passing through Beacon. Great menu offers a mix of elevated and comfort foods, all delicious. Really appreciated the cocktail menu that had some amazing season specials (the Hot Buttered Rum was sensational). And the decor and environment were gorgeous.
What a gem this place is! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the sushi fritters and wagyu burger and they were both amazing. I definitely care about the atmosphere when I’m dining and it was truly perfection. The dim lighting and moody vibes create an inviting warmth that was just what we were looking for. Both the front room and side room were gorgeous. Special shout out to the bartender in the blue one piece and manager (?) with the white blazer for accommodating us on New Year’s Eve! (Didn’t get names, sorry.) It was a last minute trip and we didn’t have reservations but they made it happen and gave us a perfect little table in the side room by the fireplace. Our waitress, Sky (I think) was fantastic as well! Personable yet professional. It was the perfect experience for our New Year’s Eve Night! Definitely recommend to locals and visitors.
Gymkhana Cuisine Of India
It's a nice small restaurant situated in a strip mall. The name of the restaurant is so catchy unfortunately its far from everything. Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food was excellent everything we ordered was cooked accordingly. I would recommend the Kodi vepudu and lamb mapas. The chicken biryani pretty good, however wasn't authentic. The garlic naan was extremely garlicy. Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The restaurant was recently renovated and on a Thursday evening the restaurant looked pretty packed with frequent and diverse customers. The bathrooms are massive and so clean. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Although the service was pretty good, it's hard to give 5 stars only because each time I said thank you, there was no acknowledgement of being cordial towards the customer in return. The person who took the order however was very good and was engaging in conversations with everyone making them feel welcomed and comfortable. The dress codes of the waiters aren't very appealing to the eye especially when they are stained. The TV kept playing baseball instead of playing Bollywood music or something of Indian tradition. Advice: Get new dining tables and chairs, they look 15 years old and don't match the atmosphere. Use authentic Indian wall hangings and ambient lighting.
Taken here by friends who really love the food here. It was amazing, very authentic delicious flavours and aromas. They have my favourite naan (peshwari) and a great variety of curries. The service was very good and friendly. Nice relaxing atmosphere and obviously popular, with lots of customers in and ordering out
Empire Wok
I ordered wonton soup and egg drop soup over the weekend. Since when does it have so much pepper in it? I had to throw it out. I've ordered before and never had that happen.
Worst take out I’ve ever had. The fried rice was the only edible dish out of the 5 dishes we ordered and even that had undercooked (crunchy) rice. The broccoli beef tasted like it was cooked in canned gravy, the chicken with snow peas had zero flavor, the egg rolls were so chewy you could barely take a bite of it, and the same goes for the rest. Never again. It didn’t help that they weren’t very friendly but I can overlook that for some good food. This was NOT it.
Red Pepper Diner
Delicious Sri Lankan food and wonderful service from friendly staff. Everything was served promptly. The hot tea was delicious- served with a dark brown-sugar like nugget that you are encouraged to suck on in between sips of tea. Loved it! Dessert was also delicious- I forgot to take a picture. It was like a creamy flan. Very tasty. On a cold day (12 degrees) it was a bit cold in the restaurant. Not sure if their heating was not working that day. But it was fine, we just ate with our coats on and they set up heaters and made everyone comfortable. I found the dishes to be a little bit over priced ($18 for rice and eggs), but that also might just be par for the course in Beacon, NY. It was such a delicious and lovely experience that I would still come back even at those prices. Always happy to support local businesses.
What an amazing little gem we stumbled upon during our trip to upstate NY. Beautifully decorated, cozy vibe and amazing hospitality. The food was so tasty and the positions were perfect. We will definitely be back.
Trattoria Locanda
A Delightful New Year's Eve at Trattoria Locanda My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria Locanda, a place we've visited several times before. Our most recent visit on New Year's Eve was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped by the intimate atmosphere that Trattoria Locanda is known for. The warm lighting and cozy decor set the perfect tone for a memorable evening. The food, as always, was outstanding. Each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to authentic Italian cuisine. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. What truly sets Trattoria Locanda apart is the overall ambiance. It's a place where you can relax and enjoy a wonderful meal in a welcoming environment. Whether it's a special occasion or just a casual night out, Trattoria Locanda never fails to impress. We look forward to our next visit and highly recommend Trattoria Locanda to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
We were out of town from MD to visit family in NY. Found this gem when looking for restaurants near our hotel. Main St Fishkill was decorated so pretty for the season as was the restaurant. Service was wonderful and meals delicious. Pricing and portion size gracious as well. Wish near our home because so many menu choices and daily specials. We enjoyed calarmari, bruchetta, came with fresh bread, a lg side salad, side pasta, veal franchese and zuppa seafood were main entrees and finished with tiramisu.🎄❣

I tried it so you don’t have to. I wasn’t expecting a lot- I just wanted run of the mill Chinese food. This was worse. After a few bites I wasn’t hungry anymore. I couldn’t eat the fried wontons because they tasted like dirty oil. And I’m not that picky. On the other hand, the kids behind the counter were very nice and did a good job with service. But next time I will go back to my go-to Kai’s Kitchen across the street.
Ordered my dinner that I was craving I always order NO EXTRA VEGETABLES IN MY FOOD NO CARROTS NO PEAS NO WATER CHESTNUT. Messed up everything I ordered. When I called I asked how old the child was that took my and she said 11. Maybe that’s the problem. I ordered chicken and mushrooms barely any mushrooms and barely any chicken. So disappointed
