I have never been disappointed with my food here! So tasty and huge portions. Staff is very friendly, would highly recommend.

This food was the best Ive had in a long time and it was a huge portion. Enough for me to eat for like 3 meals.

Food is horrible think I'm going to be sick ion know what kind of won ton soup this is never seen big chunks of strange meat in soup taste rachid and spoiled I hate I came here the egg roll taste old as hell and these chips very strange taste. May be some cat or dog meat I have never tasted this taste for any meat 😔 It was very hot today my slush was gone they do not sell any beverages so I asked for water she took my cup and refilled it with warm tap water and said sorry no ice. I have filed a complaint with BBB as well just so you know you won't be feeding the public or serving people like this for much longer. Very accurate review you know what you serve and it's garbage I guess you don't remember giving me that warm water either ?? That table is right outside your restaurant so just stop lying bad service terrible food that's facts. The next response should be inviting me back for a refund then I'll take the review down but until then I want others to know the truth because you made me sick 🤢 spoiled mess you serving up 😡

Very friendly staff. Portions are incredible and most importantly the ingredients were fresh. I would have to say this is the first restaurant that my meal didn’t taste nor was heavy and greasy. My family’s favorite!

Hands down the BEST Chinese food I've ever had! I got an egg roll and their Mongolian Combination with a special dietary request to leave out the shrimp. There was a bit of a wait, as they were very busy, but the staff was very friendly, the restaurant and restrooms were clean, and, most importantly, the food was hot and fresh and everything was delicious! I hope this place is around for a long time, because they've got a customer for life! p.s. I only wish there was a dine-in option.

*Has the scent of typical Chinese flavors that you are not going to taste. Being a big back I'd like to say that I've had plenty of Chinese food in my days walking this earth and this place is honestly the worst I've ever had. Here is what I had to say about it. I ordered from this establishment on this past Valentine's day (2/14/25) for me and my husband. Was informed that the shrimp "fried" rice. Could not be used as a substitute for the white rice that came with the combo orders/ house specials. I was also told that there would be a wait, which was understandable. We ordered two of the General Tso's one with subbed shrimp "fried" rice, the other with normal white rice. Both dishes had soggy hint of General Tso's sauce, chicken tender sized pieces that weren't bite sized at all. The sauce was watery and collected at the bottom of the containers. White rice was over done, The Shrimp FRIED Rice was NOT by any means fried at all, white rice with undercooked shrimp & veggies. Fried was not in the room with us. I would like to state that the reason there are two (2) stars for service is due to the fact that upon ordering my food the woman who answered the phone was nice, and I thank her for that.

Tried this for the first time tonight. I did not know they also had a drive-thur, that is handy. The food was great and the price was a wonderful value. Very clean and friendly service. If you want a good local Chinese place then try this out!

Do not let the exterior fool you. This is some of the best Chinese Food I have had in the area! I'm not going to lie; the exterior is rough at best. But that in no way translates to the food you receive! I ordered the General Tsao's chicken lunch special. It was $4.50. I paid a small up charge to add chicken to my fried rice, and a dollar to purchase an egg roll. The lunch also comes with soup of your choice, which was Egg Drop for me. The amount of food I received for just over six dollars was ridiculous. It was enough to feed at least two people for lunch. The chicken was delicious and the breading had a good flavor. The rice had peas, carrots, and huge chucks of chicken mixed in, the egg drop soup was very good, and the huge bag of crisps to put in the soup was just right. Nothing bad to say about the food at all. The woman who took my order and gave me my food was very nice and even cracked a few jokes toward herself when she realized she forgot to give me a spoon for my soup. All in all, it was a great experience and a great lunch. I will definitely be going back to Golden City in the future!

Jenny was our waitress, super nice and informative. I ordered Beef Pepper Steak, and my friend had Curry Shrimp. Delicious I also had the Wonton Soup. Loved it. Egg Rolls were also tasty. Everything was so good right down to the last sip of my water. I will definitely be going back there. Best Chinese Restaurant I have found in over 2 years in Michigan. Thank you Jenny. Linda

Great food! We god a chicken stir fry and sweet and sour meals and it came with soooo much food! It tasted amazing and will be enough for 2 more meals. I also met the owner and she was very nice as well!!

