Lin's Chinese Buffet
I called in my order. Got my daughter to pick it up. Honey chicken has no honey flavor and rubbery chicken while chewing. Rice has no very little flavor. The chef didn’t feel like working today. The nicest thing I can say is food was hot and fortune cookies were good. Waste of my money. Usually the food is good, I’m thinking it has to be a new cook. I won’t be returning.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Went today for lunch with some family with a party of 5. My husband took a sip of his refilled drink and pulled a ROACH out of his MOUTH!! Absolutely unacceptable!! He was so disgusted that he went to the bathroom and threw up everything he had just eaten. Called for a manager and was told the roach came from the pipe for the fountain drink machine. Yeah right!!! They swore they do not have roaches there. I said, yes you do, there’s your proof as I pointed to the roach he had spit out on the table. They ONLY discounted $9 of our $108 bill for the “inconvenience”. They could have at least not charged us for his meal since he vomited it all up anyway. I expressed how disgusting it was and I will NEVER be back!!! Totally GROSS.
Panda Chinese Restaurant
This has always been my go to for general tso every other place I use panda Chinese as the top tier in comparison and it was the best I've ever had on a busy Friday night and their food is spot on no cutting corners. I love the amount of Szechuan pepper in it that's what really made it the best. That little extra heat. Not too much but made the whole meal to perfection. I never have any complaints of this restaurant and I absolutely adore the family who owns it. Keep up the great work and nothing really changes you can go everyday and get the same thing it will be the same everytime there's no overcooked noodle or rice no sauce that was different then before I don't know how the little extra Szechuan pepper was added but I'm here for it.
The food was their saving grace. The attendant at this restaurant was so rude. I had a question about the rice and egg roll that came along with my meal and apparently, she was not in the mood for questions. I did not want the portion of rice, but I did want the egg roll still. I asked if the rice was going to be on the same plate and if not, for them to just keep it. I don’t know what the mix up was, but it was a simple question… or so I thought.
East Dragon
This used to be an excellent restaurant but since covid it went almost totally to rakeout. There are still a few tabls to eat inside. However, food is served in takeout dishes, drinks are bottled with no fountain so no refills, plastic utensils, no placemats, etc. And the food is tasteless. No umami from MSG, incredibly mild mustard and hot sauce. Everything tastes like cardboard. I do not recommend this place at all.
I ordered roast pork and noodles with cabbage and carrots. I have a HUGE box of noodles maybe 6 slivers of meat a couple of pieces of carrots and and the same for the cabbage. When I asked about the meat I was told I could purchase more but there's no way to say how much I would receive. I stirred it around at the counter so the young and the lady could see what I was talking about but it didn't matter. I guess that's how it goes when you don't have competition That's all of the meat that you see. I've only been twice since I moved here and this is my last visit.
Panda Garden Buffet
We broke our own rule about going to a buffet between lunch and dinner time. A lot of the food had been sitting out and one had to be careful as to what you put on your plate. The jalapeño chicken was warm and fresh while the sesame chicken was off putting. The wife liked her coconut shrimp but the boiled shrimp was subpar. We tried the place and should have followed our rules. It might be a great place at lunch or dinner time.
The food is not that good I have been there years ago and the food was much better.. the waiter's stared at my family the entire time making us very uncomfortable we will not return 0/0 do not recommend.
Hong Kong
I usually get my Chinese food from this place bc it’s decent. But after last night I will never step foot in this place again. My daughter has a strawberry hemangioma On her cheek and when we walked in to pick up our order the front desk lady was loud about asking what’s wrong with my daughters face after she scared me and my daughter (who buried her face in my chest and was gripping on my arm) I checked her face and asked her what she was talking about and she said she has something in her cheek. And I told her that it was her strawberry birth mark she didn’t even apologize about the situation but just said oh.. are you here for XYZ order. I’ve never in my life ever felt so uncomfortable and for her to make this ridiculous comment and being loud about it.. absolutely ignorant and ridiculous. If this is how you treat your returning customers for the passed 4 years… can’t even imagine.
The best food and great service....you can't go wrong ....and priced good
Golden Dragon
We had the best waitress. Food was delicious. Only complain would be the other waitress and another women with children were talking so loud across the dining area. Me and my friend would have to stop talking because we couldn't hear each other. Very unprofessional.
