China Doll
Lunch was EVERYTHING! I stopped by China Doll for lunch and… they did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and seated right away. The service was fast, friendly, and smooth all around. I placed my order and within 5–7 minutes my food hit the table—piping hot and packed with flavor. Let’s talk portions—top tier. You definitely get your money’s worth and then some. I left full, satisfied, and already thinking about what I’m ordering next time. The food was amazing, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. If you’re in the Harvey area and want good Chinese food with great service, this is the spot. I’ll 100% be back!

China Gate Restaurant
Soup is so good! Dumplings good! General Tao is delicious 😋 Feels like homemade would.
Best experience! Food is so great and awesome quality, but even better the customer service is above and beyond! I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child and it has always been one of my favorites, but today I experienced something that was beyond anything I've ever experienced before! My husband and I came here a couple months ago and paid with a gift card, well we forgot the gift card and never even realized! We went there to dine tonight and of course the service was great and food was delicious, but as soon as she saw us she immediately recognized us and returned our gift card!! So not only did she keep the card and wait for us to come back, she also immediately recognized us and knew it was ours! One of the best things I've experienced! I wish these wonderful people all the blessings because they are truly so kind and honest like family! We will always return here and we encourage others to do the same to eat some amazing food and support a family restaurant with amazing people!
Empress of China
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. There's absolutely nothing bad to say about it. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are perfect. I always order their fried mandarin chicken, it's my favorite. The brown sauce that they use tastes amazing. And their portions are HUGE. You get a lot for your buck. Go! You won't be disappointed. Oh! Also, their crab rangoon is the best I've tasted, and their egg rolls are so big and delicious!
Large portions but not a fan of the food. The lomein noodles are angel hair noodles and flavor not great. The general shrimp is basically fried shrimp served with a bowl of sauce which I actually like the shrimp a lot so having the sauce on the side worked great for me. The fried rice was decent. Friend had sweet and sour chicken and it was fried chicken patties sliced into strips and then also served with a side of sauce. The service is friendly and accommodating.
3 Happiness Restaurant
I don't come to New Orleans to eat Chinese food, however, the family wanted it. We found this location by accident and it was a HAPPY accident. The employees were so sweet and kind and the food was large portions, hot and delicious. Even though it's not what I come to New Orleans to eat, we will stop by again on another visit.
We celebrated a family event at this restaurant and everything was great. The food was delicious and the restaurant was clean and inviting. We had a great time here!
Guang zho chinese restaurants
It was my first time there & I was very hungry. I ordered some fried & steamed dumplings .they were good. The cashier Pedro was helpfu, the place was clean.
Walked into restaurant and not a soul was in there. Was going to leave as I thought food was probably not good. So glad I changed my mind and decided to stay and eat. Boy, I’m glad that I did. The food was terrific! I had General Tso’s Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice and Egg Roll. It was all quite yummy. The only issue I had was that they didn’t have water in the fridge and they don’t serve water! I will go again and try other dishes!!
August Moon
Today was my 2nd time coming to this restaurant & placing a to go order & I am thoroughly impressed. Not only was the food delicious both times, but nicely packaged as well! I ordered the lobster special & pressed vermicelli with grilled shrimp & they both were worth every penny. Fresh & generous portions as well. Customer service was great & the same hostess assisted me both times and was friendly & helpful! She also offered to bring to food to my car while I waited & even recalled me mentioning on my first visit I would be back for my birthday the next visit which was super sweet. Love this place & highly recommend!
Only had their food at weddings and events where they catered so this is my first time dining at the restaurant. Service was excellent!!! Food came out fast and had no issues! Ordered Thai tea, combination pho, lobster tan cang which comes with stir fried noodles and veggies, clay pot fish (ca kho to), and sweet and sour Vietnamese soup (canh chua). Thai tea was sweet but relatively good. Pho was okay…I had better but was still edible. Lobster tan cang was huge and delicious! Had so much on the plate but is not worth the price tag ($99!!). I’m assuming market price must be high when I went. Ca kho to and canh chua were amazinggggg which also comes with rice! I loved the flavors so much!!! The fish in the canh could’ve been better because it tasted weird, but the soup and veggies were fantastic. Overall, I would love to return and try other items! Very extensive menu so I’m sure I’ll find other things I’ll enjoy.
