Chinatown Express
Food is pretty good. Price is great. We actually order their catering trays quite a bit. The price point is fairly good and the quality/freshness is very good. Also everyone that works there has been super helpful and nice when it comes to our ordering.
Just brought a meal at this place and got home to enjoy it. The food was horrible. COLD ORANGE CHICKEN. But I was there and saw them bring a fresh pan out. The meat was tough and hard. Can you say hard rubber. Had to chew it a thousand times. My teeth hurt from chewng so much to get my food down. The chow-main noodles were cold too. What, did the steamer break down? Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. They one person serving the counter. As she was taking counter orders, she would stop and would get a phone order pick up. That was the low blow. People standing in line and some joker comes in for a quick CUT IN LINE WHY DON'T YOU. The process was slow. This ordering on-line thing is getting out of hand. It's just another way for people to be lazy. The prices may have going up but the service and food is taking a noise dive. It will be a long time before I order food there again, like years. I posted a picture of the meal I didn't finish. If you think it looks good, you're right. It just looks good.
P.F. Chang's
This seems like a fairly new concept for this chain. I usually dine-in and was expecting the same at this location. The service was ok but the portions were way too small for the price. Sauces, extra napkins, if you need them, and the bathroom were not available. The location was far from the popular hangout areas with only 5 tables and no one attending. Dining should not be an option in my opinion. Parking is behind the building in a 2 level garage. No value.
P.F. Chang’s in Orlando serves delicious food with great flavors! The sesame chicken was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by fresh veggies and brown rice. A fantastic dining experience!
Hometown Restaurant
This restaurant has a good variety of authentic Chinese dishes. We got the braised pork ($14.95), lamb casserole ($14.95), and eggplant ($9.95). For the price, I have to say I was impressed! The braised pork had mostly really tender pieces and great flavor. The lamb casserole had a strong lamb flavor and delicious noodles in it! I thought the lamb pieces were kind of tough. The eggplant was delicious. We asked for less spicy, and it was perfect.
Quick service. Food came almost immediately after the server took the order. All the dishes were very delicious!
Rougamo千层肉夹馍
The only Chinese-style hamburger joint (as of the date of this review) in Irvine but luckily it happens to be an incredibly delicious one that’s authentic to the ones coming from Xi’an, China. Highly recommend the braised pork and black pepper beef hamburgers as the recommended selections.
Aka. Crispy Rougamo A hidden gem. We ordered two crispy lamb buns, garlic string beans, and lamb soup, and all were filling and worth the value. The lamb bun is the size of a burger, and super flaky and fresh. The lamb soup came with a side of fresh cilantro and spicy paste, add to taste - gave an extra depth to the soup for sure. The lamb broth was soothing to my soul. Definitely will be back to try other dishes here.
胡一南 Master Hu
Ordered takeout via Fantuan, and overall, it was quite disappointing. 1. Stir-fried pork – The meat was tough and dry, resembling pre-made food rather than freshly cooked stir-fry. 2. Braised beef and beef offal – The flavor was mediocre, nothing special about the broth, and the ingredients didn’t seem particularly high-quality. 3. Century egg with mashed eggplant – The portion was shockingly small, with just one century egg and a tiny amount of eggplant and green pepper. Overall, the dishes were overly greasy, the prices were unreasonably high for the portion sizes, and the quality did not justify the cost. Would not recommend.
We visited this place for a weekday lunch and we were disappointed. First of all the price for each dish is pretty expensive: about 20 dollars for a dish. The amount does not match the price. we thought the rice would be free or an extra couple dollars but nope, the only way to get rice is ordering that rice dish with few corn in which is 3.5 and it was so little amount of rice. The food was pretty authentic, well with a good amount of oil and salt. The best part is the beef in the rice noodles. Two of us ordered 3 dishes plus rice and it was 60+ before tips and we were not even full. We poured our own water, napkins and chopsticks are already in the table drawer. The waiters served our food from five steps away and cleaned our table in a hurry right after we finished. I was hoping it could be an authentic sit down Chinese restaurant but it seems like just another fast food style but expensive place.
Mama Lu’s Dumpling House
Yikes, something was off with every dish we ordered. See photos below. The beef puff was hard and crusty. The taro cake was burnt and tasted like socks. Congee rice pieces were too big and watery, the century egg tasted 2 centuries old. The soup dumpling skins were swollen with moisture. An ad for Potato construction lol. Even the fortune cookie messages gave off the vibe that they didn't even try. The design and decor of the space was nice but everything else was a huge miss.
