New Gold Mountain Restaurant
One of the best authentic chinese food you must try in Omaha. The Dimsum is great (you must try the Shu May/steamed shrimp & pork dumplings, Chicken Feet with black bean sauce and deep fried shrimp ball). The roast duck, wonton soup and the spicy mapo tofu are awesome too 🔥🔥🔥. Definitely will be back here again.
Nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Ordered crab rangoon (those were OK), spicy cucumber salad (very good!), BBQ pork buns, ma-po tofu and garlic vegetable with fried tofu. Would recommend giving it a try and would certainly return to try other dishes.
Hip Bao
My 2.5 year old LOVES Steam buns. We found this place online and had to try it. We can definitely say our little one enjoyed the buns! The service was amazing! We got our food fast, we got some phenomenal hot sour soup and they actually got us some milk for our daughter, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Try the custard bao, it’s a nice sweet pillow cloud treat! We will come back to try the noodle dishes!
The service was excellent. It was a treat going here the first time meeting the sweet hostess. My wife and I had some of the best rangoon we've ever had. Clean dining area with simple decor. We are trying different things as we visit each time. The hardest thing is limiting myself to one or two items! It hasn't happened yet. :-)
Rose Garden
This is a great place. It's very unpretentious. They're there to feed a community, which they do, and they do it well. Far from the only Chinese or Asian option within walking distance they are nonetheless my go to. They do a great job with classic/traditional dishes. My only ding is their fried rice - it's literally white rice they tossed in a wok, with nothing else. It just doesn't tick any boxes for me. Like I usually just order the steamed rice because of it.
Highly recommend this place! The service is always fast, and the staff is super friendly every time I visit. I ordered the crab rangoon, and it was absolutely perfect—light, crispy, and filled just right. I also tried the General Tso’s chicken with hot and sour soup, and both were so good! The portions are generous for the price, and I always have leftovers to enjoy later. The hot and sour soup had the perfect balance of sour with just a little kick of heat. This spot is definitely underrated, so don’t sleep on it—go check it out!
Noodles and Company
I am done with this location. The last time I was there, I got the penne rosa, and the mushrooms were just dumped on top, raw. I love mushrooms, but I would have liked them actually cooked with my food. The meal was cold throughout and not at all good, but it took so long to get that my options were either to eat it, or go back to work hungry. I gave it another try tonight, as my roommates wanted to give them another shot. This time, I ordered potstickers with my meal. They didn't bother to include the dipping sauce, so there was no flavor. It usually all comes in one container, so I don't understand how that was missed. It's painfully obvious that the staff at this location simply does not care.
Foods good. just small portions even at the “regular” size The flavor is great and they’re always coming out with New and interesting flavors. They now have a new zucchini noodle that you can try
China Garden
Ordered the orange chicken with white rice for lunch, along with a side order of 10 fried Dumplings. Holy potatoes- the food was hot, flavorful and the portions were huge! I ended up eating this for lunch 3 days in a row, which was awesome!
I purchased the triple delight meal. The chicken is not good. Seemed watery and just not appetizing. The beef is very good! The shrimp was good. The meal was the perfect amount for one person. I didn’t finish all of the rice and threw away all of the chicken and most of the mushrooms. The egg roll that came with the meal was delicious and we also ordered fried dumplings that were very good as well. The rice was alright so I think I may have to try their noodles and see if they are better. If I return I will have to be in the mood for broccoli beef because of the entire meal that was the best part.
Hy-Vee Chinese
They close at 8 but I get there an hour before and everything is off the line. The big guy with beard is great no shade on him he wasn’t there. But if you have specified hours stick to them.
Been here 3 or 4 times in a pinch because I work close and i have literally never purchased a meal i end up just walking out because food is always looking old and there's always 2-3 entrees that are empty n there will be nobody in sight making anymore employee shlop around in the food while serving it ruins my appetite everytime
B-B-Q Hot Pot
I have the great time with my family -Very clean- many choice Good price and wonderful customer service. Number one recommendation for everyone. Tasty foods + many choice. We enjoyed a variety of dishes that catered to everyone's tastes, from savory options to delectable desserts. The atmosphere was welcoming, making it a perfect place for family gatherings. Each member of my family found something they loved, and we left feeling satisfied and happy. I can't wait to return and try even more items from their extensive menu! thank you so much !

China Star
First time ive been here, i came a little after lunch time, the lady at the door was on her phone and shooed me to the dining room instead of saying hi or literally anything. The entire buffet was empty, and i mean empty (which i understand) but when I asked another employee if they were planning to refill anything she was so annoyed "yea, can't you see it's coming?" While the other half of the staff was on the other side of the restaurant eating themselves... She put my receipt on my table before I even got any food! I absolutely won't come back again.
Awful. The cream cheese in the crab ragoon isn't c ream cheese! Disgusting. The pork Egg Rolls were missing the pork. And the fried dumplings were far from fried. I didn't get any sweet and sour for the crab ragoon, no fish auce for the dumplings and I asked for extra hot muxtard for the egg rolls and received NONE! I ordered a shredded beef dish. That is absolutely not what I received. Bottom line...you spend $50 bucks on to go food for 2 people, I would expect it should be better than this. So disappointed.
