After seeing other reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience. I’ve visited this place multiple times since June and never knew the previous owner. In my opinion, I believe half of the negative reviews might be fake. Some seem to miss the old owner dearly, specifically for the way he prepared food over the past 30 years. Anything different isn’t satisfactory for them. During my recent visit last week, I ordered several dishes: the shrimp wontons were outstanding, a definite 10/10. The sweet and sour pork and the fish with mixed vegetables both rated a solid 9/10. The fried calamari and shrimp toast were good too, scoring 8/10 each. My family and I visited around 3 pm, and the food arrived promptly. I noticed some complaints about excessive oil on the food, but I didn’t experience that issue as you can see in my photos. Everything was delicious. We definitely plan to visit again.

It’s a shame, I really liked this place but I don’t think I could eat here again. My girlfriend found a hair and some sort of fly in her food. We both lost our appetite to say the least. Luckily the hostess at the front desk was super nice and apologetic about it and gave us a refund for the meal. Hopefully there’s some better quality control for other peoples meals.

Huge portions! Rec: Mei fun, spring rolls, teriyaki chicken Fast, fresh, consistent.

This place is a rip off. I paid 39 and change for pork lo mein, fried rice, general tso chicken, a scallion pancake (which was more reminiscent of a greasy wafer), 2 cans of soda, and 75¢ for a tiny bag of prepackaged crispy wontons. Everything was extremely overcooked. The pancake, the chicken, and the noodles. They are utilizing the cheapest ingredients money can buy and charging top dollar. This is not healthy or good food and will not nurture your soul. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! The General Tso’s chicken was perfectly crispy, coated in a thick, flavorful sauce with just the right amount of spice. The aroma alone had me excited before I even opened the container. Huge thanks to King Wong! Fair prices, incredible staff—the owner was super friendly, and we had a great conversation. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Can't say enough about King Wong. The freshest ingredients and the tastiest Chinese around. Their spare ribs are hands down the best in Jersey. The best ribs! They finish them off on a grill so they are kissed with fire before you get them! So delicious. Great steak on a stick, dumplings, everything is super fresh. If you're brave enough order the general TSO chicken and tell make it spicy. So delicious. Don't forget to get the house made duck sauce. Still my favorite Chinese in the area. Awesome service!

A little non assuming strip mall basic takeout place (although we sat at one of the 3 tables and ate). Fast service. Very fresh ingredients. Fried rice done right Smokey flavor as it should be. Boneless ribs were tender not chewy- flavorful. General chicken had good light crisp and sauced just right. Overall a very good Chinese place. Should be a sit down restaurant as it’s one of the better places we’ve found ! Definitely worthwhile to try takeout Recommend you stop in!

This is some of the best Chinese in South Jersey! The flavor of the sauce is so on point! I first had this about a year back and kept confusing it with the Mulan in Voorhees which I believe is a totally different Chinese restaurant. The portions are generous. It is a bit pricier than other Chinese restaurants but I don't mind paying the extra for the quality. The vegetable spring rolls are crunchy but not overly greasy and the vegetarian menu has a good variety of combinations. I appreciate them modifying the order for me and adding eggplant to my mixed vegetables. The tofu is crispy but not OVERLY dry and over cooked. I like that they don't overdue the sauce. It's just enough to coat the food and a little extra. They accidentally didn't remove the egg from the egg fried rice as I'd requested so I'd love to try that in the future as it did look good. The vegetable lo mein seemed to be missing sauce but I don't know if that was due to my modifications. It wasn't bad but probably wouldn't order that item again. Their food doesn't seem to set off my stomach like many other Chinese spots do. It was so good I offered it 2 days in a row! I'd recommend this Chinese place for sure!

Been coming here for years but I had a poor meal in Jan 25. Asked for pork egg rolls well done crispy. Instead I got spring rolls with no meat and a chewy wrap. The sweet and sour chicken was just sour. What a dissappointment! Not sure I'll be back. .

This was our first time ordering food from here. My husband, my son, and I thought the food was great. My husband really liked the sweet and sour chicken and the shrimp fried rice. We also really liked the egg rolls. The beef lo mein was the best I have ever had. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the beef was so tender and flavorful. We ordered online. When I walked in we were greeted by a very friendly smiling woman. We had a great experience and amazing food and we will definitely be going back.

Amazing food! Super cheap and fresh!! They were so nice to me on the phone!! Even gave me duck sauce in a little white basket. They even gave me free Chinese donuts !! The food was very delicious and filling. The fried rice was phenomenal. Best Chinese food I’ve ever had - and we are from New York. Please come here and support!! Lots of food for a cheap price.

Food was great! I ordered chicken lo mein combo platter and some crab rangoons and they were pretty good. They even gave me some free donuts which I thought was very nice considering my lunch was only $16.

Food was alright. Rangoons were kind of tough but not too bad. The chow mein is the version you get at some American Chinese restaurants where it’s a packet of deep fried noodles that you put a cabbage heavy mixture on top of. Not horrible but not what I was expecting. The price and quantity of food is very good, but I’d say the food was just alright.

