Excellent hidden Chinese restaurant with reasonable prices for lunch specials. Lot of choices and lunch specials for under $10 is everyday even on weekends Updated: went back 9.months later. Still excellent food and service. tried the sesame chicken special Give them a try , you will not be disappointed

The young lady taking orders was an absolute delight, she was bubbly , polite and efficient. It is a pretty standard strip mall type place and I actually love those kinds of restaurants for Chinese carryout. You know what you're getting there's not a lot of pretense it's good basic Americanized Chinese food. They made Hunan beef for me as it isn't normally on the combination dinner menu. This is a nice place if I was a local I'd probably go hear more often than not. It is a little pricier than some Chinese carryout in other cities. The area is called Ocean pines and I saw a lot of nice cars. They are correctly in a capitalist Society charging what the market will bear that's all good.

The sign said they open at 11, I got here at 10:30 and they still served me with NO ISSUES. They prices were VERY GOOD! The lunch special comes with your choice of an egg roll or soup. All for under 9$. They also give a NICE portion. Food was very fresh and tasted AMAZING! I highly recommend this place!

Fairly priced & consistent Chinese food across the board. Any & every time I order something from this restaurant, the food is always consistent & tastes great. Their highlight is takeout, but you can also eat inside if you wish, although the atmosphere is rather small & underwhelming. Regardless, if you want/need no frills Chinese takeout, this should be an option.

Beautiful atmosphere. It is very easy to locate and access in and out is very simple. Located in the Outlets so there is plenty of parking. For those who aren’t aware “Asian” cuisine consists of everything from the Continent so the menu has many sections/options to choose from. The Avacado roll was very good. The drunken noodles were not my favorite but not due to anything they had done. I would definitely recommend that you dine here. Two people having appetizers, a soft drink and a Prosecco with meals was a bit over $50.

When here for lunch everything was fresh and made to order. Was pretty good General Tao chicken. My beef did was ok. Soup was tasty. I’d say try it at least once.

Happy Chinese Restaurant 0

Happy Chinese Restaurant

Happy Chinese Restaurant is the ONLY place my Husband and I go to for Chinese food in a 25 mile radius of Ocean City! The food here is AMAZING! We eat here constantly and buy so many different things from the Moo Goo Gai Pan (I add shrimp 🍤 to it…so GREAT!) to Chicken or Beef with Broccoli to Shrimp with Lobster Sauce to the large meals of Triple Crown or Happy Family. WE LOVE IT ALL! We ALWAYS ORDER 2 QUARTS OF PORK FRIED RICE AS IT IS SO FREAKING DELICIOUS my husband and I get our own quarts to have with dinner and leftovers for the next couple days! I especially love that Happy Family easily works with me to add shrimp to a meal or extra chicken so I can get my protein in the way I want. I personally LOVE everything except the Egg Rolls, but my Husband Absolutely LOVES The Egg Rolls! Do NOT go by me with them though as I’m not a big cabbage fan..the main ingredient in an Egg Roll. lol If they put more pork crumbles throughout it though I would eat them in a heartbeat and probably order 2 or 3 at a time! If you haven’t eaten here before don’t hesitate to try it, not only is the food GREAT, but so is the staff!

Not too bad. It's OK. Their general tofu (bean curd) seems good, not the best. The sauce tasted more of sweet and sour sauce and less like general tso. The broccoli and brown sauce was OK. The vegetable fried rice was pretty good. The vegetable spring rolls were overly salty and overly greasy, I wasn't a fan honestly. You order food through a custom window of their front door. Not a bad idea. Obviously you can't go into the restaurant right now, so there's no restrooms or dining in. This place is located in a small plaza and 2 doors down is the food lion grocery store.

Best general tso chicken I've had in a long time! Food was hot with fresh veggies. Had a nice kick to it, didn't even have to ask for "extra spicy".

We ordered plain lo mein, shrimp fried rice, shrimp egg foo young and Chinese veggies mix. All were very well made, not too salty as some restaurants tend to make them as. I’d definitely go back. The only thing was uninvited guests (flies) around our table.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I ordered from Hong’s Taste for my Chinese neighbors, and they absolutely loved it! The flavors were authentic, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The portions were generous, and the presentation was spot on. It’s not easy to impress my neighbors when it comes to Chinese food, but Hong’s Taste exceeded expectations. The service was smooth and timely, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious Chinese cuisine!

This place checks all the boxes for me. It's delicious, fast, and very inexpensive. This is not really a place to dine in--order your food for pickup, and enjoy the amazing food in the comfort of your own home. The portion sizes are quite large. My wife and I always order the dinner for two, and it's enough to feed us both TWICE for just over $20. It used to be called Bruce Lee II (and we still call it that for nostalgia).

Little Phoenix 0

11 brave seniors from Brightview Rolling Hills in Catonsville boarded the bus and enjoyed lunch at Little Phoenix. As a first time customer here in Maryland, I only had time to read the reviews before getting on the road. I read that portions were very abundant and I have to agree wholeheartedly! Also the flavors are amazing and you can adjust the spices to your own individual taste. Service was flawless, soups were hot as well as sides and entrees. There is a 20% tip included but I gave a bit more because the hostess was so efficient in getting the food out so smoothly and rang us up after insuring that we all had takeaway boxes with bags to carry them home.

