Chop Suey Hut
This is a busy place! Friendly service. Ordered the twin dragon, the chicken was salty and the steak was a bit hard to chew but, the white rice didnt taste like it was freshly made, but the sauce was delicious, I would probably give it one more try. All the appetizers were great. Will be back to try more dishes.
I don’t think we will be ordering from here again. We tried the take out which was just ok so we decided to try dinning in. The portions are huge and the presentation is great. The flavor however is nowhere to be found, my wife ordered a yellow curry and she described it as very bland, I ordered the beef kung pao and it was sweet as heck almost generic tasting, worst of all there were two sour pieces of meat in my dish, it tasted like when beef goes full brown in the fridge. There was a chili next to the name on the menu to indicate it was spicy, trust me it was not. It was just meh honestly. The pork in the wontons looks plentiful but it is almost all hard fat which was not good, best part of the meal was the veggies and the chicken fried rice. The inside is cute, we just happened to walk in at the right time and got a table it was packed and reservation were needed. Waitress was very nice along with the rest of the staff. To sum it up it’s very expensive basic food, we don’t see what the hype is about.
Jalsa Indian Bar and Restaurant
We were traveling from Wisconsin to chicago and stopped here to late dinner. Atmosphere and decor looked amazing. Comes to good, we had bad luck. Chicken tikka was not good. Chicken didn’t seem freshly cooked. Had diarrhea within minutes for having few bites, may be I was unlucky with their food and hopefully other customers have better luck than mine. Lassi was good. Paneer tikka was good in taste. We paid $$ cash, which they gave us 10% discount on the bill.
Super good! Enthusiastic about Indian Cuisine, definitely give this place a try and see if you enjoy it! The Mango Lassi is great way to start of your order with its pleasant yogurt soothing taste! We ordered Aloo Tikki and Veggie Somosas to start off for us! Super good, highly recommend these if you enjoy snacks or light snacks to start of your meal! Moving onto the entrees, we ordered Paneer Mahkani and Chicken Kadai! The dishes taste very similar to dishes before and leave a nice taste in your mouth even if you can only handle medium heat! Paneer Makhani was fairly sweet and curated to our taste buds! The basmati rice was super nice side dish and went along with the main entrees fairly nice! Our favorites were the sauces that come with the appetizers, red has a sweet tang while green leaves a slight pepper scent in the back of your mouth! Would definitely come back again to try more dishes I'm unfamiliar with!! Also they have music and a bar, service was amazing and they kept us pleased! Thank you for your food, hopefully if you're reading this.. come try all of their foods!
Pho Royal Vietnamese Restaurant
My roommates and I are always there almost every weekend. Our fave meal choice is their house special P3 Pho Royal with your choice of Beef Rib/oxtail. The broth is just exquisite! We love boba as well and they have a boba shop in there and they serve boba drinks with your meals too so it’s a win win for us. Highly recommend it 😌
Came here with sister and her fiance they recommended to come here the food here absolutely amazing! I highly recommend the Royal Pho so delicious . By far the best pho restaurant I've ever had! Service here were amazing 10/10 👌
Labemi's Tavern & Restaurant
It's a dive bar, but sometimes that's exactly the vibe you're looking for. Always great service and good conversation with the locals. No one seems to be overserved or smells like pee, so it's not THAT divey.. I haven't tried their food yet, but I hear good things.
Everyone who works here has been extremely nice professional and polite. The server that was waiting on my table was very friendly and incredibly helpful. Mikayla definitely makes me want to keep coming back. She is an absolute superstar
Krystal Thai
I love this place really do.. and was so excited to pick up takeout for myself since having a bad week. Normally food is perfect .. today like literally 25 minutes ago.. I picked up my order … whoever is the new cook or cooking today not so great. My curry was less curry more soups aka needs to be creamier . My crab Rangoon .. we’re all undercooked and literally no cream cheese in them. Sad as this is my favorite things to order .. my Thai ice coffee mainly cream very mild .. coffee ice cream is stronger than this. I will consider giving this another go as it has been good in past.. Having to toss the entire appetizer sucks n since when does Thai food use jalapenos? ..
