China One A
We’re in the area of Taylorsville for the summer. Just my wife and I. We decided to give China One a try for takeaway. We’ve been from Los Angeles to Bar Harbor and tasted our share of Chinese cuisine. From their large menu we ordered chicken cashew, egg drop soup, pork fried rice, edamame and pork egg rolls. The food was fresh and clean. The chicken cashew had generous portions of meat, carrots, celery and sauce. The soup broth was thinner in a good way, not like some that come out thick. No corn, onion or peas. Just unadulterated broth and egg. Really clean egg taste. The food was cooked in vegetable oil without being oily. One caveat: steamed white rice does not come with the entrée. You must order it off the menu (sm$4/lg$5.25). We recommend China One for authentic Chinese food; price inline with quality; its extensive menu; use of 100% vegetable oil and a Grade A sanitary inspection certificate. 4.5 stars. Enjoy!
We absolutely love the food! I am not sure why nine year-old boy hands me my money and doesn’t know how much it costs. Please remember to ask People what sauces they want with their bag of food. The mother seemed very upset when I asked for extra sauces, and nothing was included in the bag of food.
China Buffet
China Buffet is a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal at an affordable price. The food is always fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for classic Chinese dishes or something off the grill, there’s something for everyone. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making sure you have a great dining experience. One of the best parts of this place is the beautiful koi pond—it adds such a peaceful and unique touch to the atmosphere. If you’re looking for good food, a welcoming environment, and great value, this is definitely a spot worth visiting!
Great selection and food is kept fresh. Service is always great. Chicken dishes always seem to be chewy. Price is fair. The KOI pond is huge and VERY cool. Kinda run down. Needs maintenance.
Hunan Chinese Restaurant
Just got a fairly good side order to go. Have been to many good Chinese Restaurants for both dine in or take out. This is not one of them. In a 10 minute drive home the food was barely warm. Reheated, but did not improve the taste. Everything tastes the same. Spring rolls were not that good possibly frozen. We won't be back.
Stopped in here with my mom because we wanted some Chinese food. And living in a small town good Chinese food isn’t easy to find. We decided to try hunan and were absolutely blown away. The food was piping fresh, and they make everything to order. The black pepper chicken is a shining star at this place! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was great with Chinese music and cool trinkets to buy and take home. Absolutely will come back here next time I crave Chinese food!
King's Wok
My first time there was quite the experience! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo with a side of vegetable lo mein noodles and there was so much flavor in everything! It was all so hot, fresh and tasty. I will definitely be returning
That's a one and done for me. The only thing I could actually eat from my order were my egg rolls, which were meh. I couldn't even eat the fortune cookie because I felt like a Cat chewing on a piece of cardboard.
Yang Garden Chinese Restaurant
Me and my family drive from Frankfort once a week to eat here, this place is absolutely amazing, it’s not a buffet made from scratch fresh, yum yum is homemade and insane good, reasonable priced and just an overall great experience, PLEASE OPEN UP A YANG GARDEN #2 on the west side of Frankfort!!!!!! 5 Stars!!!!
This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Nothing better in Any of the surrounding counties. The food is great! We love this place. We drive nearly 30 minutes just to eat here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Wok N Go
Will not eat here again, I've had their rice a couple of times before but they did something to my food that didn't suit right with me, I had an allergic reaction on my arm after consuming their chicken fried rice. The food made my mom sick including the shrimp peapod. Not returning.
We really enjoy their food. Haven't had any bad experience in the past 6 years. Egg rolls great, fried rice is delicious, and the won ton soup is excellent. I didn't care for the egg foo young, but I believe that's personal preference. Never have eaten in, we always carry out.
Orient Express
Soso good, the food is so yummy and there’s people there who speak fluent good English, and some Spanish. The people are so sweet and joyful, their crab rangoons are my favorite. I come here literally every week, definitely should go. And their shrimp chop-sui is sosososo good, so so buss
The best place in town! Friendly staff and delicious food. We tend to have large orders and food is always correct and hot! Dine and take out are both great. Large portions for a great price!
Great Wall (Wilmore)
Great Wall is one of the few restaurants in Wilmore. It is small and clean. My favorite dish there is General Tso’s Chicken.
Our family stopped in after a basketball tournament at Asbury, and we're not disappointed! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was ready quickly and served hot. Everything was delicious! We definitely recommend stopping in!
Asian Wind
Very pretty decor. It's nice to see almond cookies for sale at the counter. I was really excited for vegetarian Malaysian food, especially the kwachic. It was good, but more like seitan bignets in an orange sauce. Would have liked more spice. They brought out some chili oil when I requested it hotter. The chili oil was good, but not very spicy. The younger staff seemed very caught up in their personal conversation and shooting me weird looks after I took a seat. I was served by an older lady with an incredible voice. I was glad to have a quiet dinner by myself. I'm very glad that there are so many vegetarian options here. I will be back next time I'm in town.
Large portions, amazing taste, and fast and friendly service! There was no wait, and our server was quick and friendly! We got the large egg drop soup for 4.99 and it was enough for 4. The crab Rangoons were to die for. The sweet and sour chicken and chow mein were both large proportions and very delicious. Definitely worth going to if you’re in the mood for Asian food.
New Peking Bistro Chinese Restaurant
The food was amazing. Some of the best American-Chinese food I've had in a long time. The egg drop soup is by far the best I've had in a hot minute. The tables were super clean and the lady upfront was more than friendly.
I'm generally not a huge fan of Chinese food but this place was great. The food has a different twist to it that is subtle but refreshing. I've yet to try anything there that was bad which is honestly quite surprising since even the best restaurants usually have something they don't do well. Favorites are dumplings but only with the sauce, and maybe the beef lo mein. It's kind of hard to pick
China king
I paid $100 for our order and the only thing that was good was the sugar donuts. Everything tasted like old grease, even the things that weren’t fried tasted like grease. We have eaten at the China King on Bryan Ave many times and it is always delicious, but, I will never eat here again. Very disappointed in the food and very angry that $100 of my hard earned money was wasted! Never again.
I just had a Doordash delivery from China King off Versailles Rd ...the food is very very salty General Tso's Chicken-the broccoli is not cooked tough the egg roll is dry and cooked way too long..I did not get the appropriate condiments - I will say I did not realize when I placed my order that my food was coming from this location. I have ordered from the Bryan Station Rd location for decades and never received a bad meal. Versailles Rd definately is not my location of choice
Foliage Restaurant
Beef with broccoli, lunch special-I wanted to eat there, but she didn’t ask and packed it up to go. There was no one else there (2:30), and no music playing. Broccoli was fresh, adequate beef, hot and tasty. Serving size ample enough that it would serve 2 with an appetizer. I will be back!
We were out of town for the winter and the restaurant had been updated. I expected the same food as in the past. The menu on the wall reminded me of fast food menu like you see at the airport. What a disappointment! Usually when there's egg rolls, they included the hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce. If I hadn't been so hungry I wouldn't be able to eat what I did. My sweet and sour chicken was so flavorless I used some leftover Zaxby's sauce for dipping.
