Asia Kitchen
Please Read: I just left from this place and I would LOVE to say that for our first time ordering from this place that it was an amazing experience and food - but sadly we did not even get to that point because of how RUDE the guy was that we saw when we walked in. My mother is disabled and wheelchair bound and we were going in to order for a family of 5 for take out. However my mother needed to use the bathroom very badly because she has incontinence issues due to her weight and disability. So I get her chair out and help her struggle into the store - fully prepared to order and have her use the bathroom while we waited for the food to be made. Instead, we are greeted by a young guy wearing airpods and using his phone instead of working. When we asked him if my disabled mother could use the bathroom, he informed us they were doing take out only. We tried to explain that we are surely going to order take out for us but explained that my mother is very ill and really needed to use the bathroom while we wait for the food (my mother's condition is VERY apparent just from looking at her and anyone with a brain can clearly see we wouldn't be lying about her condition). Instead, he doubles down and refuses us again and instead blames his boss for no exceptions for using the restroom - which apparently even applies for the sick and disabled. Needless to say we walked out (while the guy continued on his little phone and airpods) disappointed in both the guy's complete lack of empathy as well as the fact that we were really looking forward to ordering at a new place. My poor mother couldn't even make it back into the car and ended up peeing on herself in embarrassment outside - as well as Hurting herself trying to stand up from her wheelchair to pee so she wouldn't damage it (it's electrical). Safe for me to say to management or whoever reviews these that due to that one employee's complete lacking of a soul that you will NEVER get ANY business from me, my family, or Anyone I know from this area. And I hope that people read this review and Avoid your establishment At All Costs. And also, please consider more appropriate staff. Commonsense would be if you are going to be serving customers that you remove your phone and airpods while serving others rather than keeping them in and acting like we are intruding on your personal time when you should be working.
You can't dinner in, it's only take out. Yummy's would be a better choice. The Pad Thai is like a brick of glue.
Happy Garden Restaurant
39$ for 5 chicken wings , 6 half sticks of beef teriyaki and 6 dumplings. The beef is burnt, the chicken is burnt and way overcooked and so dry. I'm disappointed they served this take out to me like this . The most I've ever paid for this amount of Chinese food and I think it's the worst I've ever had. The dumplings were good at least. Bathroom was really gross too. Toilet paper everywhere . And the place has just opened.
Sayonara Happy Garden ! Being a former resident of this town, we often ordered take out from here. The food was tasty, the portions were good. Food quality and prices were also very good. However, our visit on 1/8/25 was a visit of moderate disappointment! Having stopped here for a dinner on our way home, my wife and I were looking forward to having the great meals we previously ordered, as take out, here many times before. Sad to say, but this turned out to be our last visit to Happy Gardens. I should have picked up on the lack of customer vehicles as we entered the parking lot. But it was of no real concern at that time. Then, the fact that bar seats were all occupied. And that no customers at the available dining tables. Also, no customer(s) waiting to pick up their takeout orders as in my past visits there. My dinner of Chicken/Broccoli and Fried Rice was lukewarm when delivered to our table. I had to personally return my plate to the staff at the cash register to have it reheated to the proper temperature. I also informed this person of my displeasure of how this meal was given to me. at such a low temperature. I also had to ask for salt/pepper/soy sauce as there were none on any of the tables surrounding us. Several minutes later. My meal was delivered hot as it should have been the first time. All seemed to be going well until I began getting to the bottom serving of food on my plate. I excused a couple of the pieces of chicken that had some fat on them, but as I ate more, I came across more fat on the remaining chicken. The broccoli floret tips were cooked and tasty. The stalks needed to be steamed/cooked more.
Main Moon
This food is over priced and low quality. Sad. We have options and Sussex just got to drive about 10 minutes more. Chicken as dry as a desert. Dry and hard. Sad. One star. Only thing worth getting is the wontons.
Today I was trying to call in an order for my 91 year old mother's birthday. I called and a message came on saying the call wouldn't go through, try again at a later time. I did this for an hour. Finally I drove up to the resturant only find a sign saying they were closed for Spring break. When did restaurants close for Spring break? I have been going to the Main moon for at least 25 years. It was always good, always consistent, and always open. In the last few years, I'm sorry to say the quality of the food has gone down and the prices have increased. And you never know when they close. This is the second time this has happened in the last two years. I can only hope they get their act together. They now have lost a 25 year customer.
Han Dynasty
Han Dynasty was good but not great. I went during the week and it was not crowded. The staff was very nice. However, service was a little slow - considering the number of customers there. I ordered a few things to try on the menu. My favorite was the Dan Dan noddles! Everything else was just okay in flavor/taste.
