China GO XP
The husband chose China go xp for our dinner tonight. We went to the one right by the regal Warren east. We went in, the place is clean, quiet, and very friendly. We were served incredibly fast and the man behind the register didn't even mind our rock paper scissors battle to make a decision. The portion sizes were incredibly huge and the cost was outstanding. Very very pleased with our meal as the food was so delicious š. Wonderful job
Pleasant people working and assisting me on the choices I could make as this was my first visit. Food was very tasty and portions were generous.
Tianluo Bistro
Having a late lunch... The food was great came out hot and fresh. Chicken and mixed vegetables with a fried egg roll & general tso's chicken fried rice. Proportions were more than we could eat for lunch will make great for microwaving.
First time trying Tianluo Bistro. Food was good. The sweet and sour pork ribs threw us off though, with the sauce looking like gravy, not your typical sweet and sour sauce. Kung pao chicken and the dumplings were our favorite. Overall, food was 4/5. Service however was mediocre. The waitresses didnāt really seem to know the menu well. Werenāt very attentive.
Dragon City
Moo Goo Gai Pan from Dragon City on S. Webb Rd.. The last time I was here, I kinda had a bad experience. But it's been over a year since my last visit, and the people who work there are wonderful and deserve my business. But this time around, the food was better than expected. Flavors were basic but still came together well. There was yellow fried rice in the bottom of the bowl, which I'm a sucker for. Vegetables were cooked perfectly, and made this dish even better. I've never ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan before, and it's something I plan on getting again in the future.
Ordered Buddha Delight and found myself very delighted! It's hard to find delicious vegetarian food when I'm traveling, and this was better than average.
China Inn Restaurant
Went in for lunch. Everything came out hot and was plated beautifully. Staff were all very friendly and on top of service. Bathroom was also clean. I would return and try something else from the menu. We had sesame chicken and sweet sour chicken along with some egg drop soup that was well flavored and had chicken chunks.
Hadn't eaten here in quite some time and was honestly very disappointed in the food. Ordered hot and sour soup which was ok. Entrees were Happy Family and Hong Sue Har Kew. Happy family was so salty and the broccoli was still raw. The Hong Sue Har Kew was sickeningly sweet. The only thing that we enjoyed was the fried calamari appetizer. Service, however, was excellent. Doubtful we will ever return.
Panda Express
Some of the food was really good, while some of the food was less than that. The temperature inside was on the warmer humid side. I was hoping for a nice cool place to sit and eat but it was on the hotter side in the building.
This is to let everyone know that it is located in the Rhatigan Student Center. There is free parking to the south. You do not have to park in the parking garage. Parking in the Visitor spots is free. You do not have to be a WSU student to eat here.
China Go Grill
I love China Go and will often drive all the way across town to get it. They have recently remodeled everything in the store. It looks great. The problem. The quality of their food went down. Their dishes are not as tasty as they used to be. To the point when I want Chinese, this is not the first place I think of anymore. They used to have the best rice and their food tasted so fresh. Not that way currently. Which makes me sad. The spring rolls also have a weird almost chemical taste to them. Maybe try a different place until they get back to being good.
I love this place. They offer very good food for very good prices. Their portions are huge. I really like the orange chicken and the fried rice. I drive into Wichita once or twice a month and I make sure to stop by here and grab some take-out. I can get 2 to 3 good meals out of one order when other Chinese take-out I only get 1. The people are always nice and it is super fast. Give it a shot!
P.F. Chang's
I am so pleased with our anniversary dinner! From the very beginning the hospitality was amazing. We are frequent guests and are always happy customers! Not only was the assistant exec chef, Liliana so kind to allow me to order a special gluten free meal due to allergies, but also accompany the assistant operating partner, Erik to personally bring us our dinner. We were offered a free appetizer for our next visit and a free dessert after our meal! The absolute sweetheart of a server/bartender, Jody did an excellent job at taking care of us!!!
I placed a pick up order online, ALL the food was HORRIBLE it was cold, super plain no taste or seasoning! Messed up on 3 out of my 4 entrees, and the only reason I got on here to leave a review is because when I called the manager was rushing me on the phone to where he wouldnāt even allow me to finish then hurried up and said I will refund two of the meals first of all I didnāt want a refund I wanted my food honestly replaced THEN he was so eager to rush me off the phone he didnāt even know about the THIRD entree that they messed up on! I will NEVER come back! And to think I tipped them $11 just for them to do that then for a MANAGER to treat me like that! $90 wasted at such a horrible restaurant with horrible food!!! Donāt go there TRUST ME!!! Look at the picture of ONE of the messed up entrees can somebody please explain to me why does this spicy chicken look like this?
