Chop Suey Hut
This is a busy place! Friendly service. Ordered the twin dragon, the chicken was salty and the steak was a bit hard to chew but, the white rice didnt taste like it was freshly made, but the sauce was delicious, I would probably give it one more try. All the appetizers were great. Will be back to try more dishes.
I don’t think we will be ordering from here again. We tried the take out which was just ok so we decided to try dinning in. The portions are huge and the presentation is great. The flavor however is nowhere to be found, my wife ordered a yellow curry and she described it as very bland, I ordered the beef kung pao and it was sweet as heck almost generic tasting, worst of all there were two sour pieces of meat in my dish, it tasted like when beef goes full brown in the fridge. There was a chili next to the name on the menu to indicate it was spicy, trust me it was not. It was just meh honestly. The pork in the wontons looks plentiful but it is almost all hard fat which was not good, best part of the meal was the veggies and the chicken fried rice. The inside is cute, we just happened to walk in at the right time and got a table it was packed and reservation were needed. Waitress was very nice along with the rest of the staff. To sum it up it’s very expensive basic food, we don’t see what the hype is about.
Garden Cafe Woodstock
We love Garden Cafe. It's our favorite restaurant. We drive 25 minutes to get there from Kingston, and Kingston is full of popular/trendy restaurants. The Garden Cafe veggie lasagna is fantastic. I have had it about 30 times. My wife 40. I try the specials and am never sorry. We love their apple lemonade with ginger. My daughter and her husband who are both great cooks love it too, and we can count on a happy little dinner party any time we show up. The carrot cake with cream-cheese frosting is superb. They make their own vegan cheeses. The ambiance is classic Woodstock and the indoor/outdoor restaurant faces the town square. If you go for early dinner on Sunday, in season, you can see and hear the drum circle, playing like a floor show scene from "Hair", the musical. The service is so nice, that it is therapeutic. The decoration is unpretentious and homey. And the quality/value equation is so good that I imagine the restaurant is subsidized. Great food, fair price, peace and love.
This. Place. Is. Amazing. First of all, Woodstock is such a cute little town. If you’re looking for vegan / plant based food, look no further. It had just hit fall (autumn), and we sat outside in their garden. It was so amazing. We got the peanut tofu satay, the cashew nut Brie cheese, and the salt and pepper tofu with polenta. It seems like they have a rotating menu, but everyone’s dish looked amazing. Go for a walk around the town, get some records from the record store or some hats up the street.
Cucina
This might've been the best meal I've eaten in my entire life. Went for an anniversary dinner, got a lovely table on the porch. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful with recommendations (I was indecisive, everything looked SO good). The calamari with their aioli was delightful, so light and crispy. We also got the caprina pizza and a risotto special (can't remember what was in it, just that it was creamy and amazing). Cocktails were also sooo good. We will ABSOLUTELY be back the next time we're in the area.
A beautiful place, nice prompt service. The host was very accommodating and friendly. The food was good, my daughter had the huge serving of chicken Parm. She said it was delicious. I had a smoked salmon open faced sandwich type scenario, also delicious. We finished with the olive oil cake with lemon curd. I think we liked this the best! ;)
Yen Ching
Wow! This place blew our minds! We have been trying to find a good Chinese spot in Canton for 10 years and this was it. This is the best chinese food we have eaten in 15 years. Service was amazing too! We will be back!
A little confused about the reviews, but if you’re not a fan of flavor, you’ll probably love the food. I got a combination dinner. The chicken lo mein, fried rice, and egg rolls had absolutely no flavor but the egg drop soup was pretty good.
Pearl Moon Woodstock
Ordered Michelada for drinks, it was good! For food, I ordered veggie pita from lunch menu, it was healthy: made of whole wheat pita, avocado, cucumber, etc. I ordered with a side of fries. My partner ordered breakfast with side of salad and toast. Salad had balsamic vinegar drizzle so it tasted a little sweet, but good. Toast was nice too. Everything tasted good. Would love to visit again.
We stopped here for brunch and ordered the birria Benedict and the pork lion with pork belly. Delicious, well-prepared dishes that did not disappoint. The menu has a variety of options, all made with fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation. The wait staff is attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Their coffee was strong, rich, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a nice meal. They have live music in the evenings. We sat outside but the inside looked cute, like a starry night indoors.
Good Night
Good night is a beautiful restaurant, with friendly service, creative cocktails, a great wine list and, most importantly, really good food! I appreciate the fact that they always have a few vegan options and a frequently changing menu. It also has a large bar area, which is nice for solo diners or those just grabbing a small bite or a drink. It is on the pricier side, but portions are big - in fact, I’d suggest maybe sharing apps, not ordering individual ones and I’d say it’s worth the higher price.
