As Asian, it hard to not eat rice or noodle one day while traveling. We always seek out the local Asian spot to fulfil our craving for some rice dishes. This is also one of the few spot that are open on weekdays as well in this area. Most restaurant only operates Thursday - Sunday. The owner came to greet us and chatted with us for a bit. He was nice and friendly. The food here was decent.

I think this is the first bad review I’ve given to any restaurant Mind you my experience was ordering a fried rice chicken they barely used chicken it was just fried flour. Service is ok, floors are dirty but overall it is a OK, you get for what you get. So sad I was so hungry 🥲 and couldn’t eat anything on my plate

December 1st 2024, based on the reviews the quality of the food had was quite underwhelming. The fried rice was pretty stale and general tso chicken didn’t really taste like chicken. My biggest complaint is the beef teriyaki that was placed in my platter with the hot food. The beef teriyaki wasn’t fresh and it was also like warm compared to the other food that was in the platter. They also decide to put rice in the back of the platter, I don’t know why that was necessary. I was hungry and was not satisfied with my order but tolerated the best I could.

I have tried to eat here a few times in the last two years and have regretted every time. Recently I ordered a spicy tuna roll. Instead of the finely chopped tuna with spicy mayo mixed in, I got chunks of tuna that was more inductive of the prep for their poke bowls with mayo caked on the top of the roll. All I could taste was the sriracha mayo. Food is not terrible, but really just never a joy to eat.

I love this place. It’s small so call ahead if you can. The Tom Kha Gai soup is an absolute must!! Everything is excellent. Let them know your spice level when you order. Sorry no pics, I just got take out this trip.

I'm leaving 2 stars because my girl liked the food, but 3 are gone because the guy that could have served us was very off putting and unprofessional. We came in dine around 1:05pm, and when we sat down after grabbing two menus, the man said he doesn't serve people after two. He just had a nasty attitude about it, like how dare we sit down for lunch before 2. I understand you close for your own lunch or to prepare for dinner service, but my girlfriend and I came in with enough time to spare for you to make us some food. Yes, she came in yesterday, and it was take out like you said, but you were nice yesterday, and today you had a stick propping you up if you know what I mean...so it makes no sense why you would embarrass us when not only did she bring you additional business but we were going to leave a fantastic review and tell our friends that live locally to come and try your food. You don't need our business, you had a full house. Instead of having a nicer delivery and telling us we can only do take out, you embarrassed us...when people were already seated. I wouldn't have normally spent the time on this but it was very unexpected to receive that treatment. We ended up going to Wendy's where we received much better service! I've been to probably 50 Thai restaurants in the last 3 or 4 years and I've always been treated with the utmost respect and never made to feel like I shouldn't be there. Maybe you should work on that or at least post a sign so people know what's up! "Only take out after 1" simple.

This was my first time visiting Tanma Ramen in Kingston, NY. Youko (a family friend of mine) is the business owner of this intriguing restaurant, and the miso ramen is by far my favorite along with a side of kimchi. Although I made a reservation ahead of time, I still forgive Youko for missing out on my reservation. Lesson learned: ALWAYS make a reservation beforehand. I like to give this place more than 10 out of 10. It's just what I highly recommend to anyone who would love to try some authentic Japanese ramen.

Absolutely incredible. I haven't been able to get my hands on ramen this good since visiting Japan in 2020. Well worth a visit! Wouldn't recommend if you are picky or have a lot of dietary restrictions but the menu does have a vegan ramen option. Very authentic ramen bar where you can watch your food being made while chatting with the incredibly friendly staff. Will absolutely be visiting again.

Ima stop goin here , food is so plain for it to be Chinese food , shrimp egg rolls have 1 small piece of shrimp inside it , they keep changing the French fries for some reason, chicken wings are so bland , rice is horrible , veggies inside the fried rice is super hard , and it’s way too much crck heads and drug dealers posted inside the store hanging around shooting there arms , don’t get me wrong. The woman that owns the place is super friendly. But the food is so horrible. Never again I’m done with this Chinese food place.

The restaurant is in a disadvantage area, but they still know how to keep thriving. The food is always hot and made fresh.

Drawn in by the enticing sign advertising soup dumplings for $6.95, I couldn't resist venturing inside to confirm the price with the server. Upon their confirmation, I eagerly ordered two portions and was delighted by the quality and value of these delectable little parcels. Each dumpling was generously filled with a flavorful broth and tender, fatty, well-seasoned pork. The flavors were well-balanced, and the textures were complementary, with the soft dumpling skin contrasting nicely with the savory filling. The dumplings were well-executed, with the ingredients tasting fresh and cooked just right. The portion size was also appropriate for the price, making it an excellent value. While the service was a bit brusque, it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal. The ambiance was casual and unassuming, providing a comfortable setting for a quick bite. There was no wait time, which was a plus. Overall, I would recommend this place for their delicious and affordable soup dumplings, despite the slightly curt service.

We had scallion pancakes and they were so good we ordered seconds. Extremely yummy dumplings! The atmosphere was good and cute decor. Service was very quick—they let us know how much time each thing would take which was very nice. Good vegetarian options as well.

