One love KV INC Restaurant
Friendly staff. Large portions!! Oxtails were very flavorful and fall off the bone. The jerk chicken was so good! The rice was a little dry and mushy but it was good
On 7/29 evening I pull-up up to the store to get some food. I haven’t been here in a while and wanted some good food. There was an all day lunch special last time I was here. I asked about it and the lady give me attitude like tf that about. Big ole lady get a new job miss miserable I Been going here for years but not anymore.
Red Lotus Restaurant
I’m from California, now living in Texas and visiting Providence. Red Lotus is one of my very favorite restaurants. It was worth the two hour drive each way. Larry the chef/owner is a terrific host and has a great non-traditional Asian menu. Last night’s appetizer was shrimp stuffed jalapeños cooked tempura style. We could have ordered four of those and made that our dinner. For the entree, you can’t go wrong with the Peking Beef. My fav. No mater what I’ve had there, it has been pretty wonderful. A big plus is that staff are well trained and help each other with serving and picking up.
The best Asian restaurant I been to the fall of the bone 🍖 ribs are the best in Connecticut I will be back. Nice place for date with your spouse
Mici Asian Bistro
The food was decent, although not exactly to my taste, but it's suitable for those who enjoy Asian cuisine. During our visit with friends, we tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, but the vegetarian choices were quite limited. We sampled the steamed dumplings, which differed from what I'm accustomed to at other Asian eateries, and I found them quite satisfying. Additionally, the two veg sushi rolls were enjoyable. The veg spring rolls were okay, similar to those served elsewhere. We also ordered veg fried rice and vegetable udon, which were a bit bland; we had to enhance their flavor with the sauces provided for the sushi, spring rolls, and dumplings. My friends who opted for non-vegetarian dishes found them satisfactory but also slightly lacking in flavor. One aspect I didn't appreciate was the lack of customization options for vegetarians. Overall, I had a positive experience and would rate it a 6 out of 10.
This is our local favorite restaurant in the Trumbull area. We visit usually every Friday night for either a Chinese or Japanese meal depending on the feeling. The restaurant is locatedinthe Long Hill section of Trumbull in a newly renovated building. Upon entry you are greeted by the hostess and the always happy sushi chefs. There are 5 seats at the sushi bar if you choose to watch your meal being prepared or there or numerous tables and booths. Therr is a bar located as well with seating for 6 and includes a TV for those wanting to watch your sports game. Our goto for appetizers is the sushi pizza. If you enjoy sushi this is a must try you will be a believer. If sushi is your choice the rolls are professionally prepared and the presentation is as good as the rolls taste. On a cold night I would suggest the hot and sour soup, tastefully seasoned and not overly salty. Next time you are looking for a good meal with excellent service stop by for a drink and sampling of their Asian fusion cuisine.
Sarku Japan
This is located in the food terrace of the Trumbull Mall. I wasn’t expecting much because it is in the mall, fortunately it exceeded my expectations. They had a buy one get half off chicken teriyaki deal. The chicken had lots of flavor. The worker asked if I wanted extra sauce on top which probably added to the flavor. I was able to mix in the extra with my rice.
So I. Told the lady that I wanted a eel roll. She looks at me.And said we have a special role with eel. I told her yes.But i'm allergic to shellfish. She looks at me and says we don't do no Specialty roll. It's not hard to do A simple eel roll. When you have the stuff. Before I say anything else she decided to take the next customer Behind me. That's really Rude. So I Decided to go to their competitor. It's. A dollar cheaper For the chicken teriyaki. Just want to say next time.Teach your workers how to have a good customer service. Then ask if there is anything else that they want to order. I. Work for restaurant as well. And I tried to make my customers Leave happy.
Ten Asian Bistro
🚨NEVER EVER GOING BACK 🚨 I gave one starts only for sushi , sushi was good but feels not fresh , there were fruit flies 🪰 everywhere and going on the food ,and pad Thai had no flavor, Tom yum soup had no flavor whatsoever. Worst Thai I ever ate, we left the whole food on the table and called the manager and she said every restaurant have the fruit flies. She was very rude We were so upset. Never going back .
The food was on point. We ordered a bunch of apps. Everything is fresh and hot. Cristal, our waitress was friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you, Cristal, for going above and beyond. If you're in Trumbull Mall, go check them out. You will leave fat happy and satisfied
Pantanal Restaurant
U can take out or eat in. Nice salad bar that’s always fresh and hot foods. Seasoned n taste good. I’m trying to eat healthier so it’s become my go to when I’m out n about during the day. But I’m not coming until after 11…that when the steak is ready…yum..
The food was ok, meat was tender. Wasn't seasonedike normal. Preferred Banana Brazil in Waterbury.
Creole Fusion Cuisine
After having a bad experience with "Ronald's Restaurant" (check out my review for that resto), "Creole Fusion Cuisine" made my day. This is by far the best haitian food and Fritay I have had in Bridgeport CT. I had black rice with pigeon peas and legumes, plus a Fritay. My goodness, the food tasted so freaking good. By the way this is the first resto where i eat a legumes with real beef, not freaking turkey 🤮Although the fritay was a bit expensive ($23) but they give you food for your money (just my opinion), the medium black rice /legumes was $14. Not bad. My only problem with the resto is the appearance. If they could invest a little bit on its look that would be wonderful. Overall the food was excellent.
