Lucky Garden
EDIT: UPDATE TO FIVE STARS I just left LG after making a mistake with my order and not having enough cash on me. They spotted me the $2, didn’t make me feel bad about it, and then explained how to order it the way I wanted in the future. This type of service more than makes up for the lack of refills the first time. I’m having one of the worst months of my life and this small act of kindness meant the world to me. I am now a loyal customer thru thick and thin, and I’ll bring you the $$ asap. Good food. Fresh buffet. Service was slow on a slow lunch. Had to wait for refills to drinks quite a bit but it’s a nice local Asian eatery and I would go back!
Seriously the best of the best American Chinese food. The egg rolls are handmade every day. Super fresh and just soooo good! A must see in Maine. Defintley worth the trip!
Asia Eatery
first time visiting. average prices. the food portions i found to be big! very busy but waited the amount of time they told me on phone. my daughter loved her egg drop soup and she's picky with her soup. we'll definitely visit again
was charged over $20 extra then what menu says. you personally have to put on your sweet and sour and just given regular chicken fingers with it. ordered egg fried rice and was given white rice. boneless ribs are painfully dry. spent over $60 for what exactly?
Amazing Garden
Food: The egg drop soup is not just egg, it also has carrots and mushrooms, eww. The chicken looked unappetizing (see pic), but tasted alright. The pork lo mein and pork rice were dry. The egg rolls and duck sauce taste like Christmas (all spice). Get takeout, or just don't go. Service: The server, who was the only person we saw, was absolutely amazing. She was kind, personable, and the only reason I am not giving everything a one star. Atmosphere: There were guests talking about having their cysts popped in the ER the previous night, and although this is not the restaurants fault, the specific person speaking about this unappetizing, disgusting subjects was clearly a regular because him and the server knew each other. The server sat nearby, eating, and said nothing. The restaurant is outdated, and they sat us in front of the windows to make the restaurant look fuller. That maneuver did not escape me.
If you're looking for a spot that serves delicious Chinese food with generous portions, Amazing Gardens is a must-visit! The dishes here are not only flavorful but come in large portions, making it a great value for the money. The service is friendly and efficient, ensuring that you feel welcome and well-cared for throughout your meal. Whether you're craving classic favorites like General Tso’s chicken or looking to try something new, the flavors are consistently vibrant and satisfying. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive, making it an excellent choice for a casual meal or a family gathering. Highly recommend Amazing Gardens for anyone seeking tasty, hearty Chinese food!
Chen's
I have been a customer for years. But recently over the past year, the food is fantastic every time. I can't recall one item I have not enjoyed. I purchased again tonight and the egg rolls were cooked perfect. Not overcooked and to hard to bite into. Crab rangoon were fantastic. Fried shrimp excellent. I feel they have become better than all the others in the area. I wish they had a full sit down restuarant. Love this place
I tried really hard to like the food, but I just couldn't. Issue is the oil, it seems like they deep fry all their food in the same oil which should be replaced a long time ago. I ordered orange chicken and the chicken was very dark in color and had a weird aroma to it. The aroma was definitely coming from the oil it was fried in.
China Gray
I’ve eaten at this establishment twice. The service is nothing to write home about, but you wont have a long wait. The first time i ordered although I wasn’t overjoyed with the meal at least i received the quantity of for which i paid. Last night i stopped after work and ordered the beef and broccoli and 2 spring rolls This was a colossal waste of $30 (including tip) I received a huge pan of broccoli with a very flavorful sauce and approximately 6 small pieces of beef strategically placed on top of the broccoli.
Food is good great portion, GREAT price. Only thing is to much batter on chicken finger. But, very good food worth the buy😃
Oriental Restaurant
Worst food I’ve ever had. I literally got one tiny scoop of rice, the food is so greasy i at very little of it. They put dumpling sauce under the dumplings instead of putting it in a separate container. The grease you see here is after I dumped it out, so my food wasn’t getting saturated in it. I’ve been to many many Chinese restaurants and I’ve never gotten Such a small amount of rice with a combo plate. The chicken finger was dry and saturated in grease, as was the Rangoon. I will never return.
A long standing top quality eatery. Nicely prepared. I love the Filipino food also. One consideration if you have sodium sensitivity - the Filipino dishes, particularly the adobo, tends to be on the saltier side. Thanks for being open and serving lovely food for all of these years!
Yeung's
The place looks clean, organized, and spacious. Food was bland, sweet and sour soup tasted like juice poured off of cooking meat, nasty. Overpriced for what you get
If only Yeungs would find a way to make their dishes less oily. I’ve had a few different menu items such as lo mein with vegetables and it’s just soaking in oil. I’d imagine this is probably common with American Chinese food though.
Wei-Li
Everything about my first visit here was amazing. Plenty of seating, service was great. The food was amazing. Definitely would go again.
Wei Li has ruined all other Chinese restaurants for me. This will hands down be the best food you’ve ever had! We live 45 minutes from here and will travel that time to get their food! Staff is amazing, family owned and run and the best people ever!!
Xin's Chinese Restaurant & Dragon Lounge
Cute, warm and inviting atmosphere; Owner, Nancy— gracious, humble, friendly, great cook! I was so pleased b with the light, crispy fried items… no heavy batter; fried shrimp actually tastes like shrimp; beef is succulent; low mein was perfect. So, so pleased! Can’t wait to go back! Good bye to all other Chinese restaurants in the area! 🪷🥟🍤🥢🥡🥂🫕🍱🍜
Great food, but the last order they’ve changed their sweet and sour sauce. It’s like water. I can see wanting to stretch your products but I’d like it to stay on my food that I’m dipping it in. Water is not a good idea for dipping sauce.
Asian Garden
Very good Chinese food, especially for the fair prices. Spicy food wasn't as spicy as I would have thought, coming from a white guy. The music was poor and made a clash with the decorations. I've mainly gone here to take out but only recently went inside with one of my friends. I suggest take out personally, good food, fast preparation
Ohh no, what happened to you guys? We've enjoyed our experience and food in the past. Our order of General Taos chicken tonight was terrible. Chicken was dry and stringy. The sauce was a strange overly sweet flavor - it tasted like artificial sweetener. Hubby said that ordering was difficult and the person was grumpy at pickup. A miss on all counts.
China Empress
Absolutely delicious!! We were in the area and decided to check this place out as we were going by! Not disappointed in the slightest, the crab rangoons, egg rolls and even the sesame chicken was crispy and amazing! The chicken fried rice was also to die for! The duck sauce had perfect flavor too!
The food is really good. The atmosphere is bland. Doesn’t look welcoming. Definitely a pick up order restaurant. The server tonight (2/26/25) wasn’t welcoming. I was given the wrong order. It’s my fault for not checking but when it’s all stapled up it’s hard not being o check until you’re home. The chicken noodle soup barely had soup. I ordered boneless spare ribs and instead I was given pork lo mein. Very disappointed in his time around.
New Lewiston Mandarin
Mandarin is the go to place for most people in the surrounding area and towns. Large selection of tasteful food, decent buffet price, friendly and quick service. Peppered beef is my favorite along with the best fried rice around. Stay away from the egg foo young, it's absolutely the worse I've ever had. Everything else has been delicious. The food could be hotter. The parking can be difficult at times. I would certainly recommend the Mandarin and have many times.
A very nice place to eat while in the area. Great food and service at a good price.
