Beijing Bowl
Came in for dinner and was greeted by the nicest most helpful lady ever. I told her I had food allergies and she made sure to ask the cook about all the ingredients to make sure I was okay. She even kept offering me samples to make sure I enjoyed what I ordered. This woman made my day, so sweet and such a great attitude which I find rare these days. Not to mention she packed that food box all she could and at a very reasonable price. Happy I came in as I hadn’t came here since I was a kid. Not sure if she is always working but non the less she is appreciated. Glad to have this place in the community, food was delicious
This is one of my favorite American Chinese food spot in the east bay. You will know why this place is popular when the server does everything she can to stuff more food in your container. My wife was murmering "I think that's enough" as the server was packing all the meat and she rarely ever says that. Overall, great bang for your money here. Plus they have shrimp with lobster sauce that's not in the menu. I come from east coast and it was my bread and butter dish but it seems hard to find in west coast. So seeing a place serve it was a deal breaker for me. Here's the latest menu for you guys to check out what they serve and pricing before you head out here.
Jasmine Chinese Food To Go
I saw the reviews too late. Chicken chow mein with no chicken, and it looks pale Af. Fried rice has no fried rice, basically looks pale as well. With no veggies no nothing. I thought it was brown rice or something but its supposed to be fried rice. Maybe the cook was having a bad day because i dont remember it being like this.
I'm buy noodles and beef orange chicken and pork sweet &sour alfor 13 is big plate is my first time and the food is really good
Jin Ye Restaurant
I get my lunch takeaways from here. Had a craving for eggplant in garlic sauce. Note: their lunch specials include soup and salad only if you EAT IN. I got an egg roll with my special, so I was happy. Food was hot and yummy, enough left for a light bite at dinner.
Wow this good was so good and reasonably priced! We were just passing through and needed some dinner, found this gem of a location. Wish we had good food like this where we live.
Hong Kong House
My first time coming here and I will be back!! Called a hour before closing food tasted really fresh. I tried the Chicken St. Paul and WOW!!! That’s a beautiful sandwich really, it was so good. I loved the pork egg rolls as well as the Crab Rangoon. The rice is good without adding soy sauce or sweet and sour which I love. Great place to give a try.
The food was okay. Everything lacked flavor and was over cooked. We had chicken fried rice, general tzo’s, wong tong’s, chow main.
No. 1 Kitchen West end!
The food is pretty good. Nice size portions. The ratio of entree to rice is good. It's not 75% rice like some other places I've had. The Honey Chicken was very good. The beef and broccoli was also very good. The egg rolls are pretty good, but on the smaller side. The Crab Rangoons tasted only of cream cheese. I really didn't taste any crab, and I don't care for cream cheese, so these were not a hit. The inside of the building doesn't look the nicest, but we just do pick up, and it's fine. Overall, we really like this place and is our go-to for local Chinese takeout.
This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant, mainly the food is always fresh and never has that slimy feel that Chinese food often gets when it's been sitting out a little longer than it should. I only have one complaint: WHYOHWHYOHWHY do they have to be closed on Tuesdays, when I have an insatiable craving for sesame chicken and fried rice?!?!?! I'm so sad, and so HUNGRY!!!! I would go to the other location on route 60, but I don't think they deliver to where I live, and even though I love 'em, I lack transportation and that would be a pretty long wok (see what I did there?) for me.
New Dragon City
I'm 52 years old and from Brooklyn. This is the best hood takeout I ever had.
Taste good while being affordable. Good spot
Anthony's Steak & Seafood
Everything was delicious. They offer warm bread prior to serving your meal which is to die for. I ordered the gumbo as an appetizer.that was loaded with shrimp and had an excellent flavor. I will definitely order it again. My main meal was the Catfish .Pontchartrain, it was delicious as well. The sauce that is served with it compliments the fish perfectly. The portions of food are quite large and could easily be split. Service and atmosphere were great. It was a pleasure having such a welcoming experience here. And if you like Key Lime pie, you won’t get any better than the Key Lime pie that is served here. It’s home made and the best I have ever eaten! It isn’t a new restaurant in our area but it has become our new favorite restaurant to go to when we want a delicious meal!
Just an overall wonderful place with an all you can eat style meal service. Got the fried chicken and ship and it did not disappoint. Read another review about the biscuits and jam and this place definitely knows how to do it right. Highly recommended.