This has been my favorite Chinese food place for multiple years now. The sesame chicken is the best I’ve had and they make the best crab Rangoon! Their fried rice has great flavor and I love that they put beansprouts in it, I ask for extra. The egg drop soup is very good. They steam their vegetables which is nice. Portions are generous, seriously, if you haven’t tried them do it! The place may not be the prettiest but they are nice people and the food is amazing! 😍♥️

The food was absolutely delicious and served hot! This was my first time trying their food. I’ll definitely be returning. I ordered the Orange Chicken and Shrimp Egg Foo Young, both of which were cooked to perfection. I also loved how thoughtfully the food was packaged. The lady who assisted me with my pickup order was incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place—it’s the best Chinese food in Flint!

I have been going to the Great Wall Restaurant since 2005 and this is my first time reviewing. Initially in 2005 it was amazing, but after I visited China in 2015, I did not enjoy the food here as much. I believe the quality went down and things were bland. However, we got this now in 2025 and I have to say things really returned back to the roots and it was good. The vegetable delight had the vegetables with some texture and crunch making that dish disappear between everyone in the group. The lo main noodles were a great texture and the sauce was well balanced. Highly recommend checking it out if you have not gone there and if you stopped going, go back. They are a great restaurant supporting Ypsilant.

I'm not quite sure what happened on Christmas Eve, but it was a terrible experience. We knew because it was Christmas Eve that they'd be busy. For that reason, we ordered at 515p. I was told it would be an hour or a little more before it was ready. No problem with that. When I went to pick up the food, the place was packed. Again, no problem. I'm glad they had the business. However, long story short, it was that crowded because people were waiting literally hours for their food. I arrived around 625p to pick up my order (which was placed at 515p) and finally left at 745p. I'm not sure if they were overwhelmed with orders or what happened, but they need to look into their process on Christmas Eve. Kudos to the cashier. She was swamped with helping folks as well as dealing with a number of impatient customers. She kept her cool and looked to be doing as good as she could in this circumstance. This is my usual go-to Chinese restaurant. But I may have to avoid it next Christmas Eve.

This place is a swing and a miss for me. I like their rice but I got food poisoning last time I ordered. I think it was the chicken broccoli, My boyfriend got food poisoning the time before that from their pork. The food was tasty enough but proceed with caution...

Ordered fried rice and was given extremely dry white rice. Also ordered general tso’s chicken but the sauce tastes like buffalo wing sauce and not general tso’s? Vegetable spring roll was decent but just didn’t taste right. Crab Rangoon was soggy and barely edible. I’m new to town and trying to find a good Chinese place but this was so disappointing.

Wow, I was shocked when I went in there, it looks like storage unit. I'm sorry I really wanted to like this place. Egg roll, I'm pretty sure it was just reheated, my husband and i had the cashew chicken. Both of us took a couple of bites and decided not to eat anymore.

The 1st time I ordered the Almond Chicken fried rice 🥦 🥕 was so good with egg roll my brother loved the sesame chicken with fried rice , and the 2nd time I ordered we had shrimp egg foo young with 🦐 fried rice which was yummy 🤤 the portions were perfect . Sending my compliments to the chef 😊

I was pleasantly surprised, carry out only. The steamed dumplings are some of the best I have eaten, amazing flavor and extremely tender. Sweet and sour chicken was fabulous, the fried rice was very good as well

Love this place , I usually stick to the same few dishes and the other day decided to scan the menu and try something different. Decided on the hot pepper chicken and never noticed they have donuts!!! Fried dough balls with sugar on them !! Both items were fantastic. I recommend to everyone get the donuts with every order !

this is probably my favorite chinese carry out in Michigan, the staples you expect are all perfectly executed. I can't wait 5o try the entire menu, but the sweet and sour is so good I find it hard to leave. I love this place, must stop if I'm passing by for a pint of sweet and sour. It just slaps so hard.

Great food! I ordered Cantonese noodles, fried rice, egg foo yound and fries wontons Everything was delicious. I will definitely eat hear again.
