Aja Asian Cuisine
✨ DATE NIGHT PERFECTION ✨ This place is absolutely stunning! I've visited several times, and each experience has been fantastic. The food is both delicious and beautifully presented, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing with gorgeous décor. There's a spacious area in the back for larger groups, and the restrooms, located downstairs, are impeccably clean. Nestled along Route 206 in Montgomery and just five minutes from Princeton, this restaurant deserves way more attention. If you're seeking a beautifully designed setting with great food, perfect for those 25 and older, this is the spot. The prices are reasonable, and the drinks... oh my! 🤩 I plan to work my way through the entire drink menu (though not all in one sitting, of course 🤣). Host a gathering here, and you'll definitely impress your guests. Ideal for date nights, company events, or birthday celebrations with friends! 10/10
I want to start with the decor and architecture. The ambience here is insane, so comfortable and high class. I have no idea how the maintain the huge grounds and keep them perfect inside and out. The server we had said it was her first day, but she was great. The food was so fresh it was fantastic. Sake was well plated, along with appetizers and sushi. Some in our party got main entrees that were unique and delicious. The Wasabi mashed potatoes were a favorite at the table. Overall if you're in the Princeton area do not miss it, great sushi bar and main bar options if you're not looking for sit down. Also good veg/vegan options.
Ya Ya Noodles Chinese Restaurant
general tsos tofu and broccoli in garlic sauce. Both really good. Like the tofu texture. quick delivery. Chili oil is a plus on top. would order again. Pricier side though- spent almost 40 bucks on two things.
The food is delicious and the service is amazing. The people are very nice and friendly. The food is well made and prepared in an orderly time frame. I will definitely come here again! Also, the portions for the noodle soup is very generous. Plenty of toppings/veggies/meats in each bowl. 5/5.
New Hunan
Egg roll was good. The Hot and Sour was kinda bland. I did like the shrimp with lobster sauce. That was tasty.
NO MORE $7 CHINESE FOOD. good food. The owner was kind and helpful. The food are not cheap any more. Ordered 3 regular chinese food and came out $50. I remember never having to pay more than $7 for a dish.
Ho Ho Kitchen
This is pick up only - there’s no seating for dining in. Ho Ho was sold and bought again a couple of years ago, and it sure has changed for the better! The food is fresh, delicious and affordable! The service is attentive and efficient. I highly recommend Ho Ho for a good Chinese take out that won’t break the bank. Thank you Ho Ho🙏
Look, I can't debate with the comments on these reviews when it comes to Chinese American strip mall food. As a Chinese/Vietnamese immigrant family, we also don't really even get things like sesame chicken, pork fried rice, etc. I write this review for one reason only, should you want to try it. For probably a decade, we have called the restaurant for pick-up, and we ask for the following: "Can we can jumbo shrimp with soft tofu, no vegetables, brown sauce, extra spicy?". Once they hear this they SHOULD know what you are talking about (our family started this), as we have ordered this many times in the last decade. Oh, and the "extra spicy" is never much spiciness at all, so don't worry. It just adds flavor. If folks try it, let me know how it works out.
New China Thai
China Thai is one of the locations that we bounce between when wanting takeout, though recently it's kind of fallen out of favor for us. Sometimes it's pretty good while others it's rather 'eh'. The inconsistency is a big issue here. You never know what you'll get as of late and it's made it hard to come back. Some of their protein appears to be a higher quality now than it was a year ago, but the seasoning and cook is also inconsistent. Neither good nor bad on average, it's fine for some quick takeout if you have no real preference when it comes to the other competition in the area.
Great fried dumplings, better than 90% of most places, give you so many they just pack it and even keep the sauce container outside to fit more. Great food on top, the beef is always tender and sauces are very good, no tendons or nerves . Affordable prices and clean friendly family staff, I don’t understand the 1 star reviews maybe it’s a domino effect because this place is great I get from here all the time . Order to go because the inside dining basically nonexistent, other than that the quality of the food is best around so that’s really all I care about. Would love to see this family get past this weird issues with the 1 star and stay open, expand to other locations , people need to try their food instead of just reading reviews Edit: I only just placed my order I’ve been traveling the last 3 months , if they really have new owners I will update this post and let you know if it’s really gone down in quality it would be a shame if the whole family left and the cook too Update: still better than the place across from Weiss down the street , just plain better . If you want a conversation call a friend so don’t come here for that
Thai Kitchen
Update 12/16/24 Food is still great and so is service. You are never rushed, and can enjoy your dining experience. I'd recommend roti canai - fluffy flatbread with mildly spicy chicken dipping sauce. Food is presented in elegant manner. Food is great. You can customize the level of spiciness to your liking - from 1 to 5 (mildest to spiciest). The staff is friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Plenty of parking. Portions are of a good size - enough for one person. Lunch special is available so is takeout.
