Eileen’s is a no frills soul food spot with very good and high quality food. I recommend if you are in the area. They also specialize in catering so keep them in mind for holidays and parties!

Food is delicious!! Kids had chicken wings and mac and cheese ..I had boneless beef ribs, mac and cheese and yams!! The cornbread is sooo good as well.

This place is so good. Food is fresh, portions are large, and they are very clean. The Pad Thai is surprisingly so good too. And the people (owners?) are also great. I always get the sesame chicken and pad Thai. The portions are also so huge that I’m shocked the prices are low. I love this place and they deserve all the stars!

New place in town located in the former I Love Subs location. In my opinion, Chinese Food is an acquired taste. You get used to what you normally eat. I was pleasantly surprised here. I like the fact I can see who is preparing the food and the cleanliness of the food area. In that regard, as far as take goes, this place is far ahead of others in the area. Prices seem to be more here, but will do a comparison. The added stars come from the double serving of Won Tons with your Lunch Order. Most places only give you 2 Won Tons, but here they give you 4 Home made Won Tons. This could be a new go to place. I will be back soon.

There was zero flavor. Chicken Lo Mein, chicken wings, crabsticks etc This place use to be👍🏽& they seem nice. Now I know why I haven't had Chinese food in 2yrs. I'm glad I didn't order too much BUT I hate wasting money. Sixty dollars to be exact! The soda had great a taste tho.

I normally love this restaurant & hate to make a bad review but today there was definitely something wrong with the food. I eat here all the time & the ladies at the register are always so nice. Today I ordered egg foo young & normally there food is good, but today it had zero taste &, for egg foo young, it tasted weird. Hours later I'm feeling extremely sick. It was the only thing I ate so I'm very disappointed the quality was subpar today.

Man, for years, I was told this was the pace to go for Chinese food in North country. Long story short: It's not. So, time for an honest review. This was our first time at the restaurant so everything you're seeing is how we felt bout it Partner and I stopped for dinner on 5-24 round 5. The restaurant itself was sparsely decorated and there wasn't a smell of... anything in the air. Concerning but whatever. It might be a sleeper. First: Appetizers I got the boneless spare ribs and egg rolls The spare ribs had no real flavor to them other than kind of off pork. They were super moist and tender though. They had great potential. The egg rolls were pretty decent. I'd like them to be a bit thicker than a traditional spring roll at the price point they were sold but yeah, solid Crab Rangoons they were okay, nothing special. Lots of imitation crab (not upset about it) but they were bland, no seasoning at all. They are edible but could be better. And for our main : Gen Gaos chicken / pork fried rice I'm sorry, this one was offensive. Both of us were so put off by the sauce used on the chicken (which were clearly store-bought chicken tenders) we couldn't eat it. (Franks red hot should not be in a Chinese food kitchen. Not sorry) The little bit of the rice that had not been contaminated by the sauce was really good. I'm actually really upset that I wasn't able to have more of that fried rice. Server was kind. I wish she was more patient in a answering questions. The correct answer to the question "what kind of beer do you have" is not "what kind do you want". What if I'd come out with something crazy like some imported that you didn't have. Rattle off your domestics and that's it. That's all you need to do. Oh cost. Pretty pricey for what you're getting. At the end of the day all I got to say about this place is that there are other places in the area.

Went for the first time in 20 years and the food was pretty good, the only thing I questioned was the teriyaki beef. They were quite light in color. The food was good when we got it. We found out the cook was 83 years old so for that I gave them 3 stars. ***Oh ya btw they charge a $1.92 convince fee for using the debit card..

Empire Garden

I adore this place. The food is of exemplary quality with good portion sizes, and everything is always packaged well for takeout. The fellow that takes orders is quite polite as well. They have some great tasting Chicken Fried Rice and General Tso's chicken, and their Chicken with Broccoli is some of the best I've ever had.

This is not your typical chianese food place , the food is really good , authentic, prices are higher then your local around the way spot, but it's worth every penny. Great food ,nice people and not loaded with brown sauce. Try it, trust me, I will never eat any chianese food anywhere else bit Empire garden 😋 😀 😜

Royal Tangra Masala

My experience at royal Tangra Masala was brilliant, I ordered the Mongolian chicken, pad Thai, as well as royal Tangra delight. The Tangra delight was very nice with flavors of basil, and signature coconut sauce. The pad Thai also was absolutely sumptuous. The hot and sour soup and manchow soups are pretty good with nice flavor of coriander. Atmosphere was pleasant, with good music playing in the background. Highly recommend.

I ordered the beef chow mien, ginger chicken, and chicken satay. Over all the food came very fast. The noodles were nice and chewy and the chicken was flavourful and tender serviceand atmosphere was good too. Also price is very reasonable so I recommend going 👌

After having takeout here for a while, I decided to sit down and get some soup dumplings after craving them. The service was prompt and courteous while the food was good, though limited in what we got. I plan on returning to taste the other dishes and offerings. The decor is alright and the tea cups are stained and worn, but clean and it is a cozy place. I will visit again to see what else the menu has to offer. The prices are relatively higher but the quality of the food is good enough to forgive the higher prices.

