The restaurant was clean and the staff was polite. I grabbed some food to go. The Singapore noodles were absolutely delicious! Flavors were on point, and there was a nice kick. I also really liked the flavors of the chicken wings. I usually don't review wings when I get them to go, but the flavors held up perfectly. The egg roll was perfect! The hot and sour soup was solid. Could use a dash of sesame oil. I would have given a five, but the teriyaki was very tough. It was a very thick cut of meat. You really needed a knife and fork to eat it. It also had just a sweet flavor to it. I know that it's a fusion restaurant. However, it would have been nice to see lobster sauce on the menu. That is a staple in Massachusetts. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely go back.
Lilac House
Ordered chicken and vegetables. No flavor was in a white sauce which was heavy on lard. Well that’s how my mouth feels 😞. I haven’t been here in years and the food was good but what a disappointment. I will not return. The chicken fingers were not fresh. Plus no smiles from the hostess. Should have seen that as a red flag. Wish I could have given a better review.
This is our go to in the area. I’m not sure if there’s new management or not this last few years or so, but something happened and now the food is magical. There’s a small indoor eating area, but I’ve observed maybe a handful of folks use it in the last 5 years or so. I have seen 10 simultaneous pick up orders crowd the front desk though.
Medway Lotus Restaurant
Great service and quick, but the food wasn't even remotely close to my expectations. I ordered the scallion pancakes, and these were somewhat ok to eat. The chicken fingers, I sent back cause it smelled like it was cooked in engine oil. The chef's special spicy chicken tasted nothing like the description. It was sour and greasy topped with stale peanuts! The scorpion bowl was OK. Maybe, one can go here for the drinks but certainly the food could be much better or maybe I ordered the unpopular dishes. I'm visiting from California, so maybe my expectations were high. I can't tell for sure. I couldn't finish eating any of the food that I had ordered. The common trend I have observed is that the restaurants with too many items on the menu struggle to keep up with the quality of food. I hope the owner understands such reviews to improve the quality of the restaurant. No disrespect intended to anyone!
Very disappointed with eating here. The food was not up to standard i am use to. The spicy tofu comes with pork even though its under vegetable and not listed. It also doesnt come with white rice that is another charge. It also has no spice . Everything was liquid. I got sick after eating the food so i cant recommend
Wild Blossom
I have always had great consistent food here. Small modern, casual Chinese and Japanese restaurant. Staff is always very friendly and you get service with a smile. I always start with their Hot and Sour Soup! They use a thick old school recipe that hits you with complex flavors, plenty of fillers like wood ear mushrooms, golden needle, pork and all the good stuff. It finishes with a strong kick that will clear your sinuses. Their Spareribs on the Bone are some of the best around. Definitely one of my favorites. Their Shrimp with Lobster Sauce has a delicious flavor to it. It has a little sweetness complemented with black beans. They switched to the smaller shrimp. I actually like this because you get one in every bite. Like a famous chocolate chip cookie. The shrimp are cooked perfectly are not rubbery at all. Love this dish! Wings are crispy and juicy! Beef Teriyaki is delicious! The Egg Rolls have a really nice flavor. The ingredients could be chopped a little finer. Their sushi is delicious! Today my daughter had a Sushi Taco! Very yummy! There's also conveniently an ice cream shop right next door if you have any room left. Highly recommend eating here!
We were bored/unhappy with the Chinese restaurants closer to home and the almost hidden village of Islington isn't that far away, you just have to look for it. The food was a cut above most places. The hot and sour soup was okay and the miso soup was good (helps if you like the generous amount of seaweed). The crisp-fried angel hair was first rate. The chicken with cashews had a lot of vegetables, mostly sweet peppers, alongside sliced (not diced) chicken and a modest amount of nuts, in a brown sauce. It was excellent both in the restaurant and a day later as a leftover. Thumbs up.
Sunrise House
The food was hot, ready, and delicious. The customer service was fantastic. And Miss Jaime was very sweet and patient. Definitely coming back when I travel back north.
Really good Chinese food authentic Cantonese style food
Mr. Chef's Restaurant
I wasn’t impressed with the food here. I ordered the Pupu plater but I thought it was too greasy. The oil seems old like they never changed the oil from the night before. The chicken wings was dark meat which I thought was strange. The rice I ordered was good and the beef teriyaki but that was about it. A friend recommended this place but when we ate the food she knew she made a mistake by recommending Mr Chef.