Let me start off by saying I usually really enjoy the food here but yesterday was horrible. I placed an order online for Shrimp and broccoli, seasame chicken (white meat) and chicken fried rice and 4 spring rolls, all for $54 ($1 up charge for white meat). When I arrived the food was ready but the lady at the front stated that when I chose “white meat” I apparently selected it under my shrimp and broccoli entree and not the sesame chicken one, so she said they didn’t make it white meat. I thought to myself “common sense would know that was for the chicken since you can’t choose white or dark for shrimp) but I said okay because I didn’t feel like arguing about it (also forgot I paid the extra money for the white meat option). My boyfriend doesn’t eat dark meat so he went back in with the food and had them remake it, he said they did try to make him just take the food and said they would give the $1 back but he wanted them to remake it and so they did. So I find it ironic that the entree we had them remake was the one with the worm in it. This is disgusting! I almost feel like it was done on purpose . And we ate all of the fried rice and spring rolls just to find a worm or maggot in the food 🤮 I will not be eating here again.

I grew up in this area and recently moved back nearby, so getting to walk just 6 minutes to Mama Wok for dinner was a nostalgic treat—I hadn’t been back in over 10 years. The restaurant has been renovated and now feels much more open and modern. They’ve really focused their menu around Chinese cuisine, offering a great variety of dishes we typically love, like roasted duck, steamed dumplings, Fei Teng fish fillet, three cups chicken, and hot chili sauce beef. We started with the black fungus mushroom garlic cucumber appetizer, which was cool, refreshing, and full of flavor. Then we shared the Szechuan-style dry hot pot, loaded with shrimp, fish balls, sliced meat, and lotus root. It was bold, spicy, and packed with texture. We also tried the eggplant dish, which was absolutely delicious—tender and richly sauced. The food felt authentic and satisfying, and they also have familiar classics like spring rolls and Kung Pao chicken for those who may not want something super spicy or traditional. Service was friendly and attentive, and there’s plenty of free parking out front. One thing I did wish for: a drink menu. I would’ve loved a cold beer or a glass of Chardonnay while waiting for my friend. Mains start around $18.95, so it’s on the pricier side for Chinese food—we spent about $35 per person without drinks. That said, the food and convenience make it worthwhile. I’d definitely come back to explore more of the menu, especially while I’m still walking distance. We’re moving closer to Potomac in the next couple months, so I’ll be taking full advantage of being able to pop in for a Thursday night dinner with friends while I still can.

My family and I have been dining at this restaurant for at least 25 Years. With the ever-changing selection in the area of Chinese restaurants, it’s nice to know that there is one that has stood the test of time. They are very accommodating to order requests, and the food is good. Front staff is friendly and helpful. I only give it four stars as far as atmosphere because it looks nice but we really never eat inside the restaurant, it’s just too difficult with kids. Definitely would recommend for a quick stop or a good family dinner.

Nice little spot with super friendly service and delicious homemade dumplings and noodles. I got to try some Chinese beer for the first time (Tsingtao) as well and it was perfect with my food. I could not recommend this place more! 🤤🤤🤤 EDIT: here for a second time and the food is just as good. Eventually, I'll try something different, but for right now the homemade noodles and dumplings hiiiiit 🤤💖 I highly recommend the pan-fried veggie dumplings. They use a sort of mulled veggie mixture inside that is absolutely delicious.

Good food the appetizers can be done better. The server was good and did serve late as well. Do try their mains great options and flavor. The spicy sauce is done well.

Finger lickin' good! I've been eating my way through Baltimore looking for GOOD Chinese food. Seriously, this is stop 11 or 12. Finally the hunt is over. Look, they give steamed dumplings WITH so much sauce they can swim laps. Plus, they're larger than usual and jam-packed with filling. I only tasted the spareribs, but they're so flavorful, big, and covered in BBQ. This place is so good, I'm currently eating and writing this review at the same time.

The food is good The Fried chicken, half and half and shrimp fried Rice and Shrimp Egg rolls are so Tasty I just tried the shrimp yat main extra shrimp it was delicious and flavorful the best Chinese that nearest to me me and my husband purchase from them often. I recommend it.

Did takeout and would definitely say it’s not our favorite Chinese place we’ve ever been to. I’ll start with the positives and say the egg drop soup, gyozas, taro bubble tea, and the steamed veggies were great! But our actual main proteins (chicken teriyaki and sesame chicken) were tough, sauces were too mild to really distinguish a flavor, and way over done. We appreciate the good portion sizes, but would rather just have good tasting main dishes in smaller sizes…

So glad we found this place! Ordering online was easy. Quick service. The crab ragoons were delicious! Shrimp lo mein was also very good - had a TON of shrimp. Large portions. I ordered a large and it was enough to split with someone. Excited to come back and try more things! I’ve heard their drunken noodles are really good. Lots of parking available. Must try!

This is a relatively small location with limited seating, so don't come expecting large seating accommodations. As I sit here and count, seating only is for 18 total, but the food is great! Some take out Chinese restaurants have the usual food that we're used to, but some have dishes that it seems they 'specialize' in. I had the shrimp with lobster sauce and pork fried rice, and it tasted better than the average dish from other Chinese restaurants. Also, the lady who took my order was very polite and pleasant and she made a little provision for me, for which I am grateful.

Food quality has gone down hill, we order Chinese about twice a month from Hot Wok. I get the same thing every time and every time it has a different taste and presentation. Fried rice had no flavor and my General Tso was soggy, no flavor and not spicy. Their delivery driver was also rude, since I paid online he/she just sat the food in-front of my door and drove off. Didn’t ring the doorbell or anything.
