China Garden
Ordered the orange chicken with white rice for lunch, along with a side order of 10 fried Dumplings. Holy potatoes- the food was hot, flavorful and the portions were huge! I ended up eating this for lunch 3 days in a row, which was awesome!
I purchased the triple delight meal. The chicken is not good. Seemed watery and just not appetizing. The beef is very good! The shrimp was good. The meal was the perfect amount for one person. I didn’t finish all of the rice and threw away all of the chicken and most of the mushrooms. The egg roll that came with the meal was delicious and we also ordered fried dumplings that were very good as well. The rice was alright so I think I may have to try their noodles and see if they are better. If I return I will have to be in the mood for broccoli beef because of the entire meal that was the best part.
Panda Express
Ordered twice, both times I ordered pickup for ~20 minutes later, food was made quick and ready to be picked up in 5 minutes (Could be a bonus, but 15 minutes before designated pickup time means cold food), asked for half lo mein and half fried rice. Got full fried rice and it was old, crunchy, and dry. I called 4 times to see if I could work something out and head baco, but none of the calls were answered. The food wasn't separated on the plate and looked rushed. I work fast food, and I understand if it's at a rush period, but no one was there. It's funny how they call it gourmet. I wish I had good things to say but this happened twice. Only redeeming factor was the taste of the sauce with the chicken, and the nice napkins.
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I SERIOUSLY WOULD!!!!!! I don’t know if they were prejudiced or racist or what but I have never had this at a panda before!! I eat at panda all the time and spent thousands of dollars here. The past two times I have not had a good experience. Customer service is EVERYTHING!! The first experience with the lady employee: I was there as a dasher picking up DoorDash orders as it’s what I do part time at night. She was rude, and she had no customer service skills and you can clearly tell she hated her job. I asked her while waiting for my dash order if they had shrimp. She said no. I get that. I thought that it was because they were cooking it. Then I decided after I dashed to get food for myself from there and came back. I told her I wanted to order and she’s like for yourself? Just condescending like, as if I can’t eat or afford it there. Then I asked about the shrimp again and she said “ no we have none I told you that.” In my head I was thinking well I didn’t know it was all night, I’m sorry jeez.” Side note: (I called a different location and asked if they had shrimp and the man was kind and explained they are all out and the shipment won’t be here til the following day…etc) A few days later I go back to give them a chance again. ( I LOVE PANDA!!!) this gentleman was just as rude. I got a three entree plate again. I got double orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp with noddles. I specifically asked him if I can get one serving of orange chicken on the plate, honey walnut shrimp and then in the other container I wanted the other portion of orange chicken. That was COMPLETELY NOT A THING!!!! He used the side box for my walnut shrimp and below is the picture. Everytime I’ve gone to panda, they always try to give the customer what they can because a 3 entree plate alone is over $13 bucks. This time he not only disregarded my request, he filled it without “filling it” I asked him can you please put a little more in there and he rebutted it by saying “‘no, you only get six shrimp pieces.” Even if this is true (which I have been given more every other time, it’s an entree side and it’s also extra money to get it because it’s premium) he was rude about it. I could have been okay with that if I didn’t feel like I didn’t matter and they didn’t want to make anymore food so they can go home since it was 830pm. All I know is I love panda, I love reviewing my honest opinion about a lot of places and this one just makes me so sad. I don’t know if I will ever go back to this location and given the reviews and people I know, I will spread the word for others to be on the look out. I will pay hundreds of dollars for mediocre food if I felt like whoever was servicing me cared!!!!!!!!
China Star
First time ive been here, i came a little after lunch time, the lady at the door was on her phone and shooed me to the dining room instead of saying hi or literally anything. The entire buffet was empty, and i mean empty (which i understand) but when I asked another employee if they were planning to refill anything she was so annoyed "yea, can't you see it's coming?" While the other half of the staff was on the other side of the restaurant eating themselves... She put my receipt on my table before I even got any food! I absolutely won't come back again.
Awful. The cream cheese in the crab ragoon isn't c ream cheese! Disgusting. The pork Egg Rolls were missing the pork. And the fried dumplings were far from fried. I didn't get any sweet and sour for the crab ragoon, no fish auce for the dumplings and I asked for extra hot muxtard for the egg rolls and received NONE! I ordered a shredded beef dish. That is absolutely not what I received. Bottom line...you spend $50 bucks on to go food for 2 people, I would expect it should be better than this. So disappointed.
China 1
This was my first time trying this restaurant and it was pretty good. I ordered delivery and it was still hot, which was cool. I tried the chicken with hot garlic sauce and fried rice, not too shabby. The eggroll was a little too oily for me but I'd eat here again and try their crab rangoons to see if those are better. Decent prices, lots of veggies in my dish and plenty of sauce👌
Yum Yum chicken was fantastic! As well as the hot and sour soup and egg rolls. We loved it! Everything was made fresh and the serving sizes were great!
Panda Express
It's a really great place, the taste is excellent, served hot and quick. The staff is also good and helpful. It has a drive-thru and a good parking lot.
This has to be the best one in omaha when it comes to the food. It is always fresh and they give you the right size portions. The other ones all seem like they serve food that's been sitting and only give you a tiny amount.
Applebee's Grill + Bar
Absolutely not enough staff even on a slow night. Zero sense of urgency or a desire to serve people in a timely fashion(20 minutes to PLACE a drink order, nevermind the time to receive them. 50 minutes to get a medium rare steak after ordering....
