Mangetsu

1594reviews

We love the traditional tasting foods at Mangetsu. The meats are well done, the soups are tasty, and the kimchee is spicy. The only disappointment is the rice. It's not the traditional sticky rice we love. But everything else is delicious and the service is good! My husband loves Sapporo, so it was well worth the trip from Orlando.

This is very casual restaurant with table service. While the atmosphere is low budget, the food was good quality. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. This is not usually my style of food, but the chicken teriyaki was tasty. They have built in warmers on the tables.

Umami Restaurant and Sushi Bar West Melbourne

There are great Japanese restaurants and then there’s Umami. Food is delicious and staff are friendly. When you walk through the door and into the restaurant is like being transported into another dimension. The Godfather roll is 100% worth it. Best Japanese restaurant in Brevard.

Out shopping an hour from home and decided on Sushi for dinner. This restaurant had a good rating and very good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Plenty of parking and you could smell the cooked food from the parking lot - and it was good!! Arrived at about 6:30pm. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Atmosphere was nice, sushi came out timely and was very good. We split the chef's sushi plate and the chef's sushimi plate. Delicious!! Very fresh! Tastes and textures that were unique and good. We really liked it!!

Siam Orchid Thai & Japanese

I absolutely love this restaurant!! The owner and all of the workers are absolutely amazing. Everytime I come the food is so delicious and has such an amazing flavor. The menus is easy to navigate and they always have good specials to highlight new dishes to try. My favorite restaurant in Melbourne for sure!

I love this spot. The food is phenomenal, it’s nice and relaxed, and the people working are always wonderful. Highly recommend trying out their Kapow, I like to order it with chicken and it’s fantastic. They have excellent boba teas as well, some of the beat I’ve had (the one pictured is lychee with lychee jelly)

Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

A cheese and pasta lovers dream! It’s been years since I have visited an Olive Garden but their endless pasta bowl is back and I had to finally try it! My eyes were bigger than my stomach but I worked my way through a few dishes and everything was great! Our server, Lance, was top notch! So kind, attentive, funny and made us feel right at home with fabulous recommendations and quick service. The pastas were all delicious. Covered in mountains of cheese (per request) with crispy chicken and juicy giant meatballs. The endless salad and breadsticks is always adored and they know it! The chocolate lasagna was fabulous. A dusting of white chocolate over a tower of moist chocolaty layers. Yum! The berry sangrias are refreshing, light and pack the perfect amount of sweetness. For the price, you can’t beat it! Endless food. Clean establishment and wonderful hosts.

Make sure to have a reservation before you go as they have a lot of people going there. I had the chicken alfredo and it was good. I will be back for more as I want to taste more items on the menu.

Sabai Thai Restaurant

0 Stars ****SWILL ALERT**** Today, I feel like a doomed protagonist in a food tragedy gone horribly wrong. This place serves fare from Thailand, China, and Japan. The sushi roller is Thai, the cook Chinese and no one is Japanese. As I've mentioned repeatedly, sushi is only consumed in Thailand by tourists. These places tend to be hit-and-miss. This is a stand-alone; although the name is prevalent throughout the States, it is not part of a chain. At least not that my editor could find out online. Annie is the server and handles the entire restaurant impressively without missing a beat. She is working 12 full tables. This shows you want tenacity and hard work will get you. I asked Annie for some Pad Se Eaw, Green Curry with Tofu, a J.B. Temaki Roll and one Tuna Roll. As soon as Annie returned with my grub, I snapped a few pics and got to work. Everything looked and smelled fine. However, that is not why people eat. People eat because they are hungry and the food is good. Their offering of Pad Se Eaw was first up on the Big Boy's palate. Pad Se Eaw are stir-fried flat noodles with egg and fresh vegetables served in a Thai sweet soy sauce. If it only tasted half as good as it read, this would be a different review. As it stands, the sauce was fetid and inedible. Or maybe the noodles were bad. Regardless, I couldn't eat it. After the failed Pad Se Eaw, I focused on the Green Curry with Tofu. I love Green Curry. Traditionally served with bell peppers, carrots, bamboo shoots, green peas, zucchini, horapha (Thai Basil), and snow peas simmered in coconut milk and green curry paste. The combination of the Green Curry zing and the Coconut Milk's sweetness is one of my favorite flavor combinations. My protein of choice for this dish was tofu. I knew this was not good in one bite as the tofu was dry. This told me it wasn't stored properly. Now, whoever made this dish knew that when they got the tofu out of the walk-in or from under the prep table and decided to serve it to me anyway. FAIL. The J.B. Temaki roll was staring at me in anticipation, and I figured it had to get better. I wrapped my meat hooks around it and tentatively took a bite. It tasted so fishy that I checked the dumpster on the way to my car to see what smelled worse. This was waaaaaaaay past edible. Strike 3! Usually, I would call it quits at this point, but I did have one more selection to sample—their Tuna Roll. After the fishy J.B. Temaki, I was extraordinarily leery but had a job to do. SMELL YOUR SUSHI ROLLS PEOPLE. These little Thai clip joints hold the near fatal sushi for the rolls. I waived the fish under my proboscis. My nostrils just closed in sympathy with my recollection. Absolutely life threatening. The Big Boy says, “I just spent $72.00 for an unsweetened tea! Do NOT eat here. ****SWILL ALERT****

This place was fabulous! We were in a rush and they had our orders in and the food out super fast. And it was not half-baked. It was extremely tasty. We opted for Thai, getting a Massaman curry with chicken and a noodle dish with beef. Both of these were amazing. Total cost after tip was still under $40 which is unheard of for 2 people in 2023. We are often in the area but rarely eat out due to having family we usually eat at home with. If we have another night where we need to grab dinner, we would absolutely come back here.