Grand Palace Restaurant
We attended a friend’s wedding at Grand Palace and were pleased with the service, which was friendly and attentive. However, the food was disappointing. The sashimi was not fresh, and the overall presentation of the dishes was lacking — it didn’t meet the standard we expected from other similar venues. Additionally, the candy and snack bar had mold on some of the items, including the peanuts. Thankfully, we noticed it in time and prevented our kids from eating any. While the service was commendable, the food quality and cleanliness issues were concerning and not what we anticipated for such an important event. We hope they take these concerns seriously and improve moving forward.
I'd say this place is very authentic and entertaining. The food is genuinely authentic. As a picky Asian who can't cook and always eats out, I'd give this place an 8/10. So, why did I give it 5 stars? It's because I saw the fish in the tank and talked to it. Surprisingly, it seemed to understand my problems so well that it had its jaw dropped. Hahaha, I will come back to this place soon.
Great Wall Restaurant
I got food from there 2 days ago and ordered in advance over the phone about 10 mins. Before I came food was very hot, okay cool. I open it I can automatically tell the food is recooked and old sesame chicken was super dark. Im hungry so I take a bite and it’s super chewy and mushy since it has been recooked. I literally threw it away. And with the little bit I did eat my stomach was hurting. Customers can tell when you give us old food !!! Stop doing that!! Luckily enough for this restaurant I do not live close by.
Pork fried rice, missing vegetables & very very little pork. About 4 pieces. Very little rice. They also served the general tsos chicken soggy, seems like recooked. & the majority of my plate was general tsos chicken and very little rice. Seems like they were trying to dump the food they did have to recook. The chicken lo mein was very good. The egg roll is okay, but it’s not what I’m used to. There’s these fat pieces of what I think are chicken? Inside it. It was a bit watery/oily Definitely not what I was expecting but it wasn’t bad. If you want to try good Chinese food, goto golden dragon in west haven. You won’t be disappointed.
Furama Restaurant
the restaurant is very pretty and the works are super friendly despite a slight language barrier. They bring dimsum out in carts for you or you can request by item. All the food was hot and also tasty! I would definitely come back to share dimsum with family or friends.
Furama Restaurant is a total win for delicious Chinese food! The crispy salt and pepper squid? A game-changer. The beef and noodles? So flavorful, you won’t want to share. The hot and sour soup hits with the perfect kick, and the Peking duck is crispy perfection. Oh, and those shrimp dumplings? Pure yum. Big portions, great vibes, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere—definitely a spot you need to hit up!
New Kitchen
This has got to be the worst order of Singapore chow mei fun I’ve ever had. Its just warm rice noodles, there is no spice, no curry, barely any veggies and meat. I read another review where it was said there’s no shrimp in the shrimp fried rice, maybe 2 pieces. My mei fun had 1 piece of shrimp, if I hadn’t asked for an egg, there would’ve been no protein. In addition, I ordered sweet and sour chicken, the chicken was 90% batter and the container for the sauce was 1/3 filled. I’m offended because it seems as though they don’t have enough or don’t want to use the expected ingredients for their dishes but are open for business. Don’t give them your business, you will be disappointed.
Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering from this place again because I found a long black hair in my shrimp w/lobster sauce and I DO NOT have black hair. I called to inform the employee over the phone of this inconvenience and they explained to me that they would refund me my money & send a driver to “pick up” the contaminated food. Hours pass and still not a call and no driver. $30 of my hard earned money down the drain and hairy food is what I get. If you’re going to work with food, WEAR A HAIRNET. Thanks for nothing.
China Taste
A cute little quaint place with FANTASTIC food! Only has 3 tables, one of which we sat and ate at. We had chicken fingers, rangoons, bone in spareribs and pork friend rice, all of which were delicious! Highly recommend!
I was looking for somewhere for lunch as I work in the area and wanted something different. I’d never heard of China Taste but am so glad I stopped here! Frankly I think most Chinese food restaurants in the Portland/Gorham area are just okay, but this lunch was AWESOME. I got the lunch special with General Tso’s, crab Rangoon and pork fried rice with a soda, and holy COW. Everything was fresh, good portion sizes, and delicious. Probably some of the best Chinese food I’ve had and it looked beautiful — I literally HAD to take a photo haha. If you’re in the area for lunch, get your takeout here! I’m excited to do takeout for my family for dinner some night.