Here in town for work and after seeing some of the other reviews had to try this. Let me tell you, this goes down as some of the best Chinese I have ever ordered. The taste was fresh, incredible and I did not want to stop eating. Highly recommend the sweet and sour, wings were fried to perfection, rice was incredible -texture and taste. Establishment was very clean, welcoming and very polite staff. Hardly any wait at all. Will definitely be going again without question. Pick this place if you are looking!

Their shrimp toast is absolutely delicious, but you have to tell them not to fry it hard. General tso is also a must try along with the fried wontons and crab rangoon. Did not like their soups as the broth is dark and bland. Overall they are great 👍🏽

November 30, 2024 Sad but true... I walked into Mr. Cheng's Chinese Restaurant to get an order of fries to eat on the way home to curb my appetite. Upon entering, the woman behind the counter took my order for a small fries. While waiting I asked about a dish the cook was whipping up, because it looked really appetizing. They were busy as you would be preparing orders coming in. I paid for my fries when they were done. The woman put them directly into the bag, and stapled the styrofoam try. I requested salt and pepper. She pointed to the condiments on the side table. I took a few ketchup. There was no salt or pepper. I told her there's no salt and pepper. She answered another order coming in. So I waited, very patiently, until she got off the phone. The cook came over, and I asked him for salt and pepper. As he started over to get it, the woman finished her call, which took about 3-4 minutes. She grabbed the tray from the cook to get the salt & pepper. I asked if I could sprinkle it on, not adding too much. She stated she'll do it'. 🤨She seemed to catch an attitude. She sprinkled 3 times the amount of salt and pepper needed."🏔️ I'm looking at her thinking OMG!"😲 She did it out of spite. 😠She immediately grabbed the stapler to reclose the tray. I said 'EXCUSE ME", can I see that before you close it?" She gave me a smug look😒 as she brought the tray to me. I opened it. I was shocked 🤢🤮how she ruined my order. She literally poured the pepper and salt onto my fries... The pepper painted the tray black. I turned to my right, to the man standing off to the side waiting to order. I opened the tray and showed him what she did to my order. His eyes widened,😳 and his face cringed,😵‍💫 we both couldn't believe what she had done, thinking I wasn't gonna see it until I would open it to eat, being long gone. WROONNGGGG!" I'm thinking, not to state it bluntly,' 'you So an So!" I told her that 'I'm not eating that!" No,no,no!" She then stated, 'its for both sides of the tray, top and bottom. Giving her a look that say, 'That's BS! I stated, 'are you kidding me"....She then grabbed another tray to put the ruined fries in, and said here". I told her 'I don't want that!" She said 'so what you want, your money back?" I said yes!" I took my funds she returned and left. It was so obvious after a minute or two, to see what the problem was. It was my black skin!" This whole situation was so uncalled for. 😐 Sad, but true. These are the days we now live in...

I think, in terms of take out Chinese, this is maybe the best choice in Mt. Holly. The ramen was really pretty good, for being take out. The noodles and bok choy were perfectly cooked. I do wish they'd have said/offered a choice of toppings. The 🍥narutomaki was something I didn't care for. A punch of fresh herbs would have sent this over the top. The dumplings are good. Clearly, handmade. I didn't care for the veggie one. But the steamed ones were very good. Again, hit it with some fresh cilantro, and I think it would have been great. The chicken teriyaki was a fair and generous portion that got devoured. Overall, it's pretty good. The standards were a little better than good, and the stuff we branched out on were so close to being very good that I'd go back. FRESH HERBS!

Food was good coconut shrimp definitely could of been better but everything else was spot on the freaking bag that they pack the food in to keep it warm is top tier the cute keychain had everyone fighting for it it’s super cute. The little details like napkins and silverware were given without even asking for it

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious and comes in a wide variety of dishes. The service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable.

This is our second visit to this restaurant and it was just as good as the first time. The orange chicken was cooked to perfection. Our server, Lisa, was exceptional! We’ll be back.

Nice place we reviewed on YouTube [ @YuccaWithChopsticks ] Some dishes impressed us, some did not. Overall good, and never add pineapple to your pork fried rice!

My favorite local Asian / sushi place can’t believe I’ve lived here for years and didn’t even know this place was around. I used to really like Jade’s Island, but this beats anything I’ve had from there. I especially love the General Tso’s it’s always a classic and while it does not have sesame seeds on top the chicken is so fresh and the sauce is so flavorful. Friend liked their pork dumplings. Also love the miso soup, can never go wrong there, and the Romantic Roll was another good pick :-) I plan on coming back soon and will try more sushi

The best Mongolian beef that I’ve ever tasted! I will be back. Edited to add: Because I’ll be in this area every week, we decided to make this our date night and try as many things on the menu that we can. 01/30/2024 I had the beef lo mein. My husband had chicken and broccoli. So fresh and tasty!!! We’re already excited to decide what we’re having next. 02/26/2024 Pepper steak and onions (insert chef’s kiss here). And the staff continues to be friendly and professional.
