China Wok
This Chinese Restaurant has been a staple here in the Fordham Road section for over 20 years. It's mostly for take-out but houses two shabby sit-down, dining booth tables and the place has not been renovated in well over 20yrs. It's basically what they call "a hole in a wall". There are newer owner's who have been managing the restaurant for over two years now. One of The Cook's has been working there since China Wok first opened it's doors. For me, the great tasting chicken wings have been one of China Woks' claim to fame and that has not changed with the new management. They've maintained the integrity of the establishment, continue to give the customers the same quality, service and continue to be consistent with their meals. Many of the customers, their families and nearby shopper's have been coming here for years and appear to be satisfied with their favorite orders.
The food is great but the attitude of the female worker is horrible. I just tried to order my food and when I told her what I wanted she tells me that she doesn’t understand and hangs up the phone on me. I called back and with a rude attitude she answered. I asked her what the problem was because I didn’t do anything to her. She says to me that she don’t understand what I was trying to order. The reason why she couldn’t understand me was because while she was so called taking my order another customer came in and instead of asking me to hold on she went right ahead and took his order. Like I said the food is delicious but with a bad attitude like hers I can go somewhere else!!
China City
Been going there for a while now and i order all the time from here ! Wait time for ordering isnt long and food always comes hot .
The food is not good, I ordered general taos chicken and it tasted mushy and very oily with no crunch to it. I was disappointed with the service when I ordered, so if you're looking to not waste money or time then don't go here. Also when you order they expect you to only have cash and they're too cheap to take any credit cards.
Yang's Good Taste
Very nice place to get food. They are open around 1pm mon-fri most definetly. They close on holidays but i dont know all the holidays they work on. The food is good. Edible and more on the enjoyable side.
I got sesame chicken with steamed broccoli and white rice. It really hit the spot and they made it well compared to other places nearby. Only paid $13 and I had leftovers.
Kee Wong
Still the Best Chinese Restaurant in The Bronx.... Been going here for 30yrs !
Twenty years later and Kee Wong is still the best Chinese food in the BX.
Great Wall
I had a pretty poor General Tso’s chicken. The chicken was soggy and tasteless with some sauce slapped on it. Definitely not crispy and tangy as the General should be The ratio of chicken to rice left a lot to be desired too. 🤷♂️
The best around this area as simple as that. Ordered a general TSOs chicken with white rice food was so fresh and tasty 😋 just ask them to make it extra crispy.
Peking
Food looks good but tastes old and no seasoning....lady was very polite.. took my shot. First n last time ordering.. pay attention to the one star reviews.
I ordered chicken fried rice from this restaurant. The quality is less than average; it's not good for the money that I paid. They have to improve the quality. Otherwise, they will lose business.