Nice place to have a relaxing lunch or dinner. The service was excellent, the food was really good and they served good portions. I consider that the prices are ok for the amount of food and the service received.
Golden Rolls
Great sushi. I've been to most of the sushi restaurants in McHenry county, this place continues to be my favorite for quality. The Maguru salad and the peppercorn tuna are my favorite menu options. Miso soup is also better than most. The staff is friendly. Sometimes they don't have experienced bar tenders, so I stick to beers when I dine in.

Green Garden Restaurant
Good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely consider coming back.
I had the pleasure of experiencing this restaurant today. This is Chinese restaurant I've eaten at in a very long time. Their spring rolls are the best I've ever had, period. The rainbow lo mein was outstanding. They serve oolong tea in pots, which is something no restaurant does where I live, so that was a treat. If I could give this review more than 5 stars I would. This is a must dine restaurant.
Lucky Bernie's Woodstock
So I looked on Google Maps for food near me it brought up Lucky Bernie's and I tried to open the door at 4:52 and they're closed even though the sign on the door says they're open. As you can tell there's a whole bunch of crap all over the front of the building maybe they couldn't see that the door was locked 🙄 so I guess if you want to eat here maybe call First to make sure that they're open on a Tuesday during the week 🙄
The environment is really cool here! It's a sandwich place with a bar that looks pretty good! I had an amazing sandwich and a great server!
Sushi King
All you can eat sushi $28.95 We’ll worth it Quality sushi Quick service , clean place. Would recommend
I like to leave an honest review. I was really excited to try this restaurant out. I will definitely will not be going here again. They only like to cater to bigger parties and Alcohol ! Horrible service. Waitress got my order wrong. My shrimp tempura was stale, when I told my waitress, nothing was done about it accept sorry and how will you pay. The only thing good was the salad ! My vegetable tempura was so oily and the only thing temperature hot.
Sakura Japanese Restaurant
From the time we stepped in, till the time we stepped out, the service was horrible. Ignoring us for regular customers who walked in 10 minutes after us being seated (It was not crowded at all). Serving drinks to customers that came in after us, throwing the food on the table 😑 as if that's acceptable behavior to treat customers. The food was ice🥶 cold. Vegan meal was served with shrimp. The lady in the front was extremely disrespectful, screaming at me for asking if they accepted apple/Google/tap pay. This continued when I walked to the front and asked for a to go 📦 box. You can see the remade meal box vs. to-go box. Extremely overpriced. We will never be returning and would never recommend the restaurant to anyone unless you like throwing away your 💰 money, harassment, or unsafe food.
My husband enjoyed the food more than I did, but that isn't the fault of the restaurant. I have texture issues, and this was what caused me to not enjoy the food as much. My husband liked everything and even ate some of mine. I did really enjoy the Golden Shrimp (I forgot to take a picture of that). I also enjoyed the Thai Tea Frappe (forgot to take that pic as well). The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. There were a few odd customers dining in. One customer was dining alone and watching something on his phone without headphones, and it was pretty loud. We were happy when he left. Would have been nice if staff asked him to turn volume down, but in this day and age, can't blame them for not taking the risk of that person being disruptive more so afterwards.
Around the Clock Restaurant
This is the most welcoming Restaurant that I have been to in a long time. You are greeted at the door by a very nice hostess. Your waitress comes promptly and asks for your beverage order. Then she gets your food order. The food is made to order and very delicious. The servings are large. I took half of it home for breakfast the next day. It was nice to be at a breakfast restaurant where manners and gracious dining are still in style!
Food is always good... the French onion soup is reliably great. Service is fast and friendly. Not fancy but always clean and comfortable. I gave only 4 stars for atmosphere because I think people are suspicious of 5 stars across the board. Never a bad meal; hits the spot whenever we're there.
Red House Video Gaming Cafe and Bar
Never went in, BUT I was working next door for hours this past Saturday till around 7pm and saw the same 3 cars. 3 cars over 4 hours isn't good in my eyes. To be fair I'm not gonna give this stars or not
I couldn't even get to the door because of the discomfort I got just looking at the building! This place should be shut down just because of the building! Looks like something out of the chain saw massacre 3 years later I tried it and it was gross!!!! Don't ever go there!
