We ordered house lo mein, two orders of chicken wings the were fresh hot and on point (wish we got more). We also ordered spare rib tips very good, the beef and broccoli was very good as well ( I asked them to make the broccoli soft they followed directions well). All those other reviews that are less than are weird. These people are nice and polite and they’re food reminds me of Up North NYC. We don’t play about our Chinese food at all. 10/10 will try again.

Worst owners of a Chinese restaurant in town! We’ve ordered from this place time and time again and ordered 70$ worth of food on a weekly basis. They forgot our order of dumplings and never checked it off. So we decided to call them back and tell them they forgot our order and never check it off their list and they said to us, “You’re lying, you’re trying to rip us off.” This is over $5.75. Well guess what, no More business from us. Be wary and check everything in your bag! Over $5.75! Amazing!

Went for sushi and it was excellent. Ordered chicken satay and shrimp curry to go. The chicken satay was just about the weakest chicken display I have ever seen. $9 dollars for maybe 3 ounces of chicken. Hate leaving a bad review but when I went back there to show her she said “ Yes it’s bigger when it starts”. Ummm what kinda chicken shrinks that much? Last time we will visit unfortunately. This chicken was extremely dry and chewy. Maybe leftover. Edit: 11//09/ 24 look at picture 4. That is chicken satay! Juicy and delicious.

The service was very fast. We were seated, then 2 minutes later they came to get our order. The sushi was alright. I would prefer it to be cold rather than warm. No loud music.

At first we thought no one is coming to this resto but we were wrong. We were just early 😅 Before we left almost all their tables were occupied. Food is okay. The staffs were so attentive with our needs, and the place is quiet unlike other buffet resto wherein as if you are in a market place. I like that it is a table top buffet so you do not have to stand up and get food. You just have to fill out the order form. They also give minimal servings which we like so as not to waste food.

Did the all you can eat. Food was really good. Fish tasted fresh. No reservation needed!

I had the salmon special with risotto and it was so delicious. It was like a little bit of heaven in every bite! It was flavorful and creamy. They definitely know how to cook a good fish. The dinner portions were a good size but the sandwiches/burgers were a bit smaller. The restaurant has a high end atmosphere with small tables and even a loft with more tables. I liked the décor and it was nice to see a bit into the kitchen. The waitress was very nice and friendly. She remembered the order of our large table but didn't stop back enough to fill the water glasses.

Tasty American Food Joint. Serves the specialty in forms of Tavern - Wings. Had a takeout order for the first time. Food was really good. Quantity is decent. Good variety from salads to American Burgers and the Wings. Their fries are really really delicious. Highly recommended.👍🏼 It was my 2nd time with this restaurant for Dine-In Again same experience with food. No doubt its good. But really sad to see such a pathetic service. The attendants were really busy in gossip. I asked for Ketchup and I didn’t even get it. The waitress were all rude & not even paying any attention to the orders. One of my favorite places to eat in Stratford. The Vietnamese food is delicious and far more authentic than the fake fusion places (cough, Mecha, cough). The atmosphere is lovely and staff and owners are always friendly and welcoming.

Since the new owners took over the already good food has gotten even better. Very tasty, and inexpensive. It is hard to find a good curried chicken and rice anywhere for just $13. I came back again and ordered the most expensive dish: $15:50 for the Pineapple fried rice and the homemade coffee mouse cake for dessert. Both were excellent and the Jasmine tea in the stay- hot pot is a nice touch of class. I came back again and tried the made-from-scratch Lemon-Lime dessert slice. A taste of heaven in every mouthful! One doesn't usually go to a Vietnamese restaurant looking for desserts, but this was extraordinary They recently upgraded the decor

