Lotus Xpress
First visit was tonight, dine in. It was recommended to me since I was in Joplin for the evening. The general chicken was out of bounds. And the complementary egg drop soup was fantastic. Fastest service ever on dine. Strongly recommend!
My family and I eat here every other week and everytime we talk about how wonderful this place is. Our food is done so fast and always delicious. The prices are unbeatable and we especially love the complimentary soup. ❤️
Orient Express Delivery
I went there to go pick up an order, and the lady was very rude to me and she was trying to grab the food out of my hand, even though she handed it to me and it was already paid for and then she gave me a really disgusting look after I said That it was paid for be careful when you go here. Customer service is very poor. I will find out the name of the woman that was behind the counter, and I will re-edit this post.
Every time I'm in the area, I start craving cashew chicken from Orient Express. I like that they use all white meat chicken. And their sauce is awesome! Really friendly folks there who will ask you about your day, in between answering calls and taking orders. The building exterior has a koi pond mural that makes me super happy, too.
China Wok
You're guy's food is pretty good for the most part. Although, I think you guys are confused about something. I will now add 2 pictures. One is of WONTONS. The other, is a picture of wonton chips, which I was given. We called to ask about the issue, and you said people eat them like chips. It doesn't say 'wonton chips' on the menu. It says "wontons." The cashew chicken I ordered was very well done 👏. I will be a returning customer for that, I just won't be getting the wontons anymore 😅. The crab Rangoons are phenomenal! I'll probably go with them from now on.
Great experience. They close at 8pm but still let me dine in at 7:30pm (said if I can finish by 8pm so) … price is reasonable and food is cooked fresh
Hunan Garden
The service was great, but the food was just okay. I found a hair in my chicken and the beef wasn't cooked all the way through. I'm sure it's not like that every time though. I took my mom during a later lunch time. So, maybe that was it. I would probably go eat there again just maybe during dinner and see if it is any better. Also, no information on allergies on the food. So, dietary options are restrictive. Awesome service though.
The cocktail shrimp was definitely spoiled to the point you could smell it from just walking past it all of the onions in everything were just huge raw chunks of onion some were even cool to the touch like they just cut off huge slices and then added them on top instead of actually cooking them. The floors were filthy. The server seemed nice but I'll never be back.
Canton House Chop Suey
Edit: Now that the store has a new owner, his communication is better and he is really friendly [One time I forgot an item, and he left the store and chased me down to give it to me which was awesome.] the food is good and affordable. However, one issue I have is with the waiting times. I usually call in ahead of time and wait 5 mins before going in, but usually when I get there I’m still waiting usually 8-10 minutes for my order, even during down times. The store is really clean though, and is small so due to covid precautions I usually wait outside. But overall it’s a nice place for good comfort food.
Been eating here since a kid..they have different owners but the same great food they always have had 💪🏽💯
Happy House
My only major complaint is the there was nothing spicy to speak of. General Tso's chicken, Kung Pao shrimp, Even the black pepper chicken was barely peppery. If you're going to label something spicy please make it spicy. Everything else it was great. Largely very fresh with the exception of the potstickers which had been allowed to dry out. I like the availability of Western dishes, and was quite satisfied with the selection overall. Service was great. Nice, calm, quiet, dimly lit place.
I love it here and always have! My go to when I am craving veggies and chicken. I was fine myself doing carry out. I feel like I get a lot more for my money and I get to have seconds the next day.. sooo good!
Oriental House Restaurant
It must be the location cause the food is not. I come from Dallas and was told that oriental house was the best... so disappointed. The photos should speak for themselves. I started at peak garden. Up to Walmart. My own experience is good, bad and trying to keep up. That last picture was what was brought out after I asked for better lo being noodle.. what do you think?
gave this place a try..it wasnt the worst ive tried..its not terrible its just not great..low mein was not good..fried rice had no flavor..egg rolls were ok..a few of the items tasted the same..i think they use the same sauce in a few dishes..general tso's had zero spice..i had high hope for this place..im sure its the best in the area..price was not bad but the food could be alot better if they just tried.
Mai Chinese Restaurant
The Chinese restaurant has a simple, no-frills layout with the option to dine in or carry out. I ordered the Pad See-Ew combo, which came with both chicken and pineapple chicken in the same dish (other combos are available). The flavors blended nicely—savory with just the right touch of sweetness. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly: tender without being mushy, and with a slight chew. A satisfying and flavorful meal overall.
