Dumpling Factory
Small menu with classic flavors. We tried the shrimp/chicken/pork and chive, the chicken and shiitake, and pork and napa cabbage. We got them pan fried but can also get boiled. All were very good. It gives asian comfort food, almost like a Ba Fang.
My mom and I enjoyed the 2 dishes we ordered. Taste is definitely different but it's really good. The pork belly dish is smaller portions in my experience and dumplings are a good size to share. My mom and I shared an order of rice and were able to be full that way. Hope that helps!
Royal Palace Restaurant
Absolutely terrible experience. From the moment we walked through the door, the smell of cat urine should have made us turn around and head back out. For the $15.95 weekend buffet price it is not at all worth it. We got there just as they were setting out for dinner and there wasn't many options to choose from. We were told they would bring more out and over the next 45 minutes they brought out maybe 4 different things. All the food tasted old and they had none of the traditional items you would expect to find at a Chinese buffet. There "fresh" fruit was not at all fresh and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. I steered clear of that and stuck with the canned fruit instead. This was the cheaper of the options available for Chinese buffets but it was still way to overpriced for what you get. The restaurant itself is run down and the floors, tables, and even the kitchen looked filthy. The only good thing I can say about my experience was that the employees were nice but the service was almost nonexistent and the food absolutely gross. If you were hoping to get some ice cream, don't hold your breath because the machine is out of order.
Very clean location, service was great and friendly. The food we ordered was a bit watered down not as flavorful as other places. They have a buffet 7 days a week between 11am-2pm for 24.00 haven't tried it yet bit nay try it for the 2nd attempt of food taste.
House Of Wong Restaurant
This is a little different for me since I am conflicted. The food was good but not great. It appeared to be adequately prepared, and the flavor was good, but the beef was gristley, which shows a lower cut of meat. I will say this is better food than what you get at a chain restaurant.
My partner and I came in on a complete whim just to try without looking at any reviews beforehand, and it was dead empty inside, but we still felt like being adventurous and ordered a few things. Was definitely subpar Chinese-American food, but it was certainly an experience. The hot sour soup was not sour at all and not really hot either đ the mango pudding didn't taste whatsoever of mango (or anything for that matter) and was a concerning neon shade of orange. Some things were not bad- the gongbao squid and almond tofu with canned lychee for example. Maybe best as takeout for a comfort food craving, but there's choke options on island that will likely satisfy better!
Salt Lake Chinese Restaurant
I ordered chow mein, char siu, two dinner plates and seaweed fishcake soup. The food lacked flavor. There wasnât enough seasoning on any of the dishes. The crispy gaugee was crispy but even that had little flavor. The only way to know if the food is good is to order it, now I know. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The restaurant is conveniently located with ample parking.
No wait, plenty of tables, very clean. The waitress was great and fast! She had tea hot & ready. When our duck and bao came out she served us. She also served us our first bowl of egg drop soup. Definitely going to be a repeat customer â€ïž
Miss U Food Bar
Itâs a pretty basic meal not the fanciest but a great bargain for Waikiki. I ordered though Uber eats and got the spicy shrimp with crispy chicken under a two for one deal. It was $20 for two plates, which is unheard of in Waikiki nowadays.
Ordered breakfast through Door dash. Pancake, egg and bacon with a coffee and banana smoothie - you can see from the pics but the bacon is undercooked, so is the pancake and the eggs...well, yea - I tossed it all. Never tried the coffee
Panda Express
3/2023 Didn't take a pic of my plate because I woofed it down, but, like any other Panda I've been to, they rock it. I'm particularly glued to the wok masters when I go, but the upfront service is ALWAYS quick, courteous, friendly, and helpful. It would have to be considering the amount of volume they do. Keep up the great work in these challenging times. I'll try and remember to take a pic of my food next time before I devour my food. đđ€âïž 7/2023 Winnie, July, and Anna, very QSR savvy. They're quick, courteous, and efficient, just how you have to be in today's world of food service. Always a go-to at some point in the month. 3 choice dinner for $12.50, you're foolish if you go anywhere else regularly. Great work, including the two hard-working chefs! đđđȘđ€âïž 1/2024 Still kicking it in the New Year! Live the grub!! đđ€âïž
Too little meat in the beef dishes. Too much fried batter and skin in the sour chicken.... Barely warm entrees.
Mandarin Kitchen
Do Not Buy Food From Here!! We went here yesterday 11/11/23 1. My son wanted fried dumplings (picture menu on their window), they gave us deep fried Gau Gee instead. He couldn't eat it. I went back inside to pick up my food the 2nd time, asked them why the difference? They said they didn't have fried dumplings. 2. Main issue: I was craving for cold ginger chicken on rice. Ginger sauce was in a Togo container so I didn't pour it over my chicken, but the chicken already have weird smell, and slimy to the touch, one small bite, I knew it's old chicken. I went back and the cashier asked me if I pour the sauce over (pour the sauce over, you may not be able to tell the foul smelling). They said they would make me a new one. I told them with the chicken from the same batch? I don't want it. They said new chicken. I ate half yesterday, and was to eat the leftover today. Just opening the box, the foul smell exploded in my kitchen. Rotten. I called the restaurant to tell them to get rid of it if they have any left before they make people sick. Not acceptable. They intended to serve me bad food. The chicken today has pink/orange slim on it, slimy to the touch.