Revised review Went to this eatery after a long time with my family. Seafood Menu has been reduced but still quite good and with reasonable prices. I ordered two lobster tails and my wife ordered fried flounder. Side dishes were plenty and we couldn’t eat all and had to takeout with us. Only thing we didn’t like was small size of serving dishes. I had to transfer one lobster tail to small serving plate and it made my eating unpleasant. I wonder what would have happened had I ordered shrimps too. New management should consider having bigger plates just as any other good restaurants. They can take a clue from Cheesecake Factory restaurant nearby in the Mall. Otherwise it was good experience and we are planning to go there on one of those Thanksgiving holidays. Hopefully management do consider our suggestions for their own business and for their own good. Me and my husband stumbled upon this place and we are so happy we decided to go . Everything was absolutely delicious! The server was very friendly and helpful as we had questions about the menu. The food came out piping hot, flavorful, fresh and quickly! A lot of fresh vegetables too. The spicy rice cakes were absolutely delicious. I personally love the tan tan noodles and this was probably the best beef bulgogi I've ever had. I normally don't even like bulgogi but this was super flavorful without being crazy sweet and had a lot of fresh veg in it too. Can't say enough good things! We will definitely be back.

Food was piping hot and service was quick. They had my order ready in less than 10 minutes.

Friendly little dinner. I can see why locals like it. It's convenient, quick, and relatively cheap. Everything was bland though. It still blows me away how easy it is for restaurants like this that can still undercook and underseason home fries. There is nothing special about this place. Just another average dinner. Also, it's cash only. That's not a problem. I'm just letting anyone know who reads this that, that's a thing.

Lovely atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, cheerful helpful lovely waitress, Nancy. The food is fresh. I ordered the simple but tasty BLT on toasted whole-wheat with coleslaw & side of chips with a fresh pickle! Even the water is tasty, served in an ice cold iced mason jar! All good! Come on down. I recommend Sissy’s!!

This is not our usual place. Either is the one across the street, which we ordered the day before and we’re extremely disappointed to the point that we wanted Chinese again the following night and we chose Golden Jade. Flat-out great food here and I knew it because it’s family run and everyone was friendly. You can tell they take pride in their cooking. We had fried dumplings which would great - they give you 8 and my only critique is they need more filling but the taste is great. The house lomein and house fried rice were outstanding. Fresh and not over sauced. The chicken and broccoli and the general tso chicken were what you expect in the taste department and we’re done very well. Their egg rolls were tasty. The highlight though was the boneless spareribs. So many places get this wrong - these were the best I’ve had in the area even topping my usual place. They had the right amount of glaze, weren’t tough and were made completely using rib meat. Sweet, salty, and easy to chew. This place didn’t disappoint and if it’s a battle between Golden Jade or the one across the street in the junction, Golden Jade is easily the winner.

My favorite local place to get Chinese food. I especially love their pork fried dumplings. It's also a family run business that deserves the love !

We have been ordering from Beijing in South River for many years. The food is always very delicious and delivery is fast. We will be placing another order from Beijing tonight!

I've been eating at No. 1 for years, I'd say close to 20 years now. The food is delicious and is one of the best. But it's not, taxing your customers almost double the price now and raising the prices every month ever since covid, the best. I get that prices went up everywhere. But here it seems prices went up and the food portions stayed the same and some even went down. I'll be lucky if my $9 boneless spare ribs lunch special even has enough meat and rice like it did 2-3 year ago, back when it was still a reasonable $5.50-$6. They'd fill up the tray, now it's half the portion of what they used to give. The pork egg rolls? More like cabbage rolls with pork bits. They used to have actual chunks of pork and now it's mainly just cabbage with the smallest bits of pork you've ever seen. Not even an ant would get full from those small bits. Even Ming's Garden, the absolute worst Chinese place in town, gives better portions. As does Golden Dragon and both of these places have lower prices and have been steady with the rising prices. Unlike No. 1 who's Chinese greed finally caught up to them. While I love the food and will continue to eat there, they need to know that customers notice small changes like this. Especially those who have been eating here for almost 20 years. If they continue these patterns, they risk losing loyal customers and damaging their long standing reputation, potentially becoming No. 2 Chinese...

The worst chinese food i have ever eaten. Bland is not even the word that can describe what a waste of money this was. Plus i am posting a pic of the reciept. Look at all the extra ridiculous charges and yet the do not tell you and you wind up tipping them anyway. So if you do have to order from here do not tip thats what the extra charges are for. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!