I came here for my first ever Veteran's special after being out of the service for 4 years. The food was good, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was pleasant as well. The best part of the evening was when the male host asked me if I need a veteran's menu. I'm a female veteran and I've had a lot of assumptions made about me during and after my service. I had brought my discharge papers along with me just in case but when the male host ASKED me if I needed a veteran's menu, instead of just assuming I wasn't a veteran - it made my entire day, if not my week/month. He was personable and a stand up guy. Thank you for not assuming and recognizing that 15% of the US military is made up of servicewomen. I will not forget this kindness, I promise. I will be back for future Veteran's specials if the establishment chooses to continue them.
Sarku Japan
After a long and difficult day, had to say goodbye to my childhood dog💙, my family and i decided to stop by and grab some food from Sarku Japan. My family and I were under the impression that the mall closed at 9, it closes at 8. We arrived around 7:50 pm and asked if it was too late to order they all kindly said no. The kindness of the staff truly made a difference. I've been coming here for years, and both the service and food have never disappointed.
UPDATE. The meat portions have become very small. Ordering double meat is the same as the regular portion once was. RIP OFF!!! This is one of my go-to mall chain restaurants. The food is ok, and you're guaranteed to get it hot and fresh because it's cooked on a grill right in front of you. From coast to coast, Sarku remains consistent. The teriyaki sauce could use more flavor. It seems to be a bit watered-down, but just ask for 2 scoops. Portion sizes have gotten smaller, and prices went up, but that's happening everywhere, so im not surprised. All in all, I give it an O.K. rating.
Panda Express
Very clean and excellent food quality. Especially the bathrooms were very clean
we have been through the drive thru many times, both online order and ordering at the speaker. we have also dined in twice. we have had great experiences every single time. Quick, accurate, delicious! They FILL their boxes full of chicken, the rangoons are stuffed full, they never are stingy with the sauces. the staff is always so kind and the restaurant is clean! thank you panda lords for blessing us with a location just 3 minutes from my house.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews
Our server Charity was friendly, fast, and helpful! She made a wonderful Desert Pear Margarita and Passion Fruit Margarita. I definitely recommend adding the beaker of Patron. The Old Fashioned was also a delightful cocktail. The MadLove burger was the perfect blend of hearty, a little spicy and a little sweet. The Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Sandwich was absolutely delicious. Finally, the Shortbread Chocolate Souffle Cake was a perfect warm meets cold, chocolate meets vanilla way to end the meal.
Food was delicious. Great burgers. Nice salad and really good fries. Only negative: We Had to kill a family of spiders that were located above our booth seats. Yikes. Everything was great… Except the extra uninvited guests. 😳
Dragon Cafe
Spring rolls were oily, inside and out. I asked to make sure it was egg rolls. He said they were the same, however these were made of rice paper and not flour, but I digress. The Mei Fun was heavily salted. Way too much msg and not enough seasoning. Not even a hint of ginger. The chicken was also old, and stringy, meaning it wasn’t hydrated long enough with the cornstarch slurry which would have rejuvenated the chicken. The noodles had a gummy texture meaning the noodles were over cooked during the stirfry and not enough oil was added for the light sear. The meat portion was fair. 4/10 The Dragon and Phoenix, basically deep fried tender beef tossed in brown sauce separated by broccoli from jumbo shrimp also deep fried and tossed in a simple garlic sauce. The shrimp were swimming in the sauce, also doused in msg. The beef was tender like the chicken should have been from the mei fun. The beef sauce was a bit too sweet and was drily familiar to bbq, Just saying. The portion was ok. 4/10 Overall I wouldn’t spend my money here. There are better options and fell below par for the typical Asian fast food restaurant. I was expecting midrange and hoping for a notch above. I’m very disappointed and think this restaurant is cutting corners when it comes to prepping their food and is heavy handed with the salt and msg in place of the Asian trio garlic ginger and spring onion. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are using bullion or store bought chicken stock for their base stock, which would explain all the salt. There is no pride I this food and the oily spring roll immediately hurt my stomach. It may look good but trust me, skip this one.
The most mid Chinese food that I’ve had in the Omaha area. Ordered three different dishes and they all tasted the same. One was supposed to be spicy, I don’t think a single chile pepper was in the kitchen when it was made. Service was quick and the Spring rolls are decent.
Hy-Vee Chinese
Got dinner for 2. Take out. It was good except the sweet and sour chicken. It was void of sauce, peppers, onions, anything. Basically plain chicken nuggets. Not worth driving back there for a fix. : (
Haven't tried hyvee chinese in a long time going on 4 years now. Haven't been missing out all, I got firecracker chicken and sesame. The only reason it's a 2 star is because the firecracker chicken still had some crunch. The sesame was complete mush, which means it's been sitting out too long. I saw it was 3 stars and was hoping to increase the rating but not from the food quality I experienced. My wife ordered low mein, orange chicken, and sweet and sweet and sour. The lo mein was flavorless, the orange chicken was mush and had some odd flavors, and the sweet and sour was still crispy but completely cold. Why would I want to spend around $20+ dollars on food that is this quality when I can go to several other places that have much better quality control. You could always try and not make as much and set a timer for when you need to toss whatever is left in the bowl away and make fresh meat, and I know some people are in a hurry and want to eat and go, but if I was asked if I wanted to wait for fresh made sesame or whatever I would to spare my stomach the pain from food that's been sitting out too long. Maybe I'll try them again in another 4 years.
Valentino's To-Go
My family loves Valentinos. I wish they would bring back the buffet at this location, but times have changed since Covid. Tonight we ordered 3 pizzas, spaghetti, lasagna, and salad. The food was really delicious. And they delivered to our house, which was great. We will be ordering from there again!
This Place used to be the best to order from. Now its a bunch of people working with terrible customer service skills and too long of wait times.
