First visit to Kief's Reef after having driven past it thousands of times. I was so very pleased with everything about Kief's Reef. The atmosphere is neat, clean, organized and very comfortable. Every inch of the dining room and bar are finished in a beautifully stained wood. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was way beyond typical "bar food" as it was prepared properly with care and attention. The prices are reasonable and the menu has a good variety that includes a selection for kids. The men's room was clean and neat. Overall a very nice surprise and I look forward to my next visit.

Great salad bar and Friday fish fry plus a nice variety of options for the non-fish eaters. BBQ Pork Sandwich was very good, too. It was crowded, but we were seated within 40 mins. The weather was so nice we didn't mind the wait on their patio. Parking is tight but the food is very good. Service was friendly and the prices are reasonable. Good bread too.

Great place! Food was fresh! Hibachi noodles also tasted great. The lady here is very sweet and kind, and gave my daughter a puppy balloon! I found out they do DJ and kareoke here on Friday and nights. Can’t wait to check that out also!

I will start with saying that this place has the feel of Chinese takeout as a buffet. Now after you read that, imagine the best takeout you usually get. It's at a level where it's so good you forget that the dishes are the same as you get with takeout. There are a variety of dishes that you might not usually try, and now you can for just a few bites, and everything is very good. Dishes are made in smaller batches than I expected at a buffet, but because the batches are smaller, the dishes all tasted like they were just made for me.

Everything was top notch and I can't believe I haven't been to this place before... it's right down the street from my house! I've been driving 45 minutes away for good BBQ and hot pot... well, no more!

Overall good expirence, enjoy a good ramen with multiple options (need to make an even Spicer option I must say). Family enjoyed their food as usual, worth a visit.

The Breakers has been in business for over 80 years and the delicious food, unique atmosphere and tasty mai tai's are three reasons it will be in business for another 80 years. Our group of 4 ordered 2 appitizers and 4 main dishes we easily shared and had food left over. It was all fantastic. Will be back. Loved it!

I have tried this restaurant several times over the years but am never impressed with the food or drinks. It has a huge local following that must not leave Crystal lake. My wife had a Mai Tia which seems to change every time we go there. The egg rolls had the strangest crust I ever had on one. My wife had Hong Sue Har Pea pod and it was just marginal. I had the Beef Mushroom Kew and the gravy or sauce was like paste. I will wait 6 months and review it again.

The absolute best Chinese restaurant around! We order out here a couple times a month. There is no restaurant eating, it's take out only. Everything is great, we've never had anything we didn't like, but we regularly order their wonton soup, egg rolls, and the steamed dumplings. We also love the chicken or beef ho fun with wide noodles, as well as chicken with garlic sauce and General Tso's chicken. Their service a great, but recommend ordering in advance on their website to secure a time for pickup. Also, the lines can get long, especially on weekends. It's obviously a favorite of everyone in the area, and we drive from about 15 minutes out.

I just discovered this takeout restaurant. Everything I have had is wonderful. I don't eat meat. They are fast and ample enough food in every dish I have eaten. Try it and thank me later. So reasonably priced.

It was ok The food was ok Service was ok Saturday lunch only $10.99 Good Chinese buffet restaurant

The food is simply good for the price. It doesn't look that clean (all Chinese restaurants are dirty anyway), but for $13.50 per person, this is a great deal compared to other places. Even if they were more concerned about cleanliness and raised the prices, this is a place where customers would still go.

Hope you like celery. After they gave me the wrong food and I had to travel back to replace it, the new meal they gave me had about three pounds of celery and carrots on top. Meals are usually watery as well. Food is fine when you get the right order

This place is great! Tried it after being disappointed with the McHenry area Chinese food restaurants. It was worth the drive. I had crab rangoon, pork egg rolls, chicken mei fun, chicken lo mein, and mixed veggies. The pork rolls were delicious and fresh, crab rangoon was crispy and flavorful. Everything was just really tasty and fresh. My favorite was the chicken lo mein. Will definitely come back!

