Panda Chinese Restaurant
2nd time eating here will be my last and boy what a difference from last time. Pork was not fully cooked in the Singapore Mei Fun and there was a metal shaving in it as well. The veggies in the Egg Roll had black spots on them as they were past their expiration date. Furniture is old and decrepit so I wouldn't recommend dining in. Service itself is fine but serving up food that's moldy and has metal shavings is no bueno.
You are coming here for the food, since I leave nearby it is fairly cordial with the people who run the joint. If good food at an amazing price point is what you are looking for, this is the spot. This is a takeout location, so if you want to eat in you already messed up.
Sesame House
Great little spot for kaak sandwiches! The sandwiches are incredible, and nothing beats that fresh out of the oven flavor. The meats taste so great, so fresh and spiced perfectly. It's pretty good to dine in and brunch there. Very simple setting inside and the tea and coffee is help yourself once you've paid for the cup. Will return, probably will order to go next time.
I beat the suhoor rush and still waited 40 minutes. Three others got served before me AND I waited longer because they forgot part of the order. On top of this, I got two bites worth of sojuk out of the entire entree. I would have loved some sojuk w my sojuk, egg, and cheese kaak. You’re better off making it at home.
Lims Chinese and Sushi Restaurant
I've had two recent experiences at this Chinese restaurant, and both were great! For dine-in, it had that classic, traditional Chinese restaurant vibe. The staff was incredibly attentive, quick, and friendly. When dining in, they serve you an egg roll and soup before your meal, which is a nice touch. Our plates came out hot and with generous portions--absolutely no complaints there. For takeout, the food was ready in just 10 minutes. Both takeout boxes were packed with fresh, hot food, and the portions were just as generous as dining in. Everything is fairly priced, which is always a bonus. I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area and craving good Chinese food!
Update 12/31/24: Stopped in for dinner on New Years. They were Super busy! Food was good but took a while to be seated. Take out was very busy, so much so they stopped answering the phone. Found this place on accident 2 days ago. We ordered takeout. We had the family meal for 5. There was so much food. It felt more like enough for 7 or 8. The quality was just as good. So today we came back and dined in. They were super busy but we very nice. The food took a little while to come out but it didn't feel like it was too long. Afterwards, the owner came over to apologize, which was nice but unnecessary. We totally recommend this location.
Loung Hing Restaurant
Open normal hours Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2024. Yes only place in Metro Detroit you can get these Old School Chinese Diner Rolls from the 50's, they disappeared many decades ago. I got a six pack Oh the memories of my youth 😀 in China Town Detroit. The most pleasant surprise my addiction since a kid OMG 😋💯. Had a new favorite Medium Heat Curry 🐔 Chicken WOWED only ten bucks lunch totally blown away Delicious. I've been a customer over 40 years next door to Senate Coney Island on Ecorse. I'm making meatloaf sandwiches with my Xtra Chinese Dinner Rolls for another winner. They bake them several times each day a $1 each so mega Deal 😁💯🤪 #lounghing #oldchinese #chinesedinnerrolls #currychicken #lowprices #taylormi #downriverclassic #downriverfriendseat
The food is very flavorful hot and ready guaranteed, cant really dine in just yet. Also sometimes when you try to call in a order Noone answers the phone for a good 10 times to finally get through, besides that the daily lunch special is worth every penny.
Kwong Village
This restaurant has very good food. Only one lady working at the counter and it is more of a carry out, place. The prices of full food is very reasonable. Parking varies it is a corner location
I always go get the two meat combination, no egg roll extra rice! I get this at least once a week, sometimes even more. That’s how great their food be!!!!! I’ve been going since a little girl with my mom and family. I like how they haven’t changed a bit!!!
Hong Kong 1
Customer service is great, the inside is very nice and clean. Food was fresh and very good. I would recommend trying the general Paul’s chicken.
I’m not sure who General Paul is but, boy, his chicken is spectacular. It’s so nice to find a local Chinese place that is consistently good and fresh. Soups are great and everything is always made fresh and delicious. And it only takes 10 minutes to get your order! Trust me, make this your weekly carry out spot.
