Had been to old bridge and had to choose a Chinese restaurant.. google said 3.8 ⭐️ for wife’s kitchen and I wanted to Try it . It was Chinese new year today and not many Chinese restaurants were open but wifes kitchen was open . Nice place with lots of seats to sit and eat . Ordered for take out . Order was ready less than 10 mins . Nice and quick service . And price wise not that expensive, compared with many other restaurants. General Tsos tofu was awesomeeee.. tasted really good .. kung Pao was ok . Not at all spicy and very bland . Lots and lots of vegetables and less 🐔 .. tasted good though. Overall a good experience 👍👏👏

This restaurant is a new addition to the plaza, and we were curious to try it out. The owners also run Wu's Fish House next door, and they share the same kitchen. We ordered crab roe soup dumpling buns and crab roe tofu over rice. While waiting, we were given appetizers: peanuts, pickled radishes, and marinated cloud ears, with the latter standing out the most. After a lengthy wait, I asked about our order, and the waitress apologized, explaining they had limited cooks. We finally received the crab roe tofu over rice, which my husband and I shared. The flavor was delicious, but the mushy rice was disappointing. It was also puzzling that our appetizers were served after our main entree. We waited a while, sipping on $3 tea, before the waitress brought out the soup dumplings. The dumplings were very good, with on-point flavor. I recommend not using the fish sauce, as it disrupts the delicate taste. The skin was thicker than expected, but the dumplings were still sublime. Although the restaurant offers more than just crab roe dishes, we focused on these for our first visit. We were quite happy with our selections. Here are our ratings: - Crab roe soup buns: 4/5 stars - Crab roe tofu over rice: 4/5 stars - Service: 3.5/5 stars - Atmosphere: 3.5/5 stars Overall, we give this place 4/5 stars and plan to revisit to try other dishes.

What we ordered: Crab roe soup buns Crab roe over rice Crab roe over noodles Crab roe & pork pan-fried buns Scallion oil noodles (tastes like lo mein or pansit canton) Side dishes are free with unlimited refills, including mushrooms, radish, nuts, and sauce. We visited on a Sunday with a party of four and were seated immediately. The service was excellent—there was a slight language barrier, but it didn’t hinder the overall experience. All in all what we loved and will recommend: Drinks - Passionfruit lemonade soda Crab roe & pork pan-fried bun CRAB ROE SOUP BUNS 👌🏼

Xi-An Flavor 0

Xi-An Flavor

This is a mom and pop restaurant serving Xi’An cuisine. The exterior signage can’t be any bigger: with 4 big Chinese characters covering the entirety of each of the 4 glass panels. The interior is ad hoc at best. But the packing boxes piling up right besides the entrance is totally uncalled for. The lady owner greeted us and immediately advertised their presumably signature dishes: Steamed Cold Noodles (Liangpi 涼皮) $8.99 and Chinese Hamburgers (肉莢膜) $4.99. I normally don’t take recommendations because I am afraid they might be the leftovers restaurants want to get rid of fast, but I relented this time. I only had Liangpi once in my life and I really wanted some verification. And I’ve had their Chinese Hamburgers before and I knew they were decent. In addition, we added Beef with Spicy Green Pepper Over Rice $12.99 which was only advertised on the wall, nowhere to be found on the menu; and the Shrimp Fried Noodle $11.99. Liangpi: It’s unique, not easy to make, tastes good and refreshing. Vegetarian. Chinese Hamburger: A safe choice that can please everyone. Beef with Spicy Green Peppers: Good portion, addictive and most satisfying. Shrimp Fries Noodle: Forgettable. Not much different from a Chinese takeout anywhere in the US. One last thing: bring lots of cash! Even though they do take credit cards, they levy hefty surcharges and the lady owner wouldn’t be happy either. She reminded me 3 times but I simply didn’t carry enough cash.

If you order the wide noodles they will give you the round noodles. This happened twice. I am craving wide noodles so much now. Ordered biang-bing noodles and beef flat noodle. If you don’t have the noodles, tell your customer, don’t lie to them. When I called to tell them they laughed at me. I was in shock. Won’t order from here again.

Very disappointed! Found a bug in my food and was offered either another rice or refund on my rice. No other concessions offered. Completely lost my appetite, cannot finish meal.

The worst Chinese food I have ever had. Literally, go anywhere else but here. Hot and sour soup was decent but the General Tso’s Chicken was awful. No broccoli, sauce was way too salty and the “fried rice” looked like it came out of a bag. No vegetables of any kind in it. And the “pork” in the “pork fried rice” wasn’t roast pork, it was the processed pork bits you find in egg rolls.

QuickChek 0

Decent Quick Chek. Ordered a sandwich here and they forgot to put the Avocado I paid extra for. Also poured coffee and it was cold. Not a terrible Quick Chek location but will need to check my orders next time before I get home and realize. Otherwise, my other visits have been okay. They have a lottery machine so you don't need to bother with the line if you just need to buy your single Billion Dollar Mega Million ticket.

Staff is always courtesy and helpful. Prices are lower than the 7-Eleven accross the street. Convenience as you can eat Chinese food, get something in bakery store and even pizza in the same location, only few steps away.

