Jasmine Asian Bistro
Idk what happened to this place, it used to be absolutely delicious, not at all this time around. I didn't rate atmosphere since all I did was run in to pick up. I called in an order of Shrimp Fried Rice, it was $17.00. It was a huge portion size however, the shrimp had been freezer burnt or old idk what since it's was not eligible. You could definitely tell the carrots and peas were the frozen kind out of the bag. Would've rather a small portion of edible delicious food instead of a box sized full of freezer burnt shrimp with little bits of frozen peas & carrots.
The food was decent, but everything was fairly bland. The sushi roll (green tree roll) was the best thing I ordered, but any of the Chinese takeout entrees we got were disappointing. As far as the atmosphere, we sat at a booth and the back was loose so every time the person behind us moved, it pushed me forward. We didn’t get much service at all to the table, and had to flag the server down for anything we needed. I would recommend ordering sushi to go if you’re thinking of trying this place.
P.F. Chang's
We dined at a P.F. Chang's in Kentucky and had a mostly good experience! The Mongolian beef and Teriyaki chicken were incredibly flavorful and cooked to really good. However, the rice was surprisingly bland and lacked seasoning. Our server was friendly, but unfortunately, he got our orders mixed up. This led to us getting two of the same dish, we were so hungry we ate them because we could not be bothered to wait anymore. He apologized, though. On the bright side, the price was very reasonable for the generous portions we received. Overall, the food quality and value made up for the minor service mishap. I'd suggest that the server pay closer attention to order details and revamp the brown and white rice recipe. Otherwise, P.F. Chang's remains a solid choice for those craving tasty Asian-inspired cuisine.
Amber is an Angel! She was so helpful and had such a beautiful spirit. Be the Light! Go team AMBER!✨
Yen Ching Chinese Restaurant
YUM YUM YUM, delicious. MY FAVORITE!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Lo Mein and the Black Pepper chicken!!! And the Sesame balls are Legit!👌😋 Eva was so nice and she guided us in what to order, she was great!
Best food in town period!!! This place puts so much love and flavor into every dish! I cannot eat Asian food anywhere else as it always falls waaaaay short of the bar this place sets. Tonight they went above and beyond and blessed us with some very satisfying soups! I cannot recommend this place enough!
Rice Box
Please note it's carryout only. Clean, quiet, super friendly staff and fantastic food at good prices. Location on Southside can be a bit congested but you can sneak right out onto Strawberry for a light or a detour. Will definitely be back. Pepper steak was awesome. Big menu. Recommended.
The owners are amazing and remember their customers. They give suggestions once they know what kind of food you like so you can try new things. The restaurant is always clean and they are very mindful about illness. Also the food is always perfectly prepared. Hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in Louisville.
China Coast
Service was FAST! I got spring rolls, Mongolian beef dinner (non-spicy) with fried rice and the Sweet and sour chicken dinner with white rice, and all my food was hot and fresh! This was my first time eating here (as I usually go to Chong Garden) but I will definitely be back!! They have gained a new customer for sure!!! I also recommend both dishes and the spring rolls!! Portions look low in my pics because I was pigging out! 😂 had to make them look neat for the picture! Lol
The best place for BBQ wings, and fried shrimp basket. Best egg foo Yung, all of their food is five star approved. Dumplings are awesome, the sauce is beyond words. Everything on the menu is beyond standard with other places I've been to. Love this location and their food. Try the soups too, very good on a cold day. Closed on Tuesday but if you order enough on Monday? It carries you over into Wednesday. Love this place, the owners are my neighbors and I've ruined here almost 20 years now. Consistency. High star high grade service and food.
Sichuan Garden Chinese Restaurant
I’ve lived in town for a long time & never heard of Sichuan Garden. Discovered this place by chance (happened to be in the neighborhood) & I’m so glad I did! The food was exquisite. The pork egg rolls are perfect- deliciously crunchy on the outside & flavorful on the inside. Everything I tried was amazing, the employees were very helpful & friendly, & the restaurant is cute (they have a fish tank and pretty decor). Can’t wait to try more dishes here!
We discovered this place while traveling. The place is quiet and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I worked in a Chinese restaurant for four years in the 70s, and this place has the best wonton soup when compared to others. The food arrives hot and fresh with the vegetables crisp and not overcooked.
Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant
This mixed vegetable with shrimp dish has a very authentic taste. It uses fresh ingredients that are perfectly cooked and really stands out.
The food was good and didn’t have a bad price at all, it was just a bit bland
888 Great Wall
Singapore Mei Fun is unbelievable. Better than PF Chang’s Singapore street noodles. Amazing fried rice. Generous portions. Must try. Takeout is best. Not much of a dinning room but works in a pinch. Hidden gem in prospect/springhurst area. This is THE SPOT for Asian cuisine in prospect/norton commons area!
Really good food and service. Walked in, ordered and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Good prices as well.
China Castle
Been here a few times for some classic Chinese takeout, exactly what I needed. The lo mein is fantastic, well-seasoned and a great portion. Had some crab rangoons as well: the size of the portion wasn’t what I was used to, but the filling was delicious! They were very quick on cooking the order, just took less than 10 minutes. Price is solid, got crab rangoon and a large house special lo mein for about $15.
Just found out that they are charging ghs exact same price for a small order that they are a large order. Bought food here a week ago and then today...price was the same...why is asked?! They showed me a thired size(smaller.then what i ordered) that they did not have on display and said that the sizes have changed and this was the new pt size....I asked for a refund. This place is scamming you
Double Dragon II
They didn’t prepare my order the way I asked and they overcharged me by $6 for the food. Apparently the menu prices are false advertising because we did not get that rate when we went inside and placed the order. The food wasn’t that good either. The fried rice was very fluffy and yellow. The Mongolian beef was not spicy at all. I won’t be ordering again.
I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combination w pork fried. It was disgusting, completely dried out, color of burnt steak, and uneatible. It all went straight in the trash. I called the restaurant and he was so rude, told me that it wasn't chicken it was pork like that was an excuse for it to be overcooked, black and disgusting and then he asked me what do I want him to do about it. Very rude!! I would NEVER anything from this restaurant again.
Liu's Garden Chinese Cuisine
Retired a few years ago and this was a weekly stop for lunch when I was working and my office was nearby. The food and service were predictably great. Since I hadn’t eaten there in several years I decided to try it today. Very disappointed. There were no other diners while I was there (red flag) and only one carry out customer came in the whole time. The place felt dirty and there were supplies stacked in seats. Numerous hand-written signs covered the walls. The food arrived on a paper plate and came with a plastic fork. When I dine in I expect plates and silverware at the minimum. This is not the mall food court. The food was tasteless except for the “medium spicy” I requested. Noodles were overcooked to the point they were soggy. The usual staff was no longer there and the new staff have apparently made some changes that have contributed to a decline. I still left a generous tip because I know the restaurant business is hard work. But… If you’re looking for a nice lunch with good food, good service and a little atmosphere, this isn’t it. Keep driving.
Ordered in door dash. Waited more than 2 hours. Called the restaurant several times to verify they got our order. Kept getting the runaround. I will never attempt to order food from there again. Rude, more than 2 hours and we had to cancel. Zero out of ten, do not recommend.
China Cafe
We were excited to try this place, it had good reviews and a local friend said months ago it was good. Short version, it is not! We ordered for a group of 15 so plenty of options and not a single good entree. Ordered 3 types of chicken (sesame, orange, and general tso). Once on your plate you could NOT tell 1 from the other, they all taste exactly the same and definitely had the same exact sauce. Also it was all bread we started playing a game to see who could find chicken at all inside the bread and who could find the largest piece. End result, very little chicken and the largest piece was extremely small. So overall would not recommend. We were so disappointed with all 17 dishes we ordered.
I love eating here. Their delivery times are unbeatable, with the happiest, nicest delivery drivers around. This may be no big deal to a lot of people and I hope it isn’t to most, but personally…it destroys my desire to patronize this place fully. They close at 10pm, but you’ve gotta have good luck if u want to call in an order after 9:30, even for a pick up order. Most of the time they won’t even answer the phone. I understand not wanting to send out a delivery at 9:50 or not having to cook after you’ve put things away, but don’t say your open till 10pm then, or clearly state in your ads that u don’t take orders after 9:30. They literally turn the lights off and walk out the door at 10pm on the dot. They’ve already put everything away and cleaned up by 9:45. If u say ur open till 10, that means I should b able to place an order up to that time, unless its stated otherwise, IMO.