Thai Kitchen is an excellent restaurant - we're so glad it's right here in Chester. They offer a wide variety of traditional Thai food as well as daily specials. We've never really had a bad experience there with either the food or the service, and we've been there dozens of times. Highly recommend.
Halulu
Sushi was so delicious this evening. Went for my birthday dinner and as usual Halulu did not disappoint. We ordered so many different rolls and the fish was so fresh. My favorite place for all you can eat sushi!
Such good food and amazing value for money!! Definitely come to this place, all you can eat mon-sun $26 a head. No alcohol license so if you want to drink bring your own!
Candy's Pizza
My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Candy's Pizza for Montague, our 161st town. We made it to the "top" of Jersey, both geographically and geologically! Montague is the northern most town at the top of the map of the state. It also has the highest point in the state in High Point State Park. Most other states have a sign that says "Last Exit in State" before you cross the border. Jersey has a sign that says "Last PIZZA in Jersey" before you cross the border, and Candy's Pizza is that place. We enjoyed a plain pie. Definitely a good place to get your Jersey pizza fix before headed to the pizza-less territories north of the state. :)
I truly do not understand the hype and good reviews of this place. Its the nastiest and most disgusting pizzeria ive ever been to and ownership is no better. Left disappointed and will definitely never be back. Ill make sure to tell my friends and family because the owner acted and spoke as if he does not want any business.
Eat Tokyo
The food is very good, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is always extremely clean. The sushi chef always makes the rolls perfectly and consistently. He is great and puts care into what he does. It shows in the quality. The portions are also large, so the price is good. Our usual order is the tuna lovers, crunchy salmon, and four seasons roll. Support this family owned business and their staff.
The food is very fresh and good quality. We got the hibachi and a few rolls. The quality of the food is good. I can tell when food is bad quality, because I have a sensitive stomach. This place is clean, delicious, and fresh. The inside is also ambient and a great spot for dates. It really looks like a Japanese spot in soho New York. I highly recommend this spot for something a little different and good food. The bubble tea is also good. Usually I don’t like bubble tea from restaurants but here it was so good. 10/10
Wasabi Japanese Restaurant
An excellent place for sushi! Everything tasted very fresh, wait time wasn’t bad at all, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is spot on, just a great place to be, not too loud and the seating arrangement is perfect. I would highly recommend stopping in here if you’re looking for good sushi in the area, you will be glad you did! Try the Mango Tango roll, I was very surprised at how well it paired together, will definitely come back again just for this!
This was my husband and I’s first time here and we both talked about how this place is a 10/10! We are HUGE sushi lovers so we are very critical. And we like this place better than our go-to sushi place that’s closer to our home. We decided to branch out and this was our first choice and we will be coming back here more often now. The service was amazing, employees were friendly and welcoming, their tables and plates etc. we’re so clean. The sushi was FRESH AS EVER!!!! Don’t be fooled by any negative reviews, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you tried this place. Some ppl are miserable and unhappy that they need to bring other restaurants down, but disregard any negative reviews and focus on the good ones because I never review places but this was a must, because of how great it was. Thank you!
Bento Sushi
Honest Indian Restaurant
I've had a wonderful experience at Honest in Bridgewater! This place is a gem for anyone looking for authentic Indian food with an option for Jain dishes, which is such a rare and thoughtful touch. The food here is incredibly flavorful, fresh, and prepared with great attention to detail. The owner is genuinely nice and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. You can tell they care deeply about the quality of the food and the satisfaction of their customers. They also do catering, which is fantastic if you’re looking to add some delicious Indian flavor to your events. The food quality and variety are excellent, and it's clear they put a lot of effort into making each dish memorable. Highly recommend checking this place
Just had an amazing dinner here! Loved their dani puri. The flavor was on point and the sizes are really generous. Their garlic naan with tikka paneer is also super delicious. I loved being able to specify how spicy I want it, and they definitely had a kick! There are so many things I want to try on their menu so I will definitely be back.
