New Great Wall 新長城
I've been living in Maine for almost 2 years and ended up here today thinking I was going to another restaurant, but I'm happy we made the mistake because I will make this place part of my rotation! The food is excellent, and the portions are plenty- the flavor is what I've been craving for many years. I'm happy I found it again! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
Been going there for almost 20 years. I just remembered the rice being phenomenal so went again 6-7 years ago to discover that the food was just as great as I remembered. Ever since then, I take the 30 minute drive to this one and only place every time I'm craving Chinese. Probably because it's the same 2 people behind the counter since I first went, but the food is always the same quality. Some people in these reviews have complained about the lady yelling but I think she's just trying to speak clearly (their first language is definitely Mandarin) And I'm 100% confident she doesn't mean any rudeness by it as I've had many interactions with the lady and she's always spoken that way, even with a smile on her face. The husband and her are phenomenal cooks and have their recipes down pact, I can heat up the meal the next day and it taste Just as good, and even when cold, the food is great the next day. They would probably know me by the guy that always orders 3-4 orders of chicken fingers every order along with the lo mein, gen chicken, pork rice and spring rolls. Seriously, every item I listed is the best I've ever had at any restaurant (and I've been up and down the east coast at many Chinese places from Maine, Boston, New York, to South Carolina, hey I like Chinese 🤷)
Lotus Blossom
Absolute best place for Sweet ‘n Sour Chicken! Glad when they were bought by someone a long time ago, they kept their same recipe! Same Sweet ‘n Sour Chicken for 25+ years! Always had this when I was a kid! It’s the sauce that’s the secret 🤫 Still on the Lunch Special! Imo, the best Fried Rice too!!!
My husband and I had a recent Date Night here and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We have been looking for a Chinese place to go for awhile now and I can say for sure we found what we have been looking for. The price is very reasonable and the portions are amazing. And we ordered non alcoholic drinks that we the best I have ever had. My husband is getting ready to celebrate 2 years of Sobriety so these were a perfect choice. I had the alcohol free strawberry daiquiri and my husband ordered the alcohol free Pina colada and he said alcohol would have ruined the taste it was so good. We're going to have to plan another date night soon.
Legend Asian Restaurant
Went in between lunch and supper and was the only customer until about 20 minutes into the visit. Food took a bit to come out but it was presented nicely and was hot and delicious. Well worth the time and the price, enough for 2+ meals for me. Crab Rangoon were just the right amount of crispy. I tried the mango Boba tea. Boba was bitter at first (strong tea flavor) and quite chewy, more mild and soft after sitting a bit in the tea. A little different than expected but mango tea was flavored nicely.
First time experience, and lots of interesting things. The restaurant really emphasizes its Chinese culture with its decorative interior, but I was surprised to find that soy sauce and salt weren’t already on the table. The bathrooms were filthy, so I would strongly suggest you don’t use it. But the food was amazing, so I would recommend takeout which seems to be the to-go method for others. We were the only ones in there at 7pm😂
Golden China Restaurant
Food lacks flavor. Not the best and not the worst. I didn't care for their crab Rangoon. Their boneless sparerib with pork fried rice was alright. I would come back but probably would try something else. Also, a different night I tried to place an order prior to 8:30 knowing that they close at 9pm. The line was busy the whole time I tried to call. Update: I went to order something today 4/2/25 and they messed up my order. I asked for white rice and they gave me pork fried rice with onions. I don't even like onions. Didn't realized until I got home that they messed up the order.
Rude when taking order over the phone. Do not pay with debit card. Pay with cash only because they will give you a receipt for one amount and then charge your debit card for more because they include tip of their choice. When you question them all they say is call your bank. Just watch this location if you choose to eat here.
Rainbow Garden
Rainbow Garden in Bunn is our go-to spot for great Chinese food! We always get the Hunan Chicken, Chicken with Mixed Vegetables, Wonton Soup, and Steamed Wontons, and everything is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The portions are generous, and the service is fast and friendly. If you’re in the area and craving good Chinese takeout, you can’t go wrong with Rainbow Garden!
We used to come here rather often and always were pleased with the quality of the food. Recently we ordered dinner and it was terrible. The chicken was poor quality and lacked their normal flavor. Egg rolls were overcooked and greasy. Prices had also increased a ton. Over $40 for dinner for two is outrageous. Sure there are always leftovers but who wants leftovers of food that wasn’t good to begin with? Not us. Lost a customer.
China Buffet
China Buffet is a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal at an affordable price. The food is always fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for classic Chinese dishes or something off the grill, there’s something for everyone. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making sure you have a great dining experience. One of the best parts of this place is the beautiful koi pond—it adds such a peaceful and unique touch to the atmosphere. If you’re looking for good food, a welcoming environment, and great value, this is definitely a spot worth visiting!
Great selection and food is kept fresh. Service is always great. Chicken dishes always seem to be chewy. Price is fair. The KOI pond is huge and VERY cool. Kinda run down. Needs maintenance.
China King
Food and service good! Girl at counter taking order could not understand ordering food in English. Had to order by number off the menu. Never understood when asked if food had any nuts.