The manager (Tamara) was very accommodating, friendly, funny, and generous. The server (Abby) was patient and kind. The food was AMAZING! The portion sizes were massive for the amount we paid. We will definitely go back again 🔥🔥

Thirty-five years ago, growing up in Cary, Plum Garden was the only Chinese restaurant my parents would order from—they swore it was the best they’d ever had. While I’ve always loved Chinese food and wasn’t as picky, now that I’m grown and living in Woodstock, I have to agree: Plum Garden truly is the best. Back then, our go-to dishes were the “Hawaiian Love Boat for 2” and the Triple Dragon. These days, I can’t get enough of their Mai Tais, Hong Kong Chicken, Crispy Honey Shrimp, and Chef Style Fried Rice. Honestly, I’ve never had a dish there I didn’t love! Beyond the incredible food, the dining experience is equally impressive. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a charming cultural flair, and the staff is nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome of the hostess to the attentive servers and the hardworking bussers, everyone is friendly, kind, and makes every visit feel special.

Waited over 30 minutes for two people had to ask the hostess how much longer when there were now several tables open and said oh someone marked that you seated. Then it was about 20 minutes to get our food after the appetizers. Horrible service!

Ordered for delivery.. Food was cooked perfectly and still hot when we got it.

Most disgusting food on the planet. After placing an order with DoorDash, I called the store to ask for more soy sauce. There’s a language barrier and not only was the woman rude, but she hung up on me three times. I then reached out to DoorDash and asked them if they can provide soy sauce packets. They said they would. Thanks, only got one soy sauce packet for a meal fit for three people. The chicken was dry and smelly. The fried rice was dry and crispy. The eggrolls were cold and old.

Stopped in tonight to try a new place in the area, I have been living around here for about 3 years now and I am wondering why I have never stopped by to try this place as I am alway on the hunt for a good chinese place. Look no further as I'd have to say they did a great job. Service 5/5: As the only people dining in at the time service was great, with a just the right amount of attentiveness we were served promptly and did not have to wait too long for anything. Very friendly and nice waitress I would assume to be the manager or owner did an excellent job. Food 4/5: Food was good, and we def left happy. We ended up ordering 2 appetizers and 3 main dishes between my fiance and I. He enjoyed the thicker cut on the beef sticks, some were tender others were a bit tough, but I always make the joke if the meat on a stick isnt a bit like jerky are you really at a chinese restraunt? The potstickers were the nice doughy kind, they came fried and we asked for chili oil on the side which tasted great a nice little kick to add to them. The pineapple chicken fried rice had chicken in every bite and the subtle pineapple sweetness, if it were up to me I would have added more pineapple but I love that warm "grilled" taste it has. The fiance couldn't stop eating the sesame chicken as it was tasty, he asked for me to take it away from him or he would have finished it all and been over stuffed. The broccoli came as nice big florets that were steamed to have a nice crunch but not be raw. Last, I ordered ma po tofu which was great. Big soft pieces of tofu in that typical brown gravy. Overall, only downside it was a bit pricy for portion sizes, however, food mark up during covid has been awful for the industry, (meats are up by 2-5x the normal price) so we really didn't mind as we felt quality was decent. We have marked this down as one of our favorite Chinese places in the area. We will be back for more at a later date.

I ordered the fried shrimp I couldn’t eat it because it was over cooked . It was crunchy and you didn’t even taste the shrimp . Very disappointed! I called a few hours later but it was hard to communicate my disappointment in the food . I realize it was Christmas Eve but still it was not edible .

If i could rate a 0 I would. Terrible stomach pain. Had food delivered through an app. Totally unsatisftory and tasteless. They didn't read any of the notes, did not supply us with utensils and napkins even though that was selected on the order. The veggies were severely overcooked and the noddles were hard, the entire food order was also way too oily. The flavor was way off from what was expected as I've eaten Chinese food my whole life. I called and the manager answered and he was extremely rude and told me to contact the food service as if that was going to fix their cooking or service. All I wanted to say were the issues with the food so they didn't do it to anyone else... just terrible. Terrible place to eat or order from.

My favorite Chinese food in the area! Service is brusque but efficient, and while technically there is a table or two inside this is really more of a carry-out place. But everything is tasty and once you get to know the staff they're really nice.

I pass China House every day, getting to Jewel next door where I work. I’ve only been here one other time, so tonight my husband and I ordered to go about 15 minutes before closing. Now, I’ve worked in food service myself…it’s late, you’re in a rush to finish up and close. But my food was so disappointing. My shrimp egg foo was burned, the sauce with it was slimy and just yuck. My egg roll was so chewy, and cold… shame. The man ringing us up was nice at least. Please do better China House
