Lucky Dragon
Visited Lucky Dragon in Justice, everyone there is very nice, we dined in, the location is small but the food is very good. We had the Tuna Tatar, the Hot Girl Roll (spicy), Rocky Roll and the Chicago Roll (sweet). The portions are big, it was fresh, they don't skimp on ingredients. Definitely going again.
Ordered three entrees and crab Rangoon. The entrees were not marked and other than one being chicken we could not tell them apart by taste at all. Mine was supposed to be beef with black bean garlic sauce extra spicy. It was not only not spicy, it had a weird sharp sour after taste that became unbearable. The crab Rangoon had no flavor and were over cooked. Unfortunate because the actual quality of ingredients seemed good. Let's talk about the driver. He went to two other houses before mine. He called me both times saying he was here then had me give him my address again, only to still pull into a driveway down the street then have an attitude once finally reaching me. Will not be spending any more money at this establishment.
Lucky Bamboo Inc
This place has really gone down. The inside is falling apart and they have tables by the door that keep you from seeing the kitchen or waking up to the counter. The lady who serves your food looks dirty and exhausted. The food was not even piping hot and the was not seasoned. I will not be spending anymore money here. Orange chicken dry, broccoli mushy, fried rice is not fried. Crab Rangoon tasted weird. Egg rolls were big and decent. But everybody’s stomach was hurting after we ate their food. They need to let well enough be well enough and shut it down.🤮 (See thru on western is way better they just have smaller egg rolls, but at least your stomach will not hurt after eating there.) Runaway !!!! I’m just trying to save someone.🙏🏾
I love this restaurant. The literal best Chinese food around! The owner's are fantastic, extremely dedicated and hard working people. I really enjoy the Sweet and Sour Chicken, the Hong Kong Chicken, and the Honey Shrimp. Very unique dishes. The food is ready very fast and is also really well packaged for my commute. A total gem of a place to eat! I highly recommend.
Gen Hoe 1 Restaurant
Great Chinese place carry out only. One of the best parts is you can get the lunch and dinner specials on the weekend also. I’ve been going here for a long time and highly recommend it.
Some would call this a Hole in the Wall, but do not be deceived by its appearance. Gen Hoe is quite excellent. The service was great, The staff was kind, and the food was just right. We had piping hot Sweet and Sour Chicken which was just the way I like it. We also had Chicken Fried Rice and Egg Rolls, both were awesome. Don't sleep on this place.
Chiu Quon Bakery
Chi Quon Bakery is a charming spot with a wide variety of frozen and freshly baked goods, including buns, cakes, and pastries. The quality is solid, with options that cater to both sweet and savory cravings. It’s a cash-only place, but there’s an ATM on-site, which is convenient if you’re unprepared. The cashier speaks some English, so it helps to know what you want to keep things smooth. There’s street parking nearby, making it easy to pop in. We stopped by specifically for the douhua, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available this time.
I stopped in here for a mid-day snack. Unfortunately, I found both the custard bun and wife cake I had to be entirely bland in flavor and uninteresting in texture. The bun lacked bounciness and the wife cake flakiness and both lacked sweetness and aroma. I was here early in the morning so the pastries didn't seem old at all, just not very good. I would try another place over this.
Kam's Chop Suey
I’ve been coming here for years and the food was always good. I went there today and everything tasted different. I called to inquire if there was a new chef, new management and although the staff seemed nice, I do not believe it is the same management nor chef. I won’t be going back, food is totally different, not as good as before. My standing order is Mongolian chicken with egg roll.
Has been my go to Chinese restaurant since 2018. The most consistent and reliable Chinese food, in my opinion, in the area. I will say after the recent staff change the food has been slightly different. More so the fried items, (crab Rangoon, egg rolls, etc) they’re so greasy now. I’m just wondering what has changed.
New China Express
This restaurant is a very clean, friendly service. I ordered on the phone for pickup the gentleman who took my order was very nice and when I can in for my order he was in the back he came out looked around called me by name and thanked me for my order great great service and the food was more than enough I will definitely be back 🙂. I had shrimp egg food young, big, and filling by itself. shrimp fried rice, extra onions and beans sprouts were so good, and lots of shrimp 2 egg rolls filling was plentiful, very meaty.. this was Monday December 23. I went back December 26 got this shrimp fried rice beef and broccoli with mushrooms the food was hot and good had a guest with me we will be back
Bought beef and broccoli. Got 15 pounds of broccoli and gravy.
