Family owned and the food is the best around hands down. Food is always fresh and place is always clean. In the photos is Shrimp with Broccoli and (not on the menu) Wonton soup no broth Drizzle of oyster sauce and scallion. I have like to have as an appetizer. 👍

Exceptional service, great tasting food and very affordable. Food is hot, served quickly and huge portions.

Delicious noodle dish.. will definitely order again. My take out order was ready 10 minutes after a phone call.

Just had a great meal from Bamboo Garden - new owners in March 2022. Great portions and amazing flavor. I had Crab rangoon - best ever. Mongolian beef, Hunan Chicken and Chinese donuts. All delicious!

The food here is very delicious. This is my second time eating here. Every time I come to Sarasota, this is my eating spot. The people are very nice and the place is very clean.

Over the last thirty years of visiting and now living in the Sarasota area we have been looking for a great Chinese restaurant in Sarasota. After visiting many, many, many Chinese restaurants we have finally found a great Chinese restaurant, Asian Kitchen. They have a dining room that seats 30. It is comfortable, inviting, and immaculately clean. In addition, there is a steady flow of take-out orders. The owner, Sam, with his genuine grace and manner is very inviting and treats his customers like family. We have never been disappointed with any of the food items that we have ordered, though we do have our favorites. The Lunch Combo choices are delicious and a large portion (easily a two meal amount). A few of our favorite items are the orange chicken and lemon chicken. Their fried dumplings, egg rolls, and hot and sour soup are the best that we have ever had, anywhere. We dine at Asian Kitchen, at least, once a week. In addition, it is our go to meal to carry-out for our New Year’s Eve celebration. Asian Kitchen is located in the Palmer Crossing Plaza, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Clark and Honore Roads in Sarasota.

We recently ordered takeout from Taste of Hong Kong in the Gulf Gate area, and it was an exceptional experience! We ordered the General’s Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli with Garlic Sauce, Beef Chow Fun with their homemade hand-stretched noodles, and Boneless Ribs. Every dish was freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. The General’s Chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sweetness and heat. The Chicken and Broccoli had a rich, savory garlic sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The Beef Chow Fun was a standout—the hand-stretched noodles were tender and had a great texture, truly a cut above the rest. The Boneless Ribs were tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. This is hands-down the best Chinese food we’ve had since moving to Sarasota. Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area. We’ll definitely be back!

Let me preface this with I've probably only written 3-4 online reviews in my life; and, I've been a small business owner in this town for over 20 years so I know how bad reviews can hurt businesses. I really just feel like I have to warn people about this place. I've always wanted to try this place because I've heard nothing but good things about it. I wish I could say the same. I called to order a quart of the seafood fried rice and the pork dumpling appetizer. They told me it would be 40 minutes. 40 minutes for some fried rice and a few dumplings! I walked in 40 minutes later and I had to wait another 15 minutes. There was nobody really in the place. I finally get my food and I pay (somehow $7.99 + $14.99 added up to over $27 after tax. I'm still scratching my head over that). I get home starving after working a 12-hour shift and then waiting an hour to get my Chinese takeout. I dump the fried rice in my plate and there's four shrimp and two small scallops in a quart of rice. When I had called to order she asked me if I wanted it spicy or medium and I told her medium. I took my first bite and I felt like my face was going to melt off. It was literally the worst fried rice I've ever had in my life. Like, how can you mess up fried rice? It's just fried rice. I ate the 4 shrimp and two scallops and pitched the rest. The pork dumplings were basically generic like they got them from their distributor. I ate 2 of the 5. I don't even know what to say. I'm just super disappointed. Is there any good Chinese takeout in this town at all??

Awesome 50's style kitchen tables and chairs if you wanna eat in. Easy to read menu. -excellent font choice and not in 4pt. Typical real estate magazines to read while you wait...($1.2M for a 860sq. ft condo?!)... General Tso, chicken and broccoli and wonton (9 total dumplings btw, spoon for scale, coming off the spoon). Not greasy, easy on the stomach including the non-greasy egg rolls. Mustard, duck sauce and pepper sauce packets at the end of the counter. Excellent work. Taaaasteeee.

Had Won Ton Soup hardly any taste to the soup the one tons were thick and doughy, the meat was awe full minced something. Chicken Lo mein again was greasy hardly any chicken in sight and no taste. Sorry we will not return to Mr Wok.

I’m from Philly and New Jersey. The Chinese food average is at top tier where I am from. After 3 years of searching Bradenton and the north half of Sarasota I’ve landed here. This is the best I’ve had yet. The lunch special was fair in price and portions but to me that is irrelevant at this point. The food was just like home and it’s not all msg like every other place. The rice was perfect with the correct amount of pork along with the lo mien. The chicken could have been a tad crispier but this is Florida and I don’t think I’ll find a better Chinese place. Eat here with confidence.

