Great Wall Restaurant
All these losers complaining about service…. Like seriously if the service was bad who cares literally Chinese to go for most people. I’m sure those people complain at other restaurants when their water is too cold because they wanted ice. Regardless food is good, fast, and what it needs to be for a serviceable restaurant. I liked their lomein and so did my kid.
Five of us met for lunch & were shown to a table immediately. We placed our orders at the counter & the food came out quickly, hot & exactly as we ordered. Everything was delicious & the crab rangoon was some of the best I’ve had, plenty of tasty filling, hot crispy exterior & not greasy. A very good experience.
New China Super Buffet
Food was warm and good. The crab Rangoon had too many onions in it but I liked how light and crispy they were. Daughter loved the sweet and sour chicken and well as the fried rice. Sushi was fresh but really small. It would also be nice if they had more of their buffet items labeled. I didn't know what half the food was. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Oh and would you please put your pet fish in a larger tank? You've got 3 large gold fish in a 20 gallon tank, they need more swimming room.
Great food and place to eat, waitresses were friendly and nice. Wide selection of food, including sushi and dessert options. All food served was decently hot and fresh! Tables felt a little cramped, but I am a larger and taller guy (6'3".) Would visit again!
Panda Express
Picked up food for my kids and this is how it came. Noodles are dry and barely any sauce. Served it to my kids thinking maybe they would be okay with it considering they put almost no veggies in the chow mien but they complained how it was gross and lacked flavor.
C'mon Panda Express! My chow mein had more cabbage than noodles! @15$ a plate you can afford to give much better noodle ratios! Also you guys put a bunch of cabbage under my chicken too! Very sneaky!! Don't worry though I fed all the cabbage to the birds in your parking lot.
Wok Hey
What happened to the menu?? I wish I would have read reviews before ordering. Historically we love eating here and look forward to the leftovers. Cashew chicken and lo mein were tasteless and mushy. The fried rice was black?? I'm so sad and I feel like we wasted money.
The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth and enjoyable. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was prepared quickly and with great attention to detail. The crispy pork was so delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor! The service alone makes this place worth visiting, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
Great Wall Restaurant
I have been sat here 40 minutes waiting for an order. Was told 5-10 minutes 20 minutes ago and had to stand at the counter staring to get any sort of acknowledgement. This location is consistently always 30-60 minutes behind with no justification.
I wanted to like this place but save yourself go to the one on south seneca WAYYYY better . First they forgot our food so had to go all the way back then the lemon chicken was AWFUL tasted like straight water .. my crabragoons Cold. it just overall was not a good experience..
China King
I used to eat here a lot about circa 2008. I remember the food being a lot better. I was still good, but just missing that kick. Plus I got white rice, and I thought I ordered their yellow fried rice, which is usually delicious. I guess the language barrier plays a part. All in all, it was still good. Better than the eastside dragon city. A restaurant I visit very rarely is China King. There's something nostalgic about this place. It's somewhere me and my ex used to visit on a regular. But today I decided to try something there I've never had. The egg drop and wonton soup. I was actually kinda impressed by everything. The wontons were meaty and flavorful, and the egg drop soup was the typical type I expect. It was honestly pretty exceptional. My last visit wasn't the greatest in the world, but this time China King knocked it out of the park.
We thank you so much. The food was really good and I really like the people there. I went there with my girl yesterday and we enjoyed it while watching Demon Slayer. We'll definitely be coming back there. :)
Great Wall
So I ordered the beef and broccoli with lo mein noodles. Food started out good. Towards the end of my meal I found a piece of metal in my meat. Good thing I chew my food well or else I would have swallowed it. Smh. The meal started off great, now I'm worried about how it was prepared and what else I may have eaten without knowing.
My friend told me great wall got a new owner ans it is much better than before. Hot and fresh food and clean environment. So i decided to give it a try. I got my favorite general tso's chicken. It was awsome! They gave me a good amount of food with good price. It is hot and fresh and tasty. The restaurant seems cleaner. i will come back again with my family!
