Went with a friend for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant wasn't busy. We were seated quickly. The staff are friendly and helpful. Empty water glasses were refilled quickly. Sidewalk seating was nice. Menu has too much of too many styles. It's pricey for the quality of the food. We ordered crab rangoon, eggrolls, and General Tsao's chicken. The eggrolls were overcooked and greasy. The inside had a decent filling, though the flavor was too light. The crab rangoon are cream cheese wontons with diced onion. They are meagerly filled and without much flavor. The accompanying plum/duck sauce is also light in flavor. The general tsao's was crunchy, and the chicken was overcooked. The sauce quantity was too much. The chicken at the bottom of the bowl was soaking in sauce. It wasn't very spicy. The rice was dry. Probably won't return.

We really enjoyed the food and service! Grace at the bar was awesome and helped us make some good food choices! Best Thai and best Sushi restaurant in Lakeview!

It’s decent food for the price. Fresh and enough flavour. I liked the Korean wings. I also had a lunch menu with drunken noodles. Considering it’s a starter+main+drink for under 15$ it was a good choice, but don’t expect a lot of protein, unfortunately not even many veggies. But it tasted good. My partner had orange chicken, it did have orange taste and was in the sweetest side, I am not a fan of sweet but not spicy (although he is) so I personally can’t say I would order it for myself.

The food was ok. I say that based on extensive time in Thailand mainly the Isarn region where I have an apartment. Ironically the high end Thai restaurants in town are not as good as this little place so while I give a 3 the expensive places called Thai that are more like Chinese, Issues are, they want westerners to eat there! Go figure. What will bring me back to Che Thai was the customer service from , TK, Tiki very sweet, kind and helpful, she brightened my day. Kop Khun Krup! .

We ate here for the first time on Saturday! Everything tasted so amazing. My favorite was the emerald gyoza and Rama noodles but the crab rangoons was another table favorite. The vibes were good and our waiter was especially friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember his name! I cannot wait to go back and try more things, and some cocktails, they looked so fun. Also - I absentmindedly left my phone on the table and they called my sister (who made the reservation) immediately and got it back right away. Truly made my life so much easier and I really appreciate how they went above and beyond!

Excellent dinner and happy hour spot! We enjoyed the happy hour specials, while everything was very good, the chicken wings were spectacular and worth coming back for alone. The white sangria ($7 during happy hour) was light and refreshing. The brisket chow mein was delicious and a generous portion. Service was quick and attentive. Will return!

Tasty Asian Restaurant

Total hole in the wall type place, and the dining area is pretty small, but has some of the bar none best Chinese food in the area at really good prices. Vegetable fried rice here is my personal high water mark for the dish anywhere.

I'm honestly really shocked about some of these 5 star reviews which lead us to trying this restaurant for the first time today. Perhaps we just got a bad batch but we didn't like anything we ordered. The pad thai was definitely not like a typical pad thai, tasted pretty saucy and artificial—and was also very orange? Fried rice didn't taste very fresh, and the Szechwan chicken was both bland and way too peppery (and not in a good spicy way). Pretty disappointed and sadly won't be returning...

Food was great and came out really fast. I give this restaurant a lower rating because the service was very bizarre. Hostess sat us without a reservation, which was very kind, considering it was just before dinner rush. However, she did not let us know that we could only use the table for an hour. Without this being explained, our server kept coming to our table to take our plates even when we weren’t finished. She came around to us around every 10 minutes. It was not even close to closing and we felt like we were being rushed out. She checked twice after two minutes to see if we put our card out to pay, when she just gave us the check. Had someone communicated the rush to us or that the table was reserved at a certain time, they would not have gotten this rating. It was so subversive. We did not get a clear explanation for why they were rushing us until I asked flat out. If you couldn’t seat us or if we had a limited time, it would have been nice to let us know. Maybe we could have gotten a reservation or come back another time.

The food was very good. I will say it's a bit pricey but totally worth it and the portions they give are very reasonable. Cocktails are tasty and presented nicely I'll definitely be back to try more items!

When I walked in the door the smell of mango and pineapple was delightful. This restaurant is very fresh. They offer a lot of fresh fruit smoothies and boba tea. I ordered the General chicken lunch special. I paid $2.00 extra to have fried rice. It was very good . I also ordered a crab ragoon. Also very good. I wish they had a smaller order you only have one order of six. I will definitely be back they have great flavors and are very fresh. They have Coke products, and have can pop.