Fantastic! If you are in Woodstock and like refined service, dishes that taste amazing, and a beautiful relaxing atmosphere, this is the place. We had the paté, the scallops ceviche, and the whole fried fish. All so tasteful, asian touch, tangy flavors, cooked right. Cocktails and mock-tails are amazing too. Best of all, food quantities were real, filling you in, and all priced well for what I thought was great value for the quality, space and good service. Loved it!
Happy China Restaurant
First after picking up my order I was given the wrong food. Had to go back and pick up the right order. The Sesame Chicken was dry, broccoli was not cooked. Crab Rangoon’s were old and dried out. Teriyaki chicken was good and fresh. Called to let them know she told me I was lying about the chicken and would give me credit for the old crab ragoons. So disappointed. Really wanted a good Chinese place to order especially when I work long hours at the urgent care.
Avoid this place at all cost. Absolutely disgusting. I have never in my life had tougher or dryer beef and chicken. Lo mein bone dry and flavorless. I cannot imagine how this place stays in business. I spent over $70 on something I wouldn't be comfortable feeding my pets. So disappointed. Actually pretty pissed!!
New China Buffet
Hot food was barely warm, cold foods were slightly chilled. Items were mislabeled so it was almost like a disappointing version of Choose Your Own Adventure. We came for dinner around 6:45 so you would think hot food would be hot and fresh. It was almost comical that 3 out of 4 of us couldn't find something right. On a positive note, my 12 yr old chose this place for his birthday and he loved it but for 75 dollars I with the rest of us would have found something to enjoy.
Went here for lunch with my sister on a weekday. Price was reasonable. $26 before tip for the both of us. The food was okay, not amazing, but it wasn’t horrible for the price. The Korean bbq pork was by far the best thing there!! I would return just to enjoy that again. Salad bar looks amazing and the fresh fruit was great! Also the ice cream was sooooo good, ridiculously good!! Definitely a quick spot to eat at if you don’t have a lot of time and aren’t looking for 5 star food and service!
Panda Express
We thought the food was good, not great, but the prices were good. It's a fast food affair so we will continue to eat the food, but from now on we'll use it for pick up only. Two thumbs up in the fast food category.
I am on a trip and it’s my first time being in Georgia. I went to check out this Panda Express since the one back home is really really good! The speed of service was good but they were going too quick to realize the quality of their food was garbage. No veggies in their chow mein or flavor, the broccoli beef was mushy and had a bad taste with a weird texture and the cream cheese puffs were burnt. I felt like if I hadn’t spit out my food, I would’ve gotten food poisoning. Maybe instead of focusing on the speed of service, maybe focus on the quality of food!
Peking & Tokyo
Ordered delivery- Very delicious food- cooked just as we ordered. We’ve ordered from Peking & Tokyo before. We definitely recommend! Thank you Peking & Tokyo!!! Pan fried pot stickers, plain fried wings, and mei fun extra shrimp, onions, and bean sprouts. Delicious!!
One of my absolute favorite spots in Woodstock! I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and the food has never let me down. The staff knows me by name, which adds a personal touch to every visit. Hands down, this is the best Asian restaurant in Woodstock. I highly recommend trying the sesame chicken and chicken fried rice—they’re unbeatable!
Panda Express
First time at this location, terrible customer service experience. Server was nonchalant, condescending, unenthusiastic, and had a "I do not-care" attitude. Almost seemed like it was a chore to do her job. I cann't tell if the food was good or not, it looked okay. Not planning to ever order from this location again.
i go to this panda a lot, and i’ve never had a negative experience, though i can only speak for the dinner-time experience because i never come during lunch. the workers are always very polite and don’t skimp on the portions and they do a good job keeping the line moving. it’s usually pretty clean inside as well. overall, my rating of this establishment is great!
China Fun
Special fried rice was nothing special. Honey chicken was decent but very undercooked and chunks of pineapple (weird). Boneless spare ribs 5 out of 5. However their fried chicken wings were EMBARRASSING, I could’ve gotten better wings at a gas station..
So we ordered takeout on Christmas night never had food from this restaurant before and my husband‘s noodles were rock hard in the middle. I called the restaurant got a refund. I told the lady that it seemed like they were still frozen. She said no we cooked them fresh I dug to where they were hard and it was cold in the middle so they were frozen. that’s fine, but don’t lie about it and make sure you cook everything all the way through. If you’re going to freeze it, we will never eat there again. Some other stuff was overcooked as well.
