New China Carry Out (Order Online Available)
Trucker review: Ordered via doordash. The food was hot and fresh. Everything was very tasty š. The steak rice and bourbon chicken were my favorite. Would order again in the future.
The best Chinese in Grand Rapids. I so love the shrimp fried rice... But everything I've ever had from there was good
My Kitchen
We typically get My Kitchen to go, but chose to eat in this week. The food is amazing! The dry pots are full of variety and flavor. The tweens loved the "slurpy noodles". There was no specific "kids menu" that we saw, but the meals are big enough to split.
I got mapo tofu for takeout here since itās one of my favorite Chinese dishes. This wasnāt as spicy as some renditions Iāve had before, but it tasted fairly authentic and still had some heat. The food quality struck me as being good, and itās cool to find some decent Szechuan food in GR. The place itself is pretty spartan, but people were trickling in. Itās a pretty nondescript place in a strip mall on Eastern, so you wouldnāt really expect Chinese food of this type there, but they donāt disappoint. Give them a try if youāre into Szechuan cuisine.
China City
I heard that China City had good food so we decided to grab some take out. It's a small little restaurant that I never noticed before because it's tucked into a little strip mall. I'm glad we stopped. We ordered curry chicken and shrimp and vegetables. Everyone there was very friendly, the service was quick. The serving sizes are pretty large. But I'm good with leftovers. The food was fresh and very delicious. I was even happy with my fortune. So win, win š I definitely recommend and will be returning.
Good food, well sized portions. The fried rice wasn't what I expected. Just brown rice. Overall dinner was ok.
Beijing Kitchen
Attempted to place a catering order for a work party. Nothing crazy, just a couple trays. Their website indicates they can accommodate. Well, I've called 20+ times the last 3 days and no one ever answered. Their voicemail was also full so could not leave a message either. The lack of answering the phone means they either don't worry about customer service or they are over-worked and under-staffed. Certainly not a place I'd trust to cater any parties, now. Too bad.
When it comes to Chinese food, its a hit and miss. I've been to highly rated places that were gross, and low ratings that were decent. Sometimes they're spot on. I decided to give this place a try. I must say, this place is delicious! Food was hot and fresh, and flavorful. Really good! And pricing is on par for dinner menu its worth the visit and I'll definitely be coming back. General tso!
Peking Inn
Absolutely the best Chinese food, Pot Stickers and Egg Rolls that I have ever had. The prices are amazing. I have tried many dishes, from the Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, General Taos Chicken, Chicken Chop-Suey, Chicken and Snowpeas, Mongolian Beef and Beef and Snowpeas. They were all fabulous and did not disappoint!! Every dish I have tried was exceptionally tasty. The owner is super sweet and always pleasant.
Great options and great food. I had the garlic chicken which was advertised as spicy. It had just the right amount of spice. Service was very good and incredibly friendly. The building was clean and well maintained. Great stop when in the Byron Center area or when in need of a meal when going up 131.
Chopstick House
This spot is a great combination of price/deliciousness/quantity š. It has a bit of seating inside, but itās mainly a takeout spot. Service was very friendly, especially the guy who brings out the food. He definitely made an impression with his warmth and kindness. The food was pretty good! Iāve been twice and will continue to go back.
Well, I was looking for a place that served sesame chicken and this place got rave reviews. Unfortunately I didnāt like sesame chicken because it was hard to chew and swallow. I hate that because the gentleman at the front is over the top friendly. Now, the spring rolls are delicious and light! š
China Max Express
Tried this place for lunch last week. Went at around 11:30am and got in and out of there with my lunch in a matter of just a few minutes. Got the 3 combo plate with orange chicken, jalapeno chicken, broccoli beef and fried rice. Also an order of cheese wantons. Everything was very tasty! The orange chicken tasted just like I remember having at rivertown mall many years ago. Portions were good for the price. Service was good. This place will be a new lunch go-to for me!
Same owner that had the more favorite at Rivertown Mall. Was greeted by two young men one of which greeted me with a sample of their orange chicken which is by far the best around. Have not found anything nearly as close since they had to close because the mall jacked up the rent so high couldn't afford it. I got the three combo platter. Orange chicken, the green bean chicken, hot and spicy beef and a large pop for $16. Ended up bringing some of it home. I definitely will be back, this is not far from my home and my work. Nice job keep up the great work.
Panda Express
Ragoons were cold by the time we got them, overall it's good food and a decent amount for the price. In the winter / night it is really cold in the seating area.
I love food here! The employees did a great job and moved the line through quickly. They also offered samples of their craft beverages, which I was happy to try. Nice meal, great food and great service.
Panda Chinese Restaurant
Solid, historical Chinese take out in Cedar Springs. Cash only. Don't dine in. Fast service. I'm usually getting crab rangoon, egg roll, orange chicken, and shrimp lo mein. Large portion sizes. They know what they're doing. Classic Chinese take out. Nothing more to it.
We ordered this for dinner and couldn't be happier! The two hard working people that served us were very kind and polite, as well as timely with food we ordered. The portions were very fair to the price charged and most of all the food tasted great! Very clean and fresh flavors and well worth it!
Blue Dragon Restaurant
I was so disappointed in the food we got for takeout the other day. The sweet and sour chicken was mushy and tasteless. The chicken with vegetables had dry overcooked chicken that was so salty I could barely eat it. The fried rice was fine. I was craving Chinese food for days and was so excited to try somewhere new, and unfortunately wasnāt happy
1st eating takeout from blue dragon, it is very good food and portioned well. Wee will definitely come again
Taste of China
Horrible the chicken and broccoli donāt even taste like chicken. The rice is soggy. I feel so disrespected and like I just got robbed for 35 dollars I been going to taste of china for years but this place is absolutely giving the brand a bad name. My wife is pregnant and the food is in the trash. They smile in your face like they cool with you but really they laughing at you cause it probably aināt even chicken Iām heated or I would have driven 25 minutes to bring it back. This is the husband leaving this message just for the record.
The crab Rangoon š¦ had no crab in them plus the dough was super thick and chewy. The shrimp with lobster sauce was totally bland no flavor at all and it looked really gross. Same for the fried rice I called first and the girl that answered the phone was extremely rude and snarky and even hung up on me before I finished my question. I will never go back Khoo on cowesett or Wasabi on bald hill road is much much better.
Panda Express
The girl at the drive though window in Grand Rapids, Michigan was so sweet!! She asked if we wanted to donate to the children's hospital and when I told her we were going there tomorrow she gave my son a panda stuffed animal in a Chinese box and said God Bless you, I hope it goes well. I almost cried she was so genuine and kind!! The food is always good so this was just a huge bonus at a hard time!! The walnut shrimp and sesame chicken were yummy too!!
Food and Service was good, however, when ordering, there was only a scoop left of what I wanted and instead of telling whomever to get more, & fill the pan, the server was going to give me what was left and said you can have another scoop of something else. I told her NO, just give me the honey chicken. The eating area could have been cleaner as there was food on the tables and floor. And that is unexceptable, especially in the food business.
