Greenbelly
This is often hit or miss and sometimes inconsistent. I’ve had some of my best meals here and I’ve had moldy chicken here. It is more often delicious than not but taking all visits in scope, I’ll go with 4/5. Other consideration is parking. It can be troublesome to find a spot and the lot is so small.
I give GreenBelly a green thumbs up! Great service and really amazing food. I got the Super Fit grain bowl and my friend got the flat bread pizza. Both were amazing! First time at Greenbelly but will definitely stop back in!
Big Fred's Pizza Garden & Lounge
The food is okay, but the service was awesome. Our waitress/server was, I believe, Heather? She was so nice, patient, and accommodating.
This has been a place to go too growing up for me and my family . My mom and I came to dinner around 7:45 place was not too busy . We order chicken tenders that we usually split we waited over 20 minutes for our food and when it arrived, it was cold when we told the manager and staff they acted like they could’ve cared less and then they offered to make us another meal which we would’ve ended up waiting 20 more minutes. I truly don’t know why we keep coming back because the service and food has truly gone down hill . Staff always seems to be more of a social event than working . Don’t recommend anyone .
I Love Pad Thai
I had an extremely disappointing experience at I Love Pad Thai. One of the items I ordered was the spicy wings, and they were clearly undercooked. The chicken was pink inside, which is a serious food safety issue. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice until after I had eaten some, and I ended up getting sick. Food safety should be a top priority for any restaurant, and serving undercooked chicken is unacceptable. I expected much better quality and attention to detail. This experience has made me hesitant to ever return, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others.
Food was good, broccoli and beef was good but tasted like it was gravy not normal Asian sauce. Spring rolls were okay but had something off about it, the noodles were amazing, would definitely recommend. The peanut sauce tasted like microwaved peanut butter. Discontinued drinks that are still on the menu. There was a video game being played on the tv, waitress seemed she did not want to be there, was kinda of rude.
Noodles and Company
Had not been to a Noodles and Company in a while. Was pleasantly surprised that it was still a good fast food option.
Stopped in while on a road trip. Chicken noodle was a light option and was ready right away. I don't go to Noodles and Co. very much, and it seems that they can facilitate such a long menu because of pre-prepared ingredients. So the soup had the same cubes grilled chicken that my husband's pad Thai had. It's fast food but it's decent. The service was excellent and the dining room and bathroom were clean.
Salween Thai
My favorite dish has to be to Pad See Yew. It tastes amazing and the food here is always fresh. The potstickers and shrimp rolls taste amazing. 10/10
Last night my bestie and I came in for dinner. We had a wonderful experience, the restaurant was shockingly empty for most of our experience. Their menu is largely Thai Based but they do offer some Vietnamese specialties as well such as Pho, Banh Mi and Vermicelli Bowls as well. The food was magnificent and we definitely were warmed up by it on the chilly night last night. We had the Khao Soi, Grilled Beef Salad with some Rice Ball sausages. The Khao Soi ( Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup) I got at a spice level of 5. It has tender pieces of Chicken, wonderfully sour mustard greens to break up the richness of the crave worthy coconut broth and fresh red onions and crispy noodles on top and at the bottom of all this delicious is a wonderful nest of tender rice noodles. The Grilled Beef Salad is a wonderful delight of sour, sweet and spicy while also being incredibly savoury with the tender pieces of Grilled Beef. We got this a spice level of 5 as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. The spice played nice with the toothsome rice powder sprinkled across the dish, and mingled well with the fresh cilantro, mint and also the red and green onion and seasoned with a spicy lime dressing. All of these things may sound out of place but upon tasting you’ll find your tongue is being played a perfect symphony of flavours that just continue to build the more you eat it. The rice ball sausages were delicious but always perplex me in a way that always makes me want them again and again. Tender sausage combined with noodles and wrapped in a chewy rice paper with a slightly peppery bite to them from the seasonings, but in no way spicy. Try them and you’ll find yourself wondering where they all went. Overall we can’t wait to come back for another delightful experience, but if it’s cold or you need your Thai fix. Salween is my favourite place to start at and I can’t wait to explore and experience the rest of the menu.
Khao Niao
Khao Kiao is an absolute must-try for Thai food lovers! We ordered the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Fresh Spring Rolls, and everything was fantastic. The Drunken Noodles, made fresh in-house, were a standout—so flavorful and perfectly spiced. The Pad Thai was well-balanced and delicious, and the Fresh Spring Rolls were light, crisp, and packed with freshness. The staff was warm and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. If you’re craving authentic Thai cuisine, Khao Kiao is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Chicken Thai Fried Rice and Pad See Ew Chicken were 10/10!! Best Thai I have ever had. So so delicious!!!
