Chinatown Inn
Highly recommended! I was looking for a sit down Chinese restaurant similar to ones I had been to growing up, and tried Chinatown Inn for the first time. Atmosphere is comfortable and nicely decorated. We were sat quickly and greeted with waters and hot tea shortly after. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. Even with the dining room filling up- the service was great. Food arrived at a nice pace allowing time between appetizers, entrees etc, waters were frequently refilled, old plates cleared promptly. I saw other reviews about the egg-rolls and decided to try them- very good and a must have, larger size and much fresher than what you’ve probably had at any other restaurant- available in various styles - including vegetarian. I would also recommend the pork fried rice / pork and mushrooms. Nice amount of great quality roast pork in both dishes. Our server helped us pack out leftovers and cashed out our payments promptly. I’d highly recommend giving this location a try!
Chinatown Inn last standing Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh Chinatown. When you walk in it has an Asian feel I remember when I was young with the leather booths, the color red throughout the restaurant and fish tanks. Staff was very nice and outfit in old Asian attire. We first try the Chinatown Pu Pu Platter and dumpling to try out the different appetizers. Our entree were Beef with Broccoli, the Happy Gathering, the House Special Duck and the Salt and Pepper fish. The food was decent but I found it was made more for non Chinese than actual Chinese. Totally understandable since we were the only Chinese outside of the staff in the restaurant and they probably don’t get that many actual Chinese in the restaurant. But it was still a good experience.
Dumpling and Cajun Seafood
Service was excellent. But I got Cajun seafood combo (C2 on menu), but the crab was no clean, and even has some kind of parasites. The food is totally deep in the sauce, everything should be clean. I also got Cajun fries, and we just had a little bit of ketchup. Why they don’t let the ketchup on the table? We didn't even have enough for half the potatoes.
This Cajun and Chinese food mixed is unique and special. The food is excellent and well prepared. The dumplings are the best and very well prepared, better than other places and you have the soup inside each dumpling, which is well done. And the green string Beans was at the right tenderness. The problem is the parking… and the location is not the best
Hing Lung Cafe
I was traveling and was looking for a Chinese late night snack. That congee was mighty but a bit on the sweet side. The noodle dish is average or above average. That big fried dough not fresh so it’s all crunchy and hard. I’m sure this place can cook up some nice dishes since I was traveling and won’t be back until my next trip to South San Francisco.
Generous portion, tasty bbq pork and i like it that they are lean meat. The vegetable went well with the meat and rice. The dessert red bean soup is surprisingly good and not too sweet.
Yen Ching Restaurant
I have come to this place for years and the owner is amazing at making drinks and serving great food i highly recommend. It is slightly slow service but worth the wait. Drinks are strong. Food once you finally order sometimes takes a while. But iv e only had one time where one person's food came out slightly cold when in group setting but it wasn't that cold my friend/coworker at a luncheon was just picky and from vallejo california. So makes sense he would complain most reviews complaining are from Cali so go back where you came from I'm born and raised and this is best generals chicken. You'll ever have eat on boise !!!!
The food here was good - I got the sweet and sour and was not disappointed. Same as the crab rangoons… they were so good. Potstickers were just as good! The service was good, but they did appear to be understaffed which is unfortunate for them. Portions are huge! Overall, good place, but there is another place i’d say is better
Empire Chinese Kitchen
This was excellent. The staff were pleasant but also unobtrusive. We met with friends that hadn't seen in a while and needed to catch up. Didn't feel rushed. Food was excellent. Peking duck buns were delicious. I'd never had soup dumplings and was amazed by the perfect temperature and flavor. The green beans were so tasty! I only wish we had ordered the bacon fried rice ..next time!
A very hip spot for quite delicious Chinese fare. We tried a few dishes, all nicely executed with authentic flavor and flare while pleasing to the American palate. The plate arrangement suits solo or couples' portions, unlike old school setups, where food is meant to be shared by many off large oval plates. Empire serves up elevated home-style creations with matching technique and subtle spice blends that make them memorable and reminiscent of grandma's cooking. The food is truly delightful! Service is attentive, mindful and respectful. The space is well-appointed with personal touches everywhere that make you feel welcome and like you're dining in someone's home. Long live the Empire!
P.F. Chang's
Sat outside in the bar area and the vibe was perfect. Bartender took outstanding care of us. Ordered apps, sushi, Mongolian Beef, and dessert. Everything came out fast and each plate was more delicious than the last. The Chef was really on point today.