Pretty decent takeout Chinese food... definitely better than some of other ones I have tried. Their noodle dishes were the best and my mom loves their fish filet dish. Roast duck and salt and pepper pork chop were mediocre... will try some different dishes next time so that I can find a dish that I would love to get everytime. đ
Aina Haina Chop Suey
The food wasnât good. They gave me the incorrect order and told me i should just try it anyway. They also gave my order to the wrong table. Even though I was extremely annoyed I was simply willing to pay and leave, until the owner ran outside after me to demand that I tip, which I refused. She said ânext time eat your food outsideâ. It felt extremely prejudice and aggressive. I usually tip but in no way is it expected with bad service and bad food quality. Very entitled, and unprofessional owner. Do not eat here, the food didnât even come out hot.
They advertise a happy hour meal special until 5pm but when I go in at 4:30 they claim it ends at 4. The sign outside the building says 5pm. Nothing inside has prices, so you will be surprised when you get the bill. Especially given the quality and size of the meal given. Food was alright, service not amazing, wouldnât recommend. I donât usually write these but I had a particularly poor experience here.
Panda Express
If youâre in Honolulu and looking for a quick, satisfying meal, Panda Express at the Royal Hawaiian Center is a solid option. Known for its fast-casual Chinese-American cuisine, Panda Express delivers a consistent experience no matter where you are, and the location at the Royal Hawaiian Center is no exception. I recently visited and tried the Teriyaki Chicken with Rice and Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles. Video Review will be posted on Tik Tok and Instagram soon @Foxyappetite Detailed breakdown of my experience: Teriyaki Chicken with Rice The Teriyaki Chicken with Rice was exactly what I expectedâa comforting and flavorful meal thatâs quick and satisfying. The chicken was tender and well-cooked, with a nice char from the grill, which added a subtle smoky flavor. The teriyaki sauce was sweet, sticky, and slightly tangyâclassic Panda Express styleâbut not overly heavy. The rice, served as white steamed rice, was soft and fluffy, acting as the perfect base for the dish. While the flavors were predictable, they were well-executed, making for a satisfying plate. Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles For those looking to switch things up a bit, I also tried the Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles. The noodles had a slightly stir-fried flavor and were cooked to just the right textureânot too soggy, but with enough bite. The teriyaki sauce soaked into the noodles nicely, giving them a rich flavor without being too greasy. The chicken in this bowl was the same as the other dishâtender and flavorfulâand it paired well with the noodles. While the dish was tasty, the noodles were a bit on the oily side, which made it feel a touch heavier compared to the rice option. Portion Size and Value For the price, Panda Express offers decent portion sizes. The dishes are filling, and the combination of protein and carbs makes for a satisfying meal. At around $10 for each entree (with rice or noodles), itâs a reasonable option in the heart of WaikÄ«kÄ«, especially for a quick, filling meal. The servings were generous, and you certainly get your moneyâs worth in terms of quantity. Service and Atmosphere The service at Panda Express was efficient, with a friendly staff behind the counter. Itâs a fast-casual spot, so donât expect a leisurely sit-down experience, but the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, ideal for grabbing a meal before or after exploring the Royal Hawaiian Center or nearby areas. The line moved quickly, and the food was ready in a short amount of time. The restaurant itself is clean and bright, with a modern, fast-food vibe. Overall Experience Panda Express at the Royal Hawaiian Center offers a reliable and quick meal option if youâre looking for comfort food while on the go. The Teriyaki Chicken with Rice was simple but flavorful, and the Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles added a nice variation with the stir-fried noodles. Both dishes were satisfying, and while they arenât particularly unique or innovative, they deliver on taste and portion size. If youâre in the area and craving something quick and easy, this is a solid choice, especially considering the convenience and location. In short, itâs not a gourmet experience, but if youâre after a fast, tasty, and filling meal, Panda Express at the Royal Hawaiian Center is a reliable spot to hit.
It's a nice location for a food court and I was pleased with the service. I found the vegetables well cooked still firm and not soft. I liked the mushroom chicken but found the beef and broccoli had way more broccoli than beef. Overall, I will be back.
On On Chinese Restaurant
I might be generous rating a three for this restaurant. From the second I stepped through the door, I felt like I was a problem more than a patron. The food was okay but a very small portion. The way it was spiced was very odd too like it was almost buttery and not at all what I ordered. Do not plan on returning.
This is definitely one of our new favorite restaurants. Very simple and amazing Chinese food. We had a large variety to try. We couldn't stop eating. Everything was so amazing. The owners are super kind. They kept checking on us and making sure we were doing great. The food had amazing flavor, and perfect size servings. We could not eat everything. Check them out.
Panda Express
The taste is okay and price is reasonable for huge portion food. Paid around 11$ for food and water
This Panda Express is usually very crowded, and I have received orange chicken that tastes more like chemicals than usual, my guess would be degreaser got on the chicken that day. It's convenient and close, but there are better food options in Paradise Palms

Best Won Ton Pi & Hong Kong Style noodles....great chewy texture. I vacuum seal, freeze and bring back to Japan all the time. Hard to find this kind of wrapper in Japan...they mostly have gyoza wrappers here which is not good for Cantonese Won Ton....it over cooks quick and your left with a soggy blob of Won ton. The cashier/?owner? is All business so you better have your ducks in a row!
Freshly made noodles and wrappers - there were probably over 10 types of noodles and 5+ types of wrappers. The wonton noodles were chewy and bouncy. We bought extra to take home - popped them in the fridge then brought them in our luggage!
