Tin Drum Asian Kitchen & Boba Tea Bar - Decatur, GA
Had delivered through Uber eats . Food quality was piss poor. I had general tsos stir fry with a bed of spinach, grilled chicken, and tofu. I received 2 little spinach leaves. There was a half decent amount of soggy chicken and wet tofu that I paid extra for. The fire cracker cauliflower was the biggest bunch of BS in a to-go box. The pictures are a catfish, tinder swindler. The only good thing was the miso soup with tofu. Though it has 2 fat blocks of tofu it would be great to half some chopped. I cut the audio to save from foul language. Check the pics. Buyer beware.
I called on the phone and asked for Chai tea boba and I spelled it for him so he didn’t get confused with Thai tea and guess what I got THAI TEA plus their miso ramen is supposed to have potstickers and soy ramen but my potstickers were missing and my egg just just a normal hard boiled egg???? Also the spinach was just thrown there like what’s going on?? The miso is usually my go to and the spinach is always blanched???? When I went to pick up the food I saw my drink was clearly not what I ordered and I told the cashier and she just looked at me like I was crazy but I was already running late for work so I walked out with the wrong order and I would’ve let it go if it was just the drink that was wrong but it’s the food too like I’m so done with the place!!! Y’all need to refund me or something
Chinese Dhaba
Exceeded expectations! I am a picky eater when it comes to curry and the lovely lady at the counter helped me find some thing on the menu that would be a good fit for me . Not only did I get curry, but I got curry fried rice. I did not even know that was a thing! The food is fantastic, and the portions are generous :)
The service is relatively quick, not taking more than 15-25 minutes from ordering to picking up. The portion sizes are generous, one fried rice being able to feed almost 2 people! Would recommend.
Good Taste Restaurant
So I come here often. I get the singapore mei fun with garlic sauce no shrimp. Chicken wings , white rice , beef and broccoli in spicy garlic sauce .. EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The service is superb. I can appreciate they work as a family.
I don’t understand what the fuss is all about with the low ratings. I experienced the opposite. I went during lunch time and didn’t call in the order or place one online, just to see what issues were there with service. I went during lunch rush around 12pm. I arrived along with my coworker. Look through the menu and placed my order with tbe lady working the counter. I didn’t get any sass or rudeness, she even asked us if we were together or separate, I told them separate. Even took my request to make the General Tso’s chicken crispier with no issues. My coworker ordered beef and broccoli. I noticed that there was a $10 minimum for credit card, so I just told my coworker, I got it, and told the lady to charge them together, even though we originally said that we were separate, without any issue. Got our food, brought it back to work and ate it. Food was fine, I finished it, if it wasn’t good, I don’t finish it. The General Tso’s chicken was a bit heavy with the soy sauce because of the saltiness and was light on the sugar which is suppose to thicken the sauce into a glaze and even out the saltiness, but wasn’t much issue for me to finish my lunch. I got hot and sour soup with my lunch combo and I have to say, is better than most places that I’ve had it at with the perfect amount of tofu, mushrooms and bamboo shoots without it overwhelming the soup. I would take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. I don’t go to a Chinese take out for hospitality and to exchange pleasantries like a higher end restaurant which cost more. I go to a Chinese take out because it’s quick, efficient and satisfying. I can’t wait to go back to try the other dishes. I would also like to add that this is actually one of the better quality Chinese take out joints. The other place would the be the casual sit down dining Chinese Restaurant right off 17 North by the Kohl’s and Five Guys called Look See.
Chiangmai Thai Restaurant
I think they were short staffed on the Friday I attended. It took about 45 minutes to order. There was a table of two women that had already ordered. As well as another table, but I'm not sure if they ordered yet. There were customers doing takeout that assured us that the business is not usually behind like this. Now to the food. Once we ordered, our appetizers and entrees came out quickly. The dishes were delectable. 10/10. BYOB. The mango fried rice, mango & sticky rice, appetizers, and spicy basil fried rice were our favorites. We went on June 14th. Today is June 20th, and we are still talking about the food. Street parking available.
Honestly great flavor to everything the shrimp in a blanket was amazing. I had curry with crispy duck. My daughter had the pad see-ew. I'd also like to mention the owners are not only friendly but gracious. They are a wonderful example of a family owned restaurant. Highly recommend coming here.
Macao Trading Company
Came here on an early Friday evening with no reservations. Hostess sat us quickly. Within an hour the restaurant was packed. It looked like a nice ambience for date night. We just ordered a few apps. The glass noodles had lots of flavor. Waitress was nice and friendly.
Such a fun romantic place to go for a date night! Good: - The lobster noodles were amazing! I was blown away since the noodles were so tasty and chewy and also the sauce had so much flavor The lobster meat was tender and savory - The dessert was so good the donuts were flakey and chewy and adding on the condensed milk was nice - Very solid ambiance, dimly lit and private booths to eat Bad: - The place is pretty expensive! - Took a long time to flag down waiters and get them to take our orders - nice servers though Overall enjoyed the experience here and would come again! I liked he decorations mostly and the way it crafted an experience
