Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant
Worst sweet and sour chicken I ever had in my life. You should be ashamed Hong kong for taking peoples hard earned money and serving crap. My chicken for my sweet and sour chicken is hard as a rock meaning someone left it in the fryer way way to long. You lost my business and ive been coming to your establishment for years. Not anymore shame on you
I've ordered from here several times, but recently the food has become terrible, but the prices have increased. Dinner cost me $45.00.Last night, I got the Hot & Sour soup. It was like paste with no flavor or spices. The bone in ribs were tough and had no flavor. The Roast Pork Egg Foo Young barely had any pork and tasted like a white handkerchief. Absolutely flavorless. I will definitely be looking for another Chinese restaurant.
China Chef
me and my friend got two entrees with a couple sides. we were very impressed by the portion sizes and high quality ingredients. my beef mei fun had a lot of good tasting beef, carrots, bamboo shoots, lettuce and celery and mushrooms, all for $13. the singaporean chicken noodles has interesting flavor with a lot of chicken, bbq pork, carrots, mushroom celery and lettuce, all for $13. The crab rangoon is also VERY fresh and delicious, the accompanied sweet and sour sauce is also very delicious. We would definitely order from this place again and try the other menu options. The service is very kind, mom and pop shop, and they cook very fast in 10-20 minutes.
Ordered late because I had work. Few places offer combos at night and I love this place now because they offer a small meal for 10$. Amazing pricing Woman was friendly and smiled even though she was the only one on the line at the moment. I had just seen the other person go to the bathroom. Food is awesome.

This restaurant has great potential but needs some work. Let’s start with the food. We dined in and were blown away by the incredible sushi—the best in the area, especially considering Round Lake’s usual fare of hamburgers and fried food. The crab rangoons were out of this world, and the miso soup was delicious, though not served hot. The house Japanese salad was cold, wet, and delicious, the dressing was fantastic, but sparse. Despite these minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The chef is fantastic, and the menu is plentiful for a Chinese/Japanese themed restaurant. They offer an all you can eat Chinese/Japanese menu, but it is expensive for the area at around $32 per person. The staff is also experienced. However, the dining room is very small and split in half with a gaming area, which is unfortunately a major attraction in the Round Lake area. The restaurant is due for a significant redesign update. Unfortunately, they are severely understaffed to handle the influx of carryout orders. There were only six small tables and one large table, and one of the booths was used as an office. We ended up sitting in the cold back corner. The wait for food was long, as it seemed like there was only one chef cooking Chinese and preparing sushi, who had to go back and forth between the kitchen and the sushi bar. Once the food arrived, the presentation was absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. The sushi was expertly prepared and the cuts of sushi were high-grade. We highly recommend dining in. If this restaurant can increase revenue, they should invest in more staff and remove the gaming area. Focus on the exceptional food, as it’s the main draw here. I understand why people complain about their food when ordering out for delivery, it seems like the restaurant may be prioritizing dining room customers over delivery orders. also, this type of food is best served piping hot. We did not experience any problems with the food, and will definitely return to dine in. Investors may be a great opportunity ???
Do NOT eat here!! I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered take out from them and found a worm in my mei fun noodles. Which means their kitchen is either dirty or they don’t wash their vegetables. On top of that the food was not good at all, no flavor. Also, the customer service was terrible. I went in there to tell them I found a bug in my food and to show them the picture, to get a refund for my order since we threw all the food away. Obviously if there are bugs in one dish chances are they are going to be in another. The manager wasn’t there and the lady I talked to didn’t even apologize all she could said was “oh I wasn’t there that day so I don’t know what happened” like whaaaaat??? What do you mean you don’t know what happened. For that to be all she said is crazy. She took down my number and said the manager would call me but I never got a call. So my husband called them late the next day and whoever was there said she could only give us a refund for the noodles since that was the only dish with a bug… refused to give us a full refund even though we had to throw away all our food since we didn’t trust it. Clearly they could care less that we found a bug in our food. It wasn’t a big deal to them at all, didn’t even seem surprised. Absolutely disgusting establishment. I will continue to tell everyone not to eat here.
Panda Express
Worst location. The last time I ordered for pickup they were over 20 minutes late with preparing it. This second time, I order early. The app tells me my pickup time is 1:37pm. I get a text at 1:12 that my order is ready. I’m unable to get there until 1:35 and my order is sitting on a shelf, not a heater or anything. Really gross. The pickup time of 1:37 is written on the receipt, why don’t you make the food closer to that time? Then I checked my food at home. They gave me h chicken instead of the shrimp I ordered (which was more expensive).
