Hibachi Grill & Supreme Sushi Buffet
There are many Asian buffets these days and while there are some top-of-the line buffets, there's plenty more than are good and there are of course some that are rough because the food isn't rotated to keep fresh food on the buffet. This buffet though is pleasantly good and it has a nice atmosphere. I like that the buffet's atmosphere is very well done with good decor and not feeling like a generic restaurant. The service is also good and for the most part well done for a buffet as well. The food is what you mostly expect for an Asian buffet with a mix of Chinese dishes, sushi, a Mongolian-style grill and American buffet fare. The sushi is one of the better offerings I've seen in an Asian buffet; the fish was fresh when I was there and they had an actually good variety of different maki rolls and nigiri. The Mongolian grill has some good choices and the chef does a good job cooking the food up. I did wish they had a better selection of difference sauces to tailor your dish, but what they have works. The Chinese dishes are also pretty good with the normal variety of Amero-Chinese entrees and the fruit when I visit was reasonably fresh. Overall, this buffet has very tasty options for food and a good variety of dishes as well. For a local, this is a good buffet to visit. But not quite one I'd go out of my way to visit.
Many items on the buffet's hot bars are prepared from frozen ingredients. The buffet provides a typical assortment you'd expect, featuring both standout items and some that fall short. They offer a wide selection of freshly made sushi, albeit with more filler than usual. The food is consistently hot, and dishes are regularly replenished. At the back, there's a hibachi grill where you can customize your meal and have it cooked to order. The prices are fair for an all-you-can-eat experience, and the staff is attentive in clearing away empty plates.
Minato Japanese Restaurant
Me and my husband followed other reviews and ordered the pineapple ice tea + fried rice. The portion was generous and the food and drink were so good. 5/5
I've been getting food here since I was a child and it has been amazing since then. Tiny, quaint, family owned. Owner is pleasant. The system they have in place for ordering food could use some refinement and the location is somewhat inconvenient, it also gets a little pricey for larger sizes and the portions could be a little bigger, but I would suffer through it every time because the food is sublime!
WINGS & THAI STATION
Thai spicy food was amazing. I like spicy food and this place was good food and service as well.
The chicken was undercooked the kids didn't notice until they finished a couple The flavors were just ok the fried bananas would have been good if the crust was crispier so basically everything was undercooked The best part was the chicken egg roll delicious all the flavors came together perfectly especially with the dipping sauce the outside was a little soggy but the flavors made me forget about the sogginess I would only recommend the egg roll
Wilma's
The Shrimp and Grits & Fried Catfish were delicious and our server was AMAZING. It got a little loud due to a child's b/d party being held in the mini bowling alley, but we didn't mind. I will definitely return!
We had an amazing experience! We tried the Thursday tasting menu special and it was so much fun. We got to try 12 different things on the menu. The pork belly and crab dip were amazing! The crab cake and shrimp and grits were equally delicious. There were great gluten free options. The manager was very friendly and answered all our questions. The space was both historic and modern. We would definitely come again. Even took home a Photo Booth souvenir!
The Opulent Restaurant & Lounge
It’s hard for me to put into words what an amazing experience we had here. Not only was the food delicious but the service was impeccable. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu and helped guide some of the less adventurous eaters in our group. There were many remarks made by our party about the chicken and lamb being the best they’ve ever had. I can’t wait to return and see what else they have to offer!
My friends and I went to Opulent on their 1st Saturday night open. We loved the ambiance in the dining room and the lounge. The lounge wasn't open that night, but they allowed us to check it out. There's also a private vip room. Because they had just opened, they struggled with a few things like drinks and orders, but the waitress was amazing. She was very friendly and fixed every issue that we had. They even comped anything that there was a problem with, so excellent customer service. The food was very good and we will definitely be returning!
Orange Deli & Grocery
Food could be better, service can be better, atmosphere inside the store alright but cluttered with homeless people outside.
I wish they'd stay open later, but other than that, it's a regular convenience store. Always clean and well stocked - they've never once been out of what I needed! Any miscommunication is always smoothed out politely. I really admire how efficient the employees are at ringing up customers. They have 3 different lines for lottery, food orders, and other purchases - a great system IMO. They clearly understand that people want to be in and out as quickly as possible, and always seem to pay close attention to which customer is next in line, which I really appreciate. Even when it gets super busy, they're much better at managing things than most convenience stores.
