Lao Hu Tong
Everything here was delicious! I got sesame noodles and the surf and turf dumplings. The sesame sauce was creamy, nutty, and complex. The dumplings had shrimp, pork, and chive and they were some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had! You could tell that they even made the dumpling wrappers from scratch. I liked the decorations and ambiance and the waitress was very nice.
Came here for the first time on a rainy Saturday and this hit the hot noodle soup craving! Get the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup Combo and I added some more spice to it. Very good and great quality. We got HuTong Soup Dumplings which were very tasty. They had directions to help show out to eat soup dumplings for those who don’t. I came back again the next day and ordered the Crab Meat Soup Dumplings which I loved and also my boyfriend who usually doesn’t like seafood enjoyed it. I highly recommend for authentic food :)
Little Wall Restaurant
The food is always high quality. Not too greasy. The menu has unique dishes you can’t get anywhere else in the area and lots of vegetarian options. They estimate times well from my experience and pickup is smooth given the entire front of house is one person. Not much seating so plan to pick up. Support local and buy here.
I recently visited Little Wall, a small, family-run restaurant offering Chinese and Hong Kong-style cuisine, and I was absolutely charmed. The cozy and homely atmosphere made me feel like I was dining in someone’s welcoming kitchen rather than a restaurant. It’s clear that this is a labor of love for the owners, who not only manage the place but also serve the food. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and impressively fast. Each dish arrived piping hot, straight from the kitchen. Highlights of the meal included perfectly crisp scallion pancakes, flavorful egg rolls, and a comforting bowl of beef noodle soup, which was rich and satisfying. Little Wall is an ideal spot for an intimate date or a quick, casual lunch. While the seating is limited, which might be tricky for larger groups, their takeout option is a fantastic alternative. I would highly recommend Little Wall to anyone looking for delicious, authentic food and a warm dining experience. It’s truly a hidden gem worth discovering.
Oriental Taste
I got 3 items that I've loved at every Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I liked none of them. Egg rolls, for the first time in my life, were the size of spring rolls. Almost no vegetables but did have mushy pork. Crab Rangoon filling was so runny (not just when hot) it flowed out. General Tsao Chicken was over breaded, and the chicken was over done and chewy. Will never go back. Waitress never smiled. Odd.
Ordered veggie dumplings steamed( she gave us pork and shrimp) then we ordered leek and shrimp I believe dumplings steamed(came out veggie dumplings) My date had Gemini shrimp rolls, she liked it. I ordered a chicken eith chili pepper and white rice. Took about 25 minutes to come out and the place had 3 couples. As we were leaving they brought out my food... overall was disappointed in the service. Food quality was decent. The atmosphere was alright. Wouldn't go back a second time
Panda Garden
Panda Garden is a fine Chinese place and it's always clean. We've tried this place about 5 times, and there are simply better options nearby. Their mei fun is always too dry and a bit like a noodle brick in the container, and their other dishes aren't as flavorful as we prefer. We only come here now when our place is closed on Mondays and it's always good, just could be better.
The best Asian food around the town, and the service is really good. Very friendly ppl and the best handmade mustard sauce ever, unbelievably good. MUST TRY! Decent price!
Main Moon
The sweet and sour chicken was unevenly cooked. I bit into one and found a small rock hard black piece. My boyfriend checked other pieces and there weren't any other black pieces in anything so it wasn't seasoning. The food itself was bland tasting as though it had been pre-made, froze then microwaved. Not one item had flavor including the pork fried rice. The meat was also chewy including the general tsos chicken we ordered. They don't hold a candle to the main moon in glens falls. Very disappointing! I thought maybe the same family owned it because of the name, but no! The main moon in glens falls is much much better and actually edible! I am not someone who wants to be critical, but I feel I would be doing a disservice to others if I didn't say something. We spent $45.00 for food that is on the verge of being harmful. The only thing I will say is that the plain lomein we ordered was okay and so were the vegetable egg rolls. Other than that no thank you. If you have a craving for Chinese do not go here. We only chose this one because the main moon in glens falls is closed on Wedensday. To top it off we didn't get Fortune cookies.I recommend cutting your losses and going to I love NY Pizza next door.
