Bamboo Garden
Ordered chow mein, it had no noodles, just stir fried veggies. I called and told them I got the wrong thing, they doubled down and said no, chow mein doesn't have noodles, and told me to google it. Mein literally means noodles.. I asked for a refund and she refused because "chow mein doesn't have noodle". What a joke 😂
Not many gluten free options, and prices are expensive. Not to mention I find it extremely inappropriate for a child that is 10 years old AT THE MOST! (And I am not exaggerating at all go in and check for yourself) to be running a cash register, asking if they can help you, and taking your order. If I had not already spent time trying to figure out what was gluten free, and that was extremely limited I probably would have left. I will never order from them again not just because of the child aspect, but on the phone the manager was extremely nice, but once getting there and talking with them the attitude changed. We paid way to much money almost $70 for over cooked pork strips that everyone basically had to douse in duck sauce so you didn't choke, and btw there is no complementary duck sauce at all you have to purchase any and all duck sauce. The house fried rice had more ham than anything I counted 4 shrimp in a large order with a scatter of small pieces of chicken. My husband's beef and broccoli was under cooked and I swear they didn't even saute the broccoli when I specifically asked for it to be extra soft due to him having dental issues. Waste of money will never ever order again. They are rude, and honestly I don't know how they stay open. Find some place else
Golden Tao
Great place to eat or order out at. Been eating here for 8 years. Love the food and service as you become a regular the staff gets to know you and are always welcoming. Food depends on what you eat, my wife would say they have the best scallion pancakes in NH. I eat their chicken lo mein and their sesame chicken. The sesame chicken is great good sweetness and perfect crunch. The lo mein is something left to be desired. I didn’t realize that they did shu mi and it was great, very traditional better than north garden.
Another amazing meal served up by amazing people. Thank you, Janet, you make us feel like family!
Oriental Wok Express
Found this unassuming restaurant / take out place on our ski trip. It’s hidden in the Mobile gas station, but is very clean and friendly. For a small take-out place, it carries a very ambitious menu, with several authentic Chinese dishes and a big sushi roll menu. All the food we ordered tasted great with good portion.
Don’t let the gas station location fool you. I just polished off probably the best chicken and broccoli I’ve ever ordered. I’ve been to China, and other Eastern countries, and I’m including those experiences. So delicious!
Hong Kong Taste
This place is currently takeout only. The food was delicious. My husband is allergic to shell fish so I informed the restaurant when I placed an order. They were super nice when I spoke to them! They packaged the shellfish items seperately and cooked them seperatrly too.
Disappointing. Food tasted really stale and old. Crab ragoons were not even edible. Do not recommend. Wanted to love the place because we live so close, just so let down.
Cheng Du Kitchen
Most of the food was great: egg rolls weren't over fried like most places, chicken fingers were huge thin battered thick cuts of delicious white meat, but the BBQ pork didn't hit the mark for me. Overall, a solid choice to snag some Chinese food if in the area.
Delivery was fast and quick. Crab Rangoon is too sweet and not enough crab. General Gaos chicken is overly sweet. Fried rice is skimpy on the add ins but does include decent sized pieces of meat.
Heng Won
The boneless spare ribs are top notch, they have the crispy burnt ends and a deep sweetness. The chicken wings are phenomenal, lightly charred. Good pork fried rice, they use the boneless spareribs in this as well, Dinner specials are fantastic, especially D7. The shrimp with lobster sauce is incredibly rich and chock full of hamburger and shrimp. Duck sauce is solid as well. Always piping hot and friendly staff. Never been disappointed here in my 10+ times picking up. Most ive dealt with is waiting 5-10 minutes longer than expected for my order as it was a Saturday night.
This is the best Chinese place I've ever tasted, and I've tasted a lot of Chinese over the years. These noodles are so delicious. And the rest of the food is good there too. I also like the service they are very nice. For a very small shop they do good easy to pick up food but the atmosphere is kind of small but either of the way it's great. That's why I read it five stars delicious best Chinese food I ever had in my life.
Aloha Restaurant
There's just better options available for you! When we walked in, it really felt like a time machine to 2005. While it's clean, it's dated and almost impossible to feel like you shouldn't try it. We had fantastic service, however, and it did seem like those dining were regulars. The food was bland, and we knew right away that it's a place to go if you're desperate and unwilling to drive 5 minutes to another spot. I'm sure there's some that swear by it, but ultimately, I won't go again.
