Gum Wah Restaurant
I came in after I was discharged from hospital. I was looking very forward to having your food. The egg foo young was greasy and tasteless. The roast pork fried rice was a degree better but very gummy and greasy. The Rangoons were surprisingly delicious. Egg rolls were old thumbs down. I have been a customer for over 20 years.I wanted this dinner so bad.
This place is SOOOO GOOD. The customer service is great. They get you in & out. Very affordable. Well worth it. I went yesterday and was back again today, my family love this place
Kimbop
The wings were crispy and coated in a sweet and spicy glaze, offering a balance of heat and sweetness. Each piece of sushi had a satisfying amount of fish. I hate when places skimp on the seafood. Will definitely be a return customer.
Update october 2024: IT IS STILL AMAZING!!! come to this place! i have been to others around and none like it! Unfortunately no more korean tacos but still everything else is delish! I have been here before. It is under new management and it is good! Their food is delicious! Today I had the korean tacos (slightly fried corn tortilla which is how the tortillas in mexico are for tacos), bulgogi bowl (has white rice and lettuce with whatever sauce you ask for), chicken ramen with chicken soup base. The atmosphere is cozy and modern. Best Korean restaurant I have been at many. Food is made fresh! The time before this that we came to eat we ordered the bulgogi ramen and shrimp tempura ramen. Spicy soup base. Was so delicious!!!! Definitely coming back!
Hong Kong Lite
We liked it a bit pricey but still delicious! staff is friendly! called order in was ready when they said it was parking is good definitely coming back here love their egg rolls
I’ve been going here for years, and probably will continue. The portions have gotten smaller, and the price keeps going up, but its “sorta” understandable. This was my first order of the, “Large Salt and Pepper Shrimp” and I was not disappointed. Probably one of their best dishes. Overall it’s definitely worth giving the place a go, the food is delicious!
altThai
Ordered for carry out today. Food is great and what an excellent customer service. I went in to collect my order, the man at the checkout was not only super nice but also offered me some extra sauce. I love their vegetable dish and fried egg rolls🥰
Beautiful restaurant with good service. The sausagee appetizer is very delicious, not too spicy. I ordered the Hawaiian chicken, expecting something sweet and spicy, but it was more like sweet and sour chicken. I should have known since it's not a normal Thai dish. Basil Fried Rice was very good, with many vegetables and protein. Pad Kie Mao w/ shrimp lacked flavor and not spicy (reviewed by my Thai wife). My daughter liked the Pad see ew. I asked for Thai Hot for my orders but found it to be maybe medium. I would like to give more than 3 stars, but I've had better.
Ichiban
The food was delicious, and our server Michelle was lovely and polite. When we came in, it wasn't so busy, but over time, it was slowly getting filled. The decorations are a great vibe for the restaurant. I was surprised that not only did they serve Japanese cuisine but Chinese as well.
This place is so hit or miss. One time the avocado in my sushi roll was not ripe at all, it was super hard and inedible. The last time I went there I received black rotted avocado in my Black thunder roll I had to throw it out. I'm not ordering here anymore, it's too risky.
Sushi Thaime
Worst food ever. Never have I eaten Tom yum soup FULL of massive pieces of green peppers! It changed the whole flavor of the soup! You could not taste any of the lemon grass (not sure if there was even any in there) and there was like one mushroom in the whole bowl and no chilies at all. It was terrible. Then on to the Thai rice, it was CURRY rice! And finally the horrible sushi. Even that was full of green peppers and it should not have been in there ( according to the menu). I walked away very disappointed.
Friendly owner and staff. The seaweed salad was yummy! The edamama was good and not too salty like other places. The salmon was great portion size. I ordered the curry which had peanut butter. The chef altered to eliminate the peanuts and it was kinda bland. The veggies and size were good, just not alot of flavor. The cosmopolitan drink was yummy also. I would return it's a cozy atmosphere and I would not alter the curry recipe .