The food we had was terrible. It seemed like the pork was cooked ages ago and just reheated for my order. Half of it ended up in trash. Chicken with cashew nuts was a bit better than pork, but still tasteless. I was disappointed.

Really good! I ordered from here when the usual place I order from was closed and New China was a great pick. Lots to pick from and good sized portions. The barbecue ribs were delicious tender and had a nice smoky flavor. Crab Rangoons were crispy and had plenty of sweet and sour sauce. Bourbon chicken is tasty and the Beef with mushrooms was great with a nice selection of vegetables. I got delivery and it was quick and came packaged nice with plenty of sauces and fortune cookies!

I'm from California and I have my favorite places to eat out there but if I'm being completely honest the food at New China tastes so good to me that I sometimes forget I'm in Florida at a different restaurant than the ones back home. The prices are reasonable my go to plate is Mongolian beef extra extra spicy no veggies on pork fries rice them egg rolls go crazy it's like the fourth of when you bite into one just exploding with flavor 🤯 but when I'm in the mood for pork all I do is switch over to Mongolian fried pork on pork fries rice and 1 or 2 packets of duck sauce and I'm 1 happy camper. I eat here 2-3x's a week it's that good. Lots of people order the fried chicken it looks delicious and smells amazing I'm sure when I'm craving chicken I'll give it a try I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to use my chopsticks to hold the legs and thighs 😂.

Better wings don’t exist In The World. Forget any other restaurant. This is IT! 25 Stars

The food was good. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was clean, the cashew chicken was good, a bit too much sauce. they should put more veggies in the veggie fried rice. Veggie spring rolls were mushy and not crispy. The white rice was good, like always. Nothing really special about this place. Would kinda recommend skipping it in the future.

Personable & helpful young lady took our order (take out only - no eat in, not sure if they deliver) and food was ready on time. Spring rolls were crisp and delicious and the general Tso’s tofu was crisp with plenty of sauce! Would definitely recommend and will order from them again.

Food is great. The only reason I don't give them a 5 star is because they don't put Chinese vegetables in their meals. I love szashwan chicken with Chinese vegetables, not just green peppers and onions and carrots. Ther are no water chestnuts, baby corn, bamboo shoots , buckchoy, pea pods bean sprouts. All the vegetables that makes Chinese food great.

Ordered on Door Dash tonight and you guys are on point every time. Consistently delicious and fresh food! The egg roll I had tonight was about as fresh as you could get! Thank you for dinner!

I was a little hesitant given some of the reviews, especially of the General Tso, but it was delicious. I got the Phoenix & Dragon with chicken, shrimp, vegetables and Lo Mein. It was $4 more for the Lo Mein but it was a lot of food. And I got five large shrimp and a ton of chicken in the dinner. I also got egg roll (haven't had yet) and crabmeat rangoon (deliciously slightly sweet)

The Rice Box - Sarasota: A Takeout Gem for Pan-Asian Cuisine The Rice Box in Sarasota is a fantastic choice for takeout if you’re craving well-executed, flavorful Pan-Asian dishes. Our order included a Crab Rangoon appetizer, which was perfectly crispy on the outside with a creamy, delicious filling. For mains, I had the Tofu in Bourbon Sauce, while my friend enjoyed the Three Meat Fried Rice—both were excellent. The flavors were spot on, and the food arrived exactly as we ordered it. Portion sizes were generous, easily enough for two meals per person, making it an outstanding value for the price. Everything was well-prepared, fresh, and delicious, with no mistakes or missing items—a rarity for takeout! If you’re looking for satisfying, high-quality Asian cuisine at a reasonable price, The Rice Box is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Food is absolutely fabulous! The fried rice is actual fried rice. Not that light red/ orange crap with diced carrots and peas. This the only place I'll spend my money for good take out! Service is great too!! It's a win, win for me

There are 2 things which have remained consistent with this location over the past half a decade and it’s that their prices continue to be on the rise and they count every grain of rice they serve in your bowl or plate. I was craving rice and caved in. My bowl of noodles and egg fried rice was $8.30… no meats. The one thing that really appealed to me was their fruit based sweet teas. Its amazing, refreshing, not too sweet, bursting with flavor. Their fruit combo is great, I had their mango and guava mix, they also have peach, pomegranate, pineapple, lychee etc.

Still delish! Still a clean dining experience- great food - even though their prices continue to climb… it’s good food snd great customer service 🩵