Food is awful and their service staff is rude as they possibly can be. I usually put Chinese food like fast food, it’s usually not the best but passable. The rude Asian kid is a jerk and likes to talk down to customers, don’t waste your money. Go to another location.
China King
The food is pretty good, but we felt we were being rushed. The server even grabbed my plate without asking, and I wasn’t finished eating when she slapped my bill down. The other two people with me felt the server had been staring at them, which may or may not be true. I did tip because I know servers don’t make much. In hindsight, maybe I shouldn’t have. The biggest mistake she made was taking my plate without asking. But, oddly enough, she also kept asking me if I wanted more to drink when my glass was 3/4 full. It was just strange. Since this has never happened before, so I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume she was new. It wasn’t at all crowded.
China King is one of my favorites. They are fast, yummy, and fresh. They do such a good job cooking the shrimp to perfection. Great deal for lunch too!
New China Chinese Restaurant
Surprisingly excellent Asian food. One of the best Chinese restaurants I've come up on in Missouri! I had Won Ton Soup and the Beef Chop Suey. My friend had the Kung Po Chicken Combo with Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. We each had a fountain drink. When we drove up to the place, the strip center it is in was pretty dark, but it had a flashing open sign. We went in, ordered, and paid at the counter. Our food was brought to our table after being cooked to order. It was very fresh and tasted great. We each had plenty to take with us, and I had only ordered the small portion. If you are driving past St. Clair on I44, New China is definitely worth a stop! I'll be back!
This is a nice little restaurant that serves good food. I get it by way of take out. They give you lots of food in their containers so there is enough to eat later. I say if you like Chinese food give these guys a try if you're in Saint Clair.
China King Sullivan
China King, in Sullivan, MO, was much better than I would have expected to find on our drive back to Dallas from Indianapolis. I’m glad we stopped in for lunch! We stopped at China King not knowing what to expect, but what we found, was a sub-$8 lunch menu with seriously tasty food for the price! On the lunch menu, you get a choice of entree and a choice of soup or spring roll or egg roll or crab rangoons for just right under $8.00. The overall menu is priced right and extensive. There is something here for the whole family. Clean place, clean bathroom, friendly staff, and good food.
In my city they don’t really have Chinese food takeout that also doubles as a sit down restaurant so as a truck driver it was nice to park and sit somewhere to eat for a change. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The young girl at the cash register was very polite and professional too. Delicious food. Came out hot and fresh with big portions. Very very affordable. $10 for a combo meal (meat of your choosing, fried or white rice, plus an egg roll or two crab rangoons). So yummy. The rangoons are so crispy, bigger than the ones I’m used to, and look really pretty. We both ordered sesame chicken and a sweet and sour chicken and 8 count crab rangoons to share. Had plenty of leftovers. The inside decor is beautiful with lots of live plants and cute little smoking water fountains. If we lived in the area we would definitely be coming back.
Super Seafood Buffet
Good value for the money. Went in a bit skeptical because reviews said it was bad and the food tasted like cleaning fluid. We like buffets occasionally though. This place did not disappoint. They were changing the light above the sign when we pulled up which was a good sign that we might have found a good place because they pay attention to the sign. Have seen a lot of places that don't care about the light bulbs on their signs. Went in and it was a huge buffet area with food. Good sign 2, the floors were non-stick and everything was clean and tidy. Good sign 3. Now for the taste. Nothing on the buffet tasted like cleaning fluid. Everything was good. They had delicious grilled cheese mussels. Lots of typical Asian buffet food but some American food as well. All the staff were friendly. We are from Cincinnati so not sure when we will be back here...but I can assure you if we are hungry and want a buffet this is where we will go 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I visited recently and overall it was a great experience. The food was delicious. The hibachi was a highlight, the food was fresh, tasty, very tasty, absolutely outstanding! The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained and created a pleasant atmosphere. I would visit again
GENJIGO
Chicken+steak bowl, Fried rice, all vegetables. 3 soy sauce packets (Kikkoman brand) and 1 Sriracha (Texas Pete). Outstanding! The meat was moist and tender, the rice was moist, not one single crunchy piece of uncooked rice! I'm full, but not overfilled. All 3 juice choices were great, however I prefer the tea. Thank you very much, I will be back! The bathroom sign is hilarious!
I was surprised when then I was told to pick 1 vegetable!! So I got 1 chicken and zucchini and 1 chicken and mushroom. I asked if this was because I ordered the kids meal and was told "No, you get choice of" so I see all these bowls and am wondering if people really spend $20 per bowl to add more vegetables??? The person waiting on seemed par for the course - high school kid, he did say have a good night, so that was good. Not exceptional- either way. I was there at Noon and no one was eating inside. I passed someone getting takeout 🥡 on my way in. The taste was good, 3 or 4 slivers of carrots and a teaspoon of egg in the fried rice. The yum yum sauce was okay- not as good as most hibachi places but good. Most of the dish was rice. It was a try for us which is why we got the kids meal portion. (No drink included). Overall, I'm glad we didn't spend more. I am not sure I would return on a regular basis, which is sad because they could really corner the market- but with Lucky House diagonally across the parking lot from them- we can split a family meal for the same cost and get and egg roll, shrimp toast and crab Rangoon, and the same meat portion with more vegetables and fried rice that had more "stuff" in it.