Orded steamed shrimp with Chinese vegetables. They delivered vegetables with no shrimp. Called to make let them know. The women who took the call refused to acknowledge the mistake and actually called me a liar. I wasn't asking for a refund or replacement. Just wanted to let them know a mistake had been made. She blew the conversation way out of proportion for no reason. Customer of many years, gone forever.
China Rose
Nice little place. Clean and friendly. Decent price ($12.99). Not much to choose from on the buffet. Missing the usual boneless ribs and bone in chicken wings. Randomly has cold potatoes wedges, and some walnut chicken that's just not for me. The Teriyaki chicken was really good, and so weren't there a little egg rolls. Very limited dessert section and no ice cream (hard or soft). Overall not a bad little place for lunch but I wouldn't go out of my way to drive there.
Best buffet in mid coast Maine! Family who run it are super friendly and polite. Food flavor is a notch above what one would expect at a buffet. Walnut shrimp, chicken egg rolls, and sauteed mushrooms are my favorite!
Maxi’s Noodle 2
Stop by for some wonton noodle soup, and it was pretty good! We ordered the trifecta (three toppings) wonton/dumplings with noodles, and wonton with beef stew noodles both were great HK style flavor! Glad they expanded towards LIE vs the original place in the heart of flushing. We’ll be back again for sure.
As a person with FJ stomach, will no order fish skin and fish ball next time. Wonton and Dumpling are amazing big and tasty. Overall food is decent. Free tea and hot water are plus!!!
Kung Fu Xiao Long Bao
tiny spot in flushing but the dim sum is popping!! everything was so good, i don’t think you can go wrong here. only downside is that it’s cash only. i was teaching a friend how to use chopsticks here and an elderly chinese lady at the table next to us said that i held chopsticks correctly & that i was doing a good job teaching my friend 😭 it was the sweetest and perhaps most validating thing ever
This is definitely good quality soup dumplings. The quality of the skin is thick and the soup will not come out. The was decent. The portion of size was not very huge. It's good for one person. The food was little oily and salty, no need to add additional sauce. Prepare to drink a lot water. The staff is friendly! The black truffle was one of my favorite soup dumpling!
Great Wall
Writing this to genuinely be constructive and informational. And I’ll preface, it was NYE so we expected it to be busy. Time estimate for food to be ready was off by about an hour. Space was completely full with people waiting for their pickup past when it stated it would be ready. System needs to be more reliable. Everyone had to literally shout to get any attention to tell the staff their order number as they were all in the kitchen. Being busy like that is very stressful but addressing patrons is important. Nobody in kitchen wearing gloves and I could even see one cook’s drawers and behind hanging out of pants. Overall restaurant very dirty. Food was very salty and low quality. Chicken was almost all dark meat and the ratio of batter to meat was not good. Mostly all food came out of a deep freezer located in the lobby of restaurant. So disappointed as this place came highly recommended but we will definitely not be back.
Solid food. Standard stripmall atmosphere
Seven Fish Cuisine 酸小七 酸汤鱼
The food definitely puts this restaurant in my Top 5. The spicy dry pot with fish has a lot of flavor and is very filling. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The space is bright and inviting. They even have free rice and noodle refills!
You should come to taste it . The owner really put the heart on it and make it good . Not like downtown flushing messy or lots of Keji Yu hen huo. It is nice clean and tasty . Will bring friend to try other dishes too !
China Taste
Well , after driving 7hours wanted some good food I don’t really wanted Chinese food but I made big mistake going to this place food and service is terrible terrible food has a lot sure and quality is terrible No good at wasted my money and time! Stay away from this restaurant!!
Called for take out, person on the phone was very abrupt, almoat rude. Food was overcooked, tasted abnormal and didn't come with any soy sauce or duck sauce that normally comes with the meal. The taste was so weird I couldn't finish the meal.
Lucky Corner
everything was greatly wrapped and all, but the food.... I ordered a shrimp and Lobster Sauce and some other stuff, but this lobster sauce was expired. From smell to taste. LIKE. EVERYTHING tasted sour and expired. gave a terrible stomach ache after, felt a bit like food poisoning. You guys have got to check the food quality first before sending it out, come on guys. I'm glad we don't die anymore from diarrhea.
We had food for take out and brought it home. It was delicious! Crab rangoons are just like the ones I have been searching for that o had when I was a kid. Creamy and light crab, crispy and perfectly well done. This was our 1st time trying this place and we will definitely order again.
