Waka Asian Bistro
The decor is nice, and the food is delicious. I ordered the singapore mei fun with chicken, crispy walnut shrimp, dinosaur roll, and a half & half drink. Everything was amazing!
The staff are very kind and helpful. One staff member was especially nice, and kept asking us if we needed anything. The food is delicious and arrives really fast. This restaurant is amazing and you should definitely try it out!
Lotus Garden
Lotus Garden was a hit! We had never eaten in Utica before and saw this came recommended and it didn’t disappoint! From the Thai iced tea to the bang bang shrimp to the Beef lo mein, everything was great! Prices were more than fair too. The service was also above average; We will definitely be back!
The panko batter on the bang bang shrimp is super crunchy. The Pad Thai was delicious. I ordered it spicy and it was perfect.
Hunan Cafe - King Street (Halal)
We went there because they offer halal food. Everything on the menu is halal. we liked their general Tso' chicken and crab Rangoon. Everything else was bad. The combo lo mein we ordered was old. The beef and shrimp in it was smelling and tasted bad. Could not eat this dish at all and left it on the table. We suspect the lo mein was at least a day old. The sweet and sour chicken tasted weird and the sauce was watery. We didn't even bother taking this home. Will not returning here again.such a waste of money and time.
After waiting and watching for this restaurant to open, my wife and I are glad that the anticipation was worth it. The friendly staff are more than happy to explain anything on the menu, as well as tell you about the history of the restaurant and owner. The menu isn't vast by design, which assures the customer the freshest ingredients in a fast prep time. The restaurant is not huge, but is very clean and well maintained. The restaurant is handicapped accessible and has high chairs available for those bringing children to dine in. With tip, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees totalled $52. This seemed reasonable for the amount of food we received. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the care taken to prepare the food. This restaurant will for sure be a neighborhood staple.
P K's Pub
I live 3,000 miles away and I come here every time I come “home” to the Valley. Everything about P.K.’s is awesome: Tonight, best ever! The server (female) best ever!!! A MUST when you want great food at affordable prices in a residential neighborhood.
Chicken francesse was phenomenal. Mac and cheese was on another level of amazing. The Utica greens were the best I ever had. Just awesome food catered for an event. Highly Highly recommend!!
Kai Xia Chinese Restaurant
The garlic chicken is a 10/10 I get it EVERY SINGLE time!! It does NOT disappoint!! Coming from the west coast I’ve struggled to find decent Chinese food that tastes similar to what I grew up with. The garlic chicken hits the spot every time for me! The chicken low mein is also a family favorite our kids.
Very rarely do we have any problems with food here and we been ordering since 2008. I miss when they had pineapples in the s&s chicken. You get enough food for two or so meals. It's cash only which I appreciate since other restaurants upcharge and fee you so much for card use. At one point they did have this though. Would love more ambiance but it is a country town restaurant post pandemic.
Bamboo Restaurant
Bamboo is a favorite. It's been around forever. Food is top notch. 😋 service was slower than usual and they do a lot of take out. Mostly take out. You could grab a table or sit at the front. It was cold inside while I waited so it's really a take out place. Awesomeness 👌
Do not order here. Hate to say it but this was such a waste of money and an embarrassing display of take out! I will follow up with pictures but we ordered dinner for 6 and here's how it went: The good: 1) fried rice was decent The bad: 1) Chicken balls were all dough 2) Egg rolls were flat and tasted old 3) chow mein was really "gooey" and had no real flavour 4) Honey Garlic spare ribs were a miserable excuse for meat 5) Breaded shrimp was very doughy and the vein wasn't removed...in my opinion this is disgusting. 6) Menu said that $70 before tax would get extra chicken balls or chicken wings...I assume breaded shrimp was given instead but it was gross. I hate to call out a restaurant like this but this is terrible. If you serve food to the public then you should take pride in it. Maybe my expectations are too high but if you think this is "good food" then you may be delusional. *maybe update the inside restaurant....it's falling apart. Tile coming off the floor place hasn't changed in 40 years.
Yangtze River
This place was delightful! The pricing and food was better than anything I have gotten in or around Boston. We got the Plum Duck which was excellently cooked and Lamb and Scallion dish. The beef teriyaki was amazing! Will be back next time we go to Kimball Farms.
Lunch Buffet: good variey snd flavors but not refreshed/replenished and stuff got cold and unappetizing. Go at noon, no later.
Great Wall Hibachi
While mine was just ok, everyone else loved their food, hence the 5-star review. I ordered steamed rice and steamed vegetables, hence bland. But without oil, how I like it. The Mongolian beef with rice seemed to be a standout. Eggdrop soup just ok too. & 5 stars for being open on Christmas too.
This food is amazingggg! The staff were friendly and they made my food fast! Not to mention it was a great serving size for a great price! Highly recommend getting a lunch special. You can’t beat that price for the food included and the amount you get. Also they have white sauce 🤌🤌 I love that they have pancit too! It was absolutely delicious. I will be coming back in the future!
New Peking Chinese Restaurant
I ordered from the New Peking in November 2024. My first impression was the all too common older restaurant that really needs an update, or at least some work. You order from behind a plastic window that separates the kitchen and counter area from what is considered a dining room. There are a good amount of booths, it’s very dark, and as earlier stated, needs work. I ordered the General special. That came with fried rice, soup and an egg roll. I think it was about $13. I feel that was a pretty fair price considering. I also grabbed two cans of soda for another $3. Although I didn’t need the second can, my total for dinner was only about $16 total. The food itself was okay. It wasn’t bad, but I definitely have had much better. But it did the job. I couldn’t eat it all. It wasn’t bad to eat. And it was pretty cost effective. I was only visiting the area and will not become a regular customer. But if back in the area, I would consider New Peking again. It’s not the best I’ve had. But is far from the worst. Like I said, it did the job.
Omg, my food was awful. This was always the best Chinese food in downtown Charleston. However, what a disappointment.I had Beef and broccoli and General Tso Chicken...there were no sauces just the meat, which was tough and over cooked. The only thing we were able to digest was the soup. Due to the egg prices, I guess they couldn't prepare Egg Foo Yung. This place needs a deep cleaning, improved lighting and better food prep. Again, what a fall from grace, the food was awful plus 😞
Ibiza Kitchen
A decent meal though quite pricey and not mind blowing like expected. Service was quick and besides the one server that periodically stop by, the rest of staff’s service was quite stiff with no smile or friendly gesture. Free street parking on weekend. Overall, worth stopping by once to cross off the list but personally would not dubbed as regular spot.
This place is amazing! Ignacio and Miguel were wonderful hosts and super gracious. Old school hospitality with a smile.😊😊😋😋Food was excellent - try the scallops and the Sea Bass -Yum! Finished off with a great dessert - Flan with chocolate sorbet and a great cappuccino! Great music selection as well - they pumped Gnarls Barkley - Crazy! Called up some friends from Nyack who loved the place as well!