We came here at Friday night to had dinner. This place is located nearby a supermarket and also has meet fresh inside the store. This is kind of like Cantonese Style restaurant and their menus has a lot of different options. We tried beef wrap, spicy wontons, Juicy pork dumplings, and walnut shrimp. They also have dim sum as well. All of them are very tasty and delicious. I will highly recommend this for anyone who loves the Cantonese food.
China Town Express
Older lady skimps the plates sometimes and I expect to get big portions when I come home from work starving and stay loyal to them. I avoid every other Chinese spot on the way home which there’s a lot and come here cause I’m loyal to them. I’ve been here since the two sisters back in the days, I miss them sisters I remember I would be able to feed me and my girlfriend at the time with one plate maybe they just had love for us cause it was just every other day but let me tell you them plates were fat. I couldn’t even close the lid. Ps.. Josh Will somewhere down there in the reviews your just a hater there Food is the best In🍊 County
This has become my go to spot for Chinese fast food. Portions are very generous and flavor is consistent. I usually get the combo B with just chow mein and double spicy orange chicken. I add a side of BBQ pork and only pay about $13. You can't beat that price considering the amount of food you get. The spicy beef is also really good or the regular orange chicken. It can get busy on Sundays and on Saturday evenings, but the line moves rather quickly. They accept debit cards, with an added $.50 fee. FYI
Golden Gate Chinese Fast Food
Location is a little dirty, and food looks to be sitting out for some time. Food itself isn't much to rant about. i don't like it much, but they have good prices & amazing portions
First time here. I was greeted with a smile by a very nice man who took my order. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted to play it safe, and went with the classic fried rice, orange chicken, and veggie egg roll but when I saw how good the rest of the food looked, I began to question my choice... Anyway, the orange chicken and egg roll were absolutely delicious, and the portion was generous. I highly recommend it, and look forward to trying something else on the menu next time I'm craving Chinese food 😊
Panda Express
MELANI JENNY I THANK YOU FOR GREAT SERVICE I APPRECIATE THE KINDNESS PROFESSIONALISM KEEP YOUR POSITIVE OUTLOOK
Came in here on a Sunday night and the staff was so welcoming and joyful. As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly. It's always been one of my favorite panda express locations definitely recommend it.
Golden Dragon
Golden Dragon is a family favorite! We have been coming here for years, making the drive from Riverside, and it's well worth the drive! The Aromatic Shrimp is amazing! The Their Honey Glazed Walnut a shrimp is the best!! Our daughters favorite is the Chicken Chow Mein. Any of the Fried Rice dishes are great, but ours is the House (it's a mix of all of them)! For appetizers, we love the egg rolls!! The service is top-notch! Everyone we bring here gets hooked! Tip: Eat family style so you get to try all the delicious dishes picked by others. You won't be disappointed!😋
We've been here several times because the food is GOOD!!! Gotta have the sizzling rice soup...we got it for 4 people and stuffed ourselves 😆. Orange chicken is good as well as the Mongolian beef! Shrimp fried rice was delicious!!. Friendly atmosphere and good service. Definitely a go-to.
Hong Kong Express
Meh. First time trying this place based on some of the reviews and I would say it’s about average or maybe a little bit less flavorful than Panda Express. $12 for a rice bowl and egg roll.
It’s a solid spot for American-style Chinese food—big portions, friendly service, and honestly, better than Panda Express. But let’s be real: you need to know what you’re signing up for. I’m currently experiencing what I can only describe as a controlled demolition of my digestive system. The food was absolutely delicious, but it’s like swallowing molten lava and waiting for nature to hit the reset button. Not necessarily unpleasant—just a thorough, FDA-unauthorized gut cleanse. Would I eat here again? Absolutely. But next time, I’m bringing Tums and a seatbelt for the toilet. Solid place.
Tasty China Restaurant
It doesn't taste good at all. Taste is not authentic Chinese food. Crab ragoon is not enough filling in it. All I taste was the crunchy skin. No good. Then egg rolls are just not enough meat, just cabbage. Too oily. There is just not enough flavor or seasoning in the food.
Tasty China is our nearby "Go-To" Asian food. Our Lunch Special was Delicious : Shrimp w/Vegetables, the other was Orange Chicken which I asked for non-spicy...both plates were done perfectly to our taste. Simply Lovely, indeed! Thanks for "feeding us" with so much care...