STAR WOK
I have been craving shrimp and broccoli for the past couple of days. I don't like trying too many places for Chinese food. And I am very picky. But I must say, my food was delicious and fresh. The shrimp was huge. As well as the portion size. I didn't get the eggroll, I did get the stuff wonton. They were 2 big pieces. The price was amazing for the lunch special I paid $8. It also came with fried rice. I got the chicken fried rice instead of pork. I will recommend this place. It's a great takeout place. Maybe have a dinner night or even lunch date at home with friends or lover. All while not breaking the bank.
Was enjoying food until I found hair in it , terrible they wear hats and not nets !
China Wok
Looks can be deceiving, but this is the best orange chicken I've ever eaten. If you love vegetables, then just roll right on in! Other items on the menu were also very tasty and met satisfaction!
The Faded Christmas decorations still stuck to the front door 4 months later should have been my first sign.. then when you go in the place looks damn near abandoned and the signage looks like it has been there for 20 years... and the food confirmed my fears...it was terrible I'm hoping I don't get sick. From out of town so I don't have time to stop back by ....just a lesson learned don't eat there again next time I'm in town. And their prices were too high And thinking back on it the black curtains hung so you can't see into the kitchen also should have been a red flag🤦
Legend Dumplings
This place is my absolute dream. Dumplings for days. Great atmosphere and decorations throughout. Love the self order kiosks. Amazing dumplings. I had the chicken and mushroom and the buffalo chicken dumplings. Both were excellent. They have great chili oil as well. To the post about the odor, I definitely noticed it, as I am very sensitive to smell. It seems like it’s coming from the bathrooms, like maybe a sewer back up. So not their fault, but definitely a smell they will want to address long-term. A+🥟 5 🌟
When I first walked in, there is a distinctive smell that hits very weird... not pleasant.🤮 Also the atmosphere is a bit much. I ordered 2 different dumplings the pork and chive and the beef with onion that came w/ 2 different sauces, not ponzu sauce 😢 They had a very gummy texture for being steamed and it tasted powdery. I wanted give them a try, but was not impressed. Everyone's taste buds are different, so I'll stick to the frozen ones.
China Rose
This may be a hidden jewel. Pretty nice little restaurant hiding in an isolated area. Friendly staff. We were offered two sets of menus - a regular Americanized menu and another one with only authentic Chinese dishes printed in both Mandarin and English. We took the authentic menu and I was very impressed with their variety. Highly recommend: 1) West Lake beef soup (西湖牛肉羹, which was lightly seasoned that we love), 2) cumin lamb ribs (孜然羊排 my husband's fav), and 3) stir-fry greens (清炒豌豆苗 my personal fav). Not our favs but still good: 4) Eggplant with sweet sauce (鱼香茄子), and 5) some pork belly dish (虎皮肉). Sorry that I forgot the English name but I took a picture. The last two were a bit too sweet for us, so next time I'll try the other eggplant dish with fresh garlic without sweet sauce.
Ask for the Chinese menu obviously if you want authentic. I had the cold duck and it was fantastic. Also the pea sprouts are also fantastic. The beef and tripe was a little sweet for my taste.
Y.Fortune Restaurant
The dining experience was quite enjoyable; I'd certainly consider returning. The portion sizes were generous; a single plate could easily satisfy two people. Opted for the sesame chicken and rice combo alongside a side of egg rolls, totaling approximately $30. While the chicken was tasty, it didn't quite match the traditional Chinese flavor profile I'm accustomed to. However, the rice stole the spotlight with its well-cooked texture and abundant shrimp. It's arguably the best in the vicinity. As for the shrimp egg roll, it was decent but fell short in comparison. The frying seemed a bit off, resembling that of a corn dog, and the interior tasted like frozen veggies. Not recommended for those who appreciate a top-notch egg roll. In summary, a satisfactory Chinese eatery.
Tiny spot by the Cleary bridge, really hard to see, its family owned take-away, Nice people and friendly service, I was told by a friend to try their choochoo and its was delicious with the house made sauces :p
Chinese & American Restaurant
Best Chinese take out!! I’ve been coming here for 20 years and still get the same great service from the same sweet hard working family. I moved across the lake and still make a point to stop here weekly on my way home from work.
Food was freshly made and well flavored. Portions were also great. Prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants. Staff was helpful in clarifying differences in menu options. I would order from here again. Parking available on the side of the building, and there is plenty of indoor seating available.