Panda Express
Wonderful and fresh! I ordered the beyond orange on rice and green and it was made fresh and the portion was very generous. Hubby had the regular orange chicken and the mushroom chicken and it was also delicious. Sauce was tangy and a bit spicy. Service was very friendly. Will be back as not all pandas have the beyond. This one does so will return. (Only time we eat at a panda due to only eating vegetarian)
Love this place usually come here on the weekdays after work most times I have Christina help me with my order she's fantastic and has a great positive attitude and vibe, 100/10 awesome person and employee! Give her a raise!
Master Wok
Trash, they hardly give you any portions. Yet charger 13 for the meal . Got like 3 or 4 pieces of chicken with the spicy chicken, the rest was bell peppers and onions , foods gone down lately
Tastier than panda express. The chicken is really good here. The lo mein is a little bland but that is fine since it pairs with the flavorful meats. The owner/manager was very enthusiastic and kind. Great service. For fast food Chinese - not bad at all.
Super East Buffet
Finally made it out to Super East Buffet. Overall, it wasn't too bad. I did enjoy most of the food. Some of the fried chicken options were a little dry and overly sweet. The seafood options were plentiful: crabs, crawfish, clams, mussels, oysters, shrimp. The sushi was pretty good with lots of options to choose from. If the price point was just a little lower, I think it would be a repeat stop. $26.99 for dinner is a little steep.
Super Buffet East – Impressively Fresh, Clean, and Spacious I don’t usually rave about buffets, but Super Buffet East truly impressed me. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place takes pride in offering a top-notch dining experience. The restaurant is bright, clean, and far more spacious than most buffets, with plenty of comfortable seating and room to move without feeling crowded — even during busy hours. The food? Fresh and flavorful across the board. You can tell they stay on top of rotating dishes and keeping everything hot and well-stocked. Every station looked neat and organized, with options that ranged from crispy egg rolls and tender beef dishes to a surprisingly good sushi bar and made-to-order hibachi. For a buffet, the quality of the food really stands out. What’s also worth mentioning is the attention to cleanliness. Tables are cleared quickly, the floors and counters are spotless, and everything feels well-maintained — which adds to the overall great experience. If you're looking for a buffet that goes above and beyond, Super Buffet East delivers in every way. It's the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner when you want a wide variety of fresh food in a clean, relaxed setting. 5 stars – A surprisingly impressive buffet experience you won’t regret!
China One (New China King)
I ordered to go. Front staff seemed nice and welcoming. Food came out quick. Price point matched other local fast food Chinese places. The food: The crab rangoon only had a teaspoon of filling in it. They were so flat when I got them, I assumed all the filling leaked out, but no, this was an intentional small amount. I was really disappointed since I ordered 2 orders of eight. The Beef Ho Fun was plentiful, but lots or large sliced white onions and a little amount of thin slices of beef. Flavor was okay, very one note. No wok char taste at all. Tried the HK Chow Mein since there are not many options for it in Wichita and was disappointed. The sauce and noodles were pretty thick. Sauce was a bit too salty. A positive was there was a lot of meat and veggies.
Ordered pepper steak delivery..never had this place before ..was actually gross....the yellow fries rice really weird, hard
Great Wall Restaurant
Located in a little shop by dillons. $7.35 lunch specials. Normally $9.95. A sign on the door indicates they are closed on Tuesdays and open 11am to 8:30pm on Saturdays. Service was quick. Make sure to grab chop stcks or a fork. They don't pack them unless you ask. Tables and public restroom available, but you go to the counter to order and all orders are packaged to go. We go the pork lo mein and sesame chicken lunch specials. Small portions for this type of place. Cheese racoon were really yummy. Surprisingly sweet. We did not like the pork. I would definitely go with chicken or beef. It was very chewy, cheap, and old tasting. Parking situation is not great if you have a wheelchair, kids, or elderly etc. They did have children's booster/high chairs. Next time I come to Wichita I will chose a different lunch place. Accessibility ♿️: 3/5 Child friendly: 4/5
Food got to me fairly fast but the fried rice was so grainy in the mouth and was really dry. The meat was also overcooked. It probably doesn't help that the great wall that used to be right by my place had the most perfectly cooked teriyaki chicken on a stick every time and it was a comfort food of mine and now I know I will truly never be able to have it again :(