We’ve only been once but our experience was pretty good. Fast friendly server/service. I believe they are byob. Dumplings were very good. I particularly loved the lo mein noodles and scallion pancakes. The dry pot i ordered was delicious. The only thing is i ordered it too spicy. They go by spice levels. As someone who can generally eat spicy food a 5 was too hot for me. I’ll stick to 1-3 from now on. It also had a lot of chili flakes understandably since i ordered a 5 but too many chilis or flakes drives me crazy. It was no big deal just picked them out. My friend ordered the pumpkin pot and she enjoyed it. I would definitely check them out again.
Hong Kong restaurant
Family owned and operated with every morsel cooked to order. Hot, fresh, and delicious. Vegetables are perfectly tender-crisp. Chicken is moist and tender. So yummy! Very reasonably priced as well. The hot and sour soup is the best we've ever had.
My Mom and I tried them one day before grocery shopping and we were pleasantly surprised. The Beef and Broccoli was some of the best I've ever had. Now she and I make it a point to go there every time we go grocery shopping next door. Great food, friendly service and great price's for the amount of food you get. I recommend them to everyone I know that lives in or near Dawsonville.
No. 1 Chinese
Beautiful food. For my taste, the Szechuan Pork was overly sweet with excess sugar. I asked for it hot & spicy but it wasn't spicy. Lots of good veggies and excellent pork medallions. I ordered no rice. The seafood sauce was too sweet as well. I'll TRY next time to order with 1/4 of the sugar but I don't know if the sauces are pre-made each morning or if can be made to order. The cute girl and boy children help with prep work and she was helping take customer orders. See pics
Got the General Tso's chicken lunch special. This place has uniformly-sized juicy chicken bites in a sweeter sauce. The rice was made in a wok and scooped onto the plate, none of that dried out stuff. Great lunch portion and plenty of seating.
Po's Rice and Spice
We are a group of friends and two of us are here for the first time! Loved the food so much we forgot to take photos! It’s all gone. The servers are polite and very attentive. The food fresh and well seasoned. It is a cozy room with nice lighting and lots of pillows!
Well well well, I'm not from around, we came from the north to visit a couple of store on this town and when we see this place, we definitely make plans to take lunch here, upon our arrival, Morgan gave us a really warm welcome, the place has this smooth mood that feels like home, we sit in a small table and the menu was pretty good, we started with the spicy dumplings, the sauce is just amazing, we took it to go in a container, lol, I went with the traditional drunken noodles and also amazing, finally Morgan recommend the home made bottle cake with ice cream, place is just amazing, I truly recommend this place for visiting and eat!
New Great Wall
Authentic, Amazing and delicious fresh prepared meals. The vegetable with extra ginger soup is truly yummy and delicious. Price reasonable. Fast and friendly service. Large portion and very accommodating. Strongly recommend this place if you like GOOD chinese food. Thank you. FIVE stars all the way.
Finally opened dine in! Service was great atmosphere clean as always! Food was out of this world as usual. Will most definitely be back ‼️
Charlie Chan's Restaurant
Great value, quick service. Idk how they move so much food at such a rate. We travel 4 cities away , but so worth the drive everytime .
Ordered through GrubHub. Food was good except when I ordered 8 piece fried wontons, I expected wontons with filling. I just got a container full of wontons wrappers that were fried.
Ginjo Restaurant
The Sushi is the best I have had ! I have had all over the world! I always try something different and I always love it 😀😀😀😀😀
Delicious food, there is usually no wait and the service is excellent. He brought up our appetizer very fast being pork dumplings which were excellent and can’t go wrong with a lychee Martini. I recommend this place 10/10.
Lucky's
I’ve been coming to Lucky’s Chinese Food for a while now, and it never disappoints. The portions are super generous for the price, and the food always hits the spot hot, fresh, and flavorful. The chow mein and fried rice is fire too, always cooked just right and not overly greasy like some other spots. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff is always friendly, fast, and welcoming. Even when they’re busy, they move quickly and stay polite. You can tell they care about keeping customers happy.
This is the go-to spot for amazing Chinese food! Their chow mein is absolutely my favorite—it has a unique flavor that sets it apart from other places I've tried. The food here is consistently excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly, always providing fast, outstanding service. Highly recommend
Jade Garden
We ordered takeout and it's the best Chinese Food we've had in years! Fresh, hot (temp), and tasty!! Rice, lobster sauce, egg foo young, and fried shrimp all delicious! I live 3 miles away and never knew. This place will be our go-to! Yum!
The food here is always excellent… I don’t know how they do it or where they get it, however, it takes no time for them to quickly whip it up and have it ready. Dumplings, Chicken Lo-Mein, Beef Skewers… every time are perfect. Thanks Jade Garden. Definitely recommend. Have never eaten inside the location, however, the take out is always great.