Three Happiness Express
This place is solid!! Don’t trust the reviews making complaints they are just expecting top notch cuisine at a family owned casual restaurant. The food quality is above regular Chinese take out. The inside is nice, easy to stop in and eat. The lady at the front was nice but could have been more pleasant, just some friendly feedback. The guy with the glasses bringing out the food and asking about refills was phenomenal!!! Give him a raise!! His service is what made me have a great experience!!
I ordered the pepper beef with “fried rice” and a cup of hot and sour soup. To start, calling the rice in the image “fried rice” is an insult to the very concept of fried rice. It looks like someone mixed a little bit of soy sauce into a cup of rice and called it a day, no frying or effort was put in, and you can tell by how dry and bland it was. The pepper beef lacked any distinct pepper flavor and was instead drowning in a flavorless brown sauce. The hot and sour soup was fine… Would not recommend, especially for the nearly $20 I paid for this.
Golden Apple Buffet
The food here is excellent. Dining experience was great the place was not too loud we had a group of 16. I questioned the ice cream cups instead of a traditional soft serve machine but then when I tried the ice cream it was actually really good. I still would rather have the full ice cream buffet you could find other places which would include a soft serve machine plus toppings hot fudge etc. but the quality of food here is absolutely excellent. Even if you just want really healthy options like fruit and salad they've got that covered too. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.
One of the cleanest buffet in the metro area. The food is great and the service was awesome! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the hibachi grill was quick and well taken care of. Do not hesitate to visit there. As for now, one of the best in Papillion/Omaha.
Szechuan Express
This restaurant stands out as above average for most Chinese spots, though it doesn't quite reach the level of a top-notch establishment. Pricing is fair, and the value matches what you pay. The Food (4/5): I had the General Chicken, which was a nice balance of a little spicy and a bit more sweet. It tasted fresh, and the chicken wasn’t dried out. The hot and sour soup, however, was a bit tougher—slightly bitter, but still tasty overall. The Service (2/5): The service was pretty basic. My server handled everything—hosting, bidding, and all in between. No recommendations were offered; she was straight to the point, asking if I was ready to order. The food came out quickly—maybe a bit too quickly—but considering this wasn’t a high-end restaurant, it wasn't too surprising. The Atmosphere (1/5): The atmosphere and vibe were definitely the downside of the experience. It was uncomfortably hot inside, with portable fans placed around, making me wonder if something was wrong with the AC. There was no music, which made every conversation around me easily heard, adding to the discomfort. It’s a cheap meal that doesn’t taste too bad.
Great food. I would’ve loved to sit inside but had to grab it to go. It was our first time there and it won’t be the last! Check them out
Jade Garden
Love their peanut butter chicken. Always my go to spot for it and decent prices!!
Great take-out experience here! Lots of gluten free options. I had the gluten free chicken pad Thai and it was really good. We also had edamame and the portion was enormous. It was difficult to find Chinese restaurants that offered gluten free as a Minnesotan visiting so I was grateful to find Jade Garden!
Chop Stick House
The food was not only beautiful in presentation, but also very delicious! We got the crab rangoons, vegetable egg rolls, cashew chicken, and general chicken. They were very nice and it was really cool to see the chef in the back cooking over the fire! The food was served so fast and so hot! So be careful! Hehe! It was a little cold in the dining area, but we sat by the windows and it was a cooler day outside. My favorite thing of all was how thoughtful the woman that served us was. At the end of our meal, she brought us to go containers and a bag that was rolled down so we just had to set our food inside and roll it up! She made it so easy for us. I have never experienced such care. 💛💛💛 Truly enjoyed the food and the kindness of the people there. Thank you!
This is some of the best Chinese food we've had in Omaha. We dined in the restuarant and the service was quick and the staff was very friendly. Each entree is served with two crab rangoon, but they are so delicious, I would recommend ordering some extra. High value for the amount and quality of food all around.
Grand China Buffet
We came around 7:45. Everything was great but unfortunately 20 minutes before close time vacuum cleaners and knocking around cleaning up. Taking ice cream before restaurant closed was very disappointing. All around food was great but I think they should be more mindful of their customers during closing times!
Omaha! How does this buffet have 4 stars? The food was horrible. I grabbed my usuals, spicy chicken dishes… it tasted old, like old food AND it was not fresh or crispy. Not all the chicken tasted old but none of it was good. Onto the seafood… crab was mostly fake, which I expect from buffets but I keep it to a minimum, like in sushi… which was awful. The coconut shrimp was pretty good but when you coat something in sugar, it helps. The best thing on the buffet besides ice cream was the bacon shrimp. The beef was slimy and the pork ribs were way overcooked. The hibachi grill looked too scary to try. The meat was browning due to temperature issues and I didn’t want late night visits to the ER. I am already expecting multiple bathroom trips. The service… bland or as the kids say these days… it was mid. The place was fairly clean so that helped keep me from walking right out. Honestly Omaha, you have better Chinese cuisine… save yourself from heartache.