Grand Chinese Kitchen
Food has fell off tremendously! Ordered a veggie egg rolls because of seafood allergies & found shrimp😵 also they were very burnt🤢
I ordered Shrimp egg foo young Shrimp fried rice and vegetable egg rolls. The Shrimp egg foo young was bland and had to use all 3 of the soy packets that was given to me. The eggrolls were a tad bit better but had to use 2 packets of the sweet and sour sauce I had to ASK for. The SCORCHED BURNT FLAVORLES (unless scorched was the flavor)SHRIMP FRIED RICE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! What a waste of $22! I'm taking it back tomorrow(due to them being closed when I got home). The only bright spot was the nice cashier which was a surprise. Most Chinese cashiers in minority ares have attitudes. That niceness might change after tomorrow. I'll let you guys know.
Hua's Open Kitchen
Service was fast… but my god… This 6 piece chicken wing was the absolute worst. I was missing this neighborhood I grew up in for 15 years. So god damn disgusting. I have no clue what quality assurance or where it went wrong, for almost 14 dollars. This was the worst. It really used to be a great place.
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh…. I’m blew…. They really did split my wing up and make my 3 wings a 6 piece …Petttttyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy…. This is not cool.. why am I paying for 6 wings and getting 3 broken in half? TF?! Na… y’all was a fav now I have to move around 🤦🏾♀️
Noodles Etc
The fried tofu and beef salad are amazing. Ramen and pho are okay. All attendants are very friendly and helpful.
Great taste, great food. Horrible and unfriendly service. Quite frankly, the staff couldn't care less. Still, the food is worth your time and money. The curry options are delicious and you can customize how spicy your order will taste. All food tastes very Thai and it is a great experience if you consider the flavor regardless of the poor service.
Eto'o Modern Asian Cuisine
Little cute crab rangoons have a crispy crunch and filled with flavor (and filling). Massaman curry broth was on point. Potatoes and carrots could be softer and there could be more rice. The special fried rice with tamarind and fried shrimp was very tasty and good texture. Good size Thai iced tea. Flavor on point.
The food was pretty good! The place seemed to be an Asian fusion. The customer service was good too! Definitely would recommend; they give huge portions and tastes good too! One small thing is I didn’t really like how they made the spring egg rolls, as it was mainly just vegetables and tasted bland, but other than that really good!
Chant Restaurant In Hyde Park
I was really looking forward to my online order of fried rice, but unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The rice itself was burnt and had a distinct burnt taste that overwhelmed any other flavors. It was a shame, as I've had good experiences with this restaurant in the past. Watch out when ordering online. They don't seem to mind what they send out.
It is a great restaurant... the service was very attentive to the timing of the meal. The menu has great choices for a wide range of diners. I had butter chicken, and we also tried the tempura-fried green tomatoes. Great flavor in both dishes I would come back.
Saucy Porka Hyde Park
I got the monkey fries from here that were mad flavorful. Made with ground beef, and cheese with this mayo-based sauce over seasoned fries. 8.8. I also got this decent duck gumbo too. The broth lacked flavor kinda bland but wasn't terrible thou. 7.9. Overall I like the setup and this place has some interesting items on the menu worth checking out. 8.5.
I was so satisfied with this place, I HAD to run it back the next day. Day 1 I had Bacos. The pork one was nothing special. The shrimp was probably my fav. I enjoyed the corn salsa that came on it. The duck baco was delicious as well. I could probably eat these everyday. Day 2- I ordered the duck and shrimp bacos. 🤷🏾♀️ Anyway, I wanted to try something different so I ordered the gumbo with duck and added shrimp for an extra charge. Now the gumbo was tasty, however, I would not call it a gumbo because it did not have okra. The word “gumbo” literally means okra. Also, it was a little too thin for me. I know I’m nitpicking, but it is what it is. Would I ordered again? Yes, and that’s all that matters.