Western Union sponsored my fortune cookie. My fortune said, "Your heritage and values define your journey - embrace them as you move forward". Then on the back there was an ad for Western Union. I don't want my fortune to be sponsored, but maybe this is just the world I need to get adjusted to. Any unused space is wasted space. Instead of just having things be, we should look for how things can be used to promote a message. So that's what I've started doing. There is so much wasted space on grave tombstones. Instead of just having a person's name, birthday, deathday, and small quote...why not throw in an ad. "Allstate, you're in good hands", that could be reassuring for loved ones and could drive business for Allstate, win win. If you want a sponsorship on your tombstone, first you have to live a life worth sponsoring. No company is going to sponsor a tombstone that is getting zero views, that's just bad business. They need the best cost per view. A person that positively impacts a bunch of people throughout their lifetime is going to drive way more traffic to their tombstone than someone who isolates themselves from the world. Anyway, the advertisement in my fortune cookie threw me off, but it didn't take anything away from how amazing these Korean vegetable dumplings were.

MOMO FACTORY (Lake View)

First time trying Nepalese food and it was amazing! Got the Combo Bowl with the noodles. When I called to place the order, they said that they had run out of pork curry (maybe this shows how good they are!), but would switch it to lamb curry free of charge! It was a nice gesture that I appreciated very much. The lamb was very tasteful, and the bowl itself was very filling! The momos were absolutely amazing. Packed with flavor and definitely a mouthful. Definitely a great deal and would come back again! Came out to a little under $14 after tax

The highlight for everyone was the amazing mango lassi that was thick and not too sweet. I got the chili veggie momos, which were flavorful and came with onion, bell peppers, and tomatoes in a delightful spicy sauce. The filling was flavorful and the momos were steamed very nicely. Customer service was kind and attentive. I will say that when they say spicy they mean spicy, and I love spice. People who don’t do well with spice will likely find the spicy very hot. If you like spice then you’ll be in for a treat!

Jin Asian Cafe

Great Chinese food at a reasonable price. The Governor’s chicken was tender and flavorful. The combo fried rice was flavorful.

Found out about Jin Asian Cafe from a local Facebook Group. It’s one of if not the ONLY place in Chicago that has ABC- Almond Boneless Chicken (War Su Gai) which is a Southeastern Michigan / Northern Ohio staple. I ordered it immediate and was blown away by how deliciously authentic they prepared it - just like what I grew up with in Michigan. Crispy breading, tender chicken, and mouthwatering gravy. Jessica the owner was so welcoming and recommended other specialities which I’ll try on the next visit. Definitely check it out!

Possibly my new favorite late night spot?? 🤔 This place is amazing if you're looking for plentiful options that satisfy your late night (and any time) cravings. Sizable portions, great flavor, and classic Chinese yumminess.

I had driven past this spot so many times and as a New Yorker in diaspora it reminded me of the thousands of hole in the wall Chinese restaurants we have in NYC, a restaurant category that in my head I associate with easy to cook, consistent, delicious and cheap food. I ordered chicken and broccoli because it’s simple and delicious and it was my favorite dish at these spots since I was a child, when I took my first bite of my chicken and broccoli I was surprised by a dominant flavor of shrimp, something that has always disgusted me, something that chicken and broccoli just shouldn’t ever taste like. They must have cooked it in a wok that they had just previously cooked shrimp in and not had cleaned the wok. Absolutely unacceptable and absolutely disgusting. The cold sesame noodles, another dish that should be even harder to F up was the worst cold sesame noodles I’ve had in my entire life (a dish I’ve ordered hundreds of times). I called them and told them about the chicken broccoli and they gave me a refund for that dish only, which deserves some respect but anyhow my food was inedible. Don’t come here

First time here and was surprised by the stuff not greeting me back!!! we ordered one meal to try (boneless spare ribs) it was served as a dish of rice with boneless pork next to a wonton soup… honestly speaking; soup was served warm not hot enough and almost tasteless! when it comes to rice and boneless pork it was very hard to chew and won’t do it again.

Sometimes you just crave saucy Chinese food and this place always hits - fellow Asians you know what I’m sayinnn👌 Eating their lo mein as we speak with Mongolian beef. Lunch special is GREAT value. I live nearby so the fact that I can order online and pick up my food in 10 minutes is incredible - they’re always ready and kind!