Great Wall Restaurant
Located in a little shop by dillons. $7.35 lunch specials. Normally $9.95. A sign on the door indicates they are closed on Tuesdays and open 11am to 8:30pm on Saturdays. Service was quick. Make sure to grab chop stcks or a fork. They don't pack them unless you ask. Tables and public restroom available, but you go to the counter to order and all orders are packaged to go. We go the pork lo mein and sesame chicken lunch specials. Small portions for this type of place. Cheese racoon were really yummy. Surprisingly sweet. We did not like the pork. I would definitely go with chicken or beef. It was very chewy, cheap, and old tasting. Parking situation is not great if you have a wheelchair, kids, or elderly etc. They did have children's booster/high chairs. Next time I come to Wichita I will chose a different lunch place. Accessibility āæļø: 3/5 Child friendly: 4/5
Food got to me fairly fast but the fried rice was so grainy in the mouth and was really dry. The meat was also overcooked. It probably doesn't help that the great wall that used to be right by my place had the most perfectly cooked teriyaki chicken on a stick every time and it was a comfort food of mine and now I know I will truly never be able to have it again :(
Super East Buffet
Finally made it out to Super East Buffet. Overall, it wasn't too bad. I did enjoy most of the food. Some of the fried chicken options were a little dry and overly sweet. The seafood options were plentiful: crabs, crawfish, clams, mussels, oysters, shrimp. The sushi was pretty good with lots of options to choose from. If the price point was just a little lower, I think it would be a repeat stop. $26.99 for dinner is a little steep.
Super Buffet East ā Impressively Fresh, Clean, and Spacious I donāt usually rave about buffets, but Super Buffet East truly impressed me. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place takes pride in offering a top-notch dining experience. The restaurant is bright, clean, and far more spacious than most buffets, with plenty of comfortable seating and room to move without feeling crowded ā even during busy hours. The food? Fresh and flavorful across the board. You can tell they stay on top of rotating dishes and keeping everything hot and well-stocked. Every station looked neat and organized, with options that ranged from crispy egg rolls and tender beef dishes to a surprisingly good sushi bar and made-to-order hibachi. For a buffet, the quality of the food really stands out. Whatās also worth mentioning is the attention to cleanliness. Tables are cleared quickly, the floors and counters are spotless, and everything feels well-maintained ā which adds to the overall great experience. If you're looking for a buffet that goes above and beyond, Super Buffet East delivers in every way. It's the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner when you want a wide variety of fresh food in a clean, relaxed setting. 5 stars ā A surprisingly impressive buffet experience you wonāt regret!
Great Wall Restaurant
All these losers complaining about serviceā¦. Like seriously if the service was bad who cares literally Chinese to go for most people. Iām sure those people complain at other restaurants when their water is too cold because they wanted ice. Regardless food is good, fast, and what it needs to be for a serviceable restaurant. I liked their lomein and so did my kid.
Five of us met for lunch & were shown to a table immediately. We placed our orders at the counter & the food came out quickly, hot & exactly as we ordered. Everything was delicious & the crab rangoon was some of the best Iāve had, plenty of tasty filling, hot crispy exterior & not greasy. A very good experience.
Panda Express
This location is the worst dining option in Derby. The service is the main issue which affects every meal at this Panda Express. The servers hurry the customerās meal choices and get very rude about non-immediate responses to their questions. Deep, dramatic sighs and even deeper stares of irritation are common with this staff, including from managers. They typically are asking the next question about your order before you are even done responding to the previous inquiry, they will abruptly interrupt you if you say anything out of order while in their interrogation process, and they do NOT handle it well if any customer needs a moment to look over the options. This all gives a very rushed and uncomfortable atmosphere, even when they are not busy and the staff outnumbers the guests. This unfriendly and unprofessional attitude consistently given by the counter speaks volumes about the poor management and culture of this business. Derby locals, and visitors from McConnell AFB and Wichita, all deserve better. Note: my absolute final visit here happened to be when someone drove into the building. This was not any fault of the business, but the experience was still terrible prior to the accident due to such impolite service. Not surprisingly, the lack of leadership was on full display after the incident and luckily for this business, it was customers that handled the situation in the beginning.
We had to stop in to try the beyond orange chicken! It was really good. My whole family enjoyed it. So nice to have another quick vegan option around town. Employees here are always great and the restaurant is always clean.
Panda Express
If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. Iāve never written a review before, but I feel like I have to for this restaurant. I love Panda Express, but this particular location seems to have many issues. Iāve been to this restaurant maybe five times. The first time I went, it had just opened and the food was very good, obviously fresh. But it just went downhill from there. Any other time Iāve went the food has been cold, the rice and the chicken was so unnecessarily dry, and the tables were all dirty. I understand if theyāre busy, but there was quite literally nobody else there when I would go. The last time I went to this location, it wasnāt even to eat; I was picking up an order for DoorDash. Apparently another Dasher had already picked up the order, which was fine. What was not so fine was that the lady who helped me was so rude for no reason. Like, chill, princess. Unfortunately, I had to call DoorDash so they could cancel the order, so I had to go back inside so they could tell the customer service guy that he could cancel the order. Again, they were so rude. There were three workers, a dude and two women. The woman who had helped me previously had an attitude the whole time while the other two employees snickered in the corner. I apologised and told them to have a good day, to which I got an eye roll from one of them and no other response. So annoying. Iām actually terrified to go in any time I get a DoorDash order from there⦠social anxiety at itās finest.
As a frequent panda diner, I was excited to try this cool newly designed store in Wichita. Unfortunately, most tables were dirty, the trash cans were overflowing so that was a bad start. I ordered my normal sweet fire and Beijing bed with noodles and the beef was dry and nothing was even warm. On top of that when I got to the register I was told the soft drink machine was out of order so it was water or tea. Overall, the dirty store, cold food and no soft drinks made for a bad experience.. š
