Ming Garden
Went inside to order carry out. Ordered Crab Rangoon, Pot Stickers, Curry Chicken, Kung Pao Beef (lunch special), Hunan Chicken (lunch special), Small Hot Sour Soup and Small Wonton Soup. Meal for 3 came out to $45. Portions were perfect. Everything tasted good. Nothing was plain or over/under cooked. Pot stickers were big from what I’m used to. Lady who took our order was sweet and polite. Edit*Ask for light msg!
I had some chicken teriyaki tonight that tasted like burnt chicken jerky. Was very dry and flavorless, ended up giving to my dog. After that had no appetite to eat the rest of my meal.
King’s Kitchen
Love the food here! Ordered the beef with bitter melon, 3 roasted meat comb over rice (crispy roast pig, scallion chicken, roast pork), braised tofu with fish fillet over rice, wonton noodle soup, and minced beef congee with the fried dough. Everything was delicious and service was amazing! Highly recommend this place for a good affordable meal with friends and family!
My family and I absolutely love King’s Kitchen! We been a loyal customer for years. The food is always super delicious. Glad they’re expanding and adding this new location. It’s a very clean and friendly environment. Highly recommend l!
The Foliage
The food is good but the guys who takes the calls is one of the most rude people I have ever met in a restaurant. He is very disrespectful and treat to the clients very bad. Not sure if this is cultural but he should treat to the clients properly.
I was on the phone with one of the staff and he was extremely rude. He was shouting at me and not allowing me to speak. There was a mix up with the payment, and he was not having it. He was obnoxious and very rude. Customers should never be shouted at over an enquiry. We will never give them business. That man is unfit to be in the restaurant business and has absolutely no customer care skills. For your information, their branch in North Bergen are very respectful and the lady is a professional, that is where you should take your business.
Chinatown Kitchen
I’ve been coming here for YEARS. Since I live close by and always order the same thing chicken wings with pork fried rice. Never had a complaint they cook deliciously, seriously use to be my favorite spot. Recently though I’ve noticed they don’t use the same chicken wings. The ones they currently give out are extremely small I mean VERY. Seriously it has absolutely NO MEAT. Will not be coming back here again highly disappointed. Lost a loyal customer.
Best Chinese food EVER!! We've eaten Chinese in six countries and this was the best. Tons of vegan options. Crispy beautiful fried food, amazing flavors, nothing needed soy or hot sauce, the food was perfect as it came. The restaurant itself is tiny and not maintained well, so not a date location, but if you don't mind chatting with a friendly owner in a tiny restaurant or getting your order delivered, EAT HERE!! Best tofu we've ever had, best spring rolls EVER!! Delicious iced tea..... So so yummy! Will return for sure, this is our new favorite Chinese place ❤️❤️❤️
汶村圆仔炳五味鹅 Yuan Zai Bing
We bought a 5 spice goose that costs 130$. There was only one on display at 12:30, lunchtime. My father asked "are you sold out almost?" They replied , we make them after we sell them. Our experience, the goose was inedible. It was like eating leather. Was it an old goose they were selling? We'll never go back again. You may have gotten our 130$ one time but you'll never get a second chance. Places like this usually don't last too long.
They are not honest when they weigh the food (goose , duck, pork , etc), they purposely hide the reading of the price and total cost from customers and usually charge a higher price than the actual costs indicated on the scale reader. They allow customers smoke in the store, and the waiters/waitresses are rude and speak in loud voices all the time. Basically there is no service and they still ask for bigger tips. The place is small and packed and they are not welcoming at all.
Dun Huang Beef Noodles
The food came out so fast for a place that was packed and busy. It was my first time here and sure won’t be my last. I had the beef sirloin soup, the side noodles, the beef and lamb sticks and a lamb bun. We also had the spicy chicken app. It was so so yummy and I love every moment of it. This spot hits especially when it’s winter. It’s also affordable too.
Good noodle shop with reasonable prices, I usually get number 4, the braised beef sirloin noodle. The eggplant side dish is fantastic here, lightly fried and doused with some soy sauce. If you try one side here, get that.
Hong Kong Dim Sum
Had three types of rice noodles. Pork is the best option, would not recommend the shrimp or beef.
They don’t have a huge menu - seems to be just rice noodles and congee. I had one pork and one shrimp noodle - honestly too much! I took a full noodle’s worth home. Perfectly done, salty soft and lots of meat, especially for the price! Not a lot of sitting room, but quick, cheap, and delicious.
Master Wonton
The food was very good, I got seasme chicken and dumplings it was good but the service was good at first but then a different person came in and was screaming at me and my friend
Good place to fast eat or order never mess up my orders and food comes pretty fast …
Harbor Bay
Food was good. Liked the mild flavors of the various seafood dishes. Recommend the scrambled eggs with clams. Big portions even from their $24 deal. Couldn't finish all the food with two people. Service was fast at around 8pm. Restaurant looked clean and well kept but smelled like people smoked indoors. I hope the owner starts enforcing their no smoking signs for health, safety, and property reasons.
Low-key and friendly. This new place is great food, lovely owners eager to see you enjoy yourselves. A little bright and super clean, big portions, great food, very reasonable prices. We didn't get sashimi but I saw it going out to a party and it looked amazing.
大四喜Mala Town
Tried Mala Town today for the first time and I enjoyed my experience! The restaurant is nicely decorated, clean, and the menus are extremely easy to read/understand. The prices are fair and the amount of food I got in my customized bowl was great. If you're craving hotpot, a custom noodle bowl can help that craving! We also got the pork soup dumplings. The skin is a bit thick but the pork and soup inside was flavorful and they did give the black vinegar and ginger to accompany it.
Words of caution: if you are not into spicy food like me, this is not a place for you. Guess what, my wife does and here we were with two of our kids in tow. Staff was very accommodating, and she gave our kids a plate of fried sweet potato balls on the house. BTW, did I mention my kids couldn’t stomach the hot and spicy food as well. Anyway, as good as a model husband that I was, I was there just for a little bite after work. 麻辣烫, which translates into “tongue-tingling, spicy pot” that was filled with skewers of meats, shrimps, tofu and veg was pretty good. The broth was appetizing. The Thai ice-tea was descent. Coconut pudding was sweet and decadent. Overall, my kids and I was enjoying hanging out with their mom, which was needless to say happy to be there the whole time.