Osuki Sushi

My wife and I love sushi and we were told by a friend about this place so we drove up from Vero Beach for lunch. We love the atmosphere and the service was great. They give you a piece of paper and you select what you want and how many of it. It is a set price for lunch and dinner with all you can eat. We hit our limit after 3 rolls each. They give you a good portion each time. The rolls were amazing. They took the paper and you didn’t have to wait long for the food which was great so you got to try a few different ones. We will for sure be coming back the food tasted amazing and looked as good as it tastes. The price was great also. If we would have gone to one of the Vero sushi locations it would have cost way more.

Was an unexpected surprise. Service was great, they explained the process clearly and didn't try and slow fire the orders. The food really was much better than I expected. Good clean fish, presented well. The paper tuna stole the show for me, highly recommend.

Pho Viet Noodle House & Restaurant

903reviews

Great portions and tasty. Prices are fair too. Sevice is to the point but you’re coming here for the diverse menu items not the chit chat with staff anyway right? Solid place.

Full of delicate flavors, the perfectly crispy Vietnamese pancake was the absolute best ban xao we ever had. The menu photo shows cucumbers on the side but the photo I have shown has no cucumber. The Pho (chicken) did not come with accoutrements, or that plate is supposed to serve both? The Pho Ga did not come with chicken bone in like photo. Instead it was thin slices of chicken breast or something similar. The stir-fry with steak and broccoli- had super fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. Summer rolls were not served with any greens. No greens inside of rolls. Very noodle heavy. Good food, reasonable prices but serves for American style customer.

Makotos Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

The food was cold, and I informed the service girl. She offered to warm it up, but I declined. Service was perfect she was very clear at the moment she explained all the questions. Atmosphere was ok, nothing to brag about. Just ok.

I've never had a bad experience at this Makoto's. The aspect of theater can interfere with intimacy, but that's the point. The food is always very good. The nigiri sushi (tuna, salmon) was delicious, with raw Wasabi and ginger. The house salad with ginger dressing was crisp. The Miso soup is good, but it's chicken broth. The filet mignon was good with sweet carrots and good fried rice. It's very filling and I always end up taking part of my meal home. The service was timely and polite. I recommend it though not for a date.

Melbourne Seafood Station

Dropped a star for zero phone service.. Seriously, don't ignore the phones; that's money too. And NEVER answer & hang up, that's just rude! We're really glad the Family Value Pack is back! The service & food were great. The broccoli was cooked perfectly! The only bummer was we ordered it spicy and with garlic, but that, it was not. I guess we'll have to try it again next week.

The raw oysters and snow crab clusters are so fresh and tasty. we were just passing by and found this place. Turns out a savory surprise! The best had in Orlando. Would recommend to friends. And the wine ohhh so great.

Apollo Diner

1536reviews

Older classic diner that was recommended by my local car dealer when getting service. It's very rustic in a nice way with a warm homey feel with lots of wood. The menu is fairly typical Greek diner style but they also sell some Arabic and Turkish products by the counter went with the classic biscuits and gravy with a side of two scrambled eggs. This had very thick.and rich sausage gravy which is sure to fill your stomach. I felt there was a bit too much black pepper in it for my taste, but you may like that. The scrambled eggs helped mellow it out. The coffee was OK and smooth, refilled frequently. The wait staff was super friendly. I would like to try some of the other classic dishes here and see if how that is But for now, I would give this 3.5 stars, until I am back on this area again.

A local home feel diner with delicious food and friendly service. We came for breakfast and we weren't disappointed at all. Highly recommend this place to visit while in town.

Asian Gourmet

We stopped into Asian Gourmet right after arriving in Orlando from Colorado. I’m so glad we did! Every meal we got was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. We ate every last bite. Service was fantastic. It was amazing to hear the history of the restaurant and long time chef and employees. We had the Pad Thai, Pho Sate with steak, and Ying Yang bowl. We also got to try the decadent cheesecake wontons. We are only here for three days, but we plan to go back!

This is the best pho I've had outside Thailand. I wish the broth i made at home was as good as theirs!! All their food is made from scratch and sourced fresh as possible. Can't wait to come back and try more of their offerings!!

Bakudan -Asian Street Fare-

Fun Asian street food in a cafe like atmosphere. Service was nice and gave good recommendations. I ended up getting some dumpling and the Takoyaki. Classic items and were cooked well. I liked the chili crisp used and the sweetness of the dumplings. The Takoyaki could have been a bit more crispier but pretty good too. They also have boba too that’s simple and hits the spot.

🍜An Eatery for Anime Fans of all Ages🧋 If you're an otaku, cosplayer, or fan of Japanese pop culture, you should definitely check this place out! The walls are lined with anime artwork, the bubble tea menu is inspired by characters and series (the Lon Lon Ranch Milkshake is to die for), and the food nods toward the cuisine commonly seen in popular anime series (everything from ramen with Narutomaki, to Takoyaki). Everything I ordered tasted amazing and looked visually appetizing. This place is highly photographable, and would make an awesome dinner spot after a day at a convention (I get the feeling cosplayers would be more than welcomed!). Will gladly return here to eat again!