Harmony Chinese Restaurant
I meant to take pictures of the actual meals but we were excited to eat lol. Those are just the pot stickers which were very tasty. They have a bar on one side, video gaming downstairs, hibachi grill on another side (might only be certain days). You can fit like 10 people in their giant booths and food was delicious. They bring out giant portions and even brought us tea. I will definitely be going back. Will add more pictures next time.
Tried out the Harmony 2 restaurant. The place is large, spacious and beautiful. I placed an order to go and while waiting, met the owner Ken. As I was coming from my Tai Chi class, I was wearing our class T-shirt and Ken read the Chinese characters on the back. We talked about martial arts for awhile till my order was ready. I bought home my food and took a picture of the won ton soup, egg fu yung, and gwoe-te (pot stickers) The food was very delicious and plentiful. I will be going back soon! Thank you Ken for the experience!
KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot
Very good service, all of the workers are really friendly. The hot pot was very tasty as well and the place itself is clean, big, and has a nice vibe. There's a side bar that allows you to customize your dipping sauces, making the food taste even better. The drinks are amazing and the bartender is very nice. I ordered the Ocean Water -it's off the menu! I recommend you try it if you like sweet drinks.
The food was really good but for the $40 price per person plus $5 each for the bbq, it could have been seasoned or additional seasoning provided. Fries were really hard and not to many other sides available, only one desert was at the spices bar. No drinks added into the price Everyone had a good time, but since we had to cook it ourselves there could have been more provided on the side Waitress was really cool and helped us order
En Lai Restaurant
I grew up eating Gum Wah down the street … however En Lai is definitely one of my favorite Chinese restaurant to date! Food is always hot. The vegetables are always fresh. They have an awesome lunch special. The prices are equal to what you are getting in return and we believe they have fair prices. Today we had their general tso chicken, which is on the lunch special so it comes with rice (fried or white your choice) a can of soda and vegetable roll! The chicken is cooked to the perfect crisp, sauce on point. We also had the kung pao chicken. The sauce is spicier but too spicy. The chicken is not battered but cut thinly and is so soft and juicy. Mixing the left over sauce and vegetables which all the extra rice I have left was awesome. Super quiet insides but that how we like it :) sorry no food left to show it was too good
Great little spot for take out or quick dine in and relax so far my meals have been delicious. The sweet and sour chicken and red sauce is good. The tofu with mixed vegetables is absolutely delicious. The spring rolls are good and so is the egg rolls. The plain fried rice is ok if I wasn't cheap and added meat id be more happy but delicious food and we are back for second round now will update later.
China House
First time eating here. Ordered sesame chicken dinner and egg rolls. Good size portion and crispy the way I like it. Staff was very pleasant and order took 15 minutes. The store is take out so n/a on atmosphere. I will return to the 143rd Orland restaurant.
This is one of our favorites places for takeout Chinese food.Well worth the visit. They have one of the best shrimp lo mein around, delicious crab rangoon, and their fried rice is one of our favorites as well.
5 Fong Chef
Take out order: Chicken Fried Rice (extra mushrooms & eggs) & Cashew Chicken (extra cashews). The ingredients were really fresh & the size was generous! It also came with a side of white rice & a few fortune cookies. Definitely would recommend!
If you're craving Chinese food, this is the place to order from. The food is always consistent and delicious! The most surprising dishes to me that I will have to keep ordering again and again is the Mongolian Beef and the bubble tea. Of all places, their Taro Bubble Tea is the best I've had in the area and most authentic. It even comes in a cute cup! I've tried the Wonton Soup, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, Singapore noodles and eggrolls. Always get the fried rice, it's addicting! The eggrolls aren't my cup of tea but still tastes pretty decent. I think it'll just depend on your taste. Everything else is stellar!
BIBIBOP Asian Grill
Chipotle style food that combines your choice of veggies & meats, including rice & noodles. Not my thing--the noodles taste weird & the purple rice is sweet. I bought the fan favorite; I'm not a fan. The creamy sauce is a mayo base, ranch dressing-looking squirt of tastelessness. On the plus side, the service was good & the place modern & clean. Move on.
Great experience! We got there a half hour before they closed and the staff was still super friendly! Perfect date night food and then there’s so much to do in the area!
