Yum Yum Noodle Bar - WOODSTOCK

We were starving after a long Fall hike. Yum Yum Noodle Bar was the perfect remedy. We had ramen, and red curry seafood soup. Both were delicious. They have a lovey outdoor seating area. Service was friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our time here.

The first thing I would say about Yum Yum Noodle Bar is that I am very surprised by this restaurant's positive rating. I live between Europe and the United States and my passion has always been eating, cooking and exploring new delicious and creative restaurants, especially Asian ones. Yum Yum's problems are too many to list them all. I'll just start by saying that it doesn't offer Asian cuisine at all and that every dish we ordered for takeout contained a jumble of colorless, sticky and tasteless ingredients, thrown onto the plate without any aesthetic or culinary criteria. If we had eaten blindfolded, it would have been impossible for us to describe what we were ingesting. I understand that the offering of authentic Asian food is limited outside certain urban areas but this restaurant is truly an insult to one’s palate. Despite the steep price, we ended up throwing most of our dinner in the trash.

Wok Provisions is a welcome new spot in Woodstock with fresh, well-prepared dishes and a clean, modern atmosphere. The service was attentive and efficient, making for a smooth dining experience. While the prices are on the higher side, the portion sizes are generous—definitely large enough to share an entrée. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for flavorful Asian-inspired food and don’t mind spending a little more for quality and quantity.

We were visiting from out of town and happened to see this restaurant. We found out after we sat down that this was their first day open. Everyone was very friendly. The fried vegetable bao buns were freshly made, and we could taste the difference. The hot and sour soup was tasty (it is very spicy). The spicy dry pot was amazing. It is very spicy(which I liked) but too hot for my wife. You can ask for less spice if you want. The spices and herbs used were a perfect blend. It was one of the best restaurant stir fry dishes I've ever had. I highly recommend this place!!

We received a sweet greeting, and we were seated in a comfortable booth. All of the staff were so friendly. The buffet was steaming hot with all the favorites. There was fried and white rice, assorted chicken entrees, salt and pepper shrimp, lo mein, soups, crab Rangoon, desserts, and more. All for a reasonable price. Loved the quiet atmosphere with soft music in the background. It was very accessible and the bathroom was clean. We will definitely return.

Pretty small buffet, though I really enjoy it. The meat is very nice quality. Quick service and pretty clean. Very affordable.

Today, we decided to go to China Wok, and it was one of the best decisions we have made on our trip. We skipped from the appetizers straight to the main course. We ordered vegetable fried rice, vegetable lo mein, and a platter of steamed vegetables, with a side of white rice. First, the fried rice was very flavourful. It had peas, broccoli, and onion. Pour some soy sauce on it, and you have perfect fried rice. Next up was the vegetable lo mein. The noodles were cooked amazingly and were topped with many vegetables. The final thing we ordered was some steamed vegetables with white rice. The vegetables included eggplant, broccoli, and many more green things. It was basically a DIY fried rice. You would dump your rice onto your plate, add your veggies, and pour on some delicious soy sauce. All in all, this place is very underrated, and I recommend going to China Wok if you are in the Woodstock area.

Absolutely nothing Chinese about this Chinese restaurant. Food is absolutely prepared incorrectly. Sweet when it should be savory. After my lunch, I ordered Lo Mein to go. Got home and found spaghetti. Unbelievable. Not at all worth the money, forgot about quality or authenticity. An American dump. The white waitress was good. THANK GOODNESS.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the orange chicken, which was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The customer service was equally exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home.I will definitely be returning to enjoy more of their amazing dishes. Highly recommended for anyone craving great Chinese cuisine!

The two men that run this restaurant have been there for years and work very hard. The food is good. However they do need to clean the place up and remodel, it is looking very run down.

I was starving and needed a quick bite and this place far exceeded my expectations! I got the steak and chicken hibachi and it was ready quickly but very hot and fresh tasting. Not only was it delicious but the portion size was huge, I have plenty for leftovers. Will definitely be back!

This maybe great for sushi, but we don't eat sushi so she ordered the hibachi chicken, and I ordered the steak and chicken. She liked the noodles and I liked the fried rice, but that was it. Steak was mostly gristly, and the chicken and the steak were bland which means we loaded it up with soy sauce. Broccoli was warm and very crunchy. Nice atmosphere, and the staff was nice and attentive, but the food was pricey and not so great, so we won't be returning.

Outstanding “Chunk King Pork” with rice. Delicious, tender, flavorful pork. The veggies (carrots, onions, green peppers) perfectly complement the dish. Very flavorful My grandson, 7 years old is very picky about food. He had three bowls of won ton soup and asked for another to go. The 4 year old had two bowls of won ton soup. The egg rolls and chicken on a stick were excellent. Service was great and she was very pleasant even dealing with children that changed their minds several times during the order process. This little gem is wonderful!!! LARGE amount of takeout orders also attests to the taste of the food!

Really need to learn how to run a restaurant better. Busiest day of the year for them and they are understaffed on Christmas. Allowed online orders, rather than shutting them off, let customers show up based on the given pick up time from online site, to tell them they dont have their order, it will be an hour long wait after driving 20 minutes to get there. Honestly cannot understand how you run a business like this. Lost a customer without a doubt.

They were busy so it took a while, and the inside isn't much to look at, but we ordered a lot of food, and all of it, I mean all of it was delicious and hot and fresh. Best crab Rangoon in the county.

I am reading some of the negative reviews and wondering if we are eating at the same restaurant. The food here was fresh, flavorful, and not greasy. Compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, it is also cheaper for a better quality. I see complaints about not starting your order until you arrive, and I believe this was true for me as well. However, they also verified my order and I don't mind waiting all of 10 minutes. Hot food that they are ensuring is what you intended to eat? Yeah, sign me up.

Horrible food quality . I wish we got them zero stars and reported them to FDA for not maintaining good hygiene .Ordered Thai panang curry and basil and got rubbish , not even eatable .I really want a refund back but Uber won’t fix it. My kids woke up with food poisoning . So disappointing

We used to really enjoy our orders from here. Tonight’s food was bland and my husband found a staple in his dinner. I don’t even understand how that happens.

Great sushi. I've been to most of the sushi restaurants in McHenry county, this place continues to be my favorite for quality. The Maguru salad and the peppercorn tuna are my favorite menu options. Miso soup is also better than most. The staff is friendly. Sometimes they don't have experienced bar tenders, so I stick to beers when I dine in.

Good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely consider coming back.

I had the pleasure of experiencing this restaurant today. This is Chinese restaurant I've eaten at in a very long time. Their spring rolls are the best I've ever had, period. The rainbow lo mein was outstanding. They serve oolong tea in pots, which is something no restaurant does where I live, so that was a treat. If I could give this review more than 5 stars I would. This is a must dine restaurant.

So I looked on Google Maps for food near me it brought up Lucky Bernie's and I tried to open the door at 4:52 and they're closed even though the sign on the door says they're open. As you can tell there's a whole bunch of crap all over the front of the building maybe they couldn't see that the door was locked 🙄 so I guess if you want to eat here maybe call First to make sure that they're open on a Tuesday during the week 🙄

The environment is really cool here! It's a sandwich place with a bar that looks pretty good! I had an amazing sandwich and a great server!