Ok spot food was really just ok the shrimp tempura roll was gd the beef lo mein was good but brought out way before the pupu platter so was so cold by the time the meat came out drinks were just ok wouldn’t come again the young lady served was very nice
Ming Du Restaurant
Place definitely needs to be updated as far as benches blinds were so dusty lo mein was delicious n flavorful service was great too
Ming Du is one of those restaurants you walk in and just feel comfortable. The owner is very friendly with an infectious smile. The staff are all extremely friendly. Plenty of parking. Seats are comfortable, decor gives it that old school feeling. We started with the hot and sour soup. They do a great job with this. You can tell they put their heart into this. It has those complex flavors created by vinegar, whine and white pepper to give it a perfect kick. Absolutely delicious! The PuPu platter had a strong showing. The beef teriyaki was marinated perfectly and very tender. The fingers and shrimp were breaded perfectly with a nice crunch while the protein wasn't overcooked. Crab rangoons were creamy with a slight hint of sweetness. They were really good. Wings were really good right out of the kitchen. Overall the appetizers were really good! Thier pork fried rice (I get it without onions) was spot on, very good! Orange crispy beef will make you want to come back for more. To truly enjoy any crispy dish I always suggest eating in. This was great! Kung Pao chicken was cooked just right. Absolutely delicious! This a great place for Chinese food. Their prices are lower than most of the places I go. The also offer small and large sizes on a lot of their items including entrées. And they have a great selection of combo's! Check the out!
Cathay Kitchen
Delicious hot tasty food! The best Chinese food we’ve tasted it in quite some time . Reasonably price, and super friendly! We will definitely be ordering from here again our new favorite Chinese food place! Fast delivery too! Delicious!! -5 stars!!!
This is exactly what you want and expect from a Chinese takeout place. The food was hot and fresh with the perfect blend of salty, sweet, and fatty flavor notes. The quality of the chicken was excellent (white meat, not fatty). The guy working behind the counter was extremely friendly when I went to pick up the food. I will be coming back!
Mandarin Cuisine
“Good vibes” We have been coming here for years . Today was just special it being Valentine’s Day . The food is delicious and tastes fresh . I really enjoyed my time here . The waiter was so nice and attentive. It wasn’t too crowded on Valentine’s Day before 5:00 pm. I am sure it will get more crowded later . The food is just too good for it not too . The prices are reasonable for the quality and food portions. They have a big parking lot so parking should not be an issue.
This was like stepping into a 70's Chinese food restaurant. The decor alone is worth the trip. The appetizers were solid, especially the teriyaki. I also enjoyed the shrimp with lobster sauce. If you are looking to go to an old school Chinese restaurant with a very relaxing atmosphere, this is the place.
Westwood Jade Restaurant
Upon search for a Chinese restaurant in the area. We found Westwood Jade in Westwood, Ma. We ordered, it was good food, price and service. Everything was very good. The Pork fried rice how I like it with eggs well cooked with (no hard grains), chicken wings were nice and soft not extra crispy, ribs were not chewy and not hard just perfect, chicken lo main was nice and saucy and not sweet which I loved, not dry, loaded with chicken, cabbage was nice and crisp and onions just the right amount very tasty, and crab Rangoon were crispy, warm and the filling was perfect. They gave us plates, forks, spoons, napkins, sauces, fortune cookies and hot sauce. 10/10 Thank you we enjoyed your service! God Bless.
Purchase through Uber Eats, food was old rice tasted burnt. Chicken fingers was refried over plenty of times the flavor was off and the lobster sauce was slimey. Needless to say it went in the trash. Waste of money .
Wah Sing Chinese & Polynesian Cuisine
I have been ordering from here for many years. The husband and wife owners are very friendly. Sometimes a little hard to understand, but friendly. Mostly takeout but they do hae a dozen booths. I give them a 4 because they have one of the best Egg Rolls in the state. Generally their appetizers are really good. Great Beef Teriyaki, Crab Rangoon's, Chicken Wings, Boneless Spareribs, Peking Ravioli's, Pork Strips and their Hot and Sour Soup. Their entrées can be hit or miss. I usually add my own spices to get it where I want. The Egg Roll alone is worth stopping in.
First time orders were pretty tasty. Ingredients seemed fresh, not too greasy, and I felt full. But of course I was really hungry too, so may have biased me a bit. But price is awesome for what you get and compared to others in the area and towns. We will have to try this place again. Like other reviewers, the place can use redecorating. But if that will increase the price, I don’t mind the retro look for good food. It does look relatively clean and I agree that if it looked more clean, more people would recommend the place and not say “it’s a dump, but go for the food”. Not sure if it resent my changed ownership but some of said it isn’t as good as it use to be. But we’ll give it a few more tries to see if it’s consistent. For service, it was take out, the host could be more friendly and polite.
Bamboo Express
We just moved to the area in August from Washington state and this is the best Chinese food we've had in a long time. It's my picky kids new favorite. This was my 2nd time ordering and my kids love their beef teriyaki and chow mein. Best ragoon I've ever had. The people working here are awesome. The guy who has delivered both times is awesome and really polite and nice. My driveway is hard to get in and my house is hard to find and he brings us our food hot each time. This is our new family favorite for days I don't want to cook or we are just to busy. Last time we had egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken and they were great too.
First time I had food from there, my partner had ordered us some. I had House Rice and she had ordered beef rice noodles, and had some chicken teriyaki. And I thought it was really delicious! I loved how the rice looked, it wasn't dark like others, had a nice light color to it, and the meat was so tender then anywhere I had it from. I recommend! My partner and I had said the next day the next day the food leftover is better!!.
