WORST CHINESE FOOD IN PERTH!! my bf ordered from here on accident we usually go somewhere else but I HAD an open mind. Until I found a rubber band in my food tostones we’re not right tasted old and bad(as u could see I literally spit it out). Bottom of the bag had strange liquid in it and on the bottom of it which was a huge mess. My bf got ribs and told me not to eat it bc they tasted bad old and dry as beef jerky from 7/11 🤮 I’m very upset me and my bf were celebrating our anniversary. If u want Chinese in Perth go to tai hang or new china king both places never disappointed me and we’re very good on multiple different occasions and quick. This place took an hour to prepare this garbage. Nothing was good here and this was my first time I will make a point to never go here again 0 stars call the health department 😷😷.

It's 1:13pm and the restaurant just recently opened. They served me Crunchy old General to's chicken with discolored Broccoli. Please don't eat from here. Then when I called she told me General To's is crunchy 🤬

The food is as great as it was when we used to go to the old location! Great family friendly restaurant. Food is fantastic and the service is amazing! 10/10 would recommend! Forgot to take before photos! But as you can see we devoured everything!

Happy to have found a legit Sichuan restaurant in Providence. The Chongquig chicken was light on the Sichuan peppercorn (Mala) but was plenty spicy and tasted awesome. The soup dumplings are good too. My one complaint is probably the prices - about 10% higher than I expected. Definitely going back to try more dishes.

Solid spot. Not the best but good enough. I didn’t like the fried wontons and anything that has breading (chicken finger, shrimp) - Something was off with the breading so I’ll skip all this next time. But other than that, rice was good, lo-mein was good and not too greasy, and I actually loved the egg rolls. Sesame chicken was good too. I got delivery and it was straightforward good service.

The food is amazing, sadly staff attitude is horrendous, it pains me to stop going there, but there's only so much disrespect I can handle, especially as a paying customer.

This Cantonese restaurant is truly exceptional, offering an authentic taste of the region's culinary artistry. Every dish is meticulously prepared, with fresh ingredients that bring out the natural flavors, and the balance of seasoning is perfect. The dim sum is especially remarkable, with each bite offering a delicate, mouthwatering experience that transports you to the heart of Canton. The seafood is always impeccably fresh, and the attention to detail in presentation adds to the overall experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a refined yet comfortable setting that enhances the dining experience. This place beautifully captures the essence of Cantonese cuisine, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a true gastronomic delight.

Had an amazing lunch here with friends and the food/service exceeded all our expectations. We had a big group and were seated in the back, ideal for a larger party. Large variety of dimsum, but the main dishes stole the show, super flavorful and fresh! PS. my favorite was the fried milk and fried tofu. Both are crunchy on the outside and extremely soft on the inside 🤤🤤

I have been coming to this place for years and I’m sorry I’m just coming around to writing a review. It has been a favorite in the neighborhood ever since I moved here in 2020. My most recent experience was on a Friday night. My partner and I were able to walk right in and I couldn’t believe it was empty. I do, however, get this as takeout more regularly than I do go and sit down. We were greeted immediately and we had our pick of seats. The staff quickly brought water and took our order as soon as we were ready. First off, the dry aged beef potstickers are the absolute best I’ve had without a doubt. Juicy, tasty, perfectly crispy on the outside. If you get nothing else, get these. We also had the Shanghai Belly noodles which were outstanding. The “worst” thing we had was a chicken bun, which was really good but couldn’t compete with the other things. Overall, if you’re in the neighborhood please checkout this place for a quick snack or a delicious Chinese meal!

I had great expectations for this place seeing that it may be the best dumplings but it was so disappointing. It smelled delicious as they were cooking inside and I love dumplings but these were just ... ok. Super pricey for the amount of food you are getting, too. Their bubble tea was not great neither...

Ordered chicken lo mein and dumplings. The dumplings came out fried, was surprisingly good so I didn’t say anything. I showed her a picture of chicken lo mein attached to this review and the other image is what she brought out. I asked 3 times before ordering if it will look like this, and she said yes.The chicken was undercooked, there was no flavor in the “lo mein”, and it looked nothing like the photos. My bf and I decided to give it a chance and took a bite and I know it’s really rude to spit out food but we did respectfully. I asked the waitress 3 times after she delivered if this was the correct order and she said yes. After sitting and not eating any of it for 10 minutes we finally waved her down. Keep in mind, only 2 tables inside. I asked her if it’s possible to send it back politely. She said since we both took a bite, we have to pay. She continued to get loud and yell at us, and bring attention to our table. We were very polite. I said I will pay for what I ate, the dumplings. There was obviously spat out food on our plates. I’ve never been so unsatisfied. I paid and left. Prior to leaving , I told her that the dumplings were really good though and I still tipped.