This location literally takes one order at a time in the drive thru. Last time I went was 7 months ago and the exact same issue. I sent an email to corporate and never received a comment back. Just tonight we figured to give them another chance. What a mistake. The one order at a time was still in place (see pictures) and the food was so over cooked my wife had to throw away her plate deciding to eat soup instead…. Considering corporate never got back to me in the past I’ll be disputing my credit card charge and won’t be coming back. I’ve tried in the past to provide good faith feedback and clearly corporate or the local location doesn’t care. So why anyone would continue to buy from this location is beyond me……
Lucy Ho's Bamboo Garden Inc
This is the worst Chinese food I have ever purchased as take-out. I ordered from the menu special which included pepper steak and curried chicken among three other entrees. Pepper steak was my choice that came with an egg roll and rice. The pepper steak consisted of mostly cabbage with about 2 pieces of green and yellow peppers. It should have been called cabbage steak. That is not all, there were some pieces of steak along with seemed to be ground beef. The fried rice wasn't up to par either. I was given a sample of the curried chicken to enjoy placed in the to-go box. The sample consisted of two chicken nuggets a piece of chicken so evidently it is a mixture of the two. Finally, the egg roll was soggy. The reviewers gave five stars but that was some time ago. As of today, the food I purchased from this restaurant was misrepresented and was not worth the price. I don't know how the buffet items taste but the items I purchased was a waste of my money.
I went to pick up a menu and was lead to the buffet table to try rice and yummy curry sauce with teriaki chicken and sweet and sour sauce. The owner wanted to make sure I knew what they had so I would come back. Well I came back with my whole family and was treated like family there. Its clean and the food is perfect for the price. I will keep going back and bring more.
Dunkin'
Constantly slow, under staffed, and attitude like crazy from 90% of the staff. Almost gives you that “why are you here” vibe. Guess that’s the Grade A business standard these days.
October 6th. Sunday 5:30pm. Woman refused to sell me a coffee saying "she is done for today". Store should be open until 6pm and it didn't look at all they're closed.
Chop Six Fresh Asian Cuisine
The food is good in my opinion. My main gripes are that I wish they offered more diabetic friendly options like veggies instead of rice and my wife will be very upset to learn they no longer offer lo mien. Service is a bit slow but I understand this isn’t fast food necessarily. It takes them time to prepare food. I think people just like to complain. If there is a long line, you will have to wait. Everyone thinks they’re the main character and it’s annoying!
I've seen glaciers move faster than the staff that work at ChopSix. Genuinely the slowest experience I've ever seen. A large que, then 35 minutes waiting from paying to getting food whilst one person ignores all customers Whilay waisting for a drink refill, staff user the machine for their own drinks whilst standing around chatting.
Foo Noodle Bar Restaurant
The old menu was the best. Not sure what happened the spicy shrimp noodle soup was 🔥 but they no longer make it sad.
After a splendid performance at the Venue, we decided to try Foo Noodle Bar at the Horseshoe Casino. Despite the bustling casino environment, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was clean and modest, setting a comfortable atmosphere for a relaxed meal. The menu, though not extensive, offered a decent selection of dishes. I tried the beef and noodles along with pork egg rolls, while other members of my party sampled a variety of dishes. The food was pleasant and reasonably priced, although not exceptional or gourmet. The service was commendable, with our orders taken and delivered promptly. However, there was some confusion as different staff members were taking drink and food orders, requiring us to repeat our orders. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall service was quite efficient. Considering the convenient location within the casino and the decent quality of food, Foo Noodle Bar offers a satisfactory dining experience. It's a practical choice for a quick, uncomplicated meal after enjoying the casino's entertainment options.
Noodle Bar
This is the most awful meal I’ve ever had. The wait staff is surly and abrupt, the food was way overpriced for what you got. One meal was chicken with rice. The chicken was cold and had been hacked up into pieces with a cleaver bones and all. The pho broth was watery and tasteless, the vegetables had all been dumped in before it came to the table and was heavy on the red onion with very little sliced beef. Another meal was shrimp with vegetables and the vegetables were mostly red and green pepper chunks with a few shrimp. There are very few tables in a small venue and we were seated at a counter which made it difficult to have a conversation. When the food arrived it was plopped down willy nilly and we had to sort out which plate belonged to whom. Please, please don’t eat here. They deserve to go out of business.