I have lived in Portland my entire life and had never been here. We came in and decided to dine in. The resturant is so nice and well decorated. The bar area is beautiful. The service was fantastic, and the food was phenomenal. The portions are also very large, it was nice to have left overs for lunch the next day. Will definitely be back!
Bento Asian Bistro
This family run small business has a huge menu with lots of options. I ordered so much food! I tried their seafood udon soup (AMAZING!!), braised eggplant (surprisingly sweet), mapo tofu (SO SPICY GOOD!), dragon roll bento, and milk tea (WOW!). Everything was delicious! And they actually gave me enough white rice for the entrees. Dining area is cozy and simple.
They have a list of authentic Chinese dishes. You won’t go wrong with any dish on that list if you want authentic Chinese flavors. Also, it has great price. My favorite is Three Cup Chicken (三杯鸡)Sour Pickled Cabbage Fish, (酸菜鱼)Shredded Beef (农家小炒肉)
Blue Sky
This place has many good reviews compared to other nearby spots, so I tried it out and ordered chicken fried rice. I've been sampling fried rice at various Chinese restaurants around the Bay Area lately. While I wouldn’t say this is the best I’ve had, it’s not bad. It falls on the better side of the spectrum; the rice was not greasy, which reflects the oil quality they use. The chicken was tender and tasted good, and the portion size was great. I might have added salt to the chili oil to enhance the flavor. The staff was friendly as well. I should come back and try more dishes!
I have had the pleasure of dining at Blue Sky Chinese restaurant over 35 years. In that time, it has hands down always been my favorite place to introduce my friends and family and visiting business associates to in the South Bay and we always gladly return for more delicious food. The service is top notch with a genuine smile and a caring way. Food is hot with healthy portions. Terri remembers my family and what we usually order even after my not going in for years at a stretch. I understand why this little gem is always busy from the moment it opens until closing. Do yourself a favor and check them out. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Blue Sky for many years of wonderful meals.
Grand Palace Seafood Restaurant 富源酒家
Came hungry, left full. Large portions, excellent flavor. Will return.
We went there around 20:45. The restaurant closes at 21:00. They still welcome us for having dinner. So we had quick orders stir-fry Chinese broccoli (kailan) with garlic, Yangzhou fried rice, dim sum and bbq pork buns. For 2 people I think it’s too much but yes I knew we ordered when we were very hungry. For me I like Kailan with garlic and fried rice. The texture of vegetable is still crispy outside but inside it is soft. It didn’t hard to chew it and it didn’t smell green as I am not a big fan of vegetables. Fried rice is good. It’s not oily and there was a strong flavor of wok. Dim sum and buns for me were ok but not the best one I have ever eaten. There is parking in front of the restaurant but it’s limited (around 3 cars can park) as it’s public parking along side of road. You can find some but maybe with a bit of walking then. Inside the restaurant was clean and have enough space. You can feel comfortable during enjoy your meal.
Ajamo
Falafel salad bowl was delicious! The falafel’s are baked and house made. I added sweet potato and quinoa to mine. Staff are nice and welcoming ☺️ Gluten-Free & Vegan 🌱
The people who work here are very sweet and provide great service. This is the only place where I like to eat salads from outside of my home. All the food here is fresh and tasty unlike other places
Sichuan Kitchen
I was here for dinner, walking in, it’s a nice little restaurant. The interior decor and design is great. I had the spicy dumplings for starter which was so delicious. Then I ordered the spicy pork noodles, they never asked me about the spice level so I assumed it would be what most can eat. The food came out extremely spicy, I tried one bite and knew there was no way I could eat it. They were generous enough to make my food again on a milder spice level but please make sure you specify how spicy you want your food. The heat is real. Besides that, I had a good experience here and I might be back to try more menu items.
This place blew me away. I wasn't expecting to have such bright bursts of complex Szechuan cuisine but every bite was an eyes widening head nodding "ooohhh yeah!!!" Tian shui noodles were the perfect way to start off. The sweet and sour cabbage was a sleeper agent. Really flavorful and cooked just right- some crunch but also soft enough. The double cooked pork was so tender. The xiao long bao also tasted so fresh. Everything was spicy and flavorful and unique. without all tasting the same. The menu had so many authentic options that I can't wait to try. Such kind calm service and peaceful atmosphere.
