Chef Xiong - Taste of Szechuan

Ummmm everything was delicious. I’m so glad we came. It was so flavorful and the dishes came out in perfect timing!! Ordered the - green beans - mapo tofu - pork fried rice - Chongqing popcorn chicken (not pictured) - Mongolian beef

Wasn't very impressed with the Mongolian beef and fried rice. The rice was too oily and beef could have used more spice or flavor. Maybe I got the average batch, but overall food was nothing special.

Imperial Restaurant

Great food, great service, grade place. The restaurant was full. We registered our name to be called when a table became available. We only waited about 5 minutes & we were in. The people were getting up from the table when we arrived. The table needed to be clean but the waiters & waitresses worked very fast. And in no time we were sitting & ordering already.

A traditional banquet hall-style dim sum restaurant with efficient service and comforting dim sum options. I particularly enjoyed the beef tripe, steamed rice rolls, dumplings, and rice noodles.

Located on the 2nd floor in Chinatown square. Mostly we come for dimsum, however we came for dinner to celebrate a special occasion with family. We ordered many typical Cantonese style dishes. Everything was good for the dishes we ordered.

It's maybe $30-$50/per person. But I accidentally ordered too much, so it was $430 for 8 of us. Most of the food/dimsum I ordered were tasty. We like the roasted duck, dumplings, squid,.... But the Xiaolongbao was disappointed. It was too salty. I accidentally ordered too much so the staff packed the remainder into boxes to take home. However, when we got back to the hotel, we discovered that they did not give us chopsticks and dipping sauce. If you are in the same situation as us, you should tell them you want more dipping sauce and chopsticks. I think it wasn't too expensive because we packed the remaining food and brought it back to the hotel for breakfast the next day. So the 8 of us got 2 meals for $430.

Lao Sze Chuan

We had a great lunch at Lao Sze Chuan in Chicago’s Chinatown! Went with a group, and while the service was a bit delayed, the food was absolutely worth the wait – every dish was packed with flavor, authentic, and delicious. Perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy tasty Chinese cuisine. Despite the slower service, I’d definitely recommend it for the quality of the food!

This place was very good. Service was great and portion sizes were just right.