I loved the dim sum. It was hot, tasted fresh, lots of filling, not greasy or soggy. Three dim sum is a large portion. The service was quick and the prices, I think, were reasonable. One large portion was $6.95. The server gave me the menu with photos, which I found really helpful.

Doordashed from here and while portions are ok size the food is flavorless. Ordered the spicy chicken and asked for extra spicy but it had no spice. Not 1 pepper found. In addition the lo me in was flavorless and mushy. Pu pu platter was ok on egg rolls but wings appeared undercooked. In addition they left out my ribs appetizer that was ordered. Definitely would order from some of the other local Chinese places and avoid this one.

Just had the worst experience ever. Ordered my food. Cook was playing with cell phone, put on his hat, hands touched his hair, etc. He began cooking without washing his hands. Then he grabbed a handful of broccoli from the cooler and put it directly in the pot. ALL OF THE ABOVE WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS!! I immediately asked for a refund. He was offended that I asked for a refund. He said he didn't know why I wanted a refund. I explained to him that he was not following the proper food handling procedures. His excuse was that the hot water in the pot was cleaning the broccoli. He didn't understand that fact of him crabbing raw food with his unwashed bare hands... BEWARWE!!

Shan

We went here for dinner. It was very busy, so we sat at the bar. The layout is a typical NYC street restaurant. The food was awesome, as well as the services. We truly enjoyed our dining experience there. The waiters and waitresses seem all in their 20s, very enthusiastic on what they do and very friendly, always with a smile! The dishes are more on the Sichuan style but they all spoke Cantonese and Mandarin. They are a creative set of drinks, a bit pricy but perhaps normal in NYC. We ordered a shrimp dish and the waiter considerately asked us if we prefer to peel the shrimp shells off before cook them. We really appreciate it. The spicy chicken was also really good. Highly recommended!

Shan was a very cute and quaint restaurant. The moment we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with a mouthwatering fragrance of Chinese food. The staff were very nice and welcoming! The level of service here was top-notch, we didn’t even have to ask the staff to refill our water - the moment our water was running low, the staff came and replaced the water jug! The soup dumplings were soo good! The dumpling wrappers were handmade and thin, showcasing the expertise of their chefs in the back. The soup and the filling were so flavorful that I did not need much vinegar at all! The spicy cumin lamb was quite spicy - a little too spicy for my tastebuds, but it smelled incredible! If you have a low spice tolerance, I would avoid this dish or ask for less spice. The stringbeans were so delicious! We demolished the plate of stringbeans. It was so flavorful and full of umami! The taste was so addicting and we couldn’t help ourselves from eating more and more! The beef noodle soup was really tender and warms you right up, with just the right amount of spice. The desserts were so delicious as well! I personally loved the ice lychee jelly! It was not too sweet and the foam on top reminded me of a very light icecream! The rice cakes were yummy as well - but they tend to stick to your teeth, so just a word of caution there! Overall, the experience here was great! It would be a cute spot to bring someone on a date!

Akbar’s Takeout

About a year ago I was practically living in Poughkeepsie. I am talking 24/7 for several weeks. I ate breakfasts, lunches and dinners at Akbar’s almost daily. Everything I ordered was always delicious and prepared by some of the friendliest and most genuine people you will ever have the pleasure to meet. If you are in the area you must give them a chance and if you are not in the area, find a reason to be there. You won’t regret it!!

Ordered 2 hot dogs w/ spicy mustard and a banana pudding. The hot dogs are fresh and cooked nicely, made to order.

As I was trying to finish the rice (first time ordering from here) , I noticed something shaped like a mouse poop. At first I thought it was a burned rice. I tried breaking it in half. If it was rice it would have broken easily even though its burned. But it was very hard to break. If you notice on the other 2 photos how this yellow liquid came out of it. I smelled it and it has a nasty strong smell. I recommend everyone not to waste money to get yourself very sick . I don’t write reviews, I usually never do but I’m disgusted. I threw up a few times already & if I can do good for others I will. There’s plenty of other restaurants you can get clean food!!!! always make sure to eat and look at your food .

Don't risk your health, it's a disgusting place, they serve rotten food! The meat was green and smelled disgusting. They also did not want to return the money. In my experience they should close this restaurant, it is dangerous for the community.

Ting Hua

Really great neighborhood Chinese takeout. Great quality great portions extremely fast delivery. Lovely owners. I often ask for spicy and light on sauce and haven’t been let down.

I have bought lunch from Ting Hua twice and each time its made to order. They have not disappointed me yet. Now while, I am use to sizable potions, you'll get enough to tease you into buying a larger size. It's a clean, nice staff, and the food is on point. What more can you ask for?