I order rice with red beans and chicken in chicken sauce. They gave me chicken hawk when I told them the regular chicken which is soft chicken. Chicken hawk is hard that’s what they serve me. The rice they serve me was uncooked it didn’t taste good at all. I took a few scoop of spoon and I save the rest for later. I end up eating the rest of the rice later. I was really starving so it didn’t taste that bad when I was really hungry. The chicken they serve didn’t taste that good. They didn’t season it right. I end up finishing eating it later cause I was really hungry
Queens Delight Cafe
Absolutely incredible, I don't have the words to do it justice. After having a real mid experience at a "classic" style diner the other day Queen's Delight was my Delight. Can't imagine a better way to start the morning than with a stomach full of perfection. Wings were flavorful, skin crispy without being crunchy, fruity pebble French toast was holding a bowls worth of ceral, and together made a combo fit for a Queen. Music and vibes were immaculate! If you're in town or passing through you need to make the stop for this breakfast without question.
Look, the food is fire , very good and worth the try. However for the price I probably wouldn’t be back. Is it the best chicken and waffles I’ve had ? Probably, but for the price I can’t say it’s worth it . Six chicken wings and a waffle for about 25 bucks doesn’t seem that bad but they are like a “football Sunday” wing size . Can find comparable albeit not as good chicken and waffles for half the price .
Johnny's Restaurant
If someone offered to pay us to eat here, we would still not go ever again! The food was bland and the place was dirty. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 20 years- yellow oil stains on the walls. No room to move around if you sit near the window. We genuinely wrapped up all the food to go to be polite. We wont be finishing it. The atmosphere and environment was truly as bad as the food. When we sat down I said to my partner- "should we leave?" before we even ordered, lesson learned, shoulda left.
Best pancakes ever. Moist and hot. My wife had an omelette it was cheese and fluffy. The potatoes were very flavorful. Can't wait to go back and try French toast. Old school diner. Short order cook. Been there 20 years
Stanziato's
Food quality / price (value) rating 8. The atmosphere is Mediterranean pizza restaurant. I tried to order their "Vodka Sauce Based" Special Pizza, and was told they don't have that pizza right now because they sold out for the holiday (Labor Day), which didn't make any sense to me because when questioned, the server admitted that all of the ingredients for the Vodka Sauced pizza were indeed available. So I ordered the "Show Me the Honey" pizza with Vodka Sauce, which included everything that would be on the special pizza (except salami in place of the pepperoni which is still also available). I was charged an extra $3.50 for the Vodka sauce instead of them honoring the advertised special. Anyhow, the pizza was very good, except they left an inordinate amount of crust uncovered with sauce, which is kind of stingy. (See photo of leftover crust.). I also had a flight of draught beers that was priced okay at $15, but there was about a one ounce head on top of each 5 oz glass, where at most places the glass is filled to the top. The wife had the Cauliflower Pizza and liked it very much. Overall, it was a fairly average experience.
We go to Stanziatos, 1-2 times a month, and over the last 7-8 years we were always satisfied with the food and the service. That’s until our last visit. I ordered the Bone Marrow appetizer (as I always do) but this time I received only half the portion (one bone with marrow and one bone with no marrow). See the photo below. Initially I assumed it was a mistake, but when I called the manager, she said “We serve the bones randomly, that’s our policy”, and she refused to change the dish. She then took the dish back to the kitchen (and took it off my check). As an ex-owner of two successful restaurants in Manhattan I was totally surprised and disappointed. This is beyond “The customer is always right”, it just doesn’t make any sense. They rather lose a loyal customer than replace the dish. Unbelievable!!!
Bangkok
Highly recommend it! These are the menu items that never disappoint: • Curry puffs • Crab fried rice • Boba (Honeydew is my favorite) The mango sticky rice was okay. The soups are all flavorful, but they contain very small portions of meat.
This restaurant is fantastic. Best yellow curry I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. Saved to my Google maps so that we can come again on our way down to NJ.
House of Yoshida
Amazing experience! The food is delicious, sashimi was so fresh, and the eel risotto was out of this world! Thank you to the staff!
Having lived in Japan for the past 7 years, finding good and authentic Japanese food here has been a mission. Most places I take a look at the menu and that’s enough for me, it doesn’t resemble Japanese food at all. Until I drove past this place. The name was a give away as it didn’t have a generic tacky Japanese name, and further research taught me that this place was Japanese owned. First thing I noticed upon entering was that there were Japanese people eating here, a good sign for me. The waiter Shun-San is a Tokyo native and it was a good chance to speak some Japanese. The menu was decent and the sushi not too bad. The tempura was fantastic. I’d say it’s adapted somewhat for the local palette but if I want Japanese food, this is where I will go to get my fix, and it’s the only place you should go too if you want close to authentic Japanese food. I didn’t try the ramen dishes which I will next time, and they have sake too.