20 years since I graduated and this place still has the best Chinese food. My favorites (pictured) are the beef with eggplant in garlic sauce and the Macao spicy chicken

Decent Chinese food for the RU-NB area. Usually get the shrimp wonton soup and the eggplant chicken dish. I get bubble tea here on occasion too if I don't feel like walking further down Easton Ave. The food is cheap and the portion size is quite good for the price. Tamp down your expectations and you will be happy with your meal.

Golden Bowl Restaurant 0

Golden Bowl Restaurant

I know some people may disagree but, I have had extremely positive experiences and I do empathize experiences with Golden Bowl for years now. I really like the food. The service as long as you don’t come too close to closing time is pretty respectable. The portions are pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. In my opinion, it’s an excellent experience. Please remember, it’s a take out joint not a restaurant. But, generally speaking, I don’t think you will be disappointed and the food really is good normally. They are consistently busy too and they’ve been open for years which, is always a good sign.

This place has been inconsistent for years, but it's never been quite so bad as it is now. It all depends on the particular cooks they have in the back - the difference quite literally between a surprisingly four star meal and inedible slop. There is also a glaring discrepancy with their hours, which causes drama when you go to pick up late. If you google the restaurant, the place is open until 10:30. But if you arrive later than 10:15, they look at you like they want to murder you. Apparently, though there isn't another business like it in town, and they don't tell you this anywhere but in person, this place closes fifteen minutes early, and if you don't heed this, you are the devil. I don't know what happens after 10:15, perhaps the staff turn into werewolves and terrorize the night. Tonight was the last time I'll give them money. The food wasn't bad, but the attitude was almost threatening. I've been a customer for years, filled their register with cash, and the thanks I get is to be yelled at over a few minutes "lateness". They turned the lights out on me as I walked out of the restaurant. The angry, bald owner glared at me, then cleared his throat as I passed him, as though to spit upon me - all over an order of chicken wings and fried rice. From the looks of the other reviews I've seen recently, I'm not the only one. We're going into the summer; this is the lean time without all the college kids ordering online, keeping them afloat. Hopefully they will finally give up, sell, and move out of town. Few will miss them.

Local American Chinese. The inside of the location is dingy and filthy. The food is the only reason I continue to go back, and honestly its a debate. Really very dirty. Concerning for your safety level dirty. But the food is always fantastic. Employees mostly just stare at you when you go inside to order your food.

Food was fantastic, best Chinese i have had in a long long time, the woman at pick-up was very very rude, the bag also did not have any sauces in it, very strange?

The food is 4 stars as a hotel restaurant. Food was just ok ... some good, some mediocre. I was staying next door at the Residence Inn so this was really the only place that was within a short/medium walk. I went a second time without hesitation. The third night i didnt really want to, but wanted to drive even less. App portions were huge. Calamari was ok. Bbq chicken wings were great, sweet chili wings were not good. Quesadilla was really good (super greasy from all the cheese) Chicken sandwich was really good. Chicken Caesar was good but a bit too much dressing. Creme brule was very disappointing. Had low expectations for a hotel resto ... it beat them, but only by a little.

Arrived for a quick stay. Meeting I’m the area. Drove for hours to get here, so was not up to driving somewhere to go eat. Restaurant located at the Hilton Brunswick. Very quiet for a Friday night. Server was attentive and friendly. Plenty of available seating. There was even bar side seating available if you wanted to catch a game on the large screen TVs. Menu is limited. Looks like it changes from time to time. I ordered a César Salad. Finished it before getting a chance to take a photo. It was good. Main entree was the Shrimp Linguini. It had just the right amount of spicy kick I love. No room for dessert, but they did have selections I would ordinarily order. Closed the tab with a to go cub of coffee. Had to loose the lid, as it appears that person who prepared the coffee left their scent on the lid. Coffee was good. Overall, prices are a bit steep for the type of food. Although the food was good, they fees appear as high end. This place is more of a mid range location, and rates on the high end of a restaurant in that rating.

Panda Express 0

First panda express around the area and we were ecstatic that it finally opened. Love how none of the food is made with msg! It really makes a difference in how you feel afterwards. The lo mean is simple and noodle texture is chewy. It could use a little bit more flavor overall though. The honey sesame chicken was very good. Not too sweet and still crunchy. The mushroom chicken was a bit too salty but paired nicely with the fried rice. But if eating on its own, way too salty. The original chicken is what they are known for, great flavor, juicy chicken, and perfect with rice. Interior was very clean and staff are very friendly. There is a drink dispenser at the back so you can get continued refills. Overall, great place to get a quick meal.

Came here on a Friday night and this place was busy. Great atmosphere and friendly service. We got the 2 entrees with side and food was great. Definitely will come here try other items. Welcome to North Brunswick! FYI they have a Rewards program and if you download the app you can earn points and rewards.

Was passing through heading to Princeton NJ and spotted this restaurant on the way. Food was great and everyone was friendly with smiles. Of course another place where I could not stop myself from eating and I lived every minute. Please come by and enjoy their foods. Super yummy

At first when you walked in, it seems to be a good place, lots of food options from cold to hot to desserts. However, closer look and taste, it was disappointing. Foods, especially seafood, wasn’t fresh. I took a bit of the steamed fish and it tasted not fresh. I didn’t dare to try the sushi as they seemed to have sat there for hours. The only items that were ok are string beans and duck. Price is decent if the food is good. I went in weekday dinner time.