Personally, I always enjoy eating here with my partner’s family. The service is always top notch and the food is really tasty. I personally find their soup dumplings and Peking Duck to be phenomenal. But seriously, nearly every dish I’ve tasted here has been pretty good.

Went back a few more times to try out the lunch specials. Sauteed shrimp and chicken (good) and chicken with blackbean sauce (not so good - very light), hot and sour soup (not so good - pretty mild), and egg drop soup (ok - again, pretty mild). In the end, we'll keep coming for the general tso's chicken as well as their fried rice - both still terrific! We heard about this place from our son's friend who lives nearby. In these tough times, I figured it's nice to spread the love across the local family run places. We ordered our standard dishes: General Tso's chicken, mushu pork, steamed vegetables with chicken, eggroll, and because they offered free pork fried rice or soda, we picked the fried rice. General's chicken was a bit of a letdown. Normally, I expect the sauce to be kind of thick and the chicken, when freshly made, is still piping hot and crispy despite the sauce. But the sauce here was a little thin and the chicken was kind of mushy. The mushu pork was the unremarkably good kind accompanied by the thin wrapper and a small thing of hoisin sauce. Hard to get wrong and thankfully, they didn't. Similarly, the steamed veg and chicken was as expected. My son reported the eggroll as satisfyingly crunchy and tasty. The surprising winner was the free pork fried rice. It had that wok-hay flavor that you just can't replicate at home. It was full of small but meaty pork chunks (and not all gristly). I'm definitely going to try the house special fried rice next time. I hear the Sinagpore maifun is pretty good there. Looks like we'll be going back!

I’ve been coming here for weeks after work they have the best orange chicken and chicken and broccoli. The lady with her daughter give excellent service as will would definitely recommend getting food from here👍

Friendly local versions of Chinese food. Their Shrimp and lobster sauce is pretty good. Wonton soup could use some improvement as well as the soup noodles. It's hit and miss on the various items so need to find which you like. Reasonable prices and quick delivery.

New dishes added to the menu!!! There now serve hot noodle soup too! A hot soup in a cold winter day! Yummy !

Sweet Bamboo

The food is tasty. However, I didn't pick combo because I don't like my rice and protein in the same container but that is how it was served. The rice was a little too salty but tasty. I just wish the food wasn't all together in one container. I don't think I will order from here because of this.

The manager and staff goes the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied with their service. I moved to the area in 2023 and have started ordering Chinese food from Sweet Bamboo. The food from this place has been consistently great. Every time I walk into the restaurant, the staff always greets me with a smile. Tonight, I ordered general tso chicken, beef with broccoli, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice, and chicken wings over the phone but forgot to mention adding extra shrimp to my shrimp fried rice. Once the food was delivered, I called the restaurant to inform them that I’m a regular customer and the fried rice didn’t include extra shrimps. The manager was very polite and mentioned that they would make another fresh shrimp fried rice for free and deliver it to me, while he checked with his staff on the issue. Within a few minutes after my call, the manager called me back and mentioned that they actually use a call center to take call-in orders and that the company provided a voice recording of the order. I listened to the recording and was embarrassed that I never mentioned the extra shrimp, lol! Nonetheless, the manager apologize for the inconvenience and still delivered the new fried rice. After 10 minutes, the new order was delivered to me. The food was hot and fresh! This exceptional service was unexpected from a Chinese restaurant. All the past Chinese restaurants I’ve been to would probably just ignore or charge me extra for the new fried rice. Other than the service, some dishes that I highly recommend are the General Tso chicken, fried chicken wings, and chicken with mixed vegetables. Their canned soda is just $0.75, probably the lowest price you will ever see nowadays from a restaurant.

Fortune East

Ordered a few times from here for contractors who was helping me with some works. The first thing I noticed was their price is above what a typical Chinese-American restaurants in the City would charge. The contractors complained about food being below average. The lady tends to round the bill up even though I was paying using credit card sometimes which seems to be absurd - definitely not coming back again. I do not recommend this Chinese-American restaurant.

Was recommended this place by friends and felt reassured by the 4 star rating. The food quality was extremely poor. Ordered shrimp and chicken fried rice. Rice was stale and tasteless. Appeared to be days old rice, definitely not freshly made. Ordered chicken with broccoli as a safe choice. The chicken was rubbery and hard to chew- could not finish the meal. Only thing that was edible was the sesame chicken which was deep fried and breaded and coated in sauce- hard to mess up. Really difficult to find good quality Chinese food take away in East Queens- Long Island. Will not be ordering again- wondering who could give this place 4 stars.