Small diner with big atmosphere. The best barbeque place I have gone to locally. The brisket was flavorful without being overbearing. (No gallons of liquid smoke to ruin it. ) The mashed potatoes were actually garlic mashed potatoes. Perfectly textured creamy yet slightly lumpy topped with a thick beefy homemade gravy. The carrots were tender and cooked to the perfect zone of texture, sweetness and flavor. 4 meals and beverages plus tip equaled just under 98 dollars. Money well spent. The server was friendly helpful with suggestions and most importantly kept or glasses full.

Service was excellent. The food was AMAZING 💯!!! The diner needed TLC but that didn't change the reason I was there.. Keep doing what you're doing. Definitely recommend trying this place 9/10.

One of the best restaurants in the area, we went there twice so far and the food was really good. My son loves their chicken fried rice and my favorites so far are the chicken satay, pad basil eggplant with beef and the sweet & sour seafood mix. Their brown rice also has a really unique taste that was new to me.

Had a wonderful time with some family. Food was very tasty and you could taste the freshness in the vegetables. Waitress was very kind and friendly. 10/10 food would come back again.

We've been coming here for 20 years. Reliably delicious food. We always indulge in some spring roles to start (to be fair, other reviewers noted that the ends were hard, and two out the six were remarkably tougher than in past visits, and I would guess that that wouldn't translate well in a takeout situation). Spouse gets the seafood curry, always very tempting! kid gets the crab supreme, an expensive meal, but no imitation crab to be found in it. I always get the clay pot fish, a pan seared tilapia in a flavorful sauce. Two of three entrees are generous enough for leftovers. Sweet jasmine tea all around. Wait staff are typically men of few words, but fairly prompt and smiling. $85 for a hungry family of 3.

WHAT HAPPENED ? ! ? ! I've been coming for my favorite Spring Rolls for years and this experience has changed my mind about ever going back. I paid $15 for a full order to take out. I ate them as soon as I got home without having to reheat them. The ends were so HARD and CHEWY. That same night, I took back the order and showed the elder Asian lady the bits I could not chew but she was unimpressed and didn't want to try to understand what I was saying (as we did not speak each other's language). I told the waiter that even the sauce tasted different and not in a good way. Neither of them seemed to believe me so I didn't even bother to tell them that the fortune cookie tasted OLD and STALE. Later that night, my stomach was really NAUSEOUS for about 2.5 hours. I went back 2 days later for the replacement and the elder lady was so RUDE to me. When she saw me and I said hello, she looked down to resume what she was working on. Then she walked to the kitchen without acknowledging that I was there. The cook came out and told me he makes the rolls himself and that I should not reheat them in a microwave (which I never have). They only gave me HALF AN ORDER!!! I guess they assumed, since I ate some, they would not replace those. I'm not going back unless they get new management.

I used to love this place and even gave them a five-star review in the past. Unfortunately, it seems like all good things come to an end. On 12/27/24 at 6:00 PM, I picked up dinner, but my experience was far from what I expected. I ordered my usual Kung Pao Chicken with extra chicken—a dish I’ve had many times before. This time, however, the portion was shockingly small, more like a kid’s side meal than a proper dinner. Confused, I called the restaurant to give them an opportunity to address the issue. Instead of understanding my concern, I was told, “You can speak to the manager, but it’s not going to make a difference; those are our portion sizes.” As someone who values consistency, this was disappointing, especially since my previous experiences were excellent. If this is their new standard, I guess I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. To be fair, at the end of the call, they said, oh sorry we didn’t add the extra chicken.

Atmosphere is excellent. Very clean and serene. We loved the Thai butterflies. So tasty. The Pad Thai medium is pretty spice and yummy. The children’s chicken fried rice was perfect! My daughter is so picky and loved it. Very lovely shaded outdoor seating. Service was wonderful.

I am a regular and I am always impressed by the friendliness of Destiny and Ariza! They are always kind, sociable, and even memorized my order which is a small but extremely kind gesture. The food is great as well! I regularly get pinch fries, which I 100% recommend, and have also tried the Prawn bowl, the chicken curry, the Japanese curry, and two of their bahn mi sandwiches. Absolutely everything has been tasty and worth ordering. I would absolutely recommend coming here for the food, the atmosphere, the workers, and the cleanliness.

Food is super good! We went twice in one week. The bread for the Banh Mi was soooo soft and toasty. The fries were great perfectly done with a great amount of crab on top. The prices are super reasonable, staff was friendly, and I personally love the posters hanging up as well.

What a beautiful place of intention, values, and community. I had the pleasure of discovering this treasure today; meeting Chris, the fascinating entrepreneur, and learning more about this wonderful community resource. Everything about this place makes me feel like home. The food served here is just the tip of the iceberg. I look forward to getting involved, and personally working with this business in the near future ✨💞

This place is a hidden gem! The food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced, making it perfect for a great lunch. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is always clean and well-maintained. What I really appreciate is how they give back to the community—it’s great to support a business that genuinely cares. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