Tried the New Mai Chinese in Anderson, MO Tonight I was in Anderson, MO, for work this evening and had heard some buzz about the new Mai Chinese restaurant that recently opened. Being a huge fan of Chinese food, I had to check it out! I’ve had the chance to experience some incredible Chinese cuisine in the Chinatowns of San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, Tampa, and Denver, so I was excited to see what this spot had to offer. The restaurant is small, with about 13 tables, and I was seated quickly. I started with the appetizer combo, which included house-made egg rolls and crab cheese wontons. The service was fast—my appetizers arrived in under five minutes! Unfortunately, the crab cheese wontons had a bit of an off-putting taste, possibly due to old grease or cross-flavoring from previously cooked food. It wasn’t terrible, just not as fresh as I’d hoped. For my entrée, I ordered a favorite—General Tso’s Chicken with fried rice. The dish arrived quickly, but I was a bit disappointed that the fried rice was completely plain—no onions, peas, egg, or anything I usually expect. The General Tso’s Chicken was just okay—small, gumball-sized pieces with some scallions on top. Overall, the food was mediocre at best, and while I finished my meal, it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to visit again. On the plus side, the service was great, and the restaurant was clean! If you’ve tried it, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Rob Score 5.5/10.0
Song's Kitchen Asian Cuisine
FOOD WAS GREAT! PORTIONS WERE BETTER! The two people working the truck (I assume to be the owners) were so sweet!! This was our first time driving through this town and we happened to drive past this place and wanted to try. Let me just say you won’t find a much more authentic Asian cuisine in this town, maybe an Asian American Fusion but nothing authentic. The shrimp rolls are a MUST TRY!! Mongolian beef was perfectly seasoned and pairs so well with just regular white rice. The drunken noodle was definitely a yummy dish too! We will definitely be making our way back if we ever pass through this town again. This place deserves so much more recognition!
Tremendous! Worth stopping. I stopped for lunch, was able to park my semi across street. Had the #25 drunken noodles & crab wontons with a thai iced tea, honestly some of the best I've had!
Lemay Wok
Always loved this place until tonight. Paid for soup that we didn’t get. Then paid for fried rice that we asked for without onion- that had onions in it. We were told we had to drive the fried rice back up to the restaurant before it closed in order to get a refund. We had already driven 20 minutes to get the food. My kids don’t eat it with onion in it which is why I ordered it without onion but wasn’t able to drive another 20 minutes plus there and back to get an exchange or refund after 8:00 (was supposed to be easy for pickup before 7). We already had waited over an hour to receive our order once we got there and didn’t find out about their mistake until we drove over 20 minutes home to find out. Very disappointing and unlike any service we’ve ever received before. Otherwise we wouldn’t be driving over 20 minutes for Chinese food there and back. What has happened? So disappointed. Wasn’t worth the gas money or the disrespect after all these years of being a loyal customer to be told to drive back all that way to correct THEIR mistake. Guess I’ll be looking for a replacement. So sad!
Amazing food! The Crab Rangoon actually had crab in them! General Tso and Cashew Chicken sauces were flavorful. Great chicken. Huge portions. Friendly service. We have found our new favorite Chinese takeout in St Louis.
Sun Sing House
I come here to greet the St. Paul sandwiches!! There are so fresh, hot and everything is balanced. Just enough mayo, tomato, and pickle. The salt and pepper is the cherry on top. I always get the shrimp St. Paul.
My parents have been bringing me here since I was a child. They have the best St. Paul sandwiches.
P.F. Chang's
I stopped in today and got lucky enough to get Alana! Alana was so helpful from the time we walked in till the time we walked out! It being my first time she recommended some great dishes and drink to my boyfriend and I! I’m so happy we listened because the shrimp dumplings were everything she said they would be! Nothing short of amazing and delicious! She also recommended the Zen margarita which was also amazing I felt good as I was drinking it! Although it was my boyfriend’s first time she got him to try something new and he loved it! That spicy chicken was delicious! Alana checked in on us frequently even though she was busy. She boxed my food up for also put together a to go order I made after eating (because the food is just that great I had to have some at home for later)! If you happen to stop in this location ask for Alana she will steer you in the right direction! She kept smiles on our face every time she came to the table. I can only leave 5 stars but she deserves her 10’s! Thank you Alana we’ll be back soon to visit you!
Visited on a Sunday for dinner—it was pretty quiet. We ordered crispy beans, veg spring rolls, signature lo mein with tofu, sesame chicken with rice, and banana spring rolls for dessert. Crispy beans were a big letdown—too oily and undercooked even after a replacement. Spring rolls were just okay. The signature lo mein was flavorful and delicious, and my friends enjoyed the sesame chicken. The highlight was definitely the banana spring rolls—crispy, tasty, and paired perfectly with pineapple coconut ice cream. Overall, a decent experience with some hits and misses.
