asian fusion of glen rock
Hidden gem. This is the best and tastiest sushi place I have ever had. I drive from Wallington, NJ at least twice a month to enjoy this sushi. The quality is top notch. Fresh fish, soft, properly moist rice, and excellent presentation. I recommend this place to everyone. The staff that works there is very nice. They learn your name and always say “Hi Karolina / Hi Lukas” when we call. If you have not eaten here yet - you’re missing out. The reviews will never give this place justice.
This was our favorite sushi spot alas theres new owners and they have raised prices and cut the portions. New management also uses imitation crab meat on a sashmi plater. Previous owner did not so quality is down while prices came up ...see attached pictures guess ill be looking for a new local shishi place. Also including the recipt mind you I will gladly pay higher prices for quality ...this place however has a longvway to go and are overcharging while cutting corners. Look at the "shrimp roll" let me know if you see any shrimp. Honestly Shoprite does a better job 🙄
Tani Sushi & Asian Grill
We came on a Friday night without reservations. We didn't have to wait long for a table but it was a while before a waiter came to take our order. Once we spoke up, they were super attentive and took care of us and friendly accommodating. The wontons in peanut sauce was the best thing I ate that night. The sauce needs to be bottled and sold. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Everything we ordered that night was phenomenal.
I came here with my family. We received great service, quick and friendly. The food was great (Crispy Chicken General Tso and tempura rolls), and they had a wide variety of options to choose from on their menu. The establishment is clean and esthetically pleasing. Oh, and is BYB. I would definitely come back again.
Hanami Restaurant
Excellent food, just could have been a little hotter. First off it's a BYOB, so right off the bat your saving $100.+ off the total bill. Service was great, only complaint around the table was the food could have been a little hotter. Not sure if it was prepared and sat waiting for the server or it just wasn't brought up to the right temperature. All in all a great meal, an incredible value and yes, we will be eating here again.
We have been here several times and this restaurant never disappoints! The sushi is fresh and the entrees are fantastic. The service is fast and efficient, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring a great experience. Highly recommend!
Xing fang hibachi express
Friendly service and no minimum for card payment, great for a grab and go lunch.
Great food and lovely owner, one of our go to takeout spots.
Garden Kitchen
A pleasant Korean store for grab and go meal boxes, appetizers and snack groceries. Not really seeing sushi might have sold out but will come visit for more. Clean and authenticated good for explorations not a restaurant lol!
Mrs. Bae and her team at Garden kitchen are the absolute best around. My wife and I stop by the store every chance we get to pick up their delicious food to-go. Some of our favorites are their yubuchobap, spicy pork, braised beef short ribs, and all of their soups/stews. In fact, we enjoyed the food so much that we asked them to cater our wedding! Having grown up in Korea, I knew that I wanted Korean food that reminded me of home for my wedding, and boy did they deliver. Mrs. Bae drafted up a menu of Garden Kitchen is unique in that they not only have incredibly delicious food, but also a team of deeply caring staff. They took such great care of us and went above and beyond to make our wedding special. Highly recommend to anyone looking to cater an event or looking for authentic Korean food made with love.
So Good
My family and I are here my server was so kind and patient my younger brother had autism and was stimming along with making a mess, my server cleaned up after him and always left our table with a smile. The food was delicious everything was so filling I’m definitely coming back here. The only flaw I would say if some of the workers were laughing at my brother along with giving a look. Overall the experience was enjoyable I would recommend.
I came in to So Good specifically after seeing they offered Naengmyeon! It was very easy to park, and inside was very clean and spacious. They offered a delicious selection of bonchon for a single lunch-time entree, and everyone was very kind. Each table offers BBQ so I can’t wait to come back with my family to try more food!
MIGAM 미감
If I could give this hidden gem 10 stars.. I would! Each dish tasted so fresh and truly like my mom’s home made meals (without MSG)! Their location isn’t ideal.. easy to miss. But the town’s free parking lot is just adjacent to the restaurant.. another bonus!
If you are in the town of Tenafly and craving Korean food, this place is it. I may not make an effort to drive 20+ minutes and bypass Palisade Parks/Fort Lee to enjoy the Korean cuisine at Migam. But if I am in the area, then I may not drive 20+ minutes to Palisade Parks and Fort Lee for Korean food. Korean food can be very invasive to your stomach, especially if you are dining out. But Migam’s entrees resemble home cooked meals so you don’t feel bloated after the meal. And the owner/chef lady simply knows how to cook. All of her creations are savory delights. I love the seafood scallion pancake in particular. I will definitely make another visit when I am in the area of Tenafly.
NJ Tomo Chinese & Japanese Sushi Restaurant
Sunday night, I am out with my girlfriend and we come in around 8:30 and the sign on the door reads closing time is 11. The waitress coldly received us with a scowl and threw our menus down on the table and walked away. Short time after she came and got our order, but the entire time we are met with sighs and made to feel as if we were being rushed out the door. Midway through meal, my girlfriend and I are enjoying casual fun dinnertime conversation and the waitress is mocking my girlfriend within earshot making fun of her laugh. There was no one else around and so I know the exaggerated mocking laugh was a specific dig at her. At around 9:30ish we are told its going to be last call for food, and everything is closing up so we tried to grab the bill, the same waitress was dismissive, rude, and short. Eventually a colleague of hers came over and got us some to-go boxes and gave us a bill. And to one small credit, that same nasty waitress at least helped us pack up food. But this was a pretty dismal experience overall and painted this place in a poor light for me.
Best place to eat.
Truly Sichuan - 巴椒
Our dining experience was dreadful. Restaurant was full of dirty tables, under-staffed and food was served lukewarm. Seemed like it had been made hours ago. We were honestly all concerned abt getting food poisoning. Left after a few bites. Waiter seemed indifferent to the fact no one ate. Highly recommend you skip this one
I love eating spicy and this place hits just the right spot. It’s spicy enough to keep your mouth watery but not too spicy to numb your mouth. My favorite dish is the spicy live fish and the Tea Smoked duck. The portions are huge and the price is cheaper if not the same than the other restaurants around. They opened three weeks ago and this is already my third time. Definitely will continue coming back. I would recommend parking near the residential area because this area in Ridgewood gets really busy during the evenings on weekends.
Bamboo House
Great Chinese spot! My family and I would go often a few years back. You can sit inside, but there is only about one table. Mainly a take out spot and the food is absolutely delicious. The dumplings are some of the best and freshest you will get. I actually found out about this place via a review when I wanted a ginger chicken soup when I was sick. Highly recommend.
Best Chinese food. The dumplings are 10/10 along with every other dish that we’ve had!
Red Bowl - Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Asian Fusion Restaurant
I usually order from here and have been for several years but this time was quite shocking to say the least. My boyfriend and I ordered the same thing, a teriyaki steak lunch box (steak cooked medium for both). This was our first and unfortunately only meal of the day. We noticed about half way through some of the pieces of steak were clearly raw so we did not eat those pieces. The rice was hard in some places as if it had been left out for a long time, overall was not a great meal. Later that night we both got extremely sick throwing up and horribly upset stomachs, couldn’t keep anything down. It’s been about a full day from eating said meal and we both still feel very ill. After this experience I no longer feel comfortable ordering from here again, very disappointed.
We stopped here on a road trip and I'm so happy we did food was so good and the staff was so friendly. Definitely recommend
Asian Cuisine
Ordered online for takeout, was ready in just 12 minutes. The yellowtail scallion roll was fresh, though very small, not quite worth $6.95. The crab Rangoon delivered though. They were bigger than most others, hot, tasty and packed with filling. Well worth the $7.95.
I had vegetable chow main taste less