Wifey wanted Chinese after a week of burgers and hotdogs at the baseball tournament. So said Aloha, I knew they had bbq ribs on the bone. Being a Sunday night it was very quiet. We started with a blue Hawaiian and a zombie both were up to par their pricing of adult beverages is comparable to the private clubs in the area our drinks were only $8.50 each. The ribs were top notch, the Peiking ravioli have a heavier crust than wifey likes, the egg rolls were great, the seafood lomein was tasty but the lobster was obviously frozen and a bit chewy but everything else about it was good but at $38 I expected better. We’ll be back we just won’t get the seafood lomein. Service was very good we sat in the bar because it was very slow the bartender was very good and everything was delivered hot and quickly. Thanks for reading my review, look forward to more in the future. Cheers.
China Garden
I've noticed consistently if you don't tip (why tip when they're not serving you and your already paying for the food and tax), your food is not as good and usually get one less crab rangoon LOL.
The best general gau and white rice I ever had. And I've had a lot of Chinese food. I've tried every one in the Windham. To Derry area. Also grew up in Boston and have traveled up and down the east coast and this place holds up very well.
Chens Restaurant
Absolutely my new favorite spot of flavor of their Chinese food is unmatched nothing is a mess about their food very good prices the wait staff is absolutely wonderful my 3-year-old is in love with the waitress there. Very quiet areas they also have a bar outdoor patio lots of parking open when no one else is of course
A long time dairy resident (38 years) and a very regular customer, ordering once a week on average. This past Monday, I ordered over $80 worth of food for my family. The food we received was most definitely cooked a long time ago. Probably leftovers from lunch. The general Gow chicken was mushy and soft, the fried chicken was cold and dry, pretty much everything seemed to be made hours earlier. Considering the amount of money that I spent on this food I expected better quality. I expected freshly cooked food.
Bonsai's Restaurant
Great food, and great experience when eating in. Avoid New Years eve though, had to wait one hour and half past my schedule pickup time just to find out my order was not even being made yet. I left and told them to cancel it!! Took my business somewhere else. Next year, taking my New Years take-out to another place. Some people waited 4 hours plus past what they were told for theirs, too.
Took out the family (2 adults 3 teens). Ordered Pork Fried Rice, Sesame chicken and pu pu for 3). Lots of leftovers. Sesame chicken very good and presented beautifully. Pu Pu was typical, nothing stood out but nothing bad. It was what was expected. Kids all enjoyed it. Atmosphere, crowded at door had to go in and out to let people by. We were put at a table in the corner surrounded by stacked tables and chairs: felt crowded. Not much decoration in dining room, couldn’t tell we were in a Chinese restaurant. Staff was okay. We were greeted but woman did not smile. Waitress was friendly and accommodating. Overall food was good so we will return.
Zheng Garden Beachside
We went here to get some pork fried rice. They only had one size and it is rather big. The Mrs. and I split it and it was very good, authentic Chinese food. There are a couple/few tables inside as well as outside. If you enjoy good Chinese food and are in the area, I recommend giving Zheng Garden Beachside a try!
Experienced Zheng Garden Beachside for the first time and was impressed by their scrumptious food and accommodating staff. We opted for the beef lo mein, crab rangoon, and a refreshing lemon drink! Their beef lo mein was undoubtedly fresh and flavorful. Plus, their beef was tender. The crab Rangoon was also mouthwatering - crispy and fresh. Definitely recommend paying them a visit if you ever find yourself in Hampton Beach!
Szechuan Taste
This review is for the Sunday buffet only and not ordering off the full menu, although I can’t imagine it being any different as far as a total lack of taste and flavor is concerned. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Limited offerings, some 13 trays. Hot and Sour soup was hot, but no heat nor use of vinegar. Spring roll was lame. Coral Shrimp & General Tso’s chicken were the winners. All the rest had no spice, herbs or flavorings. Ever hear of ginger, garlic, oyster sauce, Five spice? Staff were pleasant, good in removing empty plates and filling of food trays. Sadly, will never return. Darn it.
The food was ok about 6/10. Not really an authentic Schezuan restaurant. I read the reviews for coming there and it was 4.5 so it was very misleading when we got there I was expecting a bit more quality and more authenticity in terms of the dishes and all we got was sort of this blah Chinese food. The Dan Dan noodles had no Schezuan peppercorn and the green beans are supposed to be dry and they’re drenched in some sauce. So it’s not authentic Chinese at all. Not bad but not great.