Great China Garden LLC
The overall ease of ordering and picking up was amazing alone. The order was cooked perfectly and made within 20 minutes. Incredibly friendly staff and clean restaurant. Love this place, it’s definitely my new go to spot for Cantonese food.
Food was delicious, ordering was very easy, and the staff inside was extremely friendly. I had takeout, but the inside of the restaurant seemed extremely nice also, I wish I lived closer! Definitely worth a stop & really good pricing also. The chicken fried rice was exactly what I hoped for!
New Peking Chinese Restaurant
Food and service was good. Nice for quiet dinner for 2. Got the dinner for 2. It is a la cart style seemingly for dinner, but i did see lunch specials that are inclusive. It could have been quite expensive but we got the basic for our 1st visit.
A health inspector needs to visit this establishment when I ordered through DoorDash what first alarmed me is all items are Ala Carte never heard of a Chinese restaurant that fried rice doesn’t come with the meal that should’ve been a red flag but in fact I still patronized I ordered shrimp egg foo young and what arrived was astonishing, disgusting , inhumane and simply the most careless display of dog food I’ve ever seen don’t order from here if you care about yourself it’s extremely flabbergasting what they sold and sent I have never and would never again! If you don’t want to serve people what they people please find a business that better suits you this is insane don’t believe me see photo below
New China Moon
Very nice people! The food was excellent and fresh. I recommend the chicken Egg Foo Young and the General Tso’s chicken. The egg rolls remind me of a smaller version I had as a kid from my favorite place at the time…..delicious! 😋 I should have taken the picture before I ate one of the patties, but I couldn’t resist.
Takeout food was all very hot, fresh and tasty! Also, even though I walked in 15 mins before closing time since getting off work late, the owner was super nice and her customer service complemented her delicious food perfectly. Highly recommend if you want good Chinese food!
Delish Asian Thai Cuisine
The service was great. I liked that you have a choice of either Chinese or Thai food in one place. I had the Thai Prik Pow fried rice and Thai coffee. Even though the Prik Pow was supposed to be Thai flavored, it tasted like Chinese fried rice /w Thai seasonings on top and big chunks of basil. The atmosphere is peaceful with the background meditation like music and multiple waterfalls but a little cluttered in some areas and vacant looking in others. The bar area is inaccessible in its current state and should be opened to customers despite not being used often as it is still a feature of the establishment and alcohol is still being offered.
This is a fabulous place! I hadn’t been here since it changed hands from the Rose Garden. It HAS changed hands, and it’s now a Thai /Chinese restaurant. It’s definitely the best of both worlds anywhere within a thirty miles radius. Papaya salad? They have it! But that’s just the beginning. The spices are authentic and everything is fresh. I can’t believe I waited this long.
Tai Fai
I’ve only been here once and tried three dishes, so my review is based solely on those. I ordered the veggie lo mein, and I’m not sure why they left so much liquid in the box—I couldn’t tell if I ordered noodles or noodle soup. They had to wrap it four times in saran wrap, and I’m not joking—I wish I had taken a photo before unwrapping it. My boyfriend got the sesame chicken with fried rice. The fried rice tasted a bit old, but everything else was okay. The best thing was the baked avocado—definitely the highlight of the meal. This is one of those places where the food looks great, but looks can be deceiving.
This is a really simple Korean restaurant. The menu is small but everything on it was really really good. We just stopped in to check it out and maybe split something small. It all looked good so we ordered 5 dishes and all were great. We ordered 1 miso soup and they brought out 5. Service was also extremely fast and on top of everything. My husband passed out a plate of dumplings and before he could find a spot to set the empty plate on the table they were already there to clear it. This might be our new easy go to date night.
Pho Chopstix - Southfield
The food is flavorful and fresh. I love seafood and the shrimp I loved. The broth is not too strong, so even those who are not used to new flavors or types of food would be more likely to enjoy. Large variety on the menu. They have a lot of seating, booths as well as large tables for family outings or business meetings. Wheelchair access might be tricky because two separate doors to enter, but there are tables that welcome you. Good customer service and music to sing along to, or if your voice is not ear friendly, just bop your head. The springrolls are crisp and juicy, and the sauce is amazing.
First time trying Pho and it was so good. My waiter was amazing as well and he made sure to explain what's on the menu and a good pho to try for your first time