Fancy Sushi
The name “Fancy Sushi” is not a lie. This is the most underrated sushi spot in DE. Every single dish was not only delicious but also a work of art. Even the simplest crab-stick sashimi was like looking at a masterpiece — beautifully presented and full of flavor. The attention to detail here is incredible. From the fresh nigiri to the beautiful rolls, everything was perfect. What really made this experience special was the sushi chef — so friendly, creative, and truly talented. You can tell he put so much passion and care into every plate. This is definitely the best sushi I’ve had, and I can’t wait to come back!
This is place is definitely under rated. Wow amazing food and great service. I wished I loved closer to this place. The peppered tuna was the best ever. Seaweed salad was super fresh and not to cold. Also bonus they have cold beer. Best of luck
Sakura Japanese Restaurant
2 to 3 years ago, Sakura was legit one of the better AYCE spots in the Tri-State area. Whether it was food from the sushi bar, kitchen, or even the dessert which is only available during dinner. However, on my most recent trip a year ago, the quality had fallen off. I don't know if something was off that day, but considering the distance I had to travel to get here, I wasn't willing to take my chance again. They have a good selection of items from both the sushi bar and the kitchen. No matter what, you need to try their chicken skewers. Absolutely delicious. Hope they get their quality back. Their service is on the friendlier side compared to other AYCE locations. Overall, you can get a tasty meal here at Sakura if it's the Sakura I remember. And being located in Delaware, no taxes on your bill! My biggest gripe with Sakura is limiting each customer with 50 pieces of Sashimi. An AYCE should be AYCE without such restrictions. And in my many trips here, despite there being a limit on sashimi, they never give you what your order. For example, I order 20 pieces of yellowtail sashimi, but I only get 5. The sushi bar needs to be more accurate with their orders.
The service was good. The Shrimp Tempura and the Avocado salad were good. The sushi didn't hold together well, despite the cream cheese. Too many unnecessary fillers in the sushi. I would not order the Spider Roll again. I did not like the shredded artificial crab. The saki tasted okay, but was weak. The wasabi was very good.
Pho Cali
We are visiting from Massachusetts and after 3 days of heavy Italian food at my in laws I knew I needed something to heal my soul and tummy - this pho hit the spot! Very calming atmosphere, fast service and the pho truly healed me. The broth is rich and flavorful- the chili oil added the spice I needed to clear my sinuses right up. I will definitely be back everytime we visit!
This iced macha latte was exactly what i needed! I also loved the green theme of the store and the plants, provides for a very cute environment. Would order from here again. 💚🍲
Happy Wok
Carry out for dinner. Food was good and hot. House special fried rice, veggie fried rice, egg rolls and fried dumplings. Would order again. There are a few tables with chairs to eat at in a small area.
I was really sick. Had stomach aches could not eat anything. Found this place in Ohio! I originally went in for soup, but ordered rice and beef with broccoli. After the soup. I was able to eat the food with ease, I found it to be rather satisfying. He even put extra ginger per my request. I would recommend.
Thak Thai
Small spot but well worth the stop. I tried the curry stir fry with shrimp and spiced hot. Great blend of flavor and spice. Rice was a bit dry but soaked in some curry sauce and it evened out.
Our team was here for trial and struggled to find places that could take large same day catered orders. We placed a same day order for pick up for 15 people at Thak Thai and they were extremely accommodating and very nice. Ordering was easy. Every request was answered. Our team loved the food. It was delicious, hot and fresh and ready on time. And out of all of the restaurants we ordered from for 2 weeks, Fai at Thak Thai was the only restaurant (after ordering $100s of dollars worth of food) to follow up to see if we liked the food and were satisfied with service. For that professionalism alone, this restaurant deserves 5 stars and the food was great!
Soybean Asian Grille
I have been coming to Soy Bean for 9 years and I cannot recommend it enough! The Pad See You and the Thai Hot Basil Duck are my go-to and have never been disappointed. On top of that, the service is great- personable and friendly! Will always come back!
Delicious Thai food! It is clear why this place is well rated. We enjoyed the lunch special of vegetable delight with chicken and the fried rice. We will definitely come back!