Okay!! So It’s Back Again!!! Can I tell you a secret that you will eventually find out?? It is absolutely better than ever!! Food Quality is absolutely 5 ⭐️ Friendly Faces are still absolutely 5 ⭐️ Outstanding Service again 5 ⭐️ This place has really stepped up the ambience and pushed the envelope to the top 5 ⭐️ Are You Counting?? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!
Pan's Express
This is a drive up only. It is off of the beaten path. But trust me if you go here you will get the best, honest, freshest, most tasty Chinese food around! I heard about Pan’s and drove over to see what people were talking about. Yes it’s a run down little joint in not the best neighborhood but, it’s still safe and easy to order. The food was AMAZING! The egg roll was one of the best I’ve ever tasted! The spare ribs were tasty and extremely well cooked. I was truly impressed with the food! The prices were the best part! In the days of, “I can’t feed my family”, this is a place that is an affordable for the whole family! Just call in your order and drive up to retrieve it! My kinda place!
I agree with an earlier post about pulling up at this kind of ugly run down building. But the food was decent. Hot. Fresh and good enough. Sodas are from a can. Plastic fork. Basically a to go place with a small 4 table dining room. Friendly local American cashier to take your order and authentic Chinese people cooking in the back.
Livonia City Cafe
The food is so good! The little couple that own it are so sweet and adorable. It’s so close to my house which makes is very convenient. Great home cooking!
This restaurant closes for weeks at the time. Now all of a sudden it's closed until September, or longer. Citing that the cook has had hand surgery. He's been using this with his hand for over 2 years because he's probably tired of working. Keep it closed forever. I'll never go there again anyway
Gourmet House
I've been eating here for about 7 years now and I have never received bad food. Their consistency is flawless. If you want good Chinese cuisine, you should give them a try. Also the service is very nice and welcoming.
The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had , the shrimp egg foo young came with some kind of thick flour gravy , the sweet and sour sauce wasn’t very good either, also there were no utensils in the bag or soy sauce
Chinese Gourmet 113
I absolutely love this place! I visit it every time I'm in Houma. So delicious!!!
Food is the best I've encountered when it comes to Chinese food. They literally slap your tray completely full and more than one person can get a full tummy with only one plate. I are 4 different times from my plate and was full each time. However it's a small place, with very little seating area. The English comprehension could be better from the employees. Also their patience as well. But overall their food is fabulous and well worth the money. It's $11 and some change for 3 meat choices and rice or noodles. And like I said it's an excess amount of meat in your plate.
Happy Garden II
We arrived right before the dinner rush. The bar was clean all the items were fresh. I really enjoy the crab rangoon dip. The coconut shrimp as well. The blue crabs lacked flavor however the season from the boiled shrimp was perfect. They also have a dress and stuff oyster.
I always tend to come here for dinner after a day of work, the first few times everything was fine, I was served by the same woman who I think is Guatemalan, a nice girl, very helpful and attentive, good service she provides, but these last two times an older woman wearing glasses has been instigating my table by bringing me the bill when I haven't even had dessert as if she wanted me to leave, the first time I accepted it and was offended but I let it go, but this second time I did feel offended because she treated me the same way, I was eating and the same woman with glasses, I think she is Asian, arrived and put down the bill as if to imply that I should leave the place. And she did because I will never return to this place again. And the food is no good that all
Bamboo Garden Restaurant
Went in for dinner. Had the Buddha plate. It was pretty good but is better with the duck sauce. The wonton are REALLY good. The spring rolls were ok. It was mainly cabbage and no other veggies and very bland in my opinion. The jasmine tea was good. The warmth was perfect for the cold atmosphere. Waitress Julie was really cool. Great atmosphere. Wish they had booths.
Ordered an appetizer that they were tryna give me AFTER the main dish. Young lady didn’t seem to respectfully understand the concept of an “appetizer “ and kept implying that I just needed to “box it up and take it with me” , assuming I can just eat it when I return to work. Noticed some dirty looks from staff after I said, don’t bring it out at this point and I’m not paying for an “appetizer” that’s being sent out as a desert. I ordered “shrimp” fried rice. With all due integrity, there were literally THREE small shrimps in the rice. Three. Boneless chicken was over battered and kinda salty. Just passing through for a two week training and revisiting some local spots while I’m in town. Won’t return here for any reason.
